Guest Reviews
- Rey (2/5): - The place was the worst so far. The noise from people around the facility was unbearable. The room and bathroom was dirty; provided with stained linens; children in and out; lacking privacy with no comfort at all.
- Sarah (6/5): - Toilet shower is not working, tv too is not working . Dirty towels and linens .
- Juttessa (4/5): - We booked a quad room for an overnight stay.. The price is really low and wasnt expecting big but didnt expect that the room was a bit untidy..
Bathroom was terrible.. Shower/Bidet was not working, Water was not strong enough, The smell (Imburnal) and cleanliness..
Clean towels were not provided.. Blankets was too short for 1 person..
Free breakfast was ok.. but we were not informed that they will bang at your door at 6am..
Only thing I liked here is the proximity to other restaurants like Kabsat, Floatsam Jetsam and the ocean since it was only walking distance.
- mark (4/5): - Really need to do better with hygiene!
Been backpacking round the Philippines so used to budget accommodation and this is definitely the cheap end of hotels in San Juan so was not expecting much.
it seemed fine for the price very basic but shower/ac worked Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the rooms but if you pop outside you can get it.
But on the 2nd night I got about 10 bed bug bites so had to leave
- Peter (2/5): - The place is extremely rundown. It badly needs renovation.
- Rafael (4/5): - The place was dirty with a broken shower in the bathroom
But the location is very close to the beach at least
- emma (4/5): - The place is old, the bathroom is old and dirty, no toilet paper. The staff are not friendly and they are not helpful. I will not stay there again
- Maria Reyna (2/5): NAH - I wont reccomemd this place. Room was dirty, no hot water, shower is broken, need to use a water scooper to take a bath. Staff dont know how to smile and impolite to guest.
- Jeffrey (2/5): - The place is not clean, the water from the shower is not working properly. We used a pale to have a water for shower. The room is too old and cockroach are every. Staffs are not friendly. They don’t care about their guest. Will not recommed to any of my friends. They need a total renovations. And give training to your people for good service abd treating your guest properly
- Estrella (6/5): - parking is limited
- Edgardo (2/5): - The property is not worth the price. The faucet in the toilet won't stop dripping which cost us a sleepless stay in the hotel. The price is to expensive. I admit that the area is safe.
- Ryan (6/5): - Nice location. The beach is just a minute walk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the staff is not hospitable
- Josephine (4/5): - Room had cobwebs. Bed was sandy. No WiFi available in room; had to be by the reception office to get a WiFi signal, literally on the street. Tv was broken and was told that cable service is not available. No mirror in the room.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I love the location as its just less than a minute away from the beach. Room is okay. They have hot shower, aircon, tv is not working and that’s okay for me as we dont really stay there to watch tv. They also have free breakfast. I noticed some egg shell on their sunny side up. Spoon and fork were not that clean but they also offer plastics sfork. They also have free wifi. Im okay with the overall stay. Price is reasonable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - very dirty pillows, the bed sheet is actually not a bed sheet but just a super thin blanket, dirty rusty kitchen sink, bathroom, the view from the window was actually from the side of the building looks ugly coz its like warehouse. doesnt feel like you are in baguio staying in this place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Mabait po ang staff. Slamat po...
- Ian (10/5): - We enjoy our stay at this hotel.
- kimvherly (4/5): Not again. - The staff were accommodating but the hotel itself is the problem first is the dog with the very foul smell stayed outside our door, the hallway is always wet, then the zonrox smell all over the hallway and rooms which makes your head and nose hurt, no shampoo and soap, and no trash can.
- Chamille (10/5): Good place for a quick getaway - Very comfy. Budget friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Old room smell
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pretty okay place with the price. Room is decent enough quite spacious. Weird placement of furnitures though Super close to the beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was quiet. CR door hinge was rusty. Took a while for water in the sink to drain. Hot shower not working.
- Verified traveler (6/5): reasonable room rate, needs a little renovation - Fix the AC. The CR needs some renovation too. Also, please provide toiletries and at least a complimentary bottle of water.
- Meeh (8/5): - -Location is good near the beach and accessible to La Union tourist spot.
-Accommodating staff.
-Resort/Hotel Electrician should check/maintain good TV cable connection for customer convenient viewing while at rest.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No wifi signal inside the room, bucket are all over the place, television is blurry, air condition is poor, no complementary soap and shampoo.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We were so disappointed when we arrive the hotel and the room price was just half of what we paid for.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Does not match description in booking of hotel.com - Description of rooms, facilities, pictures do not match poor condition of place. No rooms ready upon checkin regular time; waiting with babies; rooms cleaned by OJT's and bathrooms barely passable; breakfast often ran out of simple choices; not on beach - had to walk down construction road.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - beach a little bit too far, staff are all accomodating
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If all you want is a place to lay your head, it was adequate. But the tv barely worked, very bad reception. There were no towels or toiletries in the room. We had to go to the office and get them. And it is supposed to be a beach resort, but their beach access was deplorable.
- Francis Patrick (8/5): Costa Villa a good place to stay - Rooms were very good. Strong A/C. Comfortable beds. Right on the beach. Suggestions for improvement: 1. Wifi only available in lobby. Extend to rooms. 2) The condensation from the A/C units kept the ground in the corridors between the rooms very wet. Drip pans under the A/C units or some other solution needs to be implemented.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room smells old
They didn’t put any air freshener
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room is okay so as the service. One I can suggest that needs improvement and/or update is the AC. The AC in our room (Room #31) is not functioning well/is not suitable to the room size.
- Neng (6/5): Hotel’s close to beach but hotel itself’s bad - Staffs is good but hotel itself is awful. No phone signal, the next day they brought us to another room, shower heater’s not functioning so we transfer again to our original room. Sobrang hassle talaga.
- elsa (6/5): Beach is within walking distance.
- Location is good. Accessible to surfing beach.
Bathroom is a bit claustrophobic & narrow for my liking. Wet corridor & steps coming from air conditioners. Tins not enough to catch the drips.
- Emma Ruth (6/5): Needs Improvement - The bedroom was not comfortable as our mattresses are so thin and will have to lay them on the floor. The towels are worn out. Need replacement already. The a/c is not cold. We borrowed cooking pot for cooking rice since there is no rice cooker but can easily burn the rice.. Though we love the location very close to the beach.
- Verified traveler (6/5): ok for last minute - place was okay
- Anne (6/5): Not what we expect - The room was not what we expected to be. There were lots of mosquitoes in the room, the comfort room looks and smells bad even if we sprayed air freshener. We stayed there for 1 night, before we leave, my partner discovered that there was a leak on the toilet causing the bad smell on the area. No reception on the tv that's why were not able to use it. There were also no hangers or somewhere we could hang our used towels.
- keo (6/5): Close to beach - Room was ok except for shower handle broken and sink broken away from wall, pool was being repaired so we couldn't use it .very basic breakfast
- Benz (4/5): They call a beach resorts? - When our first day in the hotel it's ok and they upgrade us to a bigger room for 4 hours then they move us out to a little room that's terrible.. and on thing more you have to bring your own Toilet paper & bath soap... one thing more it's says in their advistise with pool, but there's no swimming pool... I came from other country but is not like this... very disappointing.
- Cesar (2/5): Dirtiest place to stay - Ur hotel sucks!!!! There are worms inside the bathroom, shower drainage not draining, toilet is over flowing, dirty bed sheets, broken door and lot more!!!!! We will never stay in this hotel anymore. We will definitely post all these in social media. Php1800/ per night + php500 early check in is NOT worth in your hotel. Costa Villa Beach Resort is one of the dirtiest place to stay in San Juan!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Broken door knob, broken water heater, dirty bed sheet, lighting of room is bad. Service and maintenance request takes a long time. Understaffed.
- Ludivina (4/5): - The website stated there is a swimming pool but there was none. Facilities are old, bathroom not nice not even a place to hang clothes when taking bath.
- Verified traveler (6/5): The location on the beach was exceptional.
- The beach and the waves were amazing..
The room we had was not so much..
- eya (4/5): nothing to say - not accomodating, poor hygine failed to meet the standard criteria for cleanliness
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel area far from the beach. - staff should be in uniform. No tissue, mineral water given to the guests. Breakfast meal terrible. The place is still under construction, no safety notice, stairs slippery.
- Nazia (6/5): - Need maintenance
- Verified traveler (6/5): The location is great. But not the hotel. - The room light is dimmed. Wifi is not reaching every room to think that we are only 2 rooms away from the main office. I love the menu for lunch but not the free breakfast.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not as Advertised - I was very disappointed
- Daniel Bernardo (6/5): what you see is what you get - Stayed for only 7 hrs and the most disappointing part was cob webs in the shower and mosquitoes...breakfast was included but did not get it coz the chef wasn't there at all..they said breakfast ready at 6 and by 620am the rice nor hot water is not even ready...on the side staff were friendly
