Step in and realised medical and safety issue. I highlighted immediately to staff She acted as if nothing was wrong and focus to charge me Never did stay and my request for refund was denied. I immediately wrote to booking.com however my next hotel which I moved received the complaint instead when I clearly wrote within this property reservation Avoid at all cost

Confused yet still I lost 2 nights of booking paid which I didn't stay and was refused refund

• BRIA (1/5): Avoid - The only possible good thing about the place is the location Avoid at all costs!! Staff were rude and incompetent, along with the ridiculous amount of tax you pay to book this place you then have to pay further tax and a deposit on the door, when I asked what the tax I paid for was for the lady on reception didn’t have a proper answer. After spending a while at the front desk to check in she didn’t set the room key up correctly, when I told her it didn’t work she had a face like a slapped arse. To use the hair dryer they require a 50MR in cash as well so bring plenty of cash for all the hidden costs. What was meant to be an affordable place ended up being expensive with all the extra costs. Our towels were stained and smelt, the bathroom had ants all over the sink, there was a gaping hole in the bathroom roof, the air on couldn’t change settings, the WiFi was non existent, there were stains and marks all over the desk and dresser and about 1 working plug socket in the room. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper as room service doesn’t freshen these up no matter how long the stay is, and be prepared for everyone at the front desk to look at you weird when you request it. Very few of the staff can understand basic English which also made dealing with them 10 times harder. We asked if someone would be at the front desk at 9:30pm as we were checking out the night prior to catch a bus to KL, the staff looked at us as if we were stupid and said the front desk was 24h. We knew to ask as every night we had noticed staff weren’t occupying the desk. As it happens the night we try to check out there was no one there and about 10 other people in the lobby all waiting, with a sign on the front desk saying ‘gone to the toilet’. The other people had said they had been waiting for 20 minutes, and we didn’t have time to be stood around hoping someone who works there would arrive.

• Maria Dolores (2/5): Mejor en otro hotel - Ubicación Falta de mantenimiento: el baño de la habitación tenía fugas y además para que se llenara el depósito debías girar una llave de paso para llenarlo en ese momento ya que el depósito perdía poco a poco el agua. La habitación era antigua aunque amplia. El pasillo estaba revestido por una desgastada moqueta con falta de aseo. El WC de la planta baja no funcionaba correctamente.

Then I asked i just check in so could you provide another room staff difficult without che k available room so I ask guess I've to make complaint to reverend authority then only she told get another room , told that's right action . Extremely disappointed incompetent of the staff . TV not working cable problem .

Я благодарна за приятное проживание - Честно говоря, после бронирования я начала читать отзывы и сильно переживала. Были негативные комментарии, и я уже настроилась на худшее. Но по факту совершенно зря. Когда мы приехали, всё оказалось нормально: номер чистый, аккуратный, без неприятных запахов, персонал вежливый и спокойный. Заселение прошло без проблем. Расположение отличное центр города, всё рядом. За свою цену это очень достойный вариант. Отель не новый мебель и ремонт не современные. Но нужно понимать, что это бюджетный вариант размещения. Для своей ценовой категории ожидать дизайнерский интерьер было бы странно.
• Rik (1/5): Do not go here - Only the location A lot... First our room (booked 2,5 weeks in advance) was 'full' so we got a twin bed room for the first night instead of our Kingsize bed room. Furthermore there were (blood) stains in the carpet of the hallway of the rooms. In our first room we found a lot of hairs of other guests. The shower only got warm after 10 minutes (sign indicates to turn it on 5 tot 10 min prior taking a shower). In the second (Kingsize bed) room we did not have hot water at all. Would not recommended anyone.

There was a lot of maintenance that was being neglected (like walls that needed painting urgently from numerous scratches, drawings etc) carpet wasn't very clean, also the towel had a little red spot

• Timothy (5/5): Worst hotel stay I have had in 23 years of travelling in south east Asia. - Location was very good. Short walk to eateries, museums and located adjacent to Melaka river. Also close to 711 supermarkets. First of all for booking.com. This hotels name is "Tun Fatimah Riverside hotel" not as stated on your website "Sunday Malacca". While a Sunday Malacca hotel does exist it is a completely different hotel. I have no idea where you got your information from. This also caused some difficulty with the taxi driver having a correct address but an incorrect name. After driving around Melaka the taxi driver made a call and eventually established that we had the correct address. We finally managed to check in. The television in the room was not working neither was my friends. There was no hot water for our entire stay. We arrived and endured 3 days of hotel renovations including the removal of sections of wall with a jackhammer. This went on for up to 6 hours a day for our entire stay.

• Durges (1/5): - ⭐ Very Disappointing Experience – N ot Recommended I had already booked this hotel and paid the full amount. However, after I reached the destination, the staff informed me that the room was not available and asked me to move to another hotel. This was extremely unprofessional and stressful, especially after a long journey. Additionally, I had booked a king-size bed, but instead I was given a room with two single beds, which was not what I paid for. They also wasted a lot of our time, and when I requested to add extra hours to compensate for the delay caused by them, they refused. Overall, this was a very poor and disappointing experience. Bad management, no responsibility, and no respect for guests’ time. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

• KARTINI (4/5): Short vacay with hubby. - Nice location, great views, easy to go anywhere around. Bed very comfortable. I had very good sleep. The wardrobe was broken and board almost falls, a lot of dust even on the drawer, its was not clean properly, and the shower head also broken, make the water spread around the floor. The bathtub not really clean to have a baths inside the tub for relaxing on hot/warm bath 🛀. They not even provide the floormat, after shower a bit slippery when out from bathroom, and I ask my husband to ask from them on that night to get floormat, but no body answers the call when we call from our room to the receptionist, till my husband go down to front desk/ receptionist ask directly from the girls on the desk, but that's Indian girls said no housekeeping still work on the night, this is how the ladies answer from a guest question?? We no need housekeeping on the night, we just need floormat because the room doesn't have floormat and it's slippery after shower. Then we no choice we have to wait for the next day when in the morning got housekeeping clean the next room, we ask directly from the housekeeping ladies, for the floormat. 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Rooms are ONLY clean or make up on demand ! Everything on request including bottled water However hot water took awhile to warm up. The reception looks like war torn, connection to the shopping center looks like a deserted and vacant
