- Dieuwke (10/5): Mountain retreat - Lovely resort up in the mountains close to Munnar. The surroundings are stunning. Going to Camelot Resort is really a peaceful break from the daily business in the lower areas.
- Sharma (10/5): Exceptional - Location is so nice and safe and staff is good. Good stay for family. The only thing is to be take care that for reaching here, don’t believe google map. First reach old Munnar and then only follow the map.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vijaya (9/5): Nice resort. All good including location, food, staff, Management, pool, Labradors, parking etc... - Location, Cleanliness and staff. of course, food is excellent!!! reaching out to the location is bit scary for the 1st time visitor. Later you will be habituated.
- Akshi (9/5): Excellent place good for a relaxed holiday - 1. The property is beautiful. It stands in the middle of a tea estate because of which the views are stunning. They have their own trek path. It's a short trek, but the sunrise from that point is breathtaking. The owners, Mr Dileep and Mrs Seemee, were very humble.
The staff is very helpful, and they have dogs who are just adorable.
2. Rooms are very spacious and can accommodate a family of 3 easily. The room we were given had one separate dining room. A small porch/balcony was there with a seating arrangement where you can sit, have tea, and chill.
3. Within their property, they have a swimming pool and lush green gardens to enjoy the view.
4. They also provided a stay for the driver. 1. The morning breakfast options were limited, and the taste was ordinary. During our stay, we were charged 1k per person for the Gala dinner on New Year's Eve, which was kind of mandatory, but the food options were so less for the spread they had prepared that night. Only 2 vegetarian dishes, including a very ordinary dal, with 2 non-vegetarian dishes (we are vegetarians).
2. They should keep one car available for pickup and any emergency since the location of the hotel is kind of secluded. While coming to the hotel, our cab broke down in between, it was getting dark, and we were kind of lost. There were hardly any signals, so we called the hotel to ask if they could send in their vehicle to pick us up. But they informed they do not have any vehicle available for a pickup.
- Dharmatva (7/5): -- - all good ,the view is awesome, property is amazing, staff very good. food options extremely limited, location is far from market and approach road to location is really bad
- Malgorzata (10/5): Wonderful holiday in Munnar! - The property is overlooking tea plantation, absolutely amazing views. Very friendly staff, wonderful chef serving regional food. The manager of the resort helped us to organise trips to all attractions. Daniel took us for a walk to see the sunrise which was amazing. He also organised for us a taxi. The driver was very good and very keen to show us beautiful waterfalls on the way to Alappuzha.
- Vijay (9/5): Great facility with some excellent staff to help you out!! - Excellent location, nice room & great service from a team led by Danny. Overall, a wonderful experience & would recommend to anyone who would like to go & relax at the facility. The dogs gave us great company too on our walks within the property 😊
- Khan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chinnappan (7/5): Good - Breakfast good, but still we expected more item south india like idly, dosa etc
- Sankar (8/5): The resort is an excellent location, and the services provided were awsome. - The location is excellent. The breakfast served was very good. The caretaker Danny was just an amazing guy with lot of energy. He took us for the morning trek to the mountain top to see the sunrise and the experience was fantastic. As this resort is at a remote location, in Munnar, the signboards along the road leading to this location are important But road signboards were missing. There was no mobile network and couldn't reach someone from the resort to seek guidance. The last but not the least, the last mile connectivity to the resort was through a forest, there was no proper road and normal cars had difficulties to tread through the off-road. Definitely the resort owner has to spend some money to improve the road.
- Alex (8/5): Very good -
- Arun (9/5): Our sojourn at Camelot Resort - The resort was in a picturesque location in Letchmi estate far from the hustle-bustle of Munnar town. The last 3km prior to reaching the resort is little treacherous considering the steep inclines at places. The resort is surrounded by tea estates and orchards which gives a welcome break in the lap of nature. The resort has two types of rooms including luxury and super luxury with little differences between the two. The rooms are well appointed with facilities to make hot beverages and washrooms too with adequate toiletries. The wifi connection in the rooms were generally good and hot water was available round the clock in the washrooms. Waking up to views of the sun kissed tea gardens and fruit orchards with a cup of tea is a therapeutic experience for city dwellers. The photo points created in the garden is extremely pretty with varieties of flowering plants. It was a delight to see the fruit trees and plants including orange, avocado, tamarillo, strawberry, passion fruit, pomegranates and varities of citrus. The staff were extremely courteous and called up even before we reached to inform regarding the route, inquire whether we needed lunch etc. The breakfast offered had variety and was tasteful. The lunch and dinner had to be ordered separately and was prepared on site. Overall thr food is quite tasty although on the pricier end which is justifiable considering the logistics of transporting raw materials to the remote location. The resort arranges for small morning treks to heights within their property which was fantastic to see the entire Letchmi hills coupled with a mesmerizing sunrise experience. The staff with their two pets dogs, Camy and Roxy also accompany the guests for the mini treks. Facilities for indoor entertainment like table tennis, foos ball, chess and carrom board and a mini library are provided. There was no facility to pay bills using credit or debit cards. However, payment using UPI was available as a saving grace. I would recommend the management to introduce POS machines. Secondly, the facility can purchase a few blowers for the luxury rooms which are located higher to rest of rooms. This may be useful for elderly people.
- Abilash (10/5): Excellent - Staff , Location , Food Mobile network and Wifi
- Jishnu (9/5): Superb -
- Chengalipotacal (7/5): Very nature friendly property and very good atmosphere.... - Location and surroundings of the resort very beautiful.... Maintenance of the room ....not properly.....Ex...we got luxury room....bathroom flush not working and one of our room cannot lock from outside.....feels little bit worry about our things in the room...Apart from this everything very good...friendly staffs including owner of the property and food was so delicious and great 👍...
- Abdul (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very close to nature. Small property in the middle of nowhere. Lovely couple that run it. Very relaxing. Don’t miss the Jeep sunrise tour.
We had great time.
- Vijay (4/5): Hotel not worth the price - We stayed there one night with our childern, there are no much activites in the hotel more over the food is over charged. They charged 1500 extra for our 8 year old and were reluctant to give an extra bed.....The place is not worth the money.
- Piyush (10/5): Stay at csmelot - Stayed 3 Nights in Camelot in October.
Excellent location, Very cooperative staff, good rooms
Overall a wonderful stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Stay Ever - Our reservations was wrong, then they charged us 3000 Rs. extra because there were 4 people instead of 2 (no change in room or services tho). The manager said since we are foreigners, we have lots of money and this was not a problem which made me very angry. We did not want buffet dinner, so we were made to eat in our rooms ordering off a limited menu. Food took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it was cold. This place is a waste of time and money. Stay somewhere else. The only positive about this place is the views.
- Anshul (8/5): - Good Resort and exclusive location..... Driving to resort is itself an adventure. Be back in resort before sunset as drving to the resort in night can be difficult. Food is good, resort doesn't promote room services, so room service was not good. Staff is very polite and helpful. Mr. Dilip has been very kind and understanding.
