Thomas (6/5): Dirty, needs cleaning. Room comfortable. - Pool looks dirty. Wife did not want to swim due to black stuff on pool walls. She said pool railing was very loose. The American flag is tattered and should be replaced. Carpets are very dirty and need a good cleaning. The room was in better shape and comfortable. No ice bucket. There are plenty of other hotels around that I will stay at next time.

There was a lady our last two mornings that had a nasty attitude and never smiled. The chest of draws would not stay closed. They opened all the time on their own. Water pressure in shower is no good and it takes forever to get hot at room 518

Brenda (8/5): Frustrating checkin - The staff the next day were very helpful finding my pillow. I had left it in the room. They had already stripped the bed and taken the pillowcase off and putting my pillow in a drawer in the room 😒 We booked the room on booking.com, the man at the desk couldn't see our reservation. Just kept talking about how 3rd party companies are all terrible. In the mean time he paused us and booked another couple in an available room. I even questioned him about not giving our room away, we needed one, he said he had 4. Then he tried looking for our reservation again, still not finding anything, told us we needed contact booking.com, which all of the reservation puts you back at the hotel. So finally we were like, just give us a room and we will figure out the booking.com later. But now he has no rooms. Really frustrating, since he paused our check in process to book another couple. So we finally leave to go find another hotel. We hadn't gotten out of the area before he called and said he now had the reservation. Very frustrating at 9:00 pm, when you secured a room before leaving the previous town that had no vacancies.
dt12078 (2/5): BAD SERVICE AND HOTEL AND MANAGEMENT - I stayed at Home2 Hilton at Oxford Alabama , for 6 days. I was charged close to 150 per night. and They never cleaned the room or even ask for the room to be cleaned. Never changed the bed sheets and the Representative at desk was very unprofessional, roude, and never says good morning or good evening -- no grating to the customers. When I complained about it then he became hostile ( name of desk clerk - Drew ) and when I asked to speak to the manager , he said he will not call manager or He/She is not available. Then he threatened me, he will call police and he did call police. Finally I got the manager name and phone number Amber Montgomery ( 205 -753-9581) and left voice and text message -- never got the reply . VERY BAD MANNERS AND VERY BAD HOSPITALITY ... DON'T GO/STAY THERE. DILIP

Verified traveler (8/5): A Mix - This hotel was a mixed bag. Staff was friendly and evening staff was especially engaged. There apparently were computer problems and our room was assigned to someone else before we even checked out. The room was spacious and the kitchen, dishes, etc. nice. The room was reasonably clean but definitely not spotless. The breakfast sounded good but though I arrived 10 minutes before they closed there was not much other than oranges and bread left to eat.

Mitzi (10/5): Very nice. - The room was big and comfortable. The bed was cozy. The bathroom was clean and spacious. We were not made aware that there would be a $50.00 charge for having a pet. We had stayed at other Home to Suites and they did not charge us extra for having a pet.
Richard (4/5): Very uncomfortable and disapointing. - Well, I booked a room with a king-size bed and was given a room with a queen bed. It was not very comfortable to sleep with my wife and I.
Ivan (3/5): Don't go - Didn't like anything. There was no towels , the stove top had to change out . First one didn't work. Ice mech was out of order, had to go to different floor for ice . Plus there where no ice bucket, the folk ,spoon, and utensils where dirty , had no pots or pans . Then I ask employee to tell me witch way to go and no body could tell me directions. Then to top that's the pool water was green. Then I had to pay to wash my clothes , other place are free wash and dry since I was resident .
Ted (4/5): Bugs in rooms! - A pool was listed as an amenity, however we discovered the pool was closed indefinitely once we arrived on property. My room was pleasant up until I discovered a cockroach in the kitchen area. The staff was very friendly and I have no complaints other than those listed above. I was able to cancel the remainder of my stay.
U9213AYalane (4/5): Worst run hotel that I have experienced - What a dreadful hotel this is. From the broken facilities to the filthy rooms this place is run very poorly. There are friendly employees and it is a great brand in a fine location. But the leadership should go. The shower hilariously was stocked with lotion in the wall mounted pump. When I called to ask why I was told they were out of shampoo. Mind you, this property is surrounded by sister brands where shampoo could be borrowed from or purchased. But instead they stocked the shower with lotion (also available on the bathroom vanity next to two hair conditioners.). The scale on the shower and dirt rubbed into the floor made waiting for the slowest arriving hot water even harder. I can’t say anything good about the bathroom. The pool is closed on a holiday weekend for cleaning. But trust me, any evidence of cleaning is absent. It was a murky green mess on a weekend with temps in the mid 90s. Really could have used a pool… The breakfast area is super sparse except for a shared waffle maker and literally loaves of bread and multi packs of bagels. There were hot breakfasts of microwaved bowls of what I assumed were once potatoes and a bit of fake eggs. And next to the well Stocked condiments for the missing oatmeal was a sign blaming poor ordering for the lack of cereal. The fitness center floors were festooned with soiled towels, the TV in that room didn’t work (an act of pure optimism on my part to even try to watch). And the adjoining laundry room was filled with overflowing trash cans and every missing sock in the state of Alabama, all laying on a random set of metro shelving. I will never stop telling my family members in the area about how awful this place is. If the Hilton company had any pride left at all they would take this property from the franchisees or debrand it immediately.
Hammock (1/5): This was the worst hotel experience of our lives. - Our experience was the worst I’ve had at any hotel in my life. On the first night of our stay, my children turned on the TV to immediately see graphic, full nudity pornography in our hotel room. When I brought it to the attention of our hotel manager, I was told she would add points to our account and the issue would be resolved that day while we were out. She explained that the hotel TVs had recently been reprogrammed and that was likely the cause. She would follow up with a call to confirm. I offered her photos and video of what was on the TV and she was appalled. I received no call and followed up myself with the desk. I was told it was not resolved. I gave instruction again on where the channel was located in order for them to find it easily. It was within the regular channel line up just down from MSNBC and included video I had taken of not only the pornography itself but changing channels to make it easy for them to find. I followed up yet again with the desk and again was told it was not resolved. To summarize the conversation, I was asked if housekeeping had been in my room. It is disturbing that it would be suggested that housekeeping would put pornography on a guest room TV. I questioned that, but also why would it be available in the first place as a regular channel in the line up. He told me I leave if I did not like it. I replied that I would leave if I could find another room, which he replied that would be fine and he would ensure I was charged for the night. I called Hilton Honors and an escalation was filed to request a refund of our stay, due to the egregiousness of the situation, no resolution by the hotel. I shared photos and video of what was on our TV in all its obscenity. I was told that someone would follow up with me in 48 hours. No one has followed up with me. I called this evening and was told Hilton would like to apologize for the inconvenience and issue a free night stay.

Antwan (4/5): Disappointing - It was next to family The room was not in the best condition. The lamp shade looked as if someone pissed on it, plus it was busted. The shades did not go up and down for sunlight. It took too too long for the water to become hot. When calling to complain about the room, that's when we were notified that the building was under renovation. And last the next morning we were told that the manager would contact me about discounting my room but never called.

Our room was a 1st-floor handicap room with a large bathroom, a separate large bedroom with a queen bed, TV, blackout blinds, and large main room sitting room with pullout couch, large TV, table and chairs with kitchenette (large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, sink with disposal, microwave, and plates and utensils for cooking.

Day 1 I spoke with the manager because I called before coming and asked if there was a wall between bed and sofa and they said yes. When I arrived, they had a curtain. There was a big roach in the room upon arrival. There was no blanket, and they used a bed skirt for the blanket. I was very disappointed with this hotel. It was very outdated. I have stayed at several Home2 Suites in different states and it was up to date and immaculate. My stay was very uncomfortable. The shades wouldn't go up and the dull lighting kept the room dark. The sofa looks too old and dirty to sit on.

Jdog4poo (2/5): Not Hilton Standards - This hotel is way overpriced and should not be a Hilton hotel based off how old and tore up it is. The bathroom was old, pocket door didn’t work without pulling it really hard, there was mold in the bathroom, the ceiling was spray painted to hide whatever was stained on the ceiling. Not a great hotel to stay at. Buyers beware if you are use to clean Hilton hotels.

I was very impressed with the front desk staff (Kat) and the room was perfect! we loved the kitchenette! so nice to have coffee in a real cup and real plates and silverware for meals. Five star hotel because of her! the breakfast was awesome as well. The ladies try their best to make it as good as possible. I recommend this place because of the employees. They even make cookies for everyone to eat. I've stayed a million places because of softball and some are nicer than this one but the experience is so good because of how they take care of you.

katiefT2322AU (10/5): Complementary homemade breakfast with love - Completely unexpected stay and last minute booking - and one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. I never write hotel reviews. but I knew this one was worth it. I'm usually not comfortable staying in a hotel alone as a single female, but the person who helped me check in later at night created the most hospitable environment with a huge smile. The shower was lovely, the bed was fluffy and I slept like a baby. The room was incredibly clean! And then the next morning...breakfast was...AMAZING. A homemade casserole and monkey bread, with real scrambled eggs and (as a diner coffee connoisseur) amazing breakfast coffee. I am SO impressed.

tonya (2/5): - Our room was horrible. The room smelled like a dirty mop had been used while "cleaning". The shades at all 3 windows were broken and would not go all the way down. Light from neighboring businesses came in all night. The wallpaper was coming off the walls in the bathroom. The towels were paper thin. The refrigerator had hair in it (it obviously had not been wiped out). The foyer light would not go off at all. The tv remote only worked when standing in front of the tv (not from the bed).
Jackie (8/5): - Breakfast items were not replenished. Members of our party had to ask to have coffee, juice, and waffle batter refilled. Someone else had to ask for grapes to be replenished. Attendant was seated at a table talking to guests.

skydiverbrian (10/5): reliable Hilton product - This hotel is tucked onto a crowded 2-block area with many other mid-level hotels, and delivers reliable Hilton-quality service and accommodations. The quality of service received varies by individual employee - some are minimum Hilton standard, and others really excel. Rooms are spacious and clean, very comfortable beds & linens. The rooms are quiet, and the a/c will blow refrigerator-level if you want it to, which is nice for those who need a cool environment for good sleep. Parking is plentiful, and even if you have to park around the side or back of building, there's plenty of entrances that are still convenient to the elevator. Housekeeping is still COVID-restricted, and I found myself making trips to the front desk to replenish the in-room coffee. Overall, it's a decent facility and delivers on Hilton standards.

tobyb2013 (4/5): Fire Alarm Follies - off let me say myself and my wife are long time Hilton member. I usually let my wife book my hotel with her account but I decided to do so myself this time and figured since the town where I was going had a Home 2 Suites it was a win, win situation. I get there the front desk person was very friendly and helpful to my needs so I figured this three day stay will be great. It was a government work visit so I was hoping it would be seamless, well on my first night June 21, 2022 @ 0235 the buildings smoke alarm started going off to my disbelief. I immediately threw on so clothes then call the front desk after looking out the door and out the window and seeing no one. I ask the clerk is this real and do I need to get out he replies yes. i make a mad dash down the hall to the stairs down five flight of stairs wait outside in the HEAT only to continue to see no one come out. I'm now puzzled , after about ten minutes or so I walk back in to see the clerk flustered saying to a young lady he hates when this happed cause it happed before for no reason. In closing i'm not very happy with the outcome or how it was handled I had to be on base at 0600 for a meeting and could not go back to sleep after all that happed. I may need to put this particular establishment on the radar for government and military personnel not to be used any longer.
realuncljony (10/5): Pleasant place to stay - Pleasant Hilton property that gives Government Rate. Hilton property next door doesn't. Rooms clean and evening desk folks are pleasant. Close to stores and many restaurants - some within walking distance.
Verified traveler (6/5): Not up to par with their other locations - I would really like to give a good review be because i like the Home2 brand. All other locations gave been fresh, modern and clean. However, i believe this location was converted from and older hotel and felt old and worn. Lobby was cluttered and dirty. Room had subtle wear and tear. Bathroom sliding door broken. Exterior door broken. Would not stay here again.

Z5397KYrobh (2/5): GM should be fired - After driving 8 hours and getting to property at 6 PM on 4/10/22, enter to check in and desk clerk says not enough rooms ready, they only have one housekeeper so it's room by room. Told there are five or six in front of me waiting on their rooms to be cleaned, had a lot of late check outs. Super BS!! Do not approve late check outs when you're full the next night. A GM worth their paycheck would have been on property working to clean rooms but I guess no one at H2S in Oxford, AL gives a flip. All other Hilton brands sold out so increasing my Marriott Bonvoy account this week and maybe for longer. Oh yeah, Hilton Honors Diamond member for multiple years but that might be changing to Bonvoy Platinum next year if that is the kind of service I can expect from Hilton branded properties.
SN1960 (2/5): Not Hilton Quality - Diamond member . Dirty , bed sheets extremely worn . Dirty coffee pot . Torn window shade . Dogs barking most of the night . A morning staff that could have cared less about making the stay right . Requested a manager to contact me over a week and no contact .

Floyd (6/5): - I arrived after 6:30pm and had to wait 45 minutes for staff to clean my room. I also had no towels, I called the desk and was told to "come down stairs and get them."
Maria (8/5): - The room is very comfortable and spacious. But whoever was meant to clean the room left a dirty rug, the remote was greasy, the ottoman has something spilled on it.
Marvin (2/5): - Home 2 Home was our go to hotel before COVID, and now it’s not as clean, no room service even after asking for clean towels and having the trash removed. My wife and I are No happy with the room and service at all, we will not stay there again.
hkbrosi (10/5): A welcoming place for me and my pet family - This was my third stay here and I always feel safe and welcome there with my pets. All the staff are very friendly and the rooms are beautiful and super clean. I will stay at Home2 any time I’m traveling.
