• Jeffrey (10/5): Great location in a nice town with good restaurants and a stones throw to route 86 in southern New York State. Exceeded - One of the best hotels we stayed in during our cross country trip. Wonderful location, clean, comfortable and a good breakfast. No complaints at all

• ED (1/5): Cheat. Tell in AMerica we don t betray trust in this manner - They Are trying to charge me an incidental of $ 100... for a phone I never used. Smell in the room that is their big problem not mine. If charge remains I will remove the original room fee of $84. (I was surprised when dark skinned man at desk at check in wanted another copy of my card? ( he said incidental .well now I understand his devious motive! (TAKE IT OFF NOW! ) Overcharge as above...Take it off immediately!

• Quinn (2/5): Terrible Night Staff - Microtel is special to me because it was the first hotel I stayed in. The Sayre property was affordable and in a well-lit area with some restaurants around. The rooms were okay and could use a little updating. Breakfast was forgettable, but it was better than nothing (boiled eggs, bread, butter, jam, cereal, yoghurt). The old man who handles the reception in the evening was grumpy and dressed sloppily in a loose tshirt. It was absolutely awful and will make me think twice about booking any Microtel properties in the US.

• Hanna (4/5): - The man at the check in counter was incredibly unfriendly and seemed annoyed that we were checking in. When we got to our room we immediately saw a cockroach around the fridge. We went back to the counter and politely brought this to the attention of the front desk attendant who did not apologize and again had a very poor attitude. We were informed they did not have any of the same rooms, and after asking if they had a different room he reluctantly gave us a new key. The rooms themselves are not very nice but decent enough for a short stay. I brought the cockroach issue to the attention of the new front desk attendant in the morning who again did not apologize and simply said he would have to call the exterminator. Overall very disappointed in the response of the staff and lack of customer service.

• Carla (2/5): - Upon arrival I had an issue with my form of id. The clerk then told me not to make him regret checking me in. My room had cobwebs and spiders everywhere. During the length of my stay, I had no toilet paper, tissues were empty, my room was never cleaned any of the days. I had to ask for clean towels. I then had a webinar to attend I had no pen. Went to the front desk and asked for a pen the same rude night clerk told me there were only 2 pens in the hotel and I couldn't use one. Highly disappointed for the amount of the stay. I'm unsure of what type of guests they normally check in, but I didn't even want to go down in the mornings for their breakfast. Left felt insecure and unsafe.
