• Frans en Fré (6/5): 1 keer maar nooit weer - eigenlijk niks dat er niet op de site staat dat je heel steile, smalle wenteltrapoen op moet, dat je buiten je ontbijt krijgt op een klein rond bistrotafeltje, het stelde echt niks voor. Verder voelde het beddengoed heel klam aan, denk doordat er een jacuzzi aan het voeteneind van t bed staat.. Voor ons nooit meer hier .

• Robinson (8/5): - Brilliant location very close to harbour front with amazing roof terrace for panoramic views. The studio is quirky and fun with everything we needed supplied. High ceilings, airy and spacious. Breakfast at little tables on the street below was excellent. A double sofa bed would have been good, as we were two couples and one couple had to sleep apart on mezzanine as sofabed downstairs was too small.

Il n'était pas indiqué non plus que les appartements sont difficilement accessibles, des escaliers très escarpés et avec la valise c'est vraiment pas pratique....

• Michael (7/5): Charming hotel, but does not warrant the gushing 10/10 reviews - Hosts were extremely accommodating, great location Bathtub had no water pressure and took ages to fill up, shower was leaky, extremely noisy in the morning. It’s an old building and it shows.

We repeatedly asked about breakfast time and were finally told we could have it half an hour early but when we arrived at the cafeteria,, breakfast was not at all ready. After I described the situation in a message, there's been no answer or refund of breakfast for over 4 days now.- a pretty dismissive treatment and/or poor communication, also internally. Be ready for a nasty surprise in the bathroom: the shower in our room was extremely poky - it's pretty hard to move inside it and there's a bath which looked like somebody had just used it. Maybe it had been washed, maybe it is just so worn out. Not very welcoming to hop into it, anyway. Also, if the place stinks with mold, one can use perfume...

• Lucy (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Too many stairs and the room wasn’t suitable for young children as the stairs were dangerous The stairs was scary and the shower and bath was awful. It was also cold
• Horst (5/5): - Das positive ist hier die Lage mitten ein der Altstadt. Die Einrichtung ist originell, aber in die Jahre gekommen. Der Empfang war kurz angebunden. Im Gegensatz zu den anderen Unterkünften auf Kreta, wo wir immer zwei Flaschen Wasser und sogar eine Flasche Wein vorfanden, gab es hier nur den Hinweis, dass das Leitungswasser aus den Bergen komme und trinkbar sei. Allerdings war der Wasserhahn in der "Küche" nicht befestigt, um in zu benutzen brauchte man zwei Hände und das Spülbecken zerbröselt. Das Frühstück wurde wohl schon Stunden vorher zubereitet, das Spiegelei und der Speck waren kalt, der Kaffee warmgehalten. Lecker war der frisch gepresste Orangensaft, das kleine Brot mit Tomatensugo und Schafskäse und der griechische Joghurt mit Honig. In der direkten Nachbarschaft gab es viele, sehr laute anhaltende Bautätigkeiten, angefangen wurde um 08.00 h.

L'idromassaggio non funzionava. Scomodissima la scala per arrivare: stretta e scomodo se si hanno le valigie. Indicazioni molto molto approssimative fornite sul parcheggio da parte del personale. Bagno piccolo. Letto un po' vecchio e non comodissimo.
• Werner (9/5): - Mitten in der Altstadt, tolle Atmosphäre. Sehr gutes Frühstück und liebevolles und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Anreise mit dem Auto will gut überlegt sein. "Parkplätze vorhanden" bezieht sich auf die wenigen freien Parkplätze in der Umgebung. Für uns neu, dass bis März sämtliche Renovierungsarbeiten lärmintensiv ausgeführt werden.

• Jörg (9/5): Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt sehr zu empfehlen. - Top Lage mitten in der Altstadt von Chania. Originell eingerichtetes Zimmer. Sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig in kleiner Seitenstraße gelegen. Enge Wendeltreppe nach oben zum Zimmer. Hat uns nicht gestört. Dusche etwas klein und eng, hat uns aber auch nicht wirklich gestört. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren eine Nacht dort, wären aber auch noch ein/zwei Nächte geblieben. Parkplätze unweit der Unterkunft. Gutes Frühstück.

• Sina (10/5): Es war wunderschön! - Die Unterkunft war ausgezeichnet. Vor allem die Lage war toll, denn man ist mitten in der Altstadt in einer wunderschönen ruhigen Seitengasse. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Zudem ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals äußerst nennenswert! Die Damen die für das Frühstück und die Sauberkeit der Zimmer zuständig waren waren so freundlich und lieb. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Wir würden direkt wieder buchen. -

• Tanja (10/5): Toller Griechischer Flair - Man kann in dieser unterkunft sehr gut in ein wunderbares griechisches Falir eintauchen und das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker. Als wir früher zu Ausflügen mussten, war das freundliche Personal auch bereit uns ein kleines Frühstück herzurichten am Vortag. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen! Es ist leider etwas hellhörig.

Les conditions d'accueil étaient moyennes car nous n'avons jamais eu de réponse aux mails envoyés avant notre arrivée et ne savions pas comment prévenir le personnel pour récupérer les clefs alors que Expedia indiquait qu'on devait prévenir par mail en amont (ce que nous avons fait sans réponse). Nous avons moins aimé l'odeur de la chambre n°1, ainsi que les solutions de parking.

• Daniel (6/5): Great until the charm wears off. - Charming feel, perfect location. A quiet street only seconds away from the bustle of Old Town Chania. Has a nice atmosphere from the balcony. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The charm wears off pretty quickly. Firstly, during the work day it is almost impossible to get a park close by, and was a nightmare to drive to the location to begin with, as there were road works blocking the normal route. Should not be advertised as accomodation with parking. The room was quite cramped, especially with luggage. Access was quite slow and difficult up the narrow stairway. We also had problems being bitten by mosquitoes or bed bugs or something.

It is extremely unique with beautiful decor, unique fixtures, and a wonderful staff. We stayed on the top floor and had two balconies and a rooftop terrace. Each provided a unique and beautiful view of old Chania. I looked forward to the delicious and varied breakfast every day that was made with such care. If I didn’t have a life to go back to and had all the money in the world to stay, I would have!

• Anna (10/5): Good stay at a good price - Good location in the heart of the old town. Not much of a view from the room but that does not matter to us. We missed the detail that you are not allowed to drive into the old town so was a little bit difficult at first but we managed to find a parking spot only a few minutes away. Perfect hotel for one or two nights. I wouldn’t want to spend more time than that in Chania. The lights in the room. The roof lamp was too bright (felt like hospital) but still difficult to see. A little cramped but quite funny with a jacuzzi next to the bed ;) the bathroom was a bit small with difficulty to reach the toilet. The markers for hot and cold water are mixed so the blue is on the left with hot water and red is on the right with cold water

Extremely well positioned, easy free parking close by, right in the middle of the old city. Very steep stairs to get to the room (3rd floor), not suitable for walking impaired, not even with a cane, I would not recommend for small children either, the stairs are that steep. But otherwise what a room! Lovely host, breakfast was wonderful! Truly enjoyed our stay.

• Giorgos (8/5): A night in Chania - The roof terrace was impressive with a stunning view on the port. One single bed just next double both upstairs. No lift and very narrow staircase from ground to third floor.
• Fiers (5/5): It was quit pricy for the room we got, but it's located in the city center. - I liked the authenticity of the room but it was very outdated. It has a lot of potential could use some updates. It was in the city center of old Chania! It was very smelly when we arrived. The bathtub wasn't as clean/modern it looked in the pictures. It was very old and the paint was chipping. Also the bathroom wasn't very clean + not flushing well. If my partner went to the bathroom I had to wait before I could go because of the flushing problem.

• Robert (9/5): Excellent location with a good breakfast. - This is a room with a character. Top floor, wooden beams, spiral staircase, loft, artwork, private roof garden - all blends up perfectly. The location is exceptional, right in the middle of the old city. Very quiet. The breakfast is very good, too. The panoramic view from the rooftop alone is worth the money. No parking. We got lucky, but don't build on it. Being on the third floor (fourth in the US terms) and reachable by a very narrow and steep spiral staircase, it is practically impossible to get to for an unfit person with an average size suitcase. Keep in mind when booking and ask for a lower floor accommodation. The air conditioner is below the loft where the beds are. The cool air stays at the bottom and doesn't reach the beds. Pretty hot to sleep in July.

Breakfast in the street was wonderful and the food was tasty, interesting and varied every day. Balcony looking over one of the prettiest laneways in Chania. Very friendly staff

• Carissa (9/5): Perfect Location/beautiful room - The location of this spot is incredible! One of the prettiest alleys in all of old town Chania. I enjoyed watching the tourists walk by from my balcony and react to the flowers and general beauty. The decor of this room is so creative. I could live in this suite. The hot water is HOT and that bathtub was the absolute best. The only not positive thing I can say about this place is that the mattress was quite bad. I was alone so I found a part of the mattress that avoided the hard metal, but had I been sharing, somebody would have ended up feeling like they had metal jabbing into their back. I would still stay here again regardless for the excellent location and beautiful room.

• Dominika (9/5): Our stay was fantastic! - We stayed in a very unique studio with two balconies and our private rooftop terrace with a 360 view over Chania, the port, and the sea! We couldn't ask for more; it was just perfect :) The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! The only thing that could be improved was the facilities in the bathroom and the hot tub. We used it a couple of times, and it was very relaxing and comfy, but a bit old

• Harman (10/5): A Genuine Cretan Gem in Chania...don't miss it! - We have been choosing this particular venue on the occasional times we come to Chania for 10 years now. The staff are always welcoming and pay great attention to detail. Everything is very traditionally Cretan, from the accommodation to the breakfast... we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ALL!

• Zachary (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location in centre of old town but just off the busier streets. Loved the quirky decor and the jacuzzi style bathtub in the room (that was the deciding factor for my booking after a week hiking across Crete!). Complimentary raki, more than I could get through on my own 😅. Tea and coffee and some sweets in the room and a magnificent large breakfast, and still one of the cheapest available rooms! I'll definitely be recommending this place (I already have 😁) Apologies if I had any neighbours. I couldn't work out a quiet way to open and close my door 😅
