• Audrey (9/5): Amazing! - The staff was amazing. We got there late at night, and the receptionist was so helpful. She gave us a WhatsApp number that we could contact in case we needed anything, and when we contacted her she came right up to the room to help. She gave us recommendations for late-night restaurants we could order from and on how we could get to Santa Marta the next day. The included breakfast was very good, there were 2 options (Americano and sandwich) and if you order it before 9 they can bring it to your room. The room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC wasn't very strong but there was a big ceiling fan that worked so well that we were cold in the middle of the night. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel can be a bit difficult to find - the taxi driver who took us there didn't know where it was, when we used inDrive (like Uber), we put the right address but they still got lost, and the same happened when we ordered food through Rappi. However, we would still go back in a heartbeat because the room was great and the customer service was truly exceptional.

• Marshall (8/5): - If you want an economical alternative, this might be for you. Unless it's rush hour, it's a cheap $3 15-minute Uber ride to the Walled City. The rooms are clean and the staff really try to please. Our view was an air shaft and another room's window. The breakfast is limited but freshly made and includes fruit, sugary juice blends, egg dishes and coffee. Dining options in the immediate area are limited but include a couple of seafood restaurants and lots of take-out empanadas and deep-fried root vegetables. The neighborhood "El Bosque" is functional and not charming. Lots of "talleres" for car repairs. Construction in the hotel started at 8 a.m. but that only occurred a couple of times.
• Gomez (10/5): Excellent price and value but located some distance from city center - Staff were excellent--seems like the people who work in hotel business in Colombia are topnotch in giving excellent service; beds were comfy; wifi worked adequately. Restaurant was very good; the cook knew his stuff. Breakfast and coffee were good. It was a bit far away from center; but getting cabs/Uber were not an issue. Really no other bad issues other than not located in center, which might be considered a positive really. I noticed a high number of professional local travelers, from which I infer that hotel fits their modest or restricted budget, but can still get good value for price. Foreign Tourists might want to stay in Getsemani to be closer to the action, but I doubt you'll find a room of that size and quality for similar price.

Not a large selection like in other hotels for breakfast. The staff was very helpful and fun. They are the reason for the high rating.

L’emplacement un peu loin du centre ville (15000 COP en taxi) mais proche du port, endroit où nous devions nous rendre tous les jours pour des démarches.

If a guest comes to your room and spends more than 20 minutes you are assessed for a full day amount at check-out time, that is an unconscionable rule of theirs if you ask me.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff who were wonderful and so helpful. The restaurant serves good affordable faire and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone just looking to spend a day or so in. Cartagena

Staff is great, dinner and dinner price are really good considering the quality. Fun place to be if you want be out of downtown but not to deep it. Took a non-speaking Spanish friend and she had a great time be able to joke and enjoy all amenities with needing constantly translation. Good deal!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The main drawback is it’s out of the way from the Centro, Getsemani and Bocagrande neighbourhoods that you likely want to visit. But it’s a relatively easy cab ride just make sure to tell the cab driver it’s in the Bosque neighbourhood when you go back. It was pretty quiet and nice and clean. The only real complaint is that the shower only had lukewarm water.

If you are not familiar with Cartagena to know where the hotel is located and you want to be close to everything tourist related, this hotel is not for you. If you have a car and do not mind being a car ride away, it is perfect! The location for me was great but I did have a car so it was easy for me for me to go everywhere. The parking is excellent and very safe. I had breakfast (it was included) and different plates for lunch everyday; everything was delicious! I did not have one complain. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop jacuzzi area is perfect. It is small but cozy and it is perfect to watch the sunset with a drink in your hand. I went to their gym and enjoyed it as well. Everything is exactly as it is seen in the pictures. I would definitely go back!

Les femmes de ménages attentives et tres propres. Nous avons profité de ce séjour aussi pour nous reposer a la terasse- Tres de base -avec un petit Gym et un Jacuzzi, il y manque cependant des Transats pour le repos .

And served its purpose. They have a really nice terrace with pool and bar. The hotel has a lot of potential. We were there mid week and off season.

• Zackary (8/5): Clean, comfortable - The hotel itself is quite comfortable and nice, certainly relative to the area. If you want to stay in this section of Cartagena, I'd strongly suggest Buenos Aires. The staff were all polite and helpful. I ordered room service once and the food was quite good (and cheap!). The area is not particularly exciting, being far from most touristy things. This felt more like a locals area, with this hotel being the nice one in the neighborhood.

• Nicholas (4/5): Not for Vacationers - I think this hotel is way overpriced for what it is and when I arrived despite booking on Hotels.com it took me forty minutes for the hotel staff to find my reservation. The worse part is that she skipped me and handled several other customer's before finally locating the reservation because it was too inconvenient for her at the time. The rooms themselves are very nice but the hotel lacks style and charm. It feels like a decent place for a business commuter and not for someone on vacation.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, not in the best location - Nice hotel but the location was not the best. It's located far away from boca grande so have to taxi it.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Hablo Ingles? - Whilst a nice hotel, the location leaves much to be desired - a 10 minute taxi ride in to the city each way. Only one staff member (the manager) speaks fluent English, the rest of the staff not so much which makes it difficult to communicate and easy for mistakes to be made. Eg. Tour bookings which we thought included xyz did not, and the tour was in Spanish, too! Manager is very accommodating. Would recommend staying here if you speak Spanish and don't mind the proximity to the city centre.
