• Dorothy (8/5): Nice but won’t stay again. - Location was great! Close to metro and easy walk to museums. Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The design was very nice— what I call casually elegant. The rooms are very dark. The surfaces in bathroom are black. The lighting is quite contemporary and stunning with pinhole recessed lights, but while being dramatic, is spotty and with the dark surfaces, difficult to see. Applying makeup and shaving are challenging. The “bathroom” is comprised of a water closet with door, shower with door, and a sink which floats on a partial wall to the bed area. For a single person, this is great. It does not, however, give two people much privacy or noise diffusion. Lastly, the dining and bar area gets very busy in the evening. The bar requires reservations. If you are staying at the hotel, you cannot just pop down to the bar for a drink. Having a second bar that does not require reservations might help the guests enjoy the hotel more.

Breakfast was very expensive and the restaurant was always busy and did not cater very well for hotel guests. Rooms were nice but the overall cleanliness was not good. Marks from drinks on woodwork not cleaned, a lot of dust.

• Jonathan (6/5): - The staff were very helpful. Quickly changed my room to one on the top floor. If you book, it is worth asking for one on the top floor as you get lovely rooftop views. The new room was good (light and airy) although the heating wasn't really working. It was very cold at night. Mentioned it to the front desk who altered something on his computer and it improved a bit, but it was still insufficient. Good location for the trendy area nearby. Great street market and fun bars and restaurants. The breakfast is very ordinary. For example the fruit salad is mainly different coloured melon, with a few blueberries and 3 chopped up strawberries in the large serving bowl! Poached eggs were nearly cold. Not worth the money. The gym isn't actually in the hotel. It is approximately 50 - 75 m down the street in a gym trainers studio - not convenient nor welcoming. Avoid the corner bedrooms, ending in 39 (I think), very small. I moved rooms. Expensive at 400 euro a night.

• Bryan (10/5): A hip hotel that offers a quiet respite in a central location. - Centrally located - close to seeing sights and very close to the metro. But a serene neighborhood with many eating options. Very modern but relaxed. Exceptional staff! Lobby is a little small.

When we asked staff for more towels, coffee capsules or iron etc they were immediately brought up. Staff were excellent to help at all times. Would stay again for sure! • Gabrielle (7/5): Good location but nothing else to celebrate - Great location and great check in experience! We were on the 4th floor and surrounded by loud water pipe noises all night, the bed was a thin spring mat which squeaked and was not restful. The light system was overly complicated.

There was no Breakfast due to the restaurant being closed (caused by the weather). I had a room on the road side witch was more noisy than i would expect. also the booking ad had a bath as possibility for my room but in fact the hotel does not offer this room type with a bath. witch was a bit of a downer since the cold weather i was looking forward to a bath.

• Span (8/5): Prettig hotel in de pijp. - Een rustige kamer, geen geluid om je heen. Bed lag goed. En de locatie was voor ons fijn in een veilige en gezellige wijk. Het hotel is heel donker en ook de kamer was erg donker met een zwart glazen wand. Wanneer je op bed zit, kijk je naar jezelf. Wij hadden ontbijt bijgeboekt, maar dat viel erg tegen: vrij droog, niet vers brood, geen vers sap, filterkoffie...prijs ontbijt staat niet in verhouding tot kwaliteit.

• Siw (9/5): Ett hotspot i Amsterdam med bra läge - Fantastisk personal som hjälpte mig och såg till att vi fick bästa service i alla avseenden. Läget är bra och promenadavstånd till det mesta. Bra shopping, fina museum med vacker konst och som sagt personal på hotellet som gav förslag på både restauranger, utflykter mm. Restaurang i BV är mycket bra och väl värd ett besök. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka till detta hotell- en pärla i Amsterdam

• Manon (8/5): We hebben genoten van Sir Albert als uitvalsbasis voor ons bezoek aan Amsterdam . - Ontbijt was prima en het personeel aan de receptie erg vriendelijk en meedenkend in tips voor kinderen. De kamer was wat klein en vooral de badkamer was minimaal.
