• Verena (9/5): - Ein Dank an den Gastgeber, der sehr bemüht war und uns gute Tipps gegeben hat. Er hat auch mit uns gefrühstückt und wir hatten ein nettes Gespräch. Das Frühstück war einfach, aber ausreichend und schön angerichtet. Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön. Der Garten und der Pool wurden gepflegt. Man hat sein eigenes Zimmer mit Bad, teilt sich dann die gut ausgestattete Küche und und dem Gemeinschaftsbereich mit mehreren Sitzmöglichkeiten mit anderen Gästen. Wissenswert ist das die Zimmer aktuell keinen Klimaanlage haben, jedoch einen sehr starken Ventilator. Die Unterkunft ist eine Gehminuten vom öffentlichen Strand entfernt, an dem man je nach Wasserstand auch abkühlen kann. Schnorcheln ist empfehlenswert. Der Ort an sich ist sehr ruhig, wir haben uns hauptsächlich am Strand aufgehalten, (dort gibt es einige Straßenhunde, welche je nach Rudel mal mehr oder weniger aufdringlich waren) und sind auch den sehr schönen Küstenwanderweg entlang nach La Cambuse gegangen. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort bevor wir zum Flughafen mussten, welcher in ca. 15min zu erreichen ist.

• Theodor (8/5): Oáza pravého tropického ráje pro všechny ty, co nemusí mít pětihvězdičkový hotel - Snídaně jednoduchá ale s ohledem na klima dostatečná - tedy dostatek ovoce. Celý objekt má svůj genius loci, bude naprosto vyhovovat aktivnější a sportovní klientele - se zapůjčeným autem se nechá odsud prozkoumat celý ostrov. Navíc je umístěn v oáze tropického prostředí s úžasným pobřežím, kde je sice omezeno koupání (mělká voda), které je vynahrazeno krásnou neporušenou původní přírodní scenérií s původními místními milými obyvateli. Mladý a velice příjemný majitel Luic se snaží vyplnit každé Vaše přání. Já a můj syn jsme se zde cítili naprosto úžasně !!!!! a při event. naší příští návštěvě se sem moc rádi vrátíme. Velké plus - blízkost letiště a přesto naprostý klid Těžko něco najít, možná vybavit pokoj klimatizací, ale i bez ní se nám tady spalo na příjemných postelích dobře

• Gcobisa (8/5): A hidden gem, well worth the visit - Beautiful home close to a beautiful beach. Lisbet is lovely and Loic is amazing. Nothing was too much to ask - Loic fixed my suitcase TWICE when one of the wheels broke off - and breakfast was fantastic. Dinner was great too and excellent value for money. Tip - be sure to ask Loic the story behind the name Tibambari P.S. Thanks for helping us end our stay in the island on a high.
• marie helene (8/5): Excellent séjour nous recommandons cet établissement. - Nous avons aimé : les espaces, Le parc magnifiquement arboré et entretenu, La piscine grande et très propre, Le petit déjeuner et des fruits frais proposés La cuisine utilisable et l espace terrasse. La gentillesse d Isabeth, La présence de Loic aux 3 premiers petits déjeuners . Pourrait être améliorés: Peu de commerce à proximité, il pourrait être proposé des produits de premières nécessités ( boissons fraîches, cafés, petits gâteaux, pâtes. ... Le petit déjeuner un peu tardif ( huit heures et demie) il pourrait être avancé à la demande ou disponible en autonomie à la cuisine. L l'isolement géographique peut géner certains ( mais pas nous). Un véhicule et un chauffeur sont indispensables pour visiter la région. À cet effet, il peut être proposé des excursions ( payantes ) pour ceux qui seraient stressés par la conduite à gauche ( et nous l avons été !)

• Arnaud (9/5): Très bon point de chute hors des zones touristiques pour visiter le sud-est de Maurice! - L’emplacement juste à côté de la plage de Bouchon et le cadre extérieur, les hôtes vraiment serviables et très sympathiques (Loïc nous a fait une grosse faveur à notre arrivée depuis l’aéroport et a pris avec nous le petit-déjeuner le samedi, c’était très agréable de discuter avec lui!) et le petit-déjeuner avec plein de fruits frais excellents ! Pas du tout d’eau chaude à la douche (elle était assez fraîche, heureusement que c’est l’été!) et le ventilateur un peu bruyant pour dormir…

• Elke (9/5): Rundum zufrieden - Das Frühstück war hervorragend, jeden Morgen gab es ein Obstteller mit frischen Früchten und vieles mehr im wunderschön angelegtem Garten. Loic saß immer mit uns am Frühstückstisch und gab uns tolle Tipps. Der Flughafen ist nur 15 Minuten entfernt, trotzdem gibt es keinen Fluglärm. Am Sonntag konnte man frischen Fisch am Strand Imbiss essen.

• Silvia (5/5): - Schöner Garten Ruhige Lage Recht schöne natürliche Umgebung Auf dem Balkon fehlten zum Wohlfühlen eine Sitzecke und ein Tisch Genauso auf dem großen Balkon. In unserem Zimmer standen 4 Betten, dafür kein Tisch und Stuhl, wäre ein Bett zum Sofa gestaltet mit kleinem Tisch wäre es auch noch O. K gewesen. Uns fehlten im Garten Sitzecken und Sonnenliegen bei dem Pool. Wir fanden es schade das der Pool nicht gut gepflegt wurde. Es roch leicht muffig, dann lag 3 Tage ein Schlauch darin so das der Pool nicht genutzt werden konnte. Auch wenn das Frühstück traditionell sein sollte, war Baguette und Marmelade ein bisschen wenig da bringt Apfel , Melone, Banane und eine halbe Mango auch nichts mehr

• Julie Farrell (10/5): Fantastic hosts wonderful venue - Fantastic venue Loic and Lisbeth are wonderful and very accommodating hosts. It is a very quiet and serene place to stay with fantastic gardens and pool and the beach is in walking distance. Breakfast with Loic every morning is lovely and the included breakfast is refreshing and satisfying. Very close to the airport 5 mins away. The guesthouse is located down a small laneway off the La Bouchon beach road set at the back. Be mindful of lots of dogs wandering near the beach if they are not your thing. Best to have a hire car or transport options as it is away from the main areas if you plan on sightseeing further away.
• Dominik (9/5): Będzie klimatyzacja, będzie lux - - Lokalizacja (cisza i spokój z dala od wszystkiego) - Śniadania z gospodarzem, od którego można było dowiedzieć się wiele ciekawych i przydatnych rzeczy dotyczących wyjazdu. - Dobrze zaopatrzona kuchnia, w której można było przyrządzać posiłki. - Brak klimatyzacji, psuł całą otoczkę tego miejsca. - Oświetlenie w pokoju mogłoby być mocniejsze. - Śniadanie mogłoby być z godzinę szybciej.
• Beate (10/5): - Sehr freundlicher Empfang und ein grosses Zimmer, gute Matratzen, grosses Bad, gut eingerichtete Gemeinschaftskueche mit Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher, Herd und kleine Terrasse zum Essen. Ein ganz tolles Fruehstueck mit einem großen Obstteller, Baguettes, und verschiedene Marmeladen, Erdnuss creme, Nutella... Wir haben es genossen, dass unser Gastgeber Luiz beim Frühstück dabei war und uns mit guten Tipps für den Tag versorgt hat. Der Garten ist ein kleines Paradies, sehr gepflegt!! Schoen auch, dass wir unser Mietauto sicher auf dem Gelände parken konnten und es nur wenige Meter zum Meer sind. Es war recht heiß Ende November und der Ventilator im Zimmer hat nur wenig gekühlt, aber Luiz sagte, dass bald eine Klimaanlage in die Zimmer kommt. Das wird dann noch das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. Wir haben uns in der Woche daran gewöhnt. Das WLAN in den Zimmern ist etwas schwach, will man stabileres WLAN haben, muss man ins Wohnzimmer oder in die Küche, war aber ok. Tibambari war etwas schwer zu finden, wir mussten mehrmals nachfragen, weil auch Google Maps den Ort nicht kannte, vielleicht waere vorne am Ende der Strasse ein Schild ganz nützlich.
• Mirjam (7/5): - Nähe zum Flughafen, für ein bis 2 Tage vor de Abreise gut, länger nicht, da keine Zimmerreinigung oder Abfallentsorgung in 6 Tagen erfolgte. Frühstück in schönem Garten war gut, allerdings erst ab 8.30. Gastgeber Loïc nett, frühstücken mit den Gästen zusammen. Es gibt nichts in der näheren Umgebung. Nicht ganz leicht zu finden, man braucht unbedingt einen Mietwagen. Wassertemperatur im Bad nur ganz kalt oder kochend heiss, nicht regulierbar.
• Marie-anne (8/5): - Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner, le contact chaleureux avec Loïc et Lisbeth. Loic est très à l'écoute et très accueillant. Pas de télévision, pas de micro-onde, bruit des chiens errants, manque de place pour pouvoir se stationner ( gênant si on veut partir le 1er : une voiture peut nous bloquer).

• Gauri (8/5): Quite, quaint and warm - The hosts were very friendly and warm and make up for the few short comings of the place. The house is nicely done and clean (housekeeping happens everyday). The beach is just a minute away. The WiFi was non existent and emtel did not work there, the bathroom door didn't close properly. And while the beach is close by the part where u can go swimming is a bit away, not too far though. The place is secluded, and getting here can be difficult if you don't have your own transport. There are hardly any restaurants around (the property has a kitchen you can use) and the place is dead after sunset. So if you are not looking for a slow n quiet time, this is not the place for you. Breakfast was included in the stay but it was only tea/ coffee, bread, jam and fruits.
• Jörg (10/5): - Loic ist einfach der Beste Gastgeber auf ganz Mauritius!!! Obwohl er erst 19 Jahre alt ist,hat er wirklich alles im Griff!Einfach nur Klasse. Haben selten einen so kompetenten und hilfsbereiten Gastgeber erlebt. Unterkunft ist ca.15 min. vom Flughafen entfernt. Sehr gutes Frühstück,sehr bequeme Betten.Gemütliche Atmosphäre beim Frühstück,erst ab 8:30 Uhr,könnte früher sein.Garten sehr schön angelegt. Eine glatte 10er Bewertung!!!

Die Gemeinschaftskuche haben wir gut genutzt. In der Gemeinschaftsküche könnte es sauberer sein. In den Schubladen wo Besteck und Geschirr drin ist, schimmelt es aufgrund der Feuchtigkeit.

• Anke (9/5): Nice little hotel close to beach and airport - Nice villa just by the beach, the owners were nice and very helpful, arrested taxis or trips for us. Pool was great to refresh and the garden a nice paradise. Breakfast was break and marmalade plus fresh fruit, coffee tea and fresh juice which was perfect off me (my husband missed eggs and yogurt which he got and prepared in the well equipped common kitchen). Still we had a good time, bonus was that it was close to the airport yet super calm. Thanks for everything! I mentions it has no A/C only fans, which is usually okay but since it was extra hot the rooms were too not with even two fans on full speed. Aircon should be added next week and would be a big extra point! Also the village is a bit remote without a car, we found only one open food shop/little restaurant open.

Sitting with the other guests and our hosts at breakfast each morning discussing what we had done the day before, our plans for the day ahead and good things to do and see whilst on the island.

• Ewa (8/5): In Tibambari I had a wonderful, peaceful time. - Tibambari is a perfect place for people who want to rest from city noise. The owners are great people. Everyday breakfasts together make you feel there like at home.
• Verena (8/5): A nice end to my stay on Mauritius, close to the ocean with an interesting coastline and snorkeling - Kind and helpful host who also spontaneously helped organized a take-out dinner when everything else was closed due to a national holiday/election. Eating breakfast together with all the other guests was nice and made the stay more personal. The kitchen for the guests allows for preparing meals, getting filtered drinking water and storing food in the fridge. The dogs barking at night woke me up. Otherwise, it would be a calm and quiet area. Without a car, it is hard to get there and back, plus there is no store with food in the area (only kiosks with snacks).
• Daiga (10/5): It was an excellent holiday - It was an excellent holiday. The host's attitude and the French breakfast with freshly squeezed healthy juices and fruits made every breakfast enjoyable. Everything was tidy and well kept around. The place is cozy. The conversations with Eric and other visitors added to the atmosphere and put a good mood to each day. Eric and his family treated us like old friends even though we were there for the first time. They were very considerate and kind. I highly recommend using this place for your rest. N/A
• Pavel (9/5): One of the best accomodation and personal approach I have experienced when traveling so far! - Erik and his family, as well as other staff, very much polite, supportive and flexible, providing all needed information and advice, airport transport etc. They take care of much affairs and work personally. Hotel surrounded by really very beautiful garden, very short distance to the beach. Very quiet location. You may hear birds as well as ocean sound. Very clean swimming pool. Generous and very clean shared areas (outside seating, terraces, lobby, kitchen). All rooms with balcony and enough privacy. Beds are perfect. Laundry fast. Breakfast with fresh coffee, bread, juices and fruits, homemade marmelades, at common seating in the garden, served right by Erik (and at his presence too), are simple, but very delicious. You may spend this time in fun and very interesting and inspirational talking to each other, while eating. Fantastic relaxing in the garden, at the swimming pool, as well as at the common seating areas throughout the day, if you just do not go out. Wi-Fi could be more stable and cover all house area.

Nice touch, that the owner, Eric, had breakfast together with us. The common kitchen was well equipped for making your own food. The garden is beautiful and a nice pool The internet could be improved to reach the room or the garden

• Cecile (10/5): A spacious place in a beautiful area, owned by a very welcoming host. - Great location away from the typical touristic spots, yet in beautiful environment. The owner is very friendly and spends time with his guests, sharing a breakfast of delicious fresh juices, beautifully presented local fruit, fragrant coffee , bread and marmalade.
• Tomas (10/5): Simply wonderful, feeling like home. - Great location almost at the beach. Very nice looking building in a beautiful garden, patio where we had breakfasts, pool we didn’t really use but it would surely come handy in warmer weather. Everything super clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Simple yet delicious breakfasts with fresh fruit and very welcoming host, Eric, who shared lots of tips what to visit and stories from his travels and life. We felt like home there :) Please improve the wifi on the first floor – the staircase got really crowded in the evenings 😅
• Ngaire (8/5): A great place to stay if looking to relax and chill out. - Lovely facilities and a great place to stay albeit that Bouchon itself is very quiet. Limited options for dining out.
• Sto (8/5): Very good - The garden is amazing and full of variety of trees, palms, flowers and cactuses., The owner is very nice and good person, smiley and helpful. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view from the terrace. Close to the airport. Feels like at home. The house is just 5min to the beach (it is a grass and rock beach). The pool is nice. The hot water was unstable. The house is far from the town, restaurants or supermarket. You need a car to move around and to explore. There's no a/c in the room.
• Duncan (9/5): Hidden oasis in a local Mauritian town, quick drive to the airport but feels a million miles away - Hidden gem in the 'real Mauritus', comfortable, clean and with a simple but delicious breakfast with wonderful hosts. Kids and adults alike loved it. Nothing! Just read the directions you're sent carefully if you're driving as Google doesn't quite know how to get there.

• Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional - Eric and Lisbeth are remarkable hosts, preserving a sprawling Mauritian garden only 100m from the beach. It is located by driving down a narrow bituminous road to the end, (Le Bouchon public beach) and then turning left, for 50m on a rocky, sand road. The gate is on the left, another 50m up a similar rocky road. The breakfast is very leisurely, with Eric explaining directions to various attractions and giving recommendations. Eric makes an effort to introduce a different fruit/health drink at the start of each breakfast and keeps guests on suspense regarding the actual ingredients. We were fortunate enough to sample the magnificent monstera fruit, fruit deliueuse, which tastes like mangosteen but looks like banana in a green scaly outer skin. We were present during a cyclone, so spent a couple of days just lying next to the pool and drinking Phoenix beer. Not much not to like. Aircon would be nice, so you have electric fan to cool the sleeping body instead. There is strong WiFi in the living area and weak on/off reception in the rooms.

The chats during breakfast were wonderful - I enjoyed and looked forward to them. Breakfast was light and from fresh, locally sourced and grown ingredients. Eric, Isabel and Rose May were extremely helpful - advice on places to visit, mosquito repellents, things to do around, etc. Thank you once again, I certainly hope to come back. Accessibility to public transportation was limited - best to rent a car.

• Lena (8/5): Lovley place! - Lovley place! Clean, big room, very nice lounge and balcony, good breakfast. Eric and Lisbeth is very friendly and helpful. Very nice snorkeling right just a few steps away. A little remote but no problem for us as we had a car.

It is a budget accomodation so hard to expect a lot, however, I enjoyed more other similar budget option during our holidays. Close to the beach and airport. Rooms are not locked No air condition Bummpy road to the object Breakfast at fixed time - 8.30 WiFi only in common area. Wrong chcek out time, I asked owner to correct it and I think it is correct right now. Chcek out is till 10

• Marc (9/5): Superb - Eric is a super nice host! Its great to talk to him, he takes time and gives good recommandations. Unlike in other hotels, where the personal is "professional-friendly", he is really friendly by heart. Everybody eats breakfast together. We really enjoyed that! The rooms are simple but clean. I would stay here again. You cant lock the door of your room. I was a bit worried about my valuables, but nothing got away. The last 100m to the hotel are gravel road with some medium rocks in it. Also, dont trust your GPS!

• Susan (7/5): Good - Close to the coast and very quite. Lots of space in the room and communal areas/balconies. Family style breakfast was included. Friendly, helpful owner. It felt more staying with friends than at a hotel. Lovely coastal/cliff walk near by. The WiFi was very poor and limited to a tiny area outside the kitchen (and cell/mobile reception was terrible in the area too) Gangs of loose/stray dogs outside (in the area). Pool had no seats nearby.

Fresh breakfast (bread, butter, jam, fruits and good coffee) As our flight was 10 pm, we really appreciated possibility to check out late in the afternoon. Internet connection only in common places (not in the room) - which was fine for us but speed and connection could be better.
• Boglarka (10/5): Exceptional - We have spent 3 nights there, before we departed from Mauritius. Perfect place to relax and explore the area or just enjoy your last or first days on the Island. We really liked the breakfasts, room was big enough for 2 adults and for 1 child. I can recommend it.
