• Jeanne M (10/5): - Easy access by foot to Centre, attentive staff (Thank you, Nico!), exceptionally quiet area and easy access to all routes. Small but efficient room with storage armoire and desk. We didn't your for breakfast but the accent of fresh filled bacon was intoxicating 👍

Frukosten var helt ok, lite sämre än förväntat efter tidigare recensioner men det fanns något för alla. Men det fanns ingen dedikerad specialkost. Ganska trevlig personal och bra läge med nära in till centrum. Bra parkeringsmöjligheter.

• John (4/5): - No Airconditioning, No reliable Internet, No reliable power, it went out three times during our stay. Breakfast over priced for what you receive. Beds and pillows are rock hard. Safety issue in the bathroom shower, no mat in shower to keep you from slipping and falling.

• Donna (10/5): Convenient location for our needs! - This location was very easy check in. We had a car rental and they have secure parking in the back for a small fee which worked for our stay. The room was clean and spacious which was a nice change since most rooms are small here in Europe. We did not use the breakfast option since we felt it was a bit pricey but opted to go to the market to buy some items. They had a small refrigerator and coffee pot with cream & sugar was nice. Overall our stay was great and may return again if in the area.

• Ken (8/5): - Small privately run hotel. Happy to look after you but didn't clean the room on one day which was the only disappointment. Breakfast was fine and cooked eggs to your request as well as the usual continental. Coffee machine stayed on all the time which was very useful.

Sdb avec belle baignoire mais douche impossible de se tenir debout. J'aurai aime que l'on me remette des sachets de café le 2e jour pour le matin suivant. Sinon je recommande cet hotel chaleureusement.

• Liam (10/5): A great small hotel, unpretentious but great value - This is great hotel close to the city centre and the mons memorial museum all within easy walking distance. That from a guy who injured his leg and was in a leg brace most of the trip. The best bit is you can park your car for free directly outside of it. That save over 40€ on equivalent nearby hotels. The room and a kettle and tea coffee also but a fridge is an extra bonus to pick up cold beers etc from cheap nearby shops. A couple of nice pubs on route to city centre also. Piece of advice is avoid the restaurant Henri on route to centre. Cash only and it turns you’re food into something you felt was microwaved, packet frozen chips etc. head onto city centre where there’s a great Pizzeria on the left just before the square. Sorry can’t remember its name.

Lækkert lyst rum, der virkede ret renoveret. I bygningen løber der dog et rør eller noget som larmer on/off hele tiden. hvis man sover let vækkes man af det

• Susan (2/5): - It would have been better if the people at the St. James didn't accept reservations on the weekend, when they are closed It took us about 2 hours to find the hotel, and when we did, found out that they are not open on the weekend.So I have to wonder why they accepted a reservation they had no intention of fulfilling. took us another few hours to find a place to sleep other than our car. I'd give the St. James a negative rating but I can't see how to do that.

Pas un bruite de l'extérieur. Nous étions situé vers la cour de l'hôtel Le petit déjeuner buffet à 15 euros est très bien également. Oeuf et bacon faits à la demande

• Cédric (8/5): Prêt du centre + SDB + mais propreté - - L'hôtel est très bien placé par rapport au coeur de ville . Il donne sur un boulevard mais fenêtres closes double vitrage donc pas de bruit, nuit agréable. La salle de bain très spacieuse et agréable, dans l'ensemble la chambre est pas mal mais quand on y regarde de plus prêt, le ménage est négligé ! Ne regardez pas les plinthes qui sont crasseuses prêt du lit et le mur noir recouvert d'une épaisse couche de poussière !!! Des tâches sur les parties basses des murs que n'importe qui verrait et essayerait de nettoyer ! Des détails très présents qui gâchent le confort général ! Dommage !

• Verified traveler (8/5): - De kamer was in orde, netjes, ruim. Het ontbijt vond ik prijs/kwaliteit echt niet oké. Er was heel weinig keuze, voor zo een ontbijt 15 euro vragen is eigenlijk schandalig.

• Guido (10/5): Last minuut geboekt, aangename verrassing - De voldoende ruime kamer met heel groot raam was eenvoudig, smaakvol en eigentijds ingericht. De gordijnen waren netjes opgehangen en verduisterden de kamer. Er was de mogelijkheid om 's morgens koffie te zetten. Het beddengoed was van goede (stevige katoenen) kwaliteit. De grote spiegel werd strategisch opgehangen aan de kastwand vlakbij de kamerdeur. In de praktisch ingerichte badkamer waren voldoende handdoeken voorzien en ook heel wat gadgets (haarkapjes, ontschminkdoekjes...). Het toilet was kraaknet. De vloerbedekking voelde aangenaam en comfortabel aan. Kortom, een hotel dat ik aan mijn familie en vrienden zou aanraden.

• Laura (8/5): une nuit au saint James - Mon compagnon et moi avons séjourné dans cette hôtel très bien rénové avec un sol chauffant dans la salle de bain. Notre séjour a eu lieu dans l’annexe de l’hôtel. En été , cela doit être très agréable. Cependant , en hiver sous la pluie, il est moins agréable de traverser le parking pour pouvoir se rendre à la réception. La chambre était propre et disposée du nécessaire afin de se faire un the ainsi que de prendre un bain.

• Robert (10/5): Great Hospitality - I had never to Belgium and I only had two evenings in Mons, naturally I wanted a good place to eat in the evenings. Nicholas, was working on the day of my check-in and he was really awesome. Very respectful and eager to help. He gave me a few of his favorite places to eat and I really enjoyed myself at Le Bailey. Nicholas made the stat complete for me. He was professional and always willing to help.

Pour ce qui est à améliorer: pensez à mettre le chauffage dans la chambre avant l'arrivée du client; acoustique très mauvaise, on dort avec ses voisins de chambre et on participe à tout; éclairage salle de bain à revoir; rideau pour la douche à revoir; bac de douche pas nettoyé à fond (pensez à nettoyer les parois de la douche également);pas de café au petit déjeuner (une poudre à la place) pour le même prix qu'un vrai café.Grosse déception car petit déjeuner non qualitatif de fait. Pas de vrai identité du lieu.Impersonnel.

• Lance (4/5): Clean but as basic as it gets. - I don't expect the moon for Euro 85 plus taxes but having stayed in five hotels on this trip of about the same cost, this was the only one that had no air conditioning, no safe, no free bottle of water to drink through the night, no tea or coffee maker for the morning. Then we were told breakfast was 0700 to 10am for 12 Euros extra but this was not available on the day until 8am. (it was a Sunday in fairness) but we were up and gone early. To be fair, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I shudder at sounding petty but charge me 87 Euros and give me a couple of bottles of water.

• Kerry (10/5): - The staff is excellent. They are bilingual. They supported my unusual business schedule. I was in the annex and it was very nice. The bedding is better than the average hotel. The bathroom was roomy. During the day,parking can a problem but at night I always found free Parking in front of the hotel.

• Gordon (10/5): Nostalgia - Last time we were in Mons was 42 years ago. We had to go back and enjoy the Grand Place again. The room cost 90€ with breakfast 12€ each extra.
• Mark (6/5): Nice hotel, very noisy - We were in the building to the rear which was very noisy with other guests coming and going at all hours of the night. Staff told us not to leave anything in the car outside as it would probably get stolen - they then told us later that day that we could use the secure car park...!

• Julie (10/5): Great Modern Hotel - This is a very nice, modern hotel located in a nice neighborhood near many restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. The room and bathroom were quite spacious and our king size bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and polite. We would definitely stay here again.

• The area is so so but OK. Hotel was recently refur (8/5): Overnight - Make sure you just follow the signs for the hotel and do not think you have missed any, they will appear.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Easy to find - Decent location, about 5-10 minutes walk to the main square. The town of Mons looks like a factory town where the factory closed about 10 years before. The main square and St. Waudru was worth seeing, but that's about it. Friendly staff and good internet. Room was smallish and the water from the shower must have been set on super eco-water saving mode. Nice location for getting in and out. I would use it for a stop over one nighter, but not for extended stay.
• Mike (8/5): Historic - Nice hotel with an older European feel; it is a redone historic facility so has it quirks. If you are looking for a modern hotel look, feel and facilities this hotel is not for you. For one it has heat but no air conditioning; there was a fan in the room. In mid August when I was there I could open the windows and it was fine at night. Right near the old downtown and easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants and a nice local park.
