• Emma (6/5): Really great value and perfect place to stay if you are looking for a self serviced experience. - Pool, the room and balcony were nice . , great value for money . Disappointing lack of service . Things left by the pool by guests . Ashtrays empty cans , used towels .. just stuff that’s so easy to clean up for the next guest , but they were just left there . Phones didn’t work in the rooms and TVs sound was broken . We were upstairs so if you needed anything like water or help with bags on leaving it was a hike to reception, and staff not overly helpful.

• Jason (4/5): Cheap but you very much get what you pay for. - Room was very small. Sliding door to bathroom continually jammed making it difficult to enter and exit. We were worried it would shatter if we forced it. Breakfast was very, very basic and we did not receive what was offered. It was also 40 minutes late. We chose to skip breakfast at the property after the first day.
• Julie (9/5): A quiet, clean and comfortable stay on outskirts of Legian area. - Beautiful ice cold rooms were welcome on a hot and humid arrival. Exceptionally clean and comfortable bed and room and bathroom. Great pool. A little far from main area of Legian needed a 10 minute taxi - would stay closer to the city next time. But doesn’t take away from how beautiful the accommodation is and so quiet and restful.

They attend to our quarry and helped as much as they could. very poor presentation, ragged and old fashioned apartments, facilities were old and not working properly, consumables were short, such as shampoo and body wash soaps. No spring waters, we bought our spring waters on daily basis. Breakfast was poor, but clean.

• Sarah (7/5): Quiet and comfortable place to stay - It was quiet and back off the busy streets. Great air con and comfortable rooms. The staff were lovely and helpful with everything. It was walking distance (probably 15 mins) to the main part of town we got a car or bike most of the time though as it was a bit hot for the kids to walk both ways. The hot breakfast was cold and not very nice. The cold options were fine though.

Zimmer sind vom Weg aus direkt einsehbar... man muss immer Vorhänge zuziehen.. dann sieht man aber nicht mehr, ob Tag oder Nacht ist.

Need a scooter to get to beach or shopping/rest - Simple, quiet, nice gardens and pool area, breakfast included and very helpful, friendly staff. It was just a little too far to walk to the beach if doing it several times in the day. Ok if you’re happy to taxi/ scooter though.

Can be a bit noisy from guest's talking on the small balcony as only bamboo screens divided them,rooms are clean, but have to askfor cleaning & tea bags,sugar coffee, & clean towels, bathroom drain was really smelly,needed a good disinfectant,! Patio needed a deep cleaning,! The whole place needed re painting looks old & tired,& only 2 sundeck pool loungers, seems that more could be invested into the maitance & rejuvenate the property's.

Some really fabulous local (so cheap & fresh) options for food. About a 20 min walk to Legian & Seminyak Beach, so we got our steps up rather than using Grab or Gojek.. Great value for money! Breakfast average but ok. Don’t pay extra though, there’s plenty of places nearby. Only 2 sun lounges, but there are a couple of tables & chairs. These are only minor… Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Daily cleaning. Breakfast pre-ordered daily and delivered to room at agreed time. Friendly and helpful staff. Nothing to complain about for the cost, it was great! Things like swim up pool bar, mini bar, buffet breakfast, etc. are nice but you would pay more for that at another hotel. This was great value for its price!
• Eurocanadian (10/5): Back to my lovely little Oasis. - Back again to what I previously called a lovely little Oasis. Much more so now with Bali's growing traffic chaos. This property still offers that quiet little respite for a good price when compared to other hotels. Such a comfortable bed with quality linens, a nice bathroom, good wifi, a small fridge freezer and a lovely pool. Not far away, there is now a Mie Gacoan, where you can get noodles and a Thai ice tea for only 20000 IDR. My favourite place, Mixue, is also nearby. The staff continues to be very helpful and brought me to the JS computer store, when I had issues with my laptop. I went to different areas from Kuta to Seminyak, trying out various hotels and Arana continues to take first place.

Bed was comfy, shower was really hot. great with the balcony. The room was well insulated, air con worked well. Unfortunately, a lot of loud indonesian tourists from other islands. they had zero common sense and were loud. Wish the hotel would give them instruction. also they were swimming in the pool with full clothes on, babies were naked and I think that's pretty unhygienic as Indidnt see the pool cleaned in 4days.
• Kerry (1/5): MOP BUCKET WATER EMPTIED ON MY HEAD - The bed was comfortable. The aircon worked. Shower water was hot. We are an easy going couple booked for an 8 night stay. When we arrived there were black hairs on the shower wall and shower screen and floor. There was no plug in the basin however Wayan fixed that when we asked. The main double power point did not work meaning we had to create a makeshift place to boil kettle/make coffee. Room was tiny. Only place to hang clothes is in the bathroom with no fan or ventilation so clothes continually damp from shower steam/condensation. 3 only coat hangers per person. Freezer was completely congested with built up ice. Mozzie are super horrendous due to heavy and unkempt foliage outside every room, meaning you could not leave a door or widow open for fresh air or use the tiny balcony. One chair only in the room, so only one person at a time can sit to eat the breakfast that is delivered to the room. The path that leads to all rooms floods to ankle deep meaning you can't wear shoes leaving room. You have to carry them to foyer before putting them on. No doormats to wipe wet feet before stepping onto deadly slippery tiles of our room. (We had several oopsies) Bamboo clothes airer was choked mould so unusable. Cushions on tiny single person settee were mouldy. MOP BUCKET WATER EMPTIED ON MY HEAD!!! Day 2, a cleaner upstairs emptied his mop bucket over the balcony. I copped it on my head. The water was so dirty it looked like coffee dregs. When I told the cleaner what had happened he DID NOT even apologise. I asked him if he could please clean the filth off our balcony. He did not! Room cleaning and servicing was non existent. The only cleaning done was the floor was made wet with the mop. The floor was not even swept first! (Explains why the mop bucket water I was showered with was so filthy.) No milk or creamer was supplied unless you asked for it. I had to ask for it every day. I had to ASK for TOILET PAPER every day! I had to ask for mozzie, zapper pads. Breakfast.

The hotel’s atmosphere, surrounded by trees, created a very peaceful vibe. The location was also great, and they made it easy to rent a motorcycle if needed. • Carissa (10/5): Chill Bali stay - All of the staff we have met were very accommodating and helpful. Upon check in, they carried our luggages to the rooms. They have served the breakfast on time each morning during our stay and even agreed to have it packed for take away when we had to travel early in one morning. Rooms are tidy and dust free, and spacious. There were lots of mosquitoes in the balcony but that’s all over Bali and something they can’t control. Overall, highly recommended. Nothing

I was in Bali for the first time and travelling as a solo female, I felt so safe, the hotel was easy to find and within 20 mins walk or a short gojek ride to the beach. Bed was so comfortable! Pool was very clean and refreshing. Breakfast was really nice, my favourite was the overnight oats. All the staff are helpful and friendly. There was nothing I could criticise at Arana
