Guest Reviews
- Wing Chuen Patrick (8/5): -
- FAN KWONG CHARLES (6/5): Bad design of shower area - The hotel is a bit old. One big issue is the shower area, where there was no door so we have to ‘skillfully’ to stand in one angle to avoid the water spreading around the bathroom floor areas. Day shift counter agent was eager to tender help. On second day, we found the door was unable to lock and she arranged the technician to fix it afterwards. The location was Okay to us.
- CHE-CHENG (6/5): - It is a reasonable hotel with the prices
- David (10/5): - Best value in the district. Been staying there for years
- David (10/5): - Best value in Taipei
- Chen (8/5): -
- GENG CHUAN (10/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (8/5): - wifi
- Michael (6/5): - The place is fairly quiet. Staff is methodical sbout cleaning. Front desk was courteous ( big plus). Rooms are fairly big. ( I think its an older hotel). A fridge. Wifi. Electric kettle for boiling water (another big plus). The lighting in the bathroom is dim. Shower is odd, but plenty of hot water. The tub is marble ( I think) very old. I didn't use it. Carpeting as opposed to hard flooring.
- Chien Chou (10/5): -
特別是乾濕分離的淋浴室和大浴缸很加分;
洗沐備品品質份量都好;
- Juuso (10/5): - Very good and clean hotel. Nice surroundings and good connections.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- wen-yuan (10/5): - 沒早餐
- John (6/5): - Internet never worked during five days at hotel, safe broke down (but was promptly fixed), carpets and sofa were in bad condition. Nice area, quiet, and friendly and helpful staff.
- WUN JHE (6/5):
- Yuen Fan (2/5): -
- Ching Nok (8/5): - Nice place but a bit old
- Adam (10/5): - Good location. Large comfortable rooms. Accommodating staff members.
- Yee (4/5): - This place is old, dingy and stinky. I reserved for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night. We got in pretty early about 5am. We were told the earliest we could check-in was 2 pm. We asked if our luggages could be stored there in the meantime if we came back at 2pm. The guy at front desk said sure, but guess what? Luggage storage was literally near the front entrance, where anybody could come in and walk off with our luggage. There is not a separate luggage room or even a curtain that could be drawn to hide the luggages. When we saw this, we couldn’t walk away knowing this. We had to check in instantly in order to put our luggages in a room. Was charged a whole days worth of stay. More than what I paid on Expedia per day. Once we got up to the room, I immediately regretted booking with this place. Again…old, dingy and stinky. Beware!
- David (8/5): - I stay here every time I am in Taipei. It is a 3 star hotel. For value it cant be beat. Surrounding area has everything you need, pay and coin laundries, 7/11, bars, restaurants and MRT Zonghshan station 3 minute walk away. Its on a quiet street. Its a bit worn and does not have breakfast anymore. COVID stopped that service.. If you want new shiny and perfect in Taipei it costs more. The rooms are spacious and clean, everything works and the staff is nice. Thats all I need.
- Maeve (2/5): - This property did not look like the photos - the front face is completely different, and photos likely taken a decade ago (as per type of TV in photos). The room had lots of black room throughout, and when we complained as this is unhealthy they showed us another room with black mould. The manager was very very rude when we asked for a refund given it was unhealthy to stay in and not like it was advertised, and we are still waiting for our agreed refund, with the manager continuing to be rude and unhelpful.
- Hao chi (6/5): - 1、
- Verified traveler (6/5): - 1.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Familytraveller (8/5): - Close to MRT station, easy to find food and convenience store around hotel.
- bobc844 (10/5): Good Hotel. Fantastic staff - The location might not be to everyone's taste but the metro is reasonable walking distance and the neighborhood is lively with plenty to see and do. Also a bank close by that does very reasonable rates for currency exchange. I believe the hotel is classified as a three star by the Taiwan authority. It is certainly at the upper end of the scale. The room (we took the "superior") is a good size. Very clean and well maintained. Decoration is interesting. Beds are sizable, firm and comfortable. WiFi is free and effective. Can't speak of the Aircon as we went in winter and it wasn't required. Breakfast is ok but not remarkable. What sets this hotel apart is the quality of service from the staff. English speaking, diligent, professional, friendly and dealt brilliantly with a couple of minor emergencies we and others experienced. Altogether this made it an excellent place to stay and good value for money. Would happily recommend.
- dominico789 (8/5): Hotel is a bit run down but good service - It might be difficult to find the hotel for the first visit especially in the dark. I took the taxi but the taxi driver could not find the hotel after going around twice. It is located at the inner road and street light was not bright. The hotel is a bit run down but still acceptable. The services at reception desk and breakfast area were very good. There is a cafe belongs to the hotel at the back side facing a main road. The coffee is fine.
- zhaolus (6/5): Residential area - Well, I chose the location as it was close to subway station but It's located in residential area so I felt we checked into someone's home. The lobby is small including a dinning area which is also small. Breakfast is free but few options. The room is old (you have to use key instead of key card) and the carpet is so old that looks dirty. Some curtains are torn in the room and bathtub looks dirty and we didn't dare to use it. Also the Wifi was bad as we could not connect 50% of the time.
The hotel staff were super friendly though.
- WaiOnn123 (6/5): it has all the essentials - The property is 4 mins walk from Zhongshan Elementary mrt (Exit 4), and a short walk to a food street serving local taiwanese food. The room is big, and there is variety in the breakfast. For asians, this is great. The bed is comfortable, and the laundry service is free.
Tip: for quicker access to the hotel from the mrt, you have to walk through the car park (see photo)
- Shams (8/5): - Everything was very good except limited choices for vegetarian breakfast
- Barbara (10/5): - Hotel is generally quite clean, just that floor is abit dirty, curtains dusty and sofa seat has unremovable stain. But other parts of the room is clean and comfortable. Hotel staff service is good and very helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very satisfied with quality of premise, services and close proximity to business, transport and shopping facilities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good standard all-round with friendly reception staff, clean interior surroundings, and sound security.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property maintains high cleanliness standard and ideally located in close proximity of shopping and eateries.
- Joe (8/5): - Great friendly and efficient Front Desk staff
- w1620489 (8/5): Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere. - Excellent for a family of 4 people. The room was spacious, clean, air-conditioned, relaxing with shower and Jacuzzi. The hotel reception was not large but staff were all friendly and very helpful. The buffet breakfast included cannot be faulted - Chinese and western. Location was also good, with a five minute walk to the subway station which was close to many late night restaurants and many all night convenience stores.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice quiet hotel friendly staff clean good hotel for the price
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Dilapidated facility requiring major renovation. Too close to other building with lots of noise
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property is safe, facilities and amenities met my expectations, and friendly and courteous Front Desk staff.
Location is ideal for shopping and eating places.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Taipei 2 days visit - The room is clean and good for the price in Taipei and very convenient to metro to everywhere and foods
- David (10/5): Good value - Although the hotel is a good location but finding the hotel can be a bit of challenges. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is dated. We skipped the complimentary breakfast as it is not appetizing at all. Overall, I think it offers good value for the budget travelers.
- Barnaby (8/5): Nice hotel for business or pleasure - I was on the 6th floor and the room is spacious with a comfortable king size bed, the shower area is really really small but there is bathtub if you don’t want to splash water all over the washroom. Wifi and USB charging port work as expected, CNN and National Geographic are included if you don’t understand all the other TV channels. Breakfast (07:00 - 10:00) are included and definitely will fill you up before you head out, and they do rotate the buffet items. There is a cafe at the back for those who need a cup of espresso, and Mitsui Taipei is just across the road and highly recommended if you like fine Japanese cuisine. MRT (O10) is within walking distance and convenient stores are everywhere.
- Boon Leng (10/5): Super stay, comfortable - The room is spacious with quite good bed. The toilet area is spacious too. Value for money
- LTD (10/5): - Small hotel but very clean. Staff very friendly and speaks good english. Room amenities all free! Love the simple buffet breakfast they serve, its real home cooking. Best of all its walking distance to all transportation options
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This was a good hotel for what we needed. We stayed there with my husband and I and our two teenage boys. It's an older hotel but the bathrooms are updated and very nice. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. My only complaint is that we had a wall size photo of two people kissing on the opposite wall of our bed.
- Glacus Dean (10/5): - Nice place and good location!
- Joseph (10/5): - Room was clean and tidy, and room facilities were very good. Location is also ideal in terms of close proximity to shops, restaurants and entertainment premises.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room facilities adequate, and room is spacious and furniture comfortable enough.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel staff were very nice and hotel had a lot of restuarants in walking distance. Room was very spacious with a big bathroom. Bed was massive but on the stiff side.
- JOSEPH R. (2/5): - Although the staff was courteous and friendly, the hotel has not been maintained and the mold affected me greatly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff are friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Location is good, close to metro.
- Rahul (8/5): Great place to stay with family - We arrived on a long 14 hour flight arriving 8 am at the hotel from the airport. The lady at front desk was quite efficient, check-in was a breeze. However they do not do early check-in so we got our room only in the afternoon.
We asked the staff to keep our luggage in the meanwhile while we visit a few spots in the city, however they do not really have a cloak room, rather a small luggage hold are in front of the elevator which does not feel safe. The girl at the counter was gracious enough to let us keep a couple of our bags behind the front desk for security.
The rooms we got were clean, well managed and quite large:2 king beds, jacuzzi, shower for our family of 4.The only drawback is that the rooms don't have heaters, and our stay was during the winter month, we did have to manage with the chilly conditions in the room
Breakfast in the place is high quality mix of continental and Chinese cuisine. Even though we are vegetarians we found enough variety of yummy local dishes to try every day.
A big added bonus: the staff takes care your laundry needs without any extra charge, a great perk for families with young kids !
Overall, a great hotel with excellent service in a good location. The notable drawbacks for us were lack of proper baggage hold area, no red eye checkin, and lack of heating in winter months.
We'd definitely come to the hotel again in the summer months.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great value. Large room. Comfortable and clean. Everything else you need is close by.
- Nicole (10/5): - Very nice hotel located near an MRT and several bus stops. Staff is friendly and helpful, and largely bilingual! I was able to check out 2 hours late with short notice (asked at 4am). Breakfast was good - mix of Taiwanese and Western foods. The bed was large and comfortable and the blackout curtains actually keep all the light out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A bit disappointed when I entered the room. It looks old and the shower space is very small. I feel it's not worth what I paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent! - It was amazing. I love the big room with shower stand and jacuzzi. The service team were outstanding, friendly, helpful and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay indeed!
- Christopher (10/5): Great Location! - Very welcoming! Spacious, and comfortable! Highly recommended for your stay in Taipei.
- kimmisiee (6/5): Very nice hotel but I won't book again. - Our booking was from 30th Dec 2017 to 2nd Jan 2018. We booked 4 rooms with them. The hotel is excellently furnished. Rooms are clean and very spacious even with additional bed. The breakfast was delicious and the chef was very friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was good. It was easy to take cabs and there were many convenience stores around. The night market was also nearby and it has some very good food. The free laundry service was also a win for me.
My only problem was this hotel did not honour my booking. We booked via a third party for the rooms months ago and the hotel confirmed my booking 2 weeks before we were due. 5 days before we were due, we sent in a special request which the hotel replied and acknowledged via the booking agent. However, when we arrived on the day itself, the hotel promptly informed us that they canceled my booking 2 weeks ago (due to some card issues which they did verify my card and confirmed my booking 2 weeks ago) I did not receive any cancellation notification from anybody and the management told me that is between the booking agent and me and that I was to take it up with the agent. (rest assured. I did.) After some discussion, they informed us that they could squeeze out 4 rooms for us at a higher rate since it was New Year Eve. And it was super peak season, we were left with little choices since we had 13 pax and needed 4 rooms, we took up their offer. After settling everyone, I then realised I did receive a cancellation email, dated 30th Dec at 9+++ am, 5 hours before we were supposed to check in. We called the 3rd party agent and they confirmed that the cancellation was only done that morning. And since we didn't make our first booking directly with the hotel, there was nothing much we can do there and then. We could only take it up with our agent.
It is a shame that this happened because I enjoyed my stay at Lotty. However, such dishonesty is unacceptable, therefore I will not book with this hotel again.
- Annieloh21 (10/5): Excellent Service & Convenient Location - Our family stayed in the hotel for 10 days. The hotel is excellent for families as the room is big with 2 super king bed and a jacuzzi bath. Although is a little old but most important is clean and convenient.
The hotel location is good, only 5 min walk to MRT and a mini night food market. There are many restaurants, mini mart and shops around.
I am very impressed with all the staff as their service are excellent. Especially the staffs at the mini restaurant as they are very observance to their guest need. Personally I like their breakfast, is more of family style, for those that want to have local home cook food.
- Joshua (10/5): A great little hotel in Taipei. - Although we live in Taipei, we needed to take a few days out to edit a travel book in an air conditioned room. This place was perfect!
- 760happyp (8/5): Cozy, elegant and functional room, but no waiting area in the lobby - All are good, except there's no waiting area in the lobby.
Large and functional room.
Good breakfast, especially boiled rice with sweet potato.
Nice and friendly staff.
Not far from transportation both bus and train.
Also in food area.
- Riki (2/5): very disappointing - hotel looks nothing like the picture... furniture, carpets and facilities in general are very old and in very bad condition. over all atmosphere is somewhat "cheap"...
will definitely not stay there again...
- Cindy (8/5): Family stayed 4 nights in Taipei - Hotel Staff was helpful whenever I needed info on how use the subway to go to places or calling a cab. They were always eager to assist. Laundry service was free. The breakfast was OK. A low-keyed hotel on a quieter street. Night market two blocks away, terrific Taiwanese breakfast place 1/2 block away. The subway is just a couple of blocks away so, not a problem. Overall this is not a grand hotel, and due to the building's age, I would not stay there again--even with the good service.
- Laura (8/5): 72 Hours in Taipei - The hotel is in a non tourists area but an 8 minute walk from the Metro which gives you access to the whole city. While the area appeared to be run down several high restaurants are located around the hotel (didn't try them) as well as 7 Elevens and Family marts if you want to grab food on the go. Breakfast was great as was the service. Umbrellas were available to borrow as well. There was an English speaking staff member available to help us with check in and hotel provided metro map and noted points on interest with directions on how to get to them.
- Rickyfox47 (6/5): Big rooms and good value for money but overall hotel mood is a bit depressing. - First impression of the Hotel is not great. The neighborhood is a bit run down , the entrance is not really the one you would expect from a Hotel, the lobby is smaller than your room and the staff greetings is not very warm. Having said that the room was huge, for a family of 4, with two huge ( the biggest I have ever seen ) double beds. The room was at the same time fancy ( with some glowing fish drawings on the ceiling0 and a Iacuzzi tab in the bathroom ) and a bit gloomy ( as the ceiling itself was very low and the windows where having a view on the next building which was probably only 4 meters away) . The breakfast is basic and the Hotel is walking distance from a subway station. Overall for Taipei I guess it is good value for money
- Larry007_007 (8/5): Slightly above average - My wife and I needed to stay in Taipei for one night and were looking for a hotel in this section of town. The hotel was fine and I would stay again.
Highlights
- Close to an MRT station (Zhongshan Elementary)
- Bed was very nice, room is clean. Overall room above average.
- Having a bathtub was very nice.
Lowlights
- Room cost higher than average.
With that said, we missed breakfast because we did not get up in time.
- CTSL (6/5): Well.... guess it was ok...I guess. - Based on the relatively good reviews, we decided to stay here for 4 nights in total at the start and end of our close to 2 week holiday. My criteria for selecting a hotel are based on its location, price, wifi availability and if breakfast is provided (to a lesser degree). All 5 of us found the staff during breakfast extremely friendly and helpful and the food was great and tasty, I especially loved the porridge. The rooms themselves were spacious and had a sitting tub for soaking. What I liked though was that there was good wifi throughout the hotel which was immensely useful for us to plan our trip and communicate with others.
The main problems I encountered were:
- there's no shower door in the "cubicle" so water splashes all over the floor when one showers. I honestly still can't figure why a door is deemed unnecessary
- there are no hooks in the bathroom to hang bath towels nor clothes. So you need to pile them on top of the toilet bowl cover or in the drawers under the sink. Or balance them on the side of the sink or the sitting tub. Whichever way, they'd get wet. Another perplexing mystery. Especially when one realises that of the other 6 hotels we stayed in Taiwan, 5 didn't have hooks either!
- with our phones, tablet, power banks, etc to charge, it was not as easy as it could have been if there was a proper table with power points available. Good thing we could charge some using the USB ports next to the bedside but as it's not with the rest by the kettle, it was easy to overlook packing those cables by the bedside.
- even though we requested to have a triple room and double room adjacent or on the same floor, both times we were split up so it was not so convenient for the kids.
- AliceL89 (10/5): Wonderful Stay in Boutique Hotel - My friends and I stayed at the Lotty during our trip in Taipei for a week. The hotel is a very quiet & quaint boutique hotel. I loved the free breakfast & laundry. The rooms were always cleaned when requested. Free bottled water daily. Staff was always courteous and helpful. Also had amazing coffee at Lotty Cafe next door! About a 5 minute walk to subway station.
- MelissT (6/5): Huge room - The room was huge with an equally huge toilet.
I asked for a non-smoking room but we saw cigarette burns everywhere in the room.
The hotel is a bit old and I think some refurbishment would be good. The carpets were stained and a lot of cigarette burns even on the coffee table.
There was surprisingly not much smell though.
The proximity was good, very accessible.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good.
- KR46 (8/5): Good place to stay. - Quiet, cool and comfortable hotel off a side road in a good, busy section of Taipei. One can pay more for newer
and bigger and fancier, but this hotel met all my needs. The complimentary breakfast from 7-10 daily
was varied and good. Both Chinese and Western items, and decent variation each day. I learned to delay my
meal a bit, as there's a pretty good rush in the first hour, and the dining area isn't huge. Overall, all the help in the hotel could not be friendlier nor more helpful. Vey nice staff. Even will do laundry for free. Daily free water in the room. Since the hotel is not large (tho it does have 7 or 8 floors), there is not seating in the lobby, but rather, around a partition in the dining area, where I believe you can get complementary coffee, or tea all day. Nice place, good people, no complaints!
- Abraham (10/5): An American liked it - It had a nice, deep bathtube, big TV, Comfy bed, free coke and Taiwan Gatorade, and big room. The view outside was a road and tall buildings. Breakfast is a buffet so you will fill up. There's also "p o r n" channels
- Shannan (10/5): Great stay - Nice and friendly staffs, nice and big room and bathroom. Love it.
- Karen (4/5): Great staff, terrible room. - The staff is extremely polite, friendly and quick to respond to request; however the room smelled terrible and the decor looks like it's meant to rent by the hours.
They did take some extra steps to rid of the cigarette smell in the room but it's in bedded in the carpet, furniture and bed spread. It smelled so bad, my mother had to take a nap at my brother's place located just across from the hotel.
A/C was not working very well, the control didn't do any good.
Water pressure in the shower was great.
Breakfast was bad and too expensive. for the amount of money charged for that breakfast, one could have got a lot more elsewhere.
- Belle (10/5): Good hotel with excellent staffs - Staffs are warm and welcoming. They will not hestitate to help. Breakfast menu may be limited but overall experience with this hotel is very good.
- Wendy (10/5): Great Hotel! - We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The staff there were very polite and helpful. We stayed in the Deluxe double bedroom, and the room was huge! Better than what we expected. The hotel is located on a side street, so it's a little difficult to find. But we were able to figure out our way around, so we were ok after the second day. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back if we visit Taipei again.
- Diviva (10/5): Do not judge this hotel by its facade - The room I have gotten is the Double Deluxe room, it has a total area of 36 Sq M. Upon entering the room, I was greeted by a small area for one to put on their shoes, a small latch for one to sit on while putting on their shoes also doubles up for one to stow their luggage. On the wall above this latch are some hook with 4 hangars. These latches is where one can hang their clothings. There are no wardrobes in the room, which makes these hooks the only area where one can hang their clothing. There is another door that leads into the room itself.
Entering the doorway opens up to a very spacious room, the decor of the room is a little dated however some has some sense of cosiness in it. Opposite the second door is a large 2-seater couch, nicely tucked into a corner of the room. The couch is capable of sitting 3 mid-size people comfortably. A coffee table can be found in front of the couch. One can find a study table beside the couch. Turning right into the room when passing the second door, one can find a queen size bed. The bed is very comfortable and provided quality of sleep that allows me to rest very well throughout the night. However the pillows are a tad too soft for my liking. There are however huge cushions on the bed that gives extra support for those who prefer firmer pillows. Right in front of the bed is an ottoman, which provided extra space to stow one's luggage. Opposite the queen bed is a dresser, which one can put away one's clothing. The 42 in LED TV is located on tope of the dresser, which provided up to 98 channels for guests to watch whilst in the room. There are the standard bedside tables on either side of the bed. The more interesting feature in the room is the mural painted on the ceiling right above the bed. The hotel utilises the oval hollow feature on the ceiling, and painted underwater scenes, which glows in the dark! Right next to the door is where one can find another cabinet where the minibar is nicely tucked away. This is also where one can find the kettle and the fridge. Despite being a 3-star hotel, the hotel provides complementary can drinks (Coke and mineral water), as well as coffee and tea and some small snacks. These complementary items are topped up every day without fail. The hotel even provides reliable complementary wifi, which are chargeable in some 5-star hotels.
Separated by a curtain (yeah that is right, a curtain and not a door) next to the bed is where the bathroom is located. Located to the right of the entrance of the bathroom, half of this space is taken up by a huge jacuzzi tub. The tub is functioning well (something that I would not expect to be found in a 3-star hotel) and soaking in is very refreshing. Beside the tub, in front of the entrance to the bathroom is where one can find the sink on a counter top. The hotel provides full bath amenities including toothbrush set and comb. The bathroom also has a walk in shower area, however only regular shower head can be found. Guests can be assured of having a great hot water shower as it hot water is functioning very well in this room. The walk in shower, however lacks space to put your bath amenities in. The toilet bowl is located next to the walk in shower. There is a small "garden"of some sorts between the bathroom and the sleeping area.
The room overall is functional and the owners took the effort to spruce it up with a sense of cosiness. This is largely attributed to the soft orange lighting that the hotel chose. The location of the powerpoint outlets are however located in weird corners of the room, which takes some time to locate.
Despite being a 3-star hotel, the service in the hotel is impeccable and is better than some 5-star hotels. The excellent service started within an hour of booking the hotel even via a third party website. After booking, I received an email from the hotel confirming my booking and giving directions on how to get to the hotel via airport bus. Such a gesture is very thoughtful and is not being accorded even in some 5-star hotels. Since the time I booked the hotel and my arrival, there has been some arrangements that I contacted the hotel. Everytime Lotty Hotel took less than 1 hour to respond to my requests.
The staffs in the hotel delivers great service. They are attentive to details and very welcoming. Whenever we walked pass the reception, despite being seated and presumably busy with their work, the staffs will always leave what they are doing and stood up to greet me, asking how was my day and such. The reception staffs are also very responsive. I once complaint the air-conditioning seem to be out of order, within minutes, the staffs got someone to rectify it and even provided me with updates once it was being done. The warmth of the staffs are also apparent whenever we approached them to ask for directions, they are always generous in giving information and recommendations.
The official breakfast time for the hotel is from 7am to 10am. There was a day where we were down late (at around 10.15am), we originally wanted to head out for breakfast, seeing that there are still some activities in the dinning room, we popped by and checked if there are still breakfast available. The staffs at the dinning room, despite starting to clear, the staffs stopped clearing the food and started to serve us food. They even apologise for the lack of variety, instead of turning us down. They even wanted to get the chef to refire the kitchen to cook us some more food. Most hotels, even those 5-star ones would have turned us down.
The housekeeping staffs are also very friendly and responsible. They would diligently clean up our room each day without fail and without lack of standard. They will always smile and greet us whenever we bumped into them along the corridor in the mornings as we were leaving the hotel.
The hotel does look run down from its facade on the main street, however once entering the hotel entrance it does open up one to surprises. Despite being a 3-star hotel, the basic facilities are well maintained. What surprises me more is the service, one is assured of receiving service that is comparable or even better than what one can find in some 5-star hotels. The staffs provided warmth service and gave me a sense of familiarity when interacting with the staffs. The staffs took care of their guests very well and are not stingy in providing greetings and information that are valuable. I would recommend one to consider this hotel when visiting Taipei.
- TheChen (10/5): Spacious room and great service - I've stayed at Taipei Lotty Hotel a few times since I been visiting Taipei in the past few years. The rooms are very large. The bed is very comfortable. I think the bed got larger on my recent stay there in April 2015. The rooms are also very clean.
I'm particularly fond of their service. The front desk staff are very attentive and good at directing me where I need to go. This hotel also service Taiwanese breakfast. Everyone at their hotel is very friendly.
I also like staying here because it's near a MRT station. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, and museums nearby. If you don't like dealing with massive crowds at some of the popular night-markets in Taipei, there is one nearby Taipei Lotty Hotel that has some of the most amazing local foods. It's a short 5 minute walk from the hotel.
I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taipei.
