- Jess (2/5): - When i get into my room there was no toilet paper, the safe didnt work and the shampoo/soap had clearly been used with the cap still left off and a soap dish full of water. When i went down to reception they were incredibly unhelpful, blamed housekeeping laughed in my face and took 10 minutes before they even offered me toilet paper. The staff were rude and unhelpful throughout my stay and the towels STUNK even when "fresh" ones were laid out each day. The restaurant downstairs played music obnoxiously loud till midnight every night, the food was not good at all, overall conpletely disappointed and would warn everyone to never ever stay here!
- Scenic66797422478 (8/5): Right on the spot with all the helpings. - Nicely located, 1 kilometre from patong beach big n clean rooms with balcony very reasonable, so many hotels and eateries near by, very good vibe,just beside all purpose store, good staff they provide travel n tours also u can hire scooter from them they give one way airport transfer in very good price, they store your luggage for free.
- Fairylulu (4/5): Below expectations - We were quite disappointed with our stay here. We found the staff to be not so helpful, although check in and out was quick. We had breakfast included in our room rate, however we only went once as it was not worth the money we had paid. There was very little choice and what was there had clearly been sat for a while. You can order eggs to your liking, but again these weren’t great. The room itself was ok. The bed comfortable enough, although, as in most of Asia, was on the harder side. We did spot a few little beetles or cockroaches in the room itself and were not sure how well the room was cleaned during our stay. I can definitely say the sink wasn’t cleaned once in our 9 day stay! The walls also had lots of stains on and the bedsheets has rips in. They provide a very small bottle of shampoo and a shower gel, which is topped up daily, however no hand soap is provided, we had to go and buy our own. The room we had was quite dark and overlooked an inner courtyard. This was quite noisy at night as the air conditioner units were right outside. The floor we were on was also noisy from around 7am in the morning, not from other guests but housekeeping staff. You can hear everything from the corridor in your room. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the laundry service as well. The place that they send the laundry to lost an item of our clothing and we did not get it returned nor any money to compensate for the lost item. If you do get your laundry done here be sure to make a list and take photos of everything. It is a shame to write such a bad review of what could potentially be a nice hotel. S in other reviews, if you literally are just using the hotel as a bed for the night, it is ok.

- pasihars (6/5): Good Price But ...? - When we arrived at the hotel tanong patong no one clerk of the hotel for our welcomed and they have look to us but no respon for it. and I asked a male clerk wearing an orange shirt asking for check in. when i was check-in we didnt get our double king size bed room but they were given a twin bed room and i asked why i got a different room they told to me because you did a last minute booked, when i had booked 4 days in advance. then they checked back the contents of my booking email and they changed my room the next day. when i am entering of my room and I see the interior is nice and the equipment inside is very suitable with the price. when we take breakfast they provide unsuitable breakfast which is in the picture and that is on you tube. for 3 nights staying in this hotel we always found small cockroaches in the room. this hotel seldom do pets control cleanliness very less. on the 2nd day I was very disappointed to a staff hotel i forgot with her name but i remember when I told my complained about to borrow plate and spoons, she laughs, and this is not funny..! wanted to borrow plates and spoons because they could not borrow a plate with a spoon. and I was very surprised if I wanted to use their 100-bath charge plate.

- Uma (2/5): Horrible Hotel - It was not what seen in the picture given. My room air-con wasn't working, told the staff about and she came to see and adjust something and said after 10mins the air-con will come. Ask for a change of room but not available at that moment, didn't come to us about changing of room. Toilet was dirty and saw small cockroaches running around. Room was dusty and mosquito flying everywhere. The entire room together with the toilet was very smelly. I was not in the mood to take pictures.

- 344carlag (4/5): Don't be fool by pretty pics - Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures, although this hotel does have some good looking rooms, its a piece of junk. its ok if you're only staying a few days, lets be honest, you don't come to Phuket to stay in a hotel anyway. BUT our bathroom was disgusting, theres no separation between the toilet and the shower so water goes everywhere. the bathrooms door was broken too and they were so cheap with the toilet paper when they remembered to give you one. Wifi is awfulllllllll Also my friends room came with nice stuff! she had a kettle while we don't, so I don't know if some rooms are better than others.. Reception is super nice, but NOT THE RESTAURANT THOUGH!!! their food was good, but I ended up throwing it up that same night (oysters) and there was supposed to be a show they told us so we sat down....it was at 7pm, then 8pm then it turned into 10pm...and then they said oooh its tomorrow! so why did they keep LYING to us?? the next day the show started at 10pm when on their poster it said 7pm....I don't like getting lied to. Overall the hotel is in a good location, not too far from the beach and close to main roads so if you need a cheap roof over your head, this hotel does the job.

- whoissofy (4/5): Hotel is OK if you only need to sleep somewhere - We spent both weeks of our vacation in this hotel and met pretty much all pluses and minuses. Hope you’ll find them useful: + really smart location: not far from Patong beach, close to markets and shopping mall and very many good places where to eat, drink, have a rest + good price for bike and helmets renting (200 baht), meanwhile increased price for gasoline (50) + sweet lady on reception promoted our room level (not sure if it happens all the time though :D) - cockroaches - big ones! - rooms stay dirty even after cleaning + our bed sheets weren’t changed until we asked about it - photos on booking sites don’t correspond whole reality - not friendly personnel (exceptions are rare) - none noise insulation + noisy conditioning - refrigerator refused to work and had bad smell :) - most important! don’t include breakfasts to your booking here. you’ll get the same food everyday and variety is really limited - we got tired of it for the second day. watermelon pieces taste like onion :( probably, because they were cut by the same knife. instead of paying 200 (!) baht for that everyday, you can enjoy good meal nearby for less money - it would be just 1-10 mins walking from the hotel Still thanks for having us!
- claire_mcn (6/5): A roof over your head.. - Look, for the price we paid it wasn’t that bad... but the room was tiny, the bed was harder than rocks, fault with the safe meant waiting 30 minutes for the staff to break into it to get my engagement ring out, air conditioner leaked so had to use our towels to soak up water over night (staff suggested we try to sleep with no air conditioning...ha). Otherwise staff were very friendly and polite! Weren’t too familiar with the streets when we asked her directions, but location wise was fantastic! Walk from Jungceylon, Bangla Road and Patong Beach.
- 279clementa (2/5): Very bad first experience to Phuket - Not a very great Hotel. I do not like to bad mouth any business, but they really suck. The rooms are nothing as per Booking.com photos. Staff not very friendly, rooms not very clean. Faulty air con systems. Dirty corridors, feels like you entering a swamp dump. They deduct there fee at booking, I believe the reason is they know there Hotel is the worse. My wife and I were not the only couple or people that moved out only after the 1st night. Some people move after just visiting and viewing the rooms. Far from the beach no swimming pool or other attractions. Bad restaurant oily old food. The only good thing is they have an outside money exchange that offered the best exchange rate within Phuket. When I return to Phuket I will not visit them again. We slept one night and no offer to refund our cash.

Clean✔️ close to everything ✔️ friendly and helpful staff ✔️ 15 min walk to beach and from there 5 min walk to Patogon beach strip where all restaurants and bars are. you have 7/11 and family mart literally next door to the hotel. ThaiHappyTour is in the lobby and let me say if it wasnt for them and their professionalism we wouldnt have had such an amazing time. they turned the beds everyday, have mini fridge, ice cold AC. no soap or free toothbrush but its ok because bathrooms are extremely clean! Great NON Squealing Bed 😜 Breakfast isnt out of this world but it can fuel you until your next meal. It is so worth it if your lookinh for a quick 3-4 day hotel.
- wonderlust_9 (6/5): Value for Your Money - The hotel is about a kilometer from the beach. I paid 530 Thai Baht for one night. It was a good queen size bed. I was not able to figure the ceiling lighting. Some of the lights were restated but not the ones over the headboard. There room was nice size but no chair. The bathroom had an adequate shower but no tub. There was no soap at the lavatory and the faucet was loose. The place was clean enough and had no noise problem. The tv was snowy. There was civility at the reception with a discount in the restaurant. The 180 baht breakfast was fine. For $16/ night this place was a bargain. I would stay there again.

We booked the room with breakfast, honestly breakfasts was so so, the restaurants nearby are not expensive and have different kind of cuisine,so you can enjoy meal there. Hotel has rent bike service, laundry service, also a lot of kinds of tours around the island and to small islands. The location of hotel is convenient nearby has family mart and 7-Eleven,pharmacy. To Patong beach 15 mins by walking. Tanawan hotel is good simple and comfortable.Good job guys!
- Wing Yi (2/5): - 管理不善，房內什麼都不齊，連水壼，遙控，逐樣要電取，浴室不潔已想死，水壓亦不夠，還要是銹水，開足一個鐘都不清。 住四晚換了三次房，因為停電，這樣壞那樣壞，洗澡中突然停電，匙咭得一條，。 免費早餐種類不出五類，難吃，連雞蛋都沒有，簡直悲哀，大堂更恐怖，放啲貓出來四處走，客人零晨來都不開燈，加埋五六隻大貓叫聲，邪氣迫人，接待處戈，餐廳職員服務態度十分壞，亦不善英語溝通。唉，惡夢一塲。以後都不敢睇你們個網book 酒店。
- April (10/5): great hotel / restaurant! - hotel assisted with airport transfers. however, beware that they only operate at certain times. they start at 10:30 am...stinks if you have an early morning flight. a/c was super cold! you are provided with towels for the beach! we took towels on our day trip then got fresh ones for using at the beach later in the evening! very accommodating! the restaurant had a special menu that offered everything at 99 baht each (CHEAP!!). the food was delicious. live singer/band in the evenings. wifi didn't work well in our room. very frustrating. tour desk is located in the lobby. it is not the cheapest...shop around the town for better pricing.

- Marc (6/5): Not Quite as advertised - For the price it was good but I got it at a very discounted rate. Good food in lobby restaurant.I had a few problems while staying here. I was on the 6th floor with a street facing room, very small balcony and traffic noise is constant. The lift, when summoned to the sixth floor would stop and the doors would fail to open (unless there was someone in it coming up), walk down the stairs to the 5th floor to get the lift almost everytime. The in house laundry service was not delivered on time (a day late) so if you need to do washing while there, go down to the side street and use the laundry service there. The room itself was ok, badly designed bath/shower with no curtain that leaves excess water on the bath surround and the floor making it slippery and dangerous, taps that are not secured properly and in the main room there was mould in the front corner on the ceiling and under the cornice which had peeled away from the ceiling. TV reception was poor. no pool.

- catherine_6950 (6/5): Location is a little far - About 10 to 15mins walk to Junceylon Shopping Mall & Bangla Street. Bed is literally hard so hardly have a comfortable and good sleep. The room floor is sticky even provided with daily room cleaning. Next to Family Mart, have it own restaurant & tour company. Free airport transfer is only applicable for designated schedules from 7am to 7pm.

- sylvia (4/5): 距海灘非常遙遠CP非常不高 - 沒有吹風機要主動問另外押押金500泰銖，房間浴室排水孔堵住。一到我們的樓層外面看到好幾個員工赤腳趴睡躺睡在飯店的白色浴巾毛巾上面，非常噁心。

- Verified traveler (6/5): horrible - Hôtel horrible, personnel à l'écoute mais chambre vraiment affreuse : nous avons réservé la suite avec jaccuzzi : un cafard dans la chambre, des toiles d'araignées, des nids de poussière, tous les jours il faut demander des serviettes car sinon il ne vous les change pas !! à ne pas refaire. Nous avons pris le petit dej dans le packaging, c'est une horreur
- Agnes (8/5): 15 mins to Patong Beach. Well kept room. - Staff are friendly and helpful. We were there for 2 nights, clean room, nice old style bed and good city view on the highest floor. Hotel is 15 mins walk to Patong Beach. Only disadvantage is the elevator, the door did not open when it reached the ground floor. The next day, we were told the elevator is under maintenance till 5pm. The hotel have only one elevator so we need to our way downstairs. Overall, Tanawan is only 10mins walk to Jungceylon Shopping Mall, Banzaar and nearby shops. Location is great! I would still recommend to stay at Tanawan.

- XUERONG (8/5): - 挺不错的，很干净，而且离酒吧街和海鲜市场都可以步行，wifi很快，而且是免费的，这点最棒了，还有一楼有个男的会中文，所以大家可以放心去！

- reynu (10/5): nice hotel - We were allowed to early check in. On the 2nd day of our stay our bath tub tap went wrong and we couldn't shower. Reported this and they had changed a room for us from deluxe to Super deluxe room. Thanks you Tanawan
- david (10/5): El hotel esta bien, cerca del ambiente nocturno - Mi experiencia a sido muy buena, el personal siempre sonriente y bromista. Se come fenomenal en el restaurante y si coges con desayuno te pones morado. Para mi un 9 y con ganas de volver.
- Anon (4/5): Decent location with some minor issues - the first room that they gave us had a faulty air conditioner and a weird smell, so they changed another room for us. In the second room, some of the lights were faulty and we told the reception about it but nobody came and fixed it. Tv reception was also blurry. The pillow case was also dirty with shoe marks on it. It would also be nice to have bedroom slipper as the floor was pretty sticky to walk on. On the 3rd floor, the corridor light near the stairs was also faulty. Seems like maintainence is pretty poor in this hotel. However, the location is pretty decent, about 15 mins walk to the shopping centre and patong beach. There's also a good restaurant downstairs and a family mart next door. Staffs were nice as well and there was two bottles of complimentary water in the room.

- Jun (6/5): 服务很好，希望热水问题能够及时解决 - 酒店热水不足，开到最热也是挺凉的，一开始还以为是这里普吉岛的当地情况，结果和我后面的酒店相比，完全是不一样的，后面的酒店就是挺热的，洗了两天的半凉水澡。厕所和其他酒店相比没有什么大的优势。服务挺贴心的，随叫随到，并且态度很好，这点挺好的。

- Max (8/5): Decent hotel - Our stay was great, staff amazing, the room was great for the value and around 10-15 minutes walk to and from Bangla road.
- yoke yen (2/5): From bad to worse. - The services are very bad. Especially the staff from the canteen, is very rude. We stay for 3 nights, everyday is terrible. This hotel not even qualified for 2 stars, and should not put in tourist hotel list, too. I will not go back there again, even they give out free rooms to stay.
- ABDUL AZIZ (4/5): Bad service! - Ask the hotel to get me hotel transfer to airport for 2, the next day the driver came 15 mins late, drive so slow and was a van!Never to come here again!
- Lucas (6/5): You get what you pay for - This hotel is good for a cheap version of a budget holiday. Because it is new, the rooms are still in a relatively good condition, although the first signs of zero maintenance are already apparent. Big advantage is that the hotel is located just 10 min stroll away to the big shopping centre. But if you want to go to the beach you have to walk 30 min, or pay 200 baht for a taxi. Adjacent to it is a small FamilyMart, which is very convenient. But if you are a food or coffee connoisseur or expect something more than just a street view or facing the plain side wall of the neighbouring hotel, than this place is not going to live up to your expectations. If you speak mandarin you will get by with almost everyone, but 99% of the staff do not speak English. Actually the situation is the same with almost all other hotels in this neighborhood.

- Krishana (6/5): Good budget hotel. - Hotel is good for individuals, though it is a bit far from Bangla road which is the main place for nightlife. Rest all was ok and when you're in patong, beaches won't be too far from either hotel as you would anyways rent a scooter for local travel.

- Christopher (8/5): Well worth a stay - 3 nights. nice hotel. Reasonable location. Breakfast not great. We upgraded to a better Room and was well worth the extra £10 a night. Didn't eat in the on site restaurant but local food stalls are great value for good food

Change the word 'Deluxe Room - Free One Way Airport Minibus Transfer" as hotel is saying that they only pick from airport and it is no where written at hotel.com website, free one way means either pick up or drop at airport. we were denied the drop at airport when asked. very bad experience of breakfast nothing for vegetarian. be careful if you are choosing this hotel.

We book a superior room with one way Airport transfer by Mini van for 2 nights separately. We were expecting a departure transfer to Airport as we reached hotel from Krabi by road. When we asked this we were inform that they only pick up from Airport and we are already arrived hotel by own so this deal is over. I request Hotel. Com to re write there room as " Superior room with Airport pick up" so that another guest like me do not feel cheated. For vegetarian no breakfast accept fruits. When we requested them to prepare some vegetarian food for next day, we were denied. Price is les but you will pay more in local transport as it is far from beach.

- Mory (6/5): Just a budget Hotel - The only good thing about this place is that it's close to Patong beech, but do not expect anything else. you'd better forget about the buffet breakfast since it's too simple. There is no window view, and you have to buy the drinking water. The staff are helpful, though their English is less than basic. Book it if you just need a clean bed to sleep at night.
- Doreen (6/5): Nice room and good service - Room is nice and clean. Hot Shower temperature is not consistent (sometimes too hot and cold) and water is too slow. Need to take longer time to wash hair and shower. Breakfast was not too bad. Road in front of the hotel is under construction. it's very muddy if you were to walk to juncelyon shopping centre.
- Martha (8/5): close to beach and night life - The hotel was great, food not so much. no hair dryer or iron in the room or hotel period. Staff so nice and helpful. Place was very nice and conveniently located. One huge minus there was some construction going on right infront of the hotel we had no road and it smelled like sewer!! actually no road for about 2 whole blocks. But the hotel was great!
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok - The stuff was always friendly, every day new towels, for thai-standard ok, they build a new street in front of the hotel, so it is very dusty... but close to everything and good thaifood just a few doors from there...
