- Sirichai (9/5): recommend - The Bund Panorama Oasis with Romantic Pool offered a fantastic view of Pudong. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The warm pool in the middle of the room offered a beautiful view of the Pearl Tower; however, the steam from the bath made the room feel very moist and uncomfortably hot, almost like a steam room.

- lee lea im (5/5): The rest of my trip after the bund was great. - The view of the river from the room is wonderful, as promised. The room is very comfortable and facilities are well maintained. The bathroom and spa bath is extremely nice. Tried to communicate with the hotel staff to help with restaurant booking but was unable to get helpful tips and ended up going to the nearby mall without any reservations, after a long day of flying into shanghai.

Esp liked the champagne available and pastry choices. We also loved the spa and beautiful rooms The hotel could have had better wine and liquor choices and the rooftop bar service was very bad. We waited for our table for 20 minutes even though we had a reservation. Also drink quality was not great and service was extremely slow there. Disappointing unfortunately but spectacular views!

The hotel was luxurious, rooms massive, loved being able to sit next to the window on the lounge and the bath also having a view, plus the different scents in the oil burner each day. We also booked last minute another night and the hotel kindly let us stay in the same room without moving. Nothing would stay again :)

De foto’s van het uitzicht van het zwembad leek gefotoshopt, maar het uitzicht was veel beter dan op de foto. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, met enorm veel keuze. De kamer was ruim en had alles wat je nodig had. Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. /

- Nicholas (5/5): This hotel is in need of some TLC - Staff were great We have had a fabulous time in Shanghai and staying at the Banyan Tree, on the Bund. The hotel is Ok. Banyan Tree hotels are a prestigious top quality brand, but sadly this hotel is not. The staff have all been fabulous and the food was great. Our room was very clean and a great size. we had a room overlooking the Bund and the view was amazing. Sadly the room is very tired. Numerous Floor tiles in the bathroom are broken and moving. The doors on the bathroom cabinet are falling to bits. The bathroom is the worst sabby place I have ever stayed in. Rooms, especially the bathrooms need a major refurb. Also the gym has no air conditioning or it wasn't working and there were no gym towels or water. Would not recommend or stay again.

- Maha (5/5): Nice modern hotel with friendly staff but not worth the price - The room is spacious, modern, and nicely designed. The bathroom is large and the view from the jacuzzi/bathtub is beautiful. There’s plenty of storage space for your belongings. The room was unbearably hot. The AC is central and fixed at 23°C, and the control panel in the room is just for show. When I called reception, they confirmed it’s not functional. The windows face the river, but there’s no proper blackout. Once the sun rises, the entire room fills with light. No soundproofing at all: you hear footsteps upstairs, doors opening and closing, cleaning staff talking loudly from 6AM, and even the boats passing by on the river. Breakfast had very limited options. Definitely not worth it. Most of the reception staff only speak Chinese. I understand this is China, but in a hotel of this price range you would expect staff who can communicate with international guests. The main restaurant closes at 9PM, which makes no sense for a five-star hotel. The room rate is around CNY 2,500 per night, and they take a CNY 2,000 deposit — you basically end up paying double upfront. Stayed for 5 nights, and honestly not a single night was comfortable. The location isn’t great and quite remote The room itself is nice, but the facilities, location and overall experience were very disappointing. Definitely not worth the price and I do not recommend this hotel.

Edison and Pinky were particularly helpful! The room was luxurious, with a view of the Bund, which made it difficult to leave the hotel and explore!

We had a great time at Shanghai Banyan hotel! The view was amazing at the top and our room had an amazing view as well. The customer service here is top tier from the doorman at the front to the cleaning ladies. Everyone here was so welcoming and nice!

- 608svetlanas (10/5): Perfect view - I spent two nights here with my son. The room had a very-very beautiful view. These are some of the best breakfasts I've ever had while travelling the world. The rooftop bar was exceedingly enjoyable; the views are breathtaking. Additionally, the hotel location is ideal. We took the metro from the airport because our bags weren't too heavy, and it was easy and cool. The next day we explored the city by metro as well. After a day in the loud and busy city, it was great to come back to Banyan Tree and relax in the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. A minor issue was that I had to inquire about and provide an explanation regarding the welcome drink and the late check-out (I requested an extension of 1.5 hours and was granted permission to remain an additional hour and check out at 1 pm). As a gold Accor member of their loyalty program, this is typically not a concern. But in this case I had to explain and ask additionally. However it was easy to settle, because the Banyan Tree team was very nice and polite. We liked this beautiful hotel very much.

- SPurwanto (10/5): Spacious room with amazing view - We booked 3 riverside rooms, they managed to give us an upgrade on 1 of the rooms to bund view room which has an amazing view. But even the other 2 riverside rooms you still have an amazing view, it’s just on the lower floor. The rooms are spacious with huge comfortable lounge sofa near the window (It’s more comfortable than most rollaway bed). Unfortunately the bar which apparently has one of the best view of Pudong was under renovation. The hotel is also located near raffles city north bund shopping mall (there’s a great food court at the basement with retro design called citymart)

- Masahisa (4/5): - スイートルームに宿泊したが、電気系統の問題があり、カーテンが閉まらず、電源、テレビが使えいことが繰り返し、都度、エンジニアを呼ぶ必要があった。また、売りのひとつの、ルーフトップレストランが改装中で使えず、景色が見れないことがどこにも事前に告知されていなかった。 朝食やサービスは良かっただけに、五つ星のスイートを宿泊した価値としては、不満な滞在となりました。
