• Marta (10/5): I loved it. - After arrival I got a flower necklace, ice cold water per my request and a welcome drink – freshly squeezed pineapple juice. The stuff was lovely, the room clean, and the views! Oh, the views! Such a beautiful place to experience Udaipur. The only thing I noticed is that the restaurant is occupied by people greedy to take thousands of pictures in the beautiful loggias. But I think it’s not about the place itself, but about the times we live in. I wish they would just enjoy their meal and their views with the occasional one or two pictures, instead of whole photoshoots.

Tutto bellissimo, solo un consiglio il ristorante con le belle finestre sul lago è usato anche da esterni che con un solo drink vagano facendosi mille foto quindi il pomeriggio il ristorante risulta un po caotico, perfetto invece a colazione e cena

• jeremymmt (8/5): Excellent apart from the open access granted to the "selfie" crowds - Fantastic location The real downside was the open access granted by the hotel to anyone who wanted to walk in and take photographs. This led to swarms of tourists crowding the guest areas and taking selfies, regardless of whether or not they were ordering food or drinks.
• janet (10/5): Great location in old udaipur especially if you want to join in Holi - The view was incredible. You don't have to go on a boat trip to see sunset just reserve a table at the rooftop restaurant. The staff were so helpful. The pool area could have done with some umbrella .

• Shishir (9/5): Highly recommended for a stay with a traditional vibe !! - A beautiful and elegantly designed property along Lake Pichola with clean, comfortable rooms, very polite and helpful staff, lovely lake-facing restaurants, and a must-do boat ride from Dudh Talai. Highly recommended even for a night in Udaipur. Access can be a bit tricky due to the location but the hotel arranges everything properly for the guests

• Megha (8/5): - The location is excellent. It’s in the old city and on the lake. The view from the rooftop is great in the day and at night. It’s an Instagram perfect hotel. People come from all over just to take pictures here. The local food is excellent. I would recommend that over trying different cuisines. Food isn’t available at all times. The restaurants have specific timings for certain items.
• Christine (10/5): Well worth a stay here! - Beautiful hotel right on the Lake with excellent views - very comfortable with an excellent breakfast included in our rate. An early start on leaving say we were unexpectedly given a breakfast bag which was a very kind gesture. We were unaware that no traffic is allowed in the area and that we had to call for a Tuk Tuk to collect us - this worked well once we were aware. Also owing to its location the hotel is overrun by people taking ohotos for social media which was quite intrusive out side the bedroom.
• William (9/5): A stunning lakeside location for this heritage hotel. - Arrival by water taxi was unexpected and enjoyable. This attractive heritage property was located in a perfect area with great views over the lake. A stunning lake backdrop. The restaurant was reasonably good and OK value for money. The hotel is open to the public and was regularly used as a photo opportunity as it overlooked the lake. This was a bit annoying after a time and made the hotel quite busy and less relaxing. The room did not have a lake view, which we knew in advance, but the window overlooked the restaurant and central courtyard.

• Ersa (7/5): Grosse déception, l’endroit semblait avoir tout pour plaire, il ne faut pas y regarder de trop près. - Le petit dej et la restauration de qualité depuis le rooftop avec vue lac… C’est malheureusement tout ce qu’il y a à sauver! Le reste est calamiteux Le bruit!!!! En Inde cela semble être une constante, mais là on bat des records. On entend le moindre bruit extérieur, gros souci d’insonorisation. Les chambres standard sont petites et sans fenêtres. Le mobilier n’est plus de toute première fraîcheur. L’eau chaude dure 2/3 min max. Les parties communes sont agréables malgré quelques fautes de goût ( fausse pelouse au sol). L’hygiène laisse à désirer par endroits.

• Joy (10/5): It was a great vacation because of the hotel. - Room and food were excellent, service warm and friendly, ambience like we expected, location, views… Nothing.
• Maggie (2/5): Very poor - Beautiful setting with great views over Lake Pichola Although our room was a whole floor from restaurant level, the noise from people moving chairs in the restaurant was unbearable. So loud. The hotel obviously knew this was a problem but pretended they didn’t know! The room above us was closed - slight give away! The hotel manager wasn’t sympathetic at all and tried to avoid addressing or admitting to the issue. Although the venue is beautiful, the experience for residents is spoiled by there constantly being pre wedding photos taken from early morning to evening. The couples and the cameras are constantly in the way. We heard the hotel gets paid handsomely for this so they’re obviously not interested in stopping it. The room was very tired and needed updating. The bathroom was particularly old and tired. Photos below. The sheets on the bed were yellowish. Not crisp and white at all. The chairs in the breakfast restaurant were very stained and breakfast was very under par. Not much choice at all.

With the high tariff need privacy/comfort like five star hotels. Don’t make money giving access to digital influencers and cafe/common areas to youngsters for photos. It’s a chaos!

The entire property is not that big, so it's always public. The tours or taxi arranged by the place next door, no extra service but 3-4x the price.

• Ranjit (8/5): Disappointing experience with Eeshwar Singh - reception manager - Location and the hotel Hotel didn't provide breakfast for us on 22/12/2025. We checked out at 7.30am to catch our flight but the breakfast was not ready as per the advertised restaurant timings by 7.00 am. We did inform prior about our departure. We requested for few takeaway brekki boxes. Restaurant staff checked with reception manager - Eeshwar Singh but he denied packing breakfast for us. When i queried Eeshwar Singh he lied to us and mentioned the breakfast timings are from 7.30am. We had few kids in the booking and they went hungry until lunch time as the airport didn't had any restaurants. It was a very disappointing experience with Eashwar Singh as he was quite rude with us.

Neat as expected Staff especially the one’s serving at the rooftop restaurant needs to be showing more warmth and hospitality. Seems they are more concerned and attentive to European guests than Indians. For ex. You have to ask staff pls serve drinking water, pls take our order.

• Constance (8/5): - The view and the restaurant are amazing. Our room was lovely too, although the bathroom wasn’t very clean. A lot of people come in and out to take photos and the common areas get really busy with groups who are not staying there. The massage experience was very strange, the quality wasn’t great, it feels like they are calling random people they know to do it. It was a couples 20min massage but as a female it was uncomfortable to be uncovered with a male masseuse in the room.

The staff was exceptional and very very helpful, never saw any of them without warm smile and greeting. The management was really upto the mark. They went out of the way for making our stay most memorable. The property was amazing with mind blowing view and inside the hotel it was clean, beautiful. Food was yummy, fresh and authentic. When we were there,the rooftop restaurant was very busy, and we had planned our daughter's birthday celebration, eventhough They were short staffed and were struggling with all the orders and managing tables but never missed a chance to make our celebration special. It was great experience and will highly recommend. We understand the old city location issue but to and fro transportation is a bit of hassle. A bit more of Breakfast options can be added.

Aber vieles zu bemängeln - Die Unterkunft ist in Ordnung Ständige nichthausgäste die für Fotos und Videos die Gänge blockieren und bis Nachts für einen unangenehmen Geräuschpegel sorgen. Außerdem sollte das Hotel darauf hinweisen, dass ein Auto nicht bis zum Hotel fahren kann und Gäste und Gepäck einige hundert Meter selbst in ein Kleines tuk tuk umsteigen müssen. Mit Gepäck benötigt man dann sogar 2 kleine Roller.

• dominique (9/5): Une adresse exceptionnelle à Udaipur ! - Excellente prestation avec un hôtel haut de gamme. Une chambre de rêve avec vue sur le lac en RDC. Superbe salle de restauration et de petit déjeuner avec un service impeccable ! Excellente qualité des plats et de la cuisine oroposé Au départ la chambre qui m a été affecté et proposé était à côté de la cuisine et en face de la salle de restauration . Le bruit y était forcément présent. Heureusement que l accueil a trouvé finalement une solution acceptable.

• Maria (5/5): It’s a beautiful place but managed carelessly - The hotel is truly beautiful with charming architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great lake view. The food at the restaurant was generally tasty and being in the hotel felt pleasant. The overall management needs improvement. The restaurant staff are kind but poorly trained - forgetting cutlery, bringing tea without a saucer and often running out of basic items like glasses or napkins. I was twice asked to show my room key during breakfast to prove I was a guest, which felt awkward. Most disappointing was the constant flow of outside visitors entering the hotel just to take photos, sometimes just right outside our room door. It created a lot of mess and made the place feel more like a public spot than a safe and quiet hotel which shows complete disrespect to paying guests.

• jerome (8/5): Un peu cher pour la prestation fournie - Le cadre et la beauté des lieux, le personnel très aimable Le restaurant : carte très fournie mais tout n’est pas dispo. Le vin commandé était chaud ! Pas de café au petit déjeuner la machine était en pane. Le wifi ne fonctionne pas.

• Siddhartha (8/5): Lovely Udaipur palace style haveli - Beautifully located by the side of Lake Pichola on Lal Ghat. It is a superbly maintained haveli. The people are very courteous, polite & efficient. The food is excellent. The approach is through narrow by lanes & property can be accessed by autos/tuktuks from the local parking or else by boat from another ghat..
• Alan (6/5): Disappointing overrun by insta people non resident brides & grooms. - This is an Instagram Hotel and is overrun by photographers wedding Gas brides and groom taking photographs while you’re having breakfast trying to get to your room or enjoying the facilities. This is an basically an instagram Hotel and is overrun by photographers wedding guests brides and grooms taking photographs while you’re having breakfast, sitting at tables, in your way trying to get to your room or enjoying the facilities yet not staying at hotel . Given the worst room at entrance to hotel ( yet paid non Indian higher prices) no natural light, loud guests shouting hitting the walls and noisy near lift , broken sink bowl, frequent black outs ( to be fair the surrounding properties too but most had generators). Changed 2nd day but was near breakfast and evening dinning areas so more noise Not a swim Pool but a plunge pool with space for two beds only. Used to hawkers but serious hassle with sellers outside the hotel. May be we were spoilt by far superior but less expensive hotels in Jodhpur Delhi and Jaipur.
