- Flavio (1/5): Decepcionante.
- Maria Agustina (10/5): -
- Rodolfo (2/5): Pasable - Que consegui lugar!

- Luján (8/5): - Hotel acorde a categoría y precio.
- Simon (2/5): - Very noisy, hot water takes three minutes to arrive in the shower, and they don't clean the room everyday.
- Frederick (4/5): - Location great but none of staff spoke English. Mattress torn and stained. Much dust under bed.
- Jair (10/5): - I was attending the IPSA World Congress held at the Catholic University of Argentina. Hotel Chipre is about a 15 minute walk from campus as well as other points of interest such as the Plaza de Mayo, the Cathedral, and Casa Rosada. It is also right by plenty of markets for food and toiletries. The famous, historical Bar El Federal is down the block of the hotel for a nice night out. Other bars, restaurants, and cafe's are close as well. Mercado San Telmo is also a nice place to go shopping. Overall excellent location and though my Spanish is not the best, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
- No tienen tv.
- Thom (2/5): - It smells of piss and the beds are not cleaned
- Noelia (6/5): BIEN - BUENA RELACION PRECIO CALIDAD. EXCELENTE UBICACION
Baños olían a orina.
- andrea (6/5): Good area, accetable place - The hotel is not a five stars, but if you want have some rest before leaving it’s ok. The area super cool. The stuff will try to cover you all rate taxes included because “they don’t have fotocopy”. Just in case there is a fotocopy shoop 200 metres far.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Schmutzig, heruntergekommene Möbel (Dusch"tür" fiel beim ersten Anfassen mir entgegen), schlechtes, immer wieder ausfallendes Internet, keine Standard-TV-Programme.
- Rafael (10/5): - Hotel bem localizado em San Telmo. Hotel simples, não espere muito. Ótimo custo/benefício. Café simples, cortesia. (Media lunas e café). Quarto limpo, utilizamos o banheiro coletivo, estava sempre limpo.
- Alexandra (6/5): - My room was very humid with mold
- Ana (6/5): - No me gusto!
- Dino (2/5): Neglected and dodgy - They try to take advantage of the tourists. A waste of time and money. You don’t get what you’re paying for.
- Rosana (2/5): Horrible hotel. Feo sucio y viejo - La experiencia fue horrible. Hay humedad. No limpian no cambian sábanas. Te dan un té miserable de desayuno. Esta todo sucio. Hay movimientos y ruidos toda la noche. Olor a frito y comida. Desagradable todo.
- Thales (2/5): Very unsatisfied with my stay - When I booked the room, I emailed the staff asking for a late check-in, once my flight would arrive by midnight, and I would get to the hotel by 2 am. They emailed me back and we agreed that someone would wait for us (my gf and I). When we got there, I rang the bell 3 times or so to get an angry guy telling us that they were closed and I couldn't ring the bell because there were people sleeping. I asked him if he could speak in English and he said "no". I tried to explain him that we had a room booked, but he wouldn't listen to me; He just closed the door in our faces, turned his back and left. Luckily for us, there is a Police Station in front of the hotel and there was a kind police officer watching everything. We spoke to her and she intervened and helped us talk to the guy. After he called someone (the manager, I guess), he told us that we were right and that he was sorry for the inconvenience, and placed us on a room (which had no jacks, so we couldn't charge our phones). By the time we woke up, I asked about the breakfast to discover that it was only a croissant and a "café au lait". I am definitely unsatisfied with the overall quality of the services and amenities provided. The room and the bathroom were not good and they looked kind of dirty. Also, we were treated very badly, as if we had randomly choose there to stay. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the place nor the breakfast, but I did take a picture of the "Closed" sign he put at the door.
- 143filipea (2/5): The worst - Worst hotel of my life. DON’T STAY HERE!!! It is really a nightmare. Rats, bugs, rude staff, dark, dirty, and you feel like you can’t trust them. PAY MORE AND STAY SAFE! I guarantee you it is the best thing to do.
(foto).. Seria um filtro ao contrário. ..
- Sergio (4/5): hotel close to San Telmo - I had two bad experiences: at check in I was forced by the person who received me to go and take a fotocopy of my passport in order to avoid local taxes which is by law. I was tired and wanted to rest but I had to go right away for this document. My recommendation would be to ask visitors prior to their arrival to arrive with this documents.
The day I was leaving the internet didnt work at all and I needed to ask for a Uber but as Internet didnt work I suffered a lot and there was no one to help me from the hotel. This means was a bad experience for me staying at this hotel as I almost lose my international flight
- onedum (2/5): A Dump!!! - Don't let the low price fool you! It isn't worth that much! I made a non-deposit reservation to the Chipre only because I wanted to be in that neighborhood (San Telmo). We took a cab from the airport to check it out. After banging on the door for 5 minutes, someone let us in. There was no one there in charge. After about 15 minutes a young man showed up and showed us a room It smelled of all kinds of odors. We asked to see a different room. He told us he had to make breakfast (11am!!). We left to find another hotel using Fodors. We lucked into Mansion Vitraux, a great low cost place!
- ADRIAN (8/5): Hotel bueno - Fue placentera la estadia
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location amd friendly staff in nice area - It was exactly what we wanted to start off our trip in Buenos Aires. The staff were friendly and spoke English. It's easy to walk to some of the recommended sites
- Natalie (4/5): Cheap and comfy - Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. I had been told by taxis drivers the area was quite safe but further down the street you needed to be vigilant. Situated right in front of a police station. Free wifi but not very good in the end/corner rooms. On suite shower was more like a wet room as shower was not separate it had the nozzle coming from the walk almost over the toilet.
- Adam (4/5): Worth it for the money, don't expect much. - We stayed in a private double room with a private bathroom. It was in the back of the hotel and the WIFI did not reach our room. The bathroom did not have a ceiling so there was a lack of privacy. The TV had no reception and was all black and white fuzz. The floor was dirty as our feet were black when we exited the shower. The hotel seems to be managed and run by one employee 24/7. The guy
- 143filipea (2/5): TERRIBLE - Everything about this hotel sucks!! Starting for Alejandra, one of their employees. They were very rude and dirty with me and my friends. We didn't sleep good because the room were filled with cockroaches and rats. I wouldn't stay here even if the idea is to save money. Never again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): False Advertising - I think the pictures and name misrepresent what this place actually is. It is a hostel. If you're a college student on a budget that just needs a place to sleep then you might be ok with staying here, but I found the quality way below what I was willing to accept. The sheets were dingy and stained and there was no heating. The entire hostel shared a bathroom, which lacked soap and toilet paper. The information says that this hotel offers continental breakfast, but what I received was 6 crackers (I counted) and a token to get a drink out of the vending machine. I didn't feel like the room was secure. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear everyone's conversation. I called in advance to ask for a remise to pick me up from the airport and was promised one, but when I arrived there wasn't one. When I asked the front desk about it, he said he hadn't been informed. The staff wasn't rude, but I also didn't talk with them much because I didn't want to offend. I left as soon as I found another hotel that was suitable.
- michellew638 (6/5): Too hot to sleep - We stayed here for 3 nights in the middle of December and the outside temperatures was 90 degrees. The rooms do not have Windows or even a fan and are built around the inside of the hotel so there is no air! The room was basic and relatively clean same for the showers and toilet. Breakfast too was poor consisting of a bag of crackers and biscuits along with a token for the drinks vending machine. The hotel is in a very good location and San Telmo is fantastic with many bars and restaurants. The lady who dealt with us was very nice and spoke very good English but overall the hostel didn't do it for me and I know you can stay in better and cheaper options very near by.
- Anon (6/5): Great location in San Telmo at great price - Staff were really nice. Place was a bit dirty and some of the doors on the toilets didn't have locks but it was a really good price in good location in San Telmo. Be careful about when you arrive as the sign on the door said that the reception was only open from 12 until 4 on Saturday and not at all on Sunday (other days until 8).
- Verified traveler (2/5): reception and dirtu bathroom - There is no reception at this hotel. I mean is exists, but it works only in the afternoon. In the night and early morning there is nobody, so if you need anything or any quiestion nobody will answer you.I think if yo uarea tourist and you dont know the city, reception is necessary, there you can be helped with all quiestions. In the afternoon sometimes there was a woman that didnt know anything!! she didnt know what bus goes to the center, or any other quiestion. How is it possible if she work at RECEPTION i still dont understand. The shower and restroom is shared( i knew about that), but its really dirty and there is a terrible smell....so...in my opinion the hotels is really leaves much to be desired
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel Chipre. - The beds stank. No one has cchanged the pillows or matrttesses here in years and they have accumulated perspiration, as of course there is no air in the rooms. Also no toilet paper, so bring your own! The provided breakfast was pitiful.
The old lady whoi runs this place also found it necessary to charge an extrfa 25% TAX, even though the booking from hotle.com said the negotiated price included all taxes.
- lenong2015 (2/5): Badddddddddddddd !!!! - Hello, I make sure to comment on this little hotel in the fifth category Takeoff partners, first of all the information present in both the Hotel's website take off, as the hotel's own website are all fake ... EX: Wifi does not work, there is no maid, no reception, no change of towels and even less on the bed sheets, and when I realized I had roaches scattered everywhere ... Zero for that hotel
- casalsm (10/5): Excelent - The hotel isn't expensive, on the contrary, so you expect to find whatever service you would find elsewhere for 20 dollars a day. You can have your room with or without the shared bathroom. I chose the private bathroom because I traveled with a friend and we preferred so.
The hotel is clean enough, no one will enter your room without asking you first, so it's very safe as well. The hotel is well located so me and my friend could go walking to most of the central places, as Florida, Plaza de Mayo, Cafe Tortoni, Av 9 de Julho, El Ateneo.
The manager, Jose, is very friendly, so you can ask him how to get to places, maybe where to buy some stuff. He was really helpful, so that's a pro for the hotel, in my opinion.
If you do decide on a cheap hotel to go alone or with 1 or 2 friends, that you'll have a good location and that is safe and clean, that hotel chipre is probably the right one.
