Guest Reviews

- Quazi (9/5): -
- Robin (6/5): Was okay. Have stayed in better places - Price Pool was freezing cold at 68 degrees and the rooms had a funky smell
- Jacob (1/5): Didn’t refund our money - Nothing Even after they had a fire and couldn’t be open during our stay, they would not give our money back
- Diane (1/5): - Didn’t stay at the property - the doors were locked - we had to find alternative accommodation
Please stop sending me emails
- Burt (1/5): - The property was closed…. Don’t you people know that? Had to scramble to find a place to stay that night after driving for 12 hours. Will go to a different agency next time!
- Burt (1/5): - It’s been closed for several months! Why don’t you know that?
- Burt (1/5): Last time we will book a Baymont! - Place was closed!!!! Had to scramble to find a place to stay. It was closed!
- Michelle (2/5): - This is a hotel to stay away from! My husband and I had this hotel booked for months. When we arrived, the door was locked and nobody was answering the phone. We called the customer service phone number and found out the hotel is currently closed. We had to scramble to find another hotel.
- Binder (8/5): -

- Justin (1/5): I would like a refund please - Nothing I didn't get to stay there because there was a fire there earlier in the day, nobody gave me a heads up, I was told I couldn't be there when I showed up.
- Tammy (1/5): It really sucked Baymont won’t refund us - It’s closed due to the structure being unsafe. I guess they had a fire there three weeks ago, but they unfortunately did not let us know now they will not refund our money back. It had a fire or three weeks ago. It’s condemned you cannot stay there.
- Charles (2/5): - We had booked this hotel but apparently the week before they had a fire and did not notify Expedia customers that it was closed. Poor customer relations. We arrived late at night and were discouraged. Expedia did find us another place at no extra charge but was discouraging. Did give a funny story to tell to our families after we had a good nights sleep in the new hotel.
- Kristine (10/5): - All great
- Richard (2/5): - We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 am from a midnight flight and were told that our room was not available. They had problems and as we arrived late they had given our room to someone else. Had too go to 2 more hotels before we found a place for the night. Have tried the hotel to see whether they offer some compensation other than a refund but have never got a hold of the manager. Looked like a nice hotel but the service was unsatisfactory to say the least.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I pre paid for my room and arrived to a fire and was turned away and I’m still waiting for my refund.
- Laini1 (2/5): DONT STAY HERE - Reserved for 2 nights through Hotels.com on June 3 for June 4 and 5. Arrived June 4 to check in and the hotel was locked with a sign on the door that they were closed. A man came out of the hotel and told me that they had a fire June 2 and had to close the hotel. So we made other arrangements but Hotels.com have kept our money! Trying to get it back.
DONT STAY HERE!
DONT USE HOTELS.COM!
- Elaine (2/5): - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I made reservation on june 3 for June 4 and 5. Got to property June 4 to check in and hotel was closed. A cleanup worker came out and told me the hotel is closed. There was a fire there June 2 so no one can stay there! Hotels.com app still taking reservations! BAD BUSINESS!
- Becky (8/5): - Great location and price point
- Oceanna (7/5): Good -
- Terry (4/5): - They had a fire and closed the hotel. We had to relocate.
- Jacob (2/5): - Staff did not know what they were doing ended up getting keys to someone's already assigned room and walking in on someone coming out of the shower while the other was naked on the bed was not on that trips checklist of things I wanted to see
- Braiden (2/5): - Got overcharged 25$ us, room had a strong chemical smell, tv didn’t work, breakfast was mystery meat and wet eggs. Sketchy people lingering about. Not worth the low price. Can’t get in touch with anyone at front feet to get money back.
- Geisinger (8/5): Our stay was very good. Comfortable beds clean rooms. Staff very nice. - Victor checked us in. He was very kind. And was very helpful.
- ISABEL (6/5): - Don’t like the smell on the room and it’s not very clean specially the carpet the floor
- Tandy (5/5): Will avoid next time. - The bed was comfortable but was also tired upon arrival after 10pm. Room was clean. Overall the building was an older hotel and items were a bit dated, but overall OK. Breakfast wasn't ready at the 6 am posted time. Took a shower that morning before check out, only to discover that I could not shut the water off. Told the desk clerk, and either due to limited English he wanted to check the room. Fine, but I didn't stay around as I had to get to the job site.
- Michala (2/5): - The beds were terrible, very soft, no support and obviously needed changing. Did not allow for a good nights sleep. Hotel receptionist was scruffy in appearance and unfriendly.
Hotel overall was absolutely fine, just need new beds and a smarter receptionist!
- Paul (6/5): - Was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub after a long drive - the pool and hot tub were closed
- Chandi (10/5): - It was very clean and staff was amazing
- Marylin (2/5): - When I got to the hotel at 7:30 in the evening, my booking was not there so they offered me a discount booking, but then found out the pool was ice. Cold in the whirlpool was not working so booked with a different hotel next-door.
- Bradley (6/5): - Just okay. The hotel appeared clean and we appreciated ‘no carpet’ in the room. The beds were comfortable and the bedding in good condition.
The bathroom wall had been repaired near the tissue holder and had not been repainted or papered. A portion of the drapery valance was detached and hanging.
The furnishings are of low quality and could be nicer for the room price we paid.
We did not eat breakfast at the hotel since we were joining family at a local restaurant. My wife checked out the options and said they were nothing to be excited about.
- Susie (10/5): Cleanliness - Because manager made accomadations for dog I liked
- Joshua (8/5): - no update the pool was closed
- Mandan (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (6/5): - I was looking forward to soak in the hot tub - OUT OF SERVICE - both the pool and hot tub were closed. They must believe in eco friendly - my wife and I had one (1) towel in our room to share. found out every room was given one towel. Staff were friendly and did their best to speak English- Probably wouldn't stay there again
- Michelle (4/5): - We booked and paid for 2 rooms only to be told upon arrival that they only had vacancy for 1 room. Our party for the other room had to find accommodations at another hotel. When we went up to our room it was unmade. There was no TV and the room was dirty. We were moved to another room that smelled like smoke but we had to take it as there were no other rooms available.
- Edgar (4/5): - Clean and nice room
I did not like staff whom make me assure to help me send to the airport nothings arrived no explaination makes my way to airport so very late
- Taylor (2/5): - I can honestly say I’m glad we only stayed one night. First impressions were questionable. If you require wheelchair use or have a disability that requires a door opener find a different hotel. From what I could see there was none of that. My husband and I both agree upon hearing the front desk clerk (assuming he may have been management possibly?) arguing on the phone with a different guest regarding a refund that this place should’ve been a red flag and tell. He was kind to us after getting off the phone so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. We get to our room which appeared to be just cleaned and mopped which was a welcome sight. The smell on the other hand was not a clean smell. It was almost like they used days to weeks old mop water to clean the rooms from top to bottom. There was still trash from the previous stay in our room. The sheets were not clean. It almost seemed and felt like the bed was just remade and not changed out. There were food crumbs and black staining on and in the bed. Nothing felt or smelled clean about this room. It felt very poorly run and poorly maintained. Save yourself the money and don’t stay here. I wouldn’t even let a rock stay in that room.
- Maxine (6/5): Some amenities were disappointing - The room was clean and comfortable, however the hot tub and pool were out of order. Also this hotel only has streaming Roku TV, so if you want local news or live sporting event you cannot watch it here. Which was very disappointing.
- Bradyn N (6/5): - Clean rooms. Not the best breakfast.
- V2492MYcolleenw (10/5): Great stop on vacation - Beds are very comfy! Hot tub was out of service and was in the car 10 hours so a bit disappointing but their bath tubs were very deep and able to still soak . Breakfast good . Roku TV for me a negative we don’t know how to use that. We have cable tv at home
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stayed 2 nights Paid for 8 Oh ya. - It will take 5 pages. Billed 2 nights as per should have been and then the hotel billed me for 6 nights on the incidental card. We don’t have issues so it was definitely not incidentals. The hotel charged for each night(2) separately and then added the amount of the 2 nights together and then charged that as well so they charged 6 nights more in total. Ya. Still struggling to get it straightened out.
As a side note we even preregistered to save time at the counter. That was not the case whatsoever.
- Colleen (10/5): Nice place when traveling - We were traveling for 10 hours . Great bed deep soaking tub . Hot tub broken ….bummer but didn’t break our comfort due to the tub.
- Sherri (6/5): Ok stay - My room had a used coffee pod in the coffee maker, the floor was not clean, and there was a used towel hanging on the back of bathroom door.
- Fran (4/5): - Couldn’t get tv to work, breakfast wasn’t great. Random
- Shannon (2/5): - We typically like Wyndham properties but this one missed the mark in most areas. When we checked in we were given a room that had not been cleaned after the previous people. We were then downgraded to a room with two queen beds rather than the king we booked. The deadbolt on the door to our room did not work, the floor tile was cracked and the toilet seat was loose. The bed however was comfortable, but it was not enough to have us stay at this property again, nor would we recommend it.
- Corinne (2/5): - Our first room absolutely stunk! Smelled like Currie was cooking in a room next to us. We asked to be moved, the next room was better. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is nice. We are with a group (5 rooms total), most 3 rooms had no towels, we didn’t have facecloths. Found out when we got here the pool and hot tub were not working. We picked this hotel for the hot tub. They tried to close the breakfast room at 9:00am when the sign said it was open until 10:00. The breakfast was terrible! Horrible eggs and the ham was not edible. The coffee tasted terrible, couldn’t even drink it. Only the waffles were edible. Definitely would not recommend, would not stay here again.
- Traci (6/5): - I liked the size of the room. But I didn't like that the hot water wasn't always hot and the hot tub was broken
- Cheryl (5/5): Passable - I booked through Booking and supposed to get the room for $82.54z they charged me an extra $25.00.
- avao810 (2/5): This is the WORST hotel i’ve stayed at in minot. - not only did the room smell terrible when we first got there, but they gave us the wrong room, they then wouldn’t replace our room unless we payed with cash and we would have to buy a completely different room. The pool doesn’t even work, the shower is disgusting. this hotel is terrible. they wouldn’t even give us the room we originally booked, they were gonna make us buy a completely new room and make us pay for this room as well.
- Kevin (4/5): Pre Check-in is a waste of time. - The precheck in is a waste of time. Still had a rodeo getting checked in and they billed my card 2x so will see if they credit it ball accordingly.
- Jorge (10/5): - Clean room, clean facility and close to restaurants and shopping. Couldn’t ask for more. AND THEY HAVE BACON AT BREAKFAST!!! Not that nasty hotel sausage everyone serves!
- Rory (6/5): - I have stayed with them many times and has been good but due to a shake up in the staff my room was not very clean. The bathroom floor hadn’t been cleaned for a long time and had no towels.
- Patty (8/5): - The carpet needed to be cleaned!! The back door to the Motel did not close shut. I let the front desk know but nothing got done about it.
- Joseph (10/5): - Everything was great
- Kat (4/5): Stay somewhere else - Nothing Everything
- Barbara (4/5): - The pool was not working and when it did the hot tub was freezing cold . Also they did not clean our room
- robertbH3521OK (10/5): A Gem - This hotel is newly remodeled and is a gem It is very simple but has everything a traveler needs. The beds were comfortable with fresh linens. It was reasonably priced and pet friendly. We would definitely stay here again. In addition, the desk person was as nice as he could be.
- Micheal (6/5): Pleasant - Took a 25 dollar deposit said we would get it back as soon as we checked out haven’t received it back yet
- Walhood (1/5): Bad -
- Tyson (8/5): - I had a wonderful stay here! The front desk staff was amazing! The room was clean and everything was great! The only complaint would be that the pool and hot tub were not working. I understand that is a problem that can't be helped sometimes.
- Benjiman (6/5): Pleasant - I accidentally made a double reservation and the front desk on check in cancelled my one for me at no cost. Front staff is extremely friendly helpful! The pool was not working. We booked because of price and pool. But with no pool in operation it should have been cheaper.
- Benjiman (7/5): Good - The front end staff were friendly and helpful The pool was not working
- Hobbs (10/5): Exceptional -
- Haley (10/5): - Really enjoyed the front desk staff! They were very kind! I travel with a service animal and usually, hotels arent aware of the ADA, but these guys were great! The room was very clean, breakfast was delicious every morning. I loved that the bathtub was deep enough for an adult to take a bath and be fully submerged! The pool was out of order, which was a bit of a bummer, but it didnt really affect anything
- Alicia (6/5): - Booked this hotel for the pool for the kids which was closed their website said renovations Sept 2024 but sounds like it was down from March to May so had to spend more money on activities for the kids, tv was difficult to use at first staff wasn’t helpful with it had to. Had to ask for more towels on two in bathroom with four of us. Rooms can use some renovations cracked sink rusted tap. If we did have questions for staff there was a sign to call long distance to help eventually we stood there long enough a staff member was there to help. I’m from Canada I wasn’t going to call long distance to get front desk help. The breakfast was good. Overall the hotel was ok we had a safe place to stay would have been better with better staff support and the pool open or at least a discount for the pool being closed as long as it was without any mention on their website
- Trevor (10/5): - Bbb
- Butler (9/5): I love the view and food was good I would stay again 10/10 i would recommend come here to stay at - The quiet and peaceful The pool wasn’t open
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No one at reception when we arrived to check in... guy on duty was outside smoking. Room was smelly and cold. Breakfast area was dirty with food on floor under tables and table tops hadnt been wiped off from previous people.
- Robert (6/5): - The room heater was inoperative 106.
Tall girl (manager) was communicating with difficulty with the breakfast and housekeeping staff-interesting.
- Roberta (8/5): Very good -
- Dwight Howard (10/5): - Staff no where to be found at checkin at breakfast on Sat two staff were fightig behind desk yelling at each other.
- Doris (9/5): Banging noise maybe from the heater??? - I slept in and didn’t get to breakfast till 5 to 9 and it was all cleared out Breakfast
- Horton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (4/5): Not impressed.. - The pool was shut down when arrived and was down the whole weekend. The pull out bed and couch was dirty with stains and old. Door handle fell off of the door when turned to open it. There was also no garbage can.
- Marina (10/5): - This place was great. They traded out our broken tv right away, and were very apologetic. Excellent hot breakfast with many options. Friendly staff!!!!
- Kimberly (1/5): Disappointing - The room had a mildew smell. It didn’t feel clean. The pool wasn’t available. The place is very run down. Needs some TLC
- Kendra (6/5): - The bed was comfortable, room was still slightly dirty and found a beanie. No breakfast and no pool. Mid
- Amanda (10/5): - It was nice
- Kevin (2/5): Disappointed - Check in horrible.
Try elsewhere.
- robert (10/5): - Everything was great. Just wish the pool would have been working for the kids.
- F GOOD (6/5): stay was OK - When we check in the room, previous guest left behind a few things in the drawers.
No towels in room
- Roland (10/5): Great except front desk person - All was good except for desk person who really had no time for us even though we were the only people there!
- Timothy (3/5): It was terrible - Not to bad and the loc is good When we checked in the room was not cleaned we got changed to a new room then the 3 days we was there they never cleaned our room had to make the beds our self trash piled up had to get our on towels for a shower the service was terrible but still had to pay full price we should have went somewhere els
- Tammy (2/5): Not for fun - There weren’t any amenities that we wanted. Beds were uncomfortable and I woke with an aching back. Any questions we asked, they didn’t know the answer. We wanted to cancel our second night and nothing went well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome - Clean
- douglas (2/5): - Shortly after midnight someone entered the room using a key card, did not turn on the light by the door, and came silently to the edge of the bed. when I shouted at them they retrieved slowly out. I had no sleep that night. Being especially alarmed they somehow had a key and the hour being so late when they came in I spoke to the desk staff in the morning to bring it to their attention. The deck lady was apologetic but I asked to have management call me regarding this potentially dangerous incident and after leaving my number expected to hear back shortly, but no reply has come. I did get an email from the Baymont asking how my stay was and I did reply, but still no response. I am not a complainer by nature but this needed to be acknowledged and dealt with.
- Steve (8/5): - Too many Motels advertise Pool and Hot Tub but they are always out of order.
- Whitney (10/5): Clean family friendly hotel - Very impressed
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
- Marlene (8/5): - Front door is not handicap accessible.
No staff at the front desk.
Our room key needed activated each day.
No communication between workers.
Enjoyed the breakfast area for family after the funeral service. But staff didn’t know we had permission in.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Desiree (4/5): - Multiple sticky spots on carpet, pool and hot tub shut down and not noted on website and the other family we traveled with canceled since they wanted a pool for kids, breakfast attendant took away serving spoons while we were dishing up and 20 minutes before it closed. As many hotels as there are in Minot we won't bother with this one in the 3-4 times we are in town a year.
- Ralph (8/5): - Easy access. Clean. Safe. Quiet. Young man at check in very friendly and helpful.
- Andrew (6/5): Should get a discount when you don’t get all the amenities - Clean friendly staff No pool or hot tube or Wi-Fi
- Sheila (5/5): Passable - Pool was down, hot tub down, price ridiculous to just have a bed for the night.
- Louisa (4/5): Disappointing - Unfriendly staff. Booked in after 5pm and they first had to check if the room was ready. 4 people but only two sets of towels.
- Paula (6/5): - It wasn't the best but it was satisfactory
- Tammie (9/5): Everything about my stay was a positive experience! - The room was very clean and laid out well. Everything was clean and well maintained. I had no complaints whatsoever. I would have preferred a sleep number bed, but only because I have one at home and am particular about my bed. The bed was very comfortable though, this is just a personal preference and not a judgement about the hotel.
