- YUKO (10/5): - 源泉かけ流しの温泉を部屋風呂、貸切風呂と存分に楽しむ事ができました。部屋の露天風呂からやベッドで横になりながら海が眺められ展望は最高でした。 貸切風呂の空き状況を施錠状況で部屋からでも確認できるシステムはとても便利でした。 貸切風呂に部屋のバスタオルを持っていくのは少し面倒でしたがバスタオル、浴衣とも2枚ずつ部屋に用意してあったので許容範囲内といったところ。 食事も和洋折衷で楽しみながら美味しくいただきました。朝食の干物、伊勢海老のお味噌汁がとても美味しかった。 スタッフの皆さん感じのよい接客をされていて気持ちよく過ごすことができました。 スタッフとお客様の会話からリピーター率が高い様なのも納得。 また行きたいと思います。

We emailed them when we were in the area and on the way to the local station. They shuttle van drove up as we were walking out of the station. Thankful for that as the ryokan was on a windy, narrow road. We were greeted warmly and given refreshments and then were given detailed information about the room and facilities. The room itself was above and beyond beautiful and the keiseki dinner was indescribable. It was so special and delicious. The onsen was private. You can go in whenever it is vacant and have the entire onsen to yourself. We did not go out and wander around the area. We fully enjoyed all that the ryokan had to offer and didn't feel that we even wanted to leave to explore. So relaxing after being in Tokyo. Thank you Isaribi for the memorable stay.

- ChrisH96 (10/5): Peace and quiet so close to Tokyo - We were looking for a short break between time in Tokyo and Seoul outside of the hustle and bustle. The Izu Peninsula is an easy drive from Tokyo or Yokohama, and also accessible by train. It feels popular for locals but largely unvisited by us tourists from overseas, but it’s a real gem with great hill and beach scenery, lovely villages and a lot of history. We chose this hotel / ryokan after reading reviews and we were very pleased. Private onsen in our room, plus public onsens that were free to use which both included indoor and outdoor baths. Rooms are very spacious by Japanese standards, immaculately maintained, and very comfortable. We booked breakfast and one dinner - kaiseki menus - and the food was excellent in all cases. Very much recommended from our point of view, and while it’s not cheap, we think good value for money. The staff were also great, with one gentleman in particular speaking excellent English.

- Yvonne (10/5): - The room is excellent - the highlight of my trip. The furnishing looks very new. Room is clean. This is the first time I've ever felt like I was treated like a queen. Upon arrival, they helped us park our car and unload our luggage and brought to our room. They took our shoes and stored with them upon arrival. We were greeted with snacks and coffee while waiting for check-in. Then the hotel manager kindly walked us through the hotel amenities and room. They then helped us set up the room for dinner and cleaned the table and set up the bed after dinner. Truly felt like a queen here. The only two things I'd say is if dinner include other meat options (we were pretty sick of eating fish for several days in a row) and getting to the hotel by car was a challenge. There was a very sharp turn so you had to drive out a bit and do a u-turn. After that, there was a very steep downhill. For those driving by car, be careful! Other than that, everything was top notch.

- Zongyu (10/5): One of the best stay - One of the most amazing stay I have been on. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Japan. Food is great, onsen is FANTASTIC, room is spot clean, staffs is professional and the service is great. 10/10 will stay if we ever visit Izu again.

- Kun (10/5): - My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel in the mid of November 2024. It was late afternoon when we checked in and we didn’t reserve dinner at the hotel (big mistake) because there isn’t much around the place for eating out. So we headed for the local convenience store which is about 15 minutes walk and at the first turn out of the hotel, hotel Staff Carlos spotted us on his way home. He insisted riding us to the store since it’s dark already. We arrived at the store and thanked and said good night to Carlos . Spent 20min and found some good food for the evening and time to walk back. Guess what, Carlos was waiting for us in the parking lot, never left. We felt terribly sorry for keeping him waiting. Anyway he drove us back to left for home then. We are so grateful and cannot thank him enough. He was supposed to be home an hour earlier. Btw, Carlos speaks EXCELLENT English. Besides the pleasant experience, the hotel is great, hot springs in room. Great food as well. I’ll definitely stay there if going back to the area.

The reception was extremely nice and lobby have a terrific seaview. The private bath was stunning. And we had in room dining, service and food are excellent. - 112selenak (10/5): One of the best places I have ever stayed. - Where do I even start? This might have been one of the best places I have ever stayed. From the private onsen on our balcony to the private, massive onsens that could be reserved downstairs. We decided to stay here for 2 days after arriving in Tokyo to relax and deal with our jetleg. Although it takes some time to get from Tokyo to here by public transport (easily 4 hours), it is well worth it. They pick you up at the train-station and are welcomed with a welcome drink. Not much to do in the area but you aren’t there for that, you are there to relax. It’s well worth the price and we would recommend it to everyone!

The team really looked after us and made the trip extra special. The breakfast and dinner every day were superb - the most delicious sashimi and local delicacies served thoughtfully. They also provided a shuttle service to the nearest station so getting around was really easy. The room was beautiful and the views from the private onsen were gorgeous. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. A truly special place and somewhere I would love to return to.

- Ellen (8/5): Good place but pricey - Travelling with 90 year old Mom in decent shape. Requested room w/ ofuro on balcony close to front desk. Got it but price was only tiny bit cheaper than rooms much larger next door & down the hall. Bit disappointed. First nite dinner (w/ lobster sashimi) & next day breakfast excellent. After that the quality was substantially lower. Mom & I have stayed over 500 ryokans in Japan & was disappointed in the second day quality level and tho our waiter was friendly he asked us to serve ourselves from the hot pots & rice cookers - not easy as we were at counter.!The price was high so expected service & quality to match. If price was $200/night less I would give it 5*s. Nice touches - coffee in lounge, classical music, relaxing ofuro (bit in need of naintenance), limited view from rotenburo of ocean but if peace, quiet, good food (albeit at top prices) is your wish, then recommend. Get bigger room than 102. Did not do spa treatments. Very isolated so sightseeing w/out car very difficult. Shuttle service available from station. If you drive yourself be warned that road to ryokan is extremely steep & narrow. Not sure if mini van would be able to access.

- Luke (10/5): Amazing Ryokan - I would like to thank the amazing staff of Isaribi for their hospitality during my trip to Izu peninsula. The food was incredible and possibly the best I had in Japan. The open air onsens by the sea were extremely relaxing. My only regret was that I stayed for just one night. I would love to return some day.

Personnel avenant, parlant tres bien anglais (pas facile au japon d en trouver), accommodant localisation : petite ville tranquille , loin des lieux touristiques. En hauteur par rapport a la mer, vue sur mer avec un leve de soleil magnifique. chambre (traditionnel) : tres confortable, agrements de qualite (incluant du the vert de qualite et sa theiere), bain prive Hotel : calme, beau, bains publics privatisables (a faire), propre Repas : gourmand, de qualite et en bonne quantite voir le levé du soleil de son bain privé, cela est juste magique. Je recommande vivement cet hébergement

The meals were beautifully served in a private booth with large, tasty portions and seasonal, local ingredients. Both onsen were beautifully peaceful, private, and clean. Our room was decorated impeccably with calming, thoughtful touches with a large, comfortable bed. The room also included a private bath with a sunny view of the ocean. We didn’t want to leave, and would gladly return if in the Izu Peninsula again.

- Elvina (8/5): - Beautiful ryokan and wonderful, friendly staff. The place is secluded in a residential area so there isn’t much to explore around. I appreciated the pick up service from the train station and the food was beyond amazing. The only complaint I have is that the wooden onsen in my room was molding and the boards in the bathing area should be replaced immediately.

Le personnel était très accueillant, serviable et agréable. Les bains intérieurs et extérieurs étaient magnifiques et nous y avons passé des moments relaxants. J'ai également effectué un soin du visage avec ma fille que je recommande à faire !! le résultant est incroyable. Le dîner et le petit déjeuner servis en chambre sont fabuleux. C'est un hôtel que je recommande à faire et que nous referons si nous revenons dans la région.

- yu-yunn (8/5): - Although the staff were polite and welcoming, I didn't feel totally at ease. I found a very large spider in the room which the staff were quick to remove, but it did set me on edge (especially as later on in the evening I found more smaller spiders and many small gnats). The room was beautiful but the rest of the facilities look like they're in need of an upgrade. Food was very thoughtfully prepared and made with local ingredients. I've stayed in quite a few ryokan and this was on the more modern side, at the expense of not receiving some of the niceties that are typical of a traditional ryokan stay. While it is a very nice experience overall, I'm not sure if this is something I enjoyed.
- wamysdottir (8/5): A relaxing stay - The hotel is very close to the Izu-Ōkawa station. You may inform them of your arrival time and shuttle service could be arranged. Upon arrival, we were warmly received and a welcome drink was served. The room came with a private outdoor onsen, which was the main reason of our pick of this hotel. There were two common onsen (each with an indoor and outdoor onsen, so you may say four in total) for reservation (which would then become for private use) and during our stay it was very easy to get in. Basically you could check from your phone or their screen whether they were empty and after you got in, you locked the door. We chose a plan with dinner and breakfast, both served in the room. They were bountiful and consisted mainly of seafood and vegetables, which were specialties of the region. The only downside was that the facilities may be a bit tired. For the same cost there could be newer options. But given all the good sides and for a small-scale hotel as it is, we were fine with that. It was a great getaway from the city.

Great Onsen facilities - very private ( both in the room and in the hotel grounds. The hotel is so close to the railway so exploring even on trains and buses was easy and rewarding.

- Dorris (10/5): - Staff are very helpful and friendly. In-room bath is big and excellent with the view of Sagami Bay. Outdoor baths are quiet. They may be occupied by other guests during popular times. This is not a big issue since each room is equipped with its own bath. Watch out for insects and even centipedes inside guest rooms.

- Grace (10/5): - Isaribi felt like real Japan. It was very Japanese, from the way the rooms and the lobby were decorated, to how the staff was dressed, to the Japanese cuisine. The fact that our room had its own private onsen was amazing, convenient and beautiful. And the much larger onsens that could be reserved on the first floor were incredibly beautiful. My whole family LOVED this property, and the innkeeper/manager was very kind and helpful.
- Kyle (10/5): - Hotel Isaribi is our favorite stay of the entire trip. We neglected to review our emails, which led to a late arrival. Staff were VERY friendly, professional, and accommodating, serving dinner after hours in our room. We enjoyed our private onsen tub in our room, as well as the two other public yet private onsens on the property. Beautiful area, clean/quiet/accommodating. The meals provided were phenomenal. They also provided transportation back and forth between the hotel and the nearby train station. We HIGHLY recommend.

- Verified traveler (10/5): 癒しの時間が過ごせます - 接客、お部屋（源泉かけ流し温泉風呂付き）、食事、貸切温泉風呂、すべてにおいて大満足でした。ただ建物の古さはかなりのもの。階段や廊下を歩くときはギシギシ音がします。お部屋はリニューアルされていて清潔でとても快適でした。残念な点がひとつ、お風呂場（貸切風呂、部屋のお風呂とも）のシャワーの水圧が弱く、髪を洗うのに時間がかかりました。チェックアウトが12時なのでゆっくりできました。

I appreciated that the ryokan knew I couldn’t speak Japanese and assigned a staff who could speak some English to serve dinner, and the staff was most attentive to my needs. I absolutely love the Ise lobster sashimi of the dinner course.

It was really cool to have a private onsen in your room to enjoy whenever you wanted to relax. We were able to watch the skies change as the sunrise/sunset from our onsen and that was so fun. Their public outdoor and indoor onsen were beautiful, and from 21:00-1100 those onsen can be used privately. It was such a great and memorable experience. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and romantic time.

Service: They would go above and beyond for you, and always with a smile. Cleanliness: AAA class, like most of Japan. Room: HUGE bed with an amazing private Onsen and an outdoor shower. Bed: HUGE! WIFI: Fast! Food: We took the dinner and breakfast, since there isn't much to eat around the place. It was a wonderful experience (with a lot of fish, so be prepared). And above all, they went the extra mile for my Vegan wife.

- Takashi (10/5): Hidden gem - Atmosphere is great. A quaint location, smaller in size but with a focused higher level of service. Many rooms contained onsens which made the experience very private. Food was phenomenal. Prices are a little high but would definitely go again. Great get away.
