- Ger (9/5): Ik kom er voor de derde keer ,en er gaat ook een vierde keer komen. - De rust ,en de ongedwongen heid.het eten was heerlijk en het ontbijt ruim voldoende . Geen opmerkingen

- Mona (8/5): - Het diner was fantastisch. De bedden. Een beetje te laag.
- TotoVI (10/5): Uitstekende locatie voor overnachting en diner. - De bedden en het eten. Niets.
- Ardagh (5/5): Huge potential but needs money spending. - The location is lovely - very rural but we knew that. We had a nice meal at theiir adjoining restaurant, quite pricey for France and only set menus available. The owner is a good chef, he could make more of the restaurant. The decor was poor quality and dated. Our bed was pretty awful and the bathroom was an odd mixture of very old and new additions. The toilet was basically in a cupboard. Newly installed laminate flooring squeaked any time someone walked on it.

- Tom&Debs (9/5): - The most tranquil of locations we have stayed in. The ambience was homely and friendly.. We loved our one night stay..
- Richard (9/5): Lovely hotel run by very nice people - Lovely setting, very quiet and food was delicious. Parking was a long way from room to carry bags.
- Geoffrey (9/5): Nice friendly owner and cracking chef - Great food and location Nothing
- William (6/5): Pleasant -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Remo (10/5): Perfect peace and quiet in rural France - Stopped here en route to Italy by car, very much off the beaten track. Lovely countryside location, very peaceful. Pleasant welcome. good room with all facilities, bed was adjustable and very comfortable. Decor a little dated, but this is part of the charm of choosing a rural hotel. Excellent meal, reasonably priced; lady who served us was especially nice. Good breakfast. Would definitely come back.
- Daron (2/5): Fantastic restaurant, otherwise poor facilities, No bar. - The restaurant , which is in a separate building from the rooms ( I say rooms and not hotel as this is not what I would consider a conventional hotel ), was particularly good.
Being a Saturday evening, I had pre booked a table for 4, and the restaurant was quite busy, but our party was the only table of residents, all of the others were locals enjoying the fine cuisine. The menu is varied with some unusual dishes and everything we ordered was excellent. It's worth staying here for the restaurant alone. When I booked this ' hotel ', I was aware of the check-in time , but after a long drive from Italy, we arrived an hour before check-in. No problem, as this hotel is advertised as having a bar. I nearly always arrive at hotels before my room is ready, usually to enjoy a pint in the bar or to use the facilities in general before heading to my room.
On this occasion, we found the place deserted. 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and no staff anywhere. Finding an unlocked door, we entered to find the reception desk and some tables and chairs, where we sat and waited. Shortly after, a rather angry lady appeared shouting they were closed and we shouldn't be in here. I explained we had been on the road since 7.30 am and could we wait in the bar, to which I was told there is no bar.
Eventually, she calmed down and let us into our rooms early , but that was it. Not food or drink , nothing.
We were told the restaurant would unlock at 4 pm when we could buy a drink , but then we had to take it back to our rooms as the restaurant was still closed until 7.30pm .
I would not have booked this hotel had I realised there was no reception / communal area, and no bar in which to relax.
- Ger (10/5): - We hebben het reuze goed gehad en komen volgend jaar weer graag terug.
- Weejock (9/5): superb location very relaxing with good food and excellent room - the location was to die for, the character of the property was something special , the bed very comfy, shower very hot and powerful,, my partner and I spent so much of out single night stay walking round the ground it was so relaxing,,
the restaurant was very good and sitting in the terrace was a pleasant ,, the breakfast was outstanding and coffee to die for I couldn't get enough Cpl little niggles,, tea/coffee in the room but no milk and just a small complaint was quite a small choice fir the meal menus, but these are minor issues
Impression globale: a déconseiller !
- Michael (10/5): - Beautiful setting. Great food. Very helpful proprietor.
- William (10/5): - Room was clean and comfortable. Dinner at restaurant good. Reasonable price. I stayed there because it was near the TGV station.
- Sidco (9/5): Superb - Great find ,just outside the usual small deserted village, room was good nice shower ,very very quiet, onsite parking a really fabulous restaurant ,excellent and welcoming friendly staff Nothing
- Sally (7/5): Enjoyable stay, warm welcome and delightful evening meal. - Peaceful location Thin walls and so noise from other rooms
- Janine (9/5): Comfortable stay in lovely location with delicious mealtime - Wonderful location, quiet and serene and picturesque.
Room was well equipped, whilst very 'traditilnal ' was clean, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Restaurant was excellent, very good value and delicious. Breakfast included homemade jams ,yoghurts and good vienoiserrie. Nothing really.
- Mervkk (6/5): Pleasant - Clean room and very scenic outdoors. Does not cater for vegetarian and gluten free. No flexibility.
Provided extra meats for breakfast to make up for lack of options. Very pricey breakfast even if you don't have dietary restrictions.
- Anca (7/5): Good -
- Patricia (10/5): True hidden gem! - What a gem! The place was adorable, reminding of Monet’s water garden. The staff was friendly and informative. We had a delicious dinner on the terrace. Don’t miss this place!
- Zuzana (10/5): Bicycle stop - Setting was second to none. Idyllic and tranquil. The staff were lovely and dinner and breakfast delicious. Comfortable beds. All was totally perfect. Nothing
- Timothy (8/5): Great hotel, great food. - The food was excellent - both in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast in the morning. Beautiful building in a lovely location. Thought the room decor was a trifle drab and the beds a trifle firm - but neither would put us off staying there again.
- Alan (9/5): A Gourmet treat - The food was excellent- a real gourmet treat. The location was atmospheric as the hotel is next to an old water mill.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Peaceful hotel in beautiful setting. - The breakfast was excellent. Lots of food and good coffee. We had a small dog and she was made to feel most welcome. There were wonderful fields for her to walk in. Everything was OK.
- Elisabet (8/5): Very good -
- Lawrence (10/5): Will stay again - Beautiful location and amazing cuisine. Very friendly staff. Air conditioning in room Nothing
- Gregory (9/5): A perfect overnight spot with lovely food - Relaxed. Quiet. Friendly staff. Good food. So so different from the typical motorway budget hotel option. Saturday breakfast not available until 8. We had to leave at 7. Oh well.
- Romain (7/5): Good -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vip (10/5): Our stay here - Fantastic
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lorraine Country Inn - Beautiful location; fascinating old mill with modern annexed sleeping quarters. Restaurant was very good. Variety of choices, fresh local products, preparation and presentation first rate. Breakfasts good with normal continental variety; local (?) yogurt, warm bread etc. Bedrooms somewhat dark, need more outlets, perhaps fresh colors, walls seem thin. Still, very clean and well maintained. Owners utterly delightful and very helpful. We would happily return.
- Ian (8/5): - Rooms a bit basic and tired but restaurant good and service good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice and calm, there is a river next to the hotel
The bottle of water is very appreciated (especially during the heat wave)
I regret some small manufacturing defects in the bathroom (wallpaper)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Secluded - Wonderful hotel in a great location. Friendly staff.
- Susan Jane (10/5): Lovely quiet spot with excellent restaurant - We loved this hotel and restaurant. The surroundings were lovely, with very friendly people. We should love to return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel - Family run with excellent restaurant. Hosts were very nice and very accommodating
- Anthony (8/5): Watermill Hotel - Comfortable hotel. Good service and good meals. Best seen probably in the Summer
- j (10/5): A wonderful stay - The ambience of Hotel Le Chantoiseau was excellent, the staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was gourmet, and the situation was just beautiful. The old water mill was picture perfect and the new build ie the bedrooms melded in with the old building. It is worth staying for several days and not just the one night in our case.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Family room in need of updating - We stayed in the family apartment given we were 2 adults and 3 children. Plus points are that the location is pretty, staff were courteous and the on site restaurant is good. However, the family apartment is in desperate need of updating. It was very 70s, with padded and embossed wallpaper on all walls, all doors and ceilings. The bathroom was tiny (could hardly close the door on the toilet). I wouldn't stay here again, which is a shame as it could be really nice if updated.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mid France stop over - Quiet and good for a family in stand alone chalet.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - great food and service.
