robertazC1372YQ (10/5): A pleasant hotel in a strategic location - A fabulous location on the sea in Kissamos on a blue sea, tactical site to reach by car all most beautiful and unforgettable beaches of the area on the west side of the island, such as Falasarna, Elafonissi and Balos (on a ship trip). Clean room and shared area, quiet atmosphere and very very kind personnel at your disposal for helping you find the best solution to your needs. Varied and healthy breakfast (we didn’t have the chance to try other meals) on the beach. Quite close to restaurants and tavernas on the sea and to the village centre. On the other side not far from Chania, a smart, living and young city, lovable with its small streets and all interesting attractions and little shops on the port.

Beach a short walk away (it may be pebbly in from on hotel , just walk along a bit and it is sandy). Excellent pool and pool furniture. The food was fantastic and the evening setting with oceans views was stunning. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and the food was good quality with a great variety of food for breakfast. I had an evening meal there nicely presented and food was good quality. The hotel is facing onto the beach and I swam there but you would need swimming shoes as the beach is very stoney I would stay there again.
Wayne (8/5): - The property itself is nice, clean and well managed. It is however located at the very edge of town which requires a 15 minute walk into an area where there are dining options. The town itself seems to be in decline which is no fault whatsoever of the property.

Siisti ja rauhallinen hotelli, välittömästi meren rannalla, viihtyisä uima-allasalue, ihana henkilökunta, loistava aamiainen ja ruoka hotellissa muutenkin todella hyvää. Meillä oli perhehuone, jossa kaksi parveketta ja tilavat huoneet.
Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic hotel in a great location - Beautiful hotel set in a stunning location on the beach. Check in and check out were both very easy - all staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. Rooms were clean and a good size (we had the standard front sea view) - a very big bed and a sofa bed for our daughter. Swimming pool was cleaned daily and was perfect. Restaurant - breakfast, lunch and dinner were all superb with a lovely view. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, drink and service received. Quiet and peaceful especially in the evenings - was nice to sit on the balcony and stargaze and look/listen to the bats. Staff gave us information on where to go and booked excursions - all very helpful. Great location, short walk to strip of restaurants and bars. Would totally recommend and plan on visiting again. If we had to find any negative from our stay, it would be that there was no coffee machine in the room (but again that’s only if I had to give a negative as absolutely loved our stay).
Bes1998 (10/5): Even better on a return visit - I had good memories from a previous stay 7 years ago and wasn’t disappointed this time. It is a small family run hotel. There is a lovely sheltered swimming pool and it is also on the beach. I would recommend sand shoes to swim in the sea as there are often pebbles and small boulders at the water’s edge, though one is soon back on sand. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great and in a fabulous dining room/terrace overlooking the bay. The restaurant was variable in the evening, we ate there twice and the second time was a bit disappointing, I hope to stay here again in the future.
Hans-Jürgen (10/5): Tolle Lage, aber ungemütliche Zimmer - Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage direkt am Meer. Die gesamte Anlage macht einen gepflegten Eindruck. Die Zimmer selbst haben uns nicht überzeugt, sie sind in die Jahre gekommen und wirken nicht sehr gemütlich. Wenn man sie moderner gestalten würde, wäre das Hotel wirklich super und hätte vier Sterne verdient.
mohinurr926 (10/5): Wonderful Sunny Bay Hotel - This is our last day and we're still at the hotel as our flight is in the evening. Even though we were supposed to check out at 11.00 they let us stay extra couple of hours because of our evening flight. We was told we can stay as long as we want. Use every the hotel facilities on offer. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Start the day sitting in the balcony watching the sun come up. The food is quality over quantity. 95% of the food is freshly served. Even though we are Muslims, they looked after us very well. Catered for us the way we wanted our food. The hotel staff whom are so nice and friendly and will serve you with an smile on their faces all of the time. The hotel itself is very clean and well looked after. If we come to Crete again, Definitely will consider this hotel again. Don't take my word for it, do your own research.

jangh_13 (10/5): 3 stars hotel with 5 stars standard! - This hotel has a completely unique architecture and atmosphere. Pleasantly calm and stress-free. Absolutely everyone, from the hotel owners to the caretaker, did their best to ensure that we enjoyed the two weeks we spent there. All areas of the hotel are characterized by very good daily cleaning. We had booked a room with breakfast. This consisted of a wide selection of hot and cold dishes as well as fresh fruit. The quality of the food meant that we chose to eat most of the lunches and four dinners at the hotel. We will return in 2025

johancbenitez (10/5): Amazing - Sunny Bay hotel offers a premium five star experience. The location, baloney, room, and bed are excellent. The staff offers superior service and a smile every time we meet. It's family driven and because it's small and cosy, you feel a mutually respect for the surroundings. The breakfast is exceptionally good, and offers what you would like to see in a five star Scandinavian hotel. All in all is the hotel and it's beach is a soul provider. Kissamos is a smal town that offers a wide range of different restaurants. All in all we never experienced one bad meal in our stay. We rented an ATV and went sightseeing in the mountains and down to a beautiful beach. To sum up this experience; it was satisfying, relaxing, and just what we needed. Will we go back? Michela (8/5): - Abbiamo soggiornato per due settimane a Sunny Bay e abbiamo trovato grande pulizia e cortesia del personale. La struttura è rinnovata, molto bella la piscina, il ristorante in riva al mare, la spiaggia con lettini e ombrelloni molto comoda, parcheggio proprio di fianco alla struttura, teli mare forniti dall’hotel. Posizione tranquilla, poca gente sulla spiaggia e silenzio sia di giorno che di sera (a parte il festival di fianco allo stadio). Le camere hanno un arredamento un po’ vecchiotto ma sono molto pulite. Il bagno in particolare avrebbe bisogno di un restyling. Cambio asciugamani giornaliero e lenzuola ogni 2 giorni. Personale delle pulizie molto disponibile e attento, personale di sala cortese, in particolare Eva, Ina e Florian sono stati davvero preziosi. Un particolare saluto a Lucy, la cagnolina della struttura che mi ha fatto sentire meno la mancanza dei miei pelosi a casa. Passiamo agli aspetti negativi: il menù dovrebbe essere un po’ più vario, è capitato più volte di non sapere cosa scegliere o che mancasse qualche ingrediente. Purtroppo a Creta ci sono tanti randagi (cani e gatti) e non mi è piaciuto l’atteggiamento della proprietà riguardo a questi cani (sopratutto), che venivano allontanati in malo modo. Io su questo tema sono piuttosto sensibile e avrei preferito una gestione diversa. Struttura molto consigliata.

The room was cleaned every day with lovely fresh towels every day. It is in walking distance of the bus station, buses run every hour and are very reliable. They have a restaurant on site with a beautiful view of the sea with their own sunbeds. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Nina (6/5): Yö Kissamoksessa - Ihan kelpo hotelli meren rannalla. Kävelymatkan päässä palveluita, mutta ei siis aivan hotellin välittömässä läheisyydessä. Aamupala oli hyvä ja palvelu toimi. Aamulla koirat ulvoi kanojen kanssa kilpaa. Alue ja hotelli vaikutti hyvin eläinystävälliseltä. Kissamos on alueena hieman kolkko, mutta kokemisen arvoinen.

mauro (8/5): - Hotel un po’ fuori dal paese di Kissamos ma tranquillo con una discreta spiaggia attrezzata e privata .stanza spaziosa e luminosa con vista su spiaggia con mobili datati bagno purtroppo con vasca obsoleta e con scarsi generi di conforto ma ottimo sapone . Stanza dotata di un bel terrazzo dotata di stendino. Buffet a colazione buono presentato in modo ordinato e rifornito in continuazione , anche il locale : pulito ordinato e luminoso ,tavolini puliti con solerzia appena i commensali lasciavano il locale. Piscina ampia e confortevole.

Ekaterina (8/5): Quiet beachfront location in Kissamos - Good quiet location right on the beach and a short walk away from all the restaurants in Kissamos. Breakfast and dinner, not too many options but all delicious. Excellent staff friendly staff The only negative is that our room was a little dated/basic and it can do with a renovation, at least to update the bed. The walls are also not that well soundproofed, so your stay might depend on your neighbours.

Verified traveler (10/5): A lovely stay at a family-run hotel - Great family-run hotel. Quiet area, located about a 10-minute walk from the coastal restaurants and centre of Kissamos. Hotel food very good quality, particularly enjoyed our breakfasts looking out over the sea every morning. Everything you could need in a little hotel: good location to get to Balos, Elafonisi and Falasarna by car or organized excursion, beautiful pool, balcony, comfortable large room with AC, private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, mini mart with essentials including water and suncream! Lots of space to leave the hire car too. Staff very warm and made us feel at home.

Mention spéciale pour le monsieur de l'accueil qui doit faire partie du management car acceuil et prise en charge excellents. Situation calme et face a la mer . nous avions 2 chambres une qui étaient refaite et fort agréable. L'autre trop viellote et qui mériterait un gros rafraîchissement. Expérience dans l'ensemble tres positive

helene (8/5): - Pour ceux qui aiment le calme sans pour autant être loin de tout, cet hôtel est un bon compromis. Le personnel est serviable et souriant tout en restant professionnel. L'hôtel est bien entretenu dans son ensemble. Il offre un accès à la plage et possède une piscine des plus appréciable. En revanche, le petit déjeuner sucré était bien moins fourni que le salé et légèrement moins qualitatif. Un grille-pain serait le bienvenu et peut-être qu'ouvrir le petit-déjeuner un peu plus tôt (en ce moment 8h-10h) serait plus pratique pour les excursions, mais celui-ci reste correct. La chambre était plutôt spacieuse avec baignoire et un balcon agréable avec vue partielle sur la piscine et la mer. Les lits sont confortables. L'hôtel possède un très bon rapport qualité-prix, nous y avons passé un excellent séjour et le recommandons vivement.

Franck (10/5): 4 Jours de Rêve - Hôtel avec rapport qualité prix imbattable, petit déjeuner avec vue sur la mer, chambre spacieuses, piscine et finition soignée, personnel toujours présent. Voiture nécessaire pour aller aux plus belles plages de l’île des environs (Balos, Elafonissi) et à une demi heure de la joli ville de Chania. Bref un belle endroit pour explorer l'ouest de l’île.

Nikita (8/5): Quite place - Nice quite hotel. A little old but it’s very normal for this small town. Private beach. Not loud. Very friendly staff. They explained everything me around the place. It’s about 10 Minutes to walk to the promenade where you can find restaurants to have dinner. Breakfast is a little poor.

Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel in peaceful area - Nice and clean hotel in the beach (which is pretty rocky like in many places in Crete). Quite big rooms, clean and big pool (also one for children) and good breakfast. Nothing to blow your mind, but good price-quality-ratio overall. We could easily come back. There was an athletics field (running tracks) with free entry next to the hotel, if you want to do some exercising there. We also found a big supermarket from the village of Kissamos and tasty restaurants, too.

Isabelle (10/5): Calme et vue mer - Nous avons adoré le calme et la quiétude de cet hotel pour commencer notre séjour en Crète. La chambre était hyper propre avec vue sur la baie et le bruit des vagues. Piscine très belle et propre. Les repas en demi-pension hyper copieux et de très bonne qualité ( pas de buffet à cause du covid mais service à table le soir et buffet au petit déjeuner avec le personnel de l'hotel qui remplit les assiettes). Personnel très amical. Très bon emplacement pour Balos et Elafonisi. Jolie rando facile dans les gorges de Sirikari pour voir les vautours .

Kiriakos (10/5): - It is a very nice and clean hotel close to the beach and football field with running track (free entrance). I visited the hotel in August 2020 during covid-19 pandemy, I felt safe as they kept the health regulations. Staff was wearing masks and gloves, they served breakfast behind a plexiglass and they ensured safe distancing.

Joel (10/5): Great value in Kissamos! - We had a great stay at Sunny Bay! The view from our room was spectacular as we could see the entire Kissamos bay. Beach access was easy and the pool was clean and refreshing. We loved the breakfast provided and they did an excellent job of serving the food taking cleanliness standards into account during COVID-19. We ordered food and drinks from the bar using our phones and it came out timely and was very delicious. Highly recommend.
