• Stef (10/5): - Hartelijke ontvangst. Nette kamer Goed bed. Er is geen lift maar personeel bood spontaan aan om te helpen met de bagage omveilig de trap af te gaan. Dat was voor mij niet nodig. Ik was oor de 2e keer inhet hotel en kom zeker terug.
• Thomas (8/5): - Cooles kleines Hotel im Herzen von Emmen. Leider war die Bedienung im Restaurant unten sehr träge. Ansonsten super würde wieder dahin gehen. Super Bierbar in der Nähe.
• Lex (4/5): - In de eerste plaats moet ik mededelen dat ik met een rollator loop, alle kamers liggen op de eerste verdieping en er is geen lift aanwezig wel een smalle toch wel steile trap naar de eerste verdieping waar ook de receptie is van het hotel. Helaas was het voor mij en mijn vrouw niet te doen om daar te verblijven. Het personeel van het hotel was zo vriendelijk om voor ons een ander hotel te raadplegen of daar een kamer voor ons was en dit was gelukt dus zijn wij verkast naar een ander hotel, dus kunnen wij geen oordeel vellen over het stadshotel Boerland alleen over het voortreffelijk werk wat voor ons gedaan is. misschien een optie om bij de site te vermelden dat het geen goed hotel is voor mindervaliden personen vanwege de toch wel steile trap naar de receptie en de hotel kamers.

• Frank (10/5): - Super Lage ,super nettes Personal ,immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gemütlicher Frühstücksraum im Obergeschoss eines kleines Hotels. Kostenloser Parkplatz direkt am Hotel in der Innenstadt. Die Lage des Hotels ist super,da man alles Fußläufig erreichen kann. Das Haus steht direkt in der Fußgängerzone,in der zahlreiche Geschäfte sowie Restaurants und Café befinden. Außerdem sind es bis zu dem Zoo nur ca5 min. Fußweg durch die Fußgängerzone.
• Birgitte (8/5): - Fint lille hotel til overnatning, men meget lydt fra gangen til værelserne, og derfor støj om aftenen, når folk kom hjem. Helt ok morgenmad og imødekommende personale. Dejligt med mulighed for gratis parkering lige udenfor hotellet. Super beliggenhed i byen.
• Charlotte (4/5): - The room was cleaned, but smelled strongly of stale cigarette smoke to the extent where all my clothes and belongings smelled like smoke when I left. Opening the window didn't help. The walls are extremely thin, like paper mache so you can hear the noise and conversations of all the other inhabitants during the night. The shower room ceiling paint was peeling off in big sheets, there was rust in the shower cubicle, the carpets and furnishings were old and cheap. No kettle or tea making facility in the rooms. No breakfast included in the price so I can't comment on that. A cat lives in the breakfast room. Really poor instructions on how to access the building after 10pm - I tried for ages to get into the side door to the building and thought I had the wrong key. For anyone else who thinks they are locked out, there is a back entrance a couple of hundred metres away down a dark side alley. I only stayed in this place because everywhere nearby was booked up for a conference on this night (the two other local properties I stayed in the same week were great and much better value). On the plus side the bed was narrow but reasonably comfortable, the room had an ensuite shower room/toilet and you can leave your luggage (unattended) at the reception desk. Overall I wouldn't stay again and I wouldn't recommend this place unless you have low standards, are a smoker/have anosmia/ are a heavy sleeper, or are desperate. My advice is book earlier and stay somewhere else.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly staff - Staff are lovely and keep the hotel very clean, but unfortunately it is close to a couple of restaurants which can be quite noisy at night.

• Suzanne van (8/5): - Fijn hotel. We hadden een 3-pers.kamer geboekt, waar een 2-pers.bed en 2 1-pers.bedden in stonden. Omdat door avond lockdown restaurants gesloten waren, hebben we gevraagd een bed weg te halen en een tafel met stoelen neer te zetten, zodat we konden dineren in de kamer. Dit was allemaal geen probleem. Het heerlijke eten werd vanuit hun restaurant aan de overkant bezorgd op onze kamer. Top geregrld! Het ontbijt was prima. Lekkere bedden, maar platte kussens, lekkere douche, warme kachels.

• Mildred (8/5): - het accommodatie zag er goed en verzorgd uit alleen erg gehorig in de gang met de deuren misschien tip een deur opvangers te plaatsen tot ze niet zo hard dicht vallen
• Gerda (4/5): Tegenvaller behalve bedden en omgeving - Op de foto is het een mooi contact maar je komt achter binnen en dan loop je door en is er niemand bij de receptie en op het belletje reageert niemand. Zelf op onderzoek gemoeten. De kamers waren klein maar de bedden waren goed! Het ontbijt was beperkt. Als je later kwam had je kans dat je geen plaats had, dat de broodjes op waren. De gehele dag stond de hagelslag, jam ed. op de buffettafel voor de raam in de zon in een opberg box. Positief was de ligging midden in het centrum maar niet veel last van de herrie. Het eten was goed echter je kreeg een klein bakje sla voor 4 personen zonder lepel , je moest met je eigen vork waar je mee zat te eten in dat bakje. En dan in corona tijd. Ook bij de friet zat geen opscheplepel. Dus 1x daar gegeten en daarna niet meer. Kortom: bedden goed, omgeving goed echter verder was het een tegenvaller.
• Alex (6/5): - Prima locatie in centrum van Emmen. je loopt zo het winkelgebied in met veel restaurants en bars. Ook op loopafstand van Wildlands zoo en gratis parkeren achter het hotel. Minder is dat de kamers boven de looproute licht en dus de nodige straatgeluiden heeft.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - De service en vriendelijkheid van het personeel was uitstekend, kamer was groot en prima ingericht, heerlijke bedden, douche was ook uitstekend. Een goed gevarieerd ontbijt met heerlijke koffie. De wifi, kamer 35, liet echt te wensen over. Nauwelijks bereik. Toch, als we weer in deze omgeving willen verblijven, zal dit weer bij Stads-Hotel Boerland zijn.
• jonathanl64 (10/5): Excellent friendly hotel - I spent one night here after a very long train journey, arriving about 21.30. It is a lovely hotel, I was greated warmly, the staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. I cannot recommend it more highly. It was quiet and clean, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff very helpful.

• Anita (10/5): Een excellent hotel met vriendelijk personeel. - Voor de 2de keer in dit hotel verbleven en ik vind het een excellent verblijf. Temeer omdat het kleinschalig is, midden in het centrum van Emmen staat ,dus alles op loopafstand te bereiken is. Ook midden in de gezelligheid o.a. de vele terrassen, horeca en winkels. en voor ons was het meest belangrijke de dierentuin Wildlands die ook op een paar minuten lopen is.
• Ester/pepijn (8/5): - Heerlijk ontbijt! Kamers waren wel wat gehorig, fijn en behulpzaam personeel. We hebben genoten.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Boerland is een 3 sterrenhotel, maar meer ook zeker niet. De receptie, het restaurant en de kamers liggen op de eerste etage. Er is géén lift. De kamers zijn uiterst sober, geen tafeltje voor een koffer, geen koffieapparaat, geen fohn. Onhandige plaatsing van de leeslampjes (spots) boven het bed, beide mensen in bed liggen in het volle licht als er één wil lezen. Geen extra badmat voor de douche. Het restaurant is absoluut niet Coronaproof, tafeltjes met mensen is geen/amper 1,5 meter, iedereen moet brood snijden met hetzelfde mes, en beleg pakken met hetzelfde vorkje. Er hangt een dispenser bij de receptie (met iets van chloor of halamid erin, en dat werkt niet tegen een virus) maar dat is alles. Koffie-apparaat in het restaurant en de deurbel bleken onze 2 dagen stuk. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding gaat mank ten opzichte van andere hotels in/bij Emmen. Pluspuntje, vriendelijk personeel en het is op loopafstand van Wildlands, dat scheelt parkeergeld.
• Carlos (10/5): Great Stay !! - I had visited Ememen many times before but this was my first time staying overnight. I stayed for two nights. Everything was closed due to the day being a Sunday and Monday was a holiday but I enjoyed my room it's bar and two restuarants. All the employees were awesome. Especially the cook whi checked me in and gave me a lot of great advice about Emmen and Dutch food. I did not get her name but, it was the skinny lady. She was the upstairs cook and when I ordered room service she was the one who brought me the food. They have a very cool black and white cat. Fresh Heineken on tap. My room had a balcony which I loved. I recommend a rooftop smoking area if possible. Someplace where you can smoke cigarettes or weed.

• Margarita (10/5): Best hotel experience ever. - Incredible people and an incredible city. If you want to be in the center of a small, yet vocal town; this is the hotel for you. The rooms are up to date, and equipped with good old AC if you’re here during the summer. The people are unlike anything else I’ve encountered. Kind, and warm people who are always open to helping you out. Don’t let the back entrance fool you, this is truly a one of a kind place to be.
• Barry (8/5): Small, friendly and convenient - Simple and comfortable enough room in a small hotel in centre of Emmen. Location great for us and includes free parking. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Breakfast simple but very good - fruit bread excellent! Friendly service.
• Kirsty_DT (8/5): Friendly staff, good location - I was staying here for 1 night while walking the Pieterpad, so it is easily accessible by bus from Sleen. I was greeted on arrival by the chef who was also doubling up as the Receptionist! He was friendly and efficient and I soon got checked in, so his reception skills were good but I can't comment on his cheffing as I didn't eat there! :) The hotel has a relaxed vibe with a nice beer garden to sit out in the sun and watch the world go by. I also had a balcony which was nice to sit out on. The breakfast was a buffet which was fine and the lady working in the morning was also friendly. The only problem was that it was very noisy during the night I stayed, so it's worth asking for a room at the back which may be quieter.
• AvdV80 (8/5): Good stay! - Stayed here for 1 night during recent business visit in the Emmen area. Nice small hotel with good service. Rooms are basic but equipped with all amenities. WIFI is free and fast. Breakfast in the morning is good and has enough options. All together a solid hotel if you are passing through the area.
• kick (8/5): In the downtown of Emmen - Hotel Boerland is smacked in the middle of the downtown, closer you cannot get. Clean and sufficient rooms, a gated parking lot, and close to all emmenities it is ideally situated for a visit to Emmen, the Zoo ( WIldlands) and much more
• Steve (8/5): Convenient & Clean Hotel, but very basic - We only really needed somewhere to sleep & shower, as our stay in Emmen was to visit Speedway Emmen Banger & Stock Car Racing, & were out in the daytime, & spent the evenings in the local Restaurants, Bars, etc. The Hotel location is great, being so close to Bars, Nightclubs, & places to get great value food (Wereldrestaurant Puur) A bedside table in the room would of been a good thing, as well as Tea & Coffee making facilities. One of the beds was on a slope!
• Carol_Martyn1977 (2/5): Disgusted - On my visit here I encountered 6 mice. I was truly disgusted there was droppings surrounding the bar area and quite frankly the thought of eating food here turned my stomach for this reason. Some of the staff were friendly however I did not enjoy the general vibe and do not expect to be greeted my small vermin on a daily basis during my stay. The management need to get this sorted and to be honest I actually complained during my stay and it was as if it was laughed off. Sort your hygiene and someone get environmental health over there.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonably priced no frills hotel - The overall experience was pleasant, the staff friendly. The rooms are simple but well maintained. The bathroom is a bit on the small side but functional and clean. Some noise issues but in a lower price segment hotel you have to expect a younger, more noisy crowd so you get what you pay for.
• nurse46_11 (8/5): Friendly place to stay - We spent 4 nights here during the Assen moto go week. We were made very welcome when we arrived, helped with our luggage and shown to the parking area behind the hotel, we were also given security advise about our bikes. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the centre of town so everything you might need is nearby. This does present one problem however, on Saturday night the area was very noisy later on, we put in our ear plugs and problem solved. The other nights it was very quiet. Breakfast was a simple continental, plentiful and tasty with lots of very good coffee. 2 evenings we ate at the hotel, the food was very good and lots of it! We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.
• PieterS90 (8/5): Well located and comfortable - I have been coming to this hotel for the last 15 years. I have always found the hotel clean, good service, and an enjoyable breakfast. The only disappointing thing was, on my last there was no minibar. The other times I was there, there was always one. Besides that, a highly recommendable hotel and I will use them again the next time I am in emmen.
• S7712YXchriss (8/5): Ideal located hotel - Very nice small hotel which is located in the centre of emmen. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby to grab a drink or a bite to eat in the evening. The staff were very friendly. Room was clean and ideal. Breakfast was a little basic but was substancial. I would definitely stay again.
• Konrad_Holger (8/5): Very nice hotel in the city center - We've stayed here for one night with one couple and a family with two little kids. We had a double and a triple room with an extra bed (which turned out to be a full bed which was perfect). The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Only one of the rooms had a fridge. Breakfast was basic but perfectly fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is available right next to the hotel and for hotel guests only. The only downside was that we could hear every single person walking, whistling and talking down the hallway. We could also hear our friends in the next room. The walls must be very thin. Other reviews mention pubs outside. We had our rooms to the back of the hotel which I assume to be a bit quieter. We'd definitely stay here again.
• v-e-m-m (8/5): Lovely family-run hotel - This hotel is in the very centre of Emmen, the zoo is just across the street and the busy pubs are just outside the door. The room had double bed, flat screen tv, balcony and a bathroom. There was also free wi-fi but was a little slow. Very clean room, clean sheets, shower etc. Breakfast was basic, boiled egg, bread, tea &coffee. Fruit and yoghurts would be a great addition to their breakfast. The owner of the hotel was helpful and pleasant, as was her son. Great food and drink in 'The Brasserie' next door to the hotel. Overall a great stay here and will definately go back.
• nursedude (8/5): A nice hotel - A nice hotel with a great location in downtown Emmen. It's not very fancy, but the rooms are clean and the people are very nice. A good breakfast buffet, again nothing fancy, but good nonetheless. The hotels restaurant was full with locals and travellers and the food was tasty.
