- Verified traveler (6/5): Fair - Was just ok , very small television in room approximately 18 screens . Had to dine in a cold cafe type room for breakfast .
- Richard (10/5): Stopoff - Stayed for 1 night. Had a lovely spacious room with 2 aspects. Very comfortable, homely and spotless.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent.
We left regretting that we weren’t able to stay longer.
Had Avery good meal at Saffron in the town. Excellent Indian food with huge portions.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Friendly host, single room was very small.
- Richard (10/5): - Lovely food . Steve was a great host !
I found a top shortcut through the mountsins !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Host Steve is a total legend. I arrived cold and tired from a 130 mile 8.5hr bike ride. He already had the macaroni and beer on stand by!!
Room was uber comfortable and cosy. And really felt like i was the first to sleep in the bed Zzzz.
I will be back when next in the area.
Thank you so much

Check in was a bit rushed!

quiet location - undisturbed

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great friendly hotel in quiet location
TV reception very poor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic stay - Wonderfully relaxing stay. V comfortable and very welcoming hosts. Excellent breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Everything was excellent. The only reason I knocked a star off the room rating was because there was a continual buzzing noise through the night which was irritating and disturbed sleep. Excellent breakfast.
- Michelle (10/5): Fab well worth stay honest - Fantastic hotel from start to end only stayed one night
Couldn’t have been happier
- Jamie (10/5): A real find - The guest house is a spacious, airy and well-run place from which to explore Tweeddale and the Borders. We certainly hope to return :-)
- SANG AH (10/5): - The place was impeccable- the room was cozy, furnished to a high standard and you could really tell that they care about the guests' comfort. The breakfast was delicious, the service was great, the hosts friendly, and the town itself historic, quiet and full of nature all around. Mostly impressively clean were the sheets, gown, towels and we slept well as well. Will definitely stay here again if I am on the way!
- Raz (10/5): good - Generally good stay
Bath Room is built into the room looks like taking space from the room and hard ventilation
When registering to the room a couple of days before arrival I was charges 20 Pounds directly by the hotel
When Checking Out I was charged 55 pound
Together it was 75 pounds , but the Hotel Owner said I got a reduction and that's why I pay only 55 pound
Hotels.com specified the price is 75 pounds
So what actually did I need to pay
- P (10/5): Nice B&B in quiet town - Very pleasant owner. Quite a nice breakfast. Arrived early and was greeted and arrangements were made to accommodate. Easy access to parking off street. Nice Indian restaurant also in the town - highly recommended.
- Steve (10/5): Great place - Caddon veiw is in a beautiful location, was welcomed by Steve, room was lovely and clean. Food was great. Service is great in fact next time we go to Scotland we will probably stay at Caddon again. Also noticed it was much cleaner then the last hotel we stayed in ( Hilton )
- Andrew (10/5): Beautiful building, friendly staff - Lovely stay, good location, everything was perfect.
- Bryan (10/5): Quality - A lovely place to stay
If u want quality look no moor
- David (4/5): - Breakfasts were excellent. Parking was very tight. No fresh towels provided during stay. No restocking of amenities (tissues, cookies, tea bags, etc.) Did not make themselves available for local knowledge (not warm and friendly). Immediate greeting was to tell us all the things we didn't do by email during the booking process. Noise on ground level room was awful as room is immediately beside front door. B&B is also right on the highway and subject to traffic noise and that was not clear in advertisement. Room was clean but very worn furniture. Ventilation was inadequate and tight quarters in bathroom (claustrophobic).
- Verified traveler (6/5): Historic B&B - Recently stayed at the Caddon View in Innerleithen. I arrived earlier than planned and only had to wait a few minutes for my room to be ready. While the room was comfortable, the location wasn't ideal; street facing & by the main entrance used by all guests to enter/exit the property. As a result, if you're a light sleeper verify the location of your room.
The breakfast was delicious and available until 10a daily.
The room was equipped with a private bathroom (shower stall), a kettle with cups, tea/coffee, hot chocolate, milk (real milk, not milkettes) and biscuits. TV and radio.
- Anna (10/5): Great guest house! - Lovely guest house. Fantastic full breakfast set us up for the day, and some great tips from our hosts for our ongoing journey. Room was comfortable and very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. Owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay
- April (8/5): Nice B and B lovely area - Relaxing break lots to do nearby had a trip around a nearby Loch. Had a trip into Peebles and surroundings area .
- Kate (10/5): Traditional hotel with plenty of character - Originally built as a Victorian doctor's surgery, this hotel was sturdy, elegant and well-appointed. The owners were welcoming and very friendly, with plenty of suggestions for where to eat in the evening. Breakfast next day was served swiftly and efficiently and was very good.
- samira (10/5): amazing - One of my best experiences in my life!
Very friendly and warm atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good value
- The Taylors (10/5): Centrally located, well insulated & quiet. - From our initial contact with owner/chef, to the luxe linens, tea upon arrival & delicious full breakfast this stay has raised the bar for all of our future stays in Scotland & Great Britain.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely stay - Kind and helpful staff, clean room with lots of facilities. The drawing room was great and the breakfast was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend!
- Verified traveler (6/5): short getaway in beautiful surroundings - Small friendly hotel. We'll appointed and comfortable. Superb breakfast. Best black pudding ever.
- William (8/5): - Spent 2 nights at Caddon View. Room very comfortable and breakfasts very good. Lovely part of Scotland especially in the Autumn with the trees so colourful. Would not hesitate to use Caddon View on a future visit.
- Chris (10/5): Excellent and relaxing - We had a lovely relaxing time, the room was a superior room and it certainly lived up to it's name. The breakfast was excellent, we also decided to have a evening meal and this was outstanding. We will go back and highly recommend the guest house.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Mixed Feelings. - We didn't have a completely unpleasant stay at Caddon View; The host, Steve, was nice and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately we found the bed/mattress uncomfortable and the room very small. The waitress(es) seemed to be lacking warmth as if they didn't really want to be there - no small talk or banter. The guest house tried to be grand but, to me, seemed to be a thin veneer mask over something less classy. I wouldn't stay again but, like I said, perhaps i'm being just fussy. On the plus side, absolutely charming countryside and surroundings.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Super - Perfect overnight stop.
- David (10/5): Wonderful hotel, cannot fault it - Fantastic hotel. Only 8 rooms so it is very homely and personal. Lisa and Steve were wonderful hosts, taking the time to talk to every guest. We had already made other plans so didn't have an evening meal at the hotel, but the breakfasts were superb, fresh food, very tasty and a good choice to suit everyone.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect stay! - Beautiful place! Steve and Lisa were so friendly and helpful!
- Richard (10/5): Excellent - A lovely hotel set in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Great Food and very reasonably priced.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine B&B near Traquair - Friendly and helpful host. Lovely in-town B&B.
- Luke (10/5): Top Guest House! - Having read previous reviews we stayed 3 nights and were not disappointed. Great hospitality shown by owners Lisa and Steve, and the food on offer is simply outstanding, the 3 course meal is superbly cooked by Steve, it's a must if you are staying and menu changes daily.
The superior room on 1st floor was huge with lovely view over Caddon Bank mtb trail, which is only few mins bike away. If I was going to say anything that could be improved it would be the shower could be more powerful as it's only electric but this is a minor gripe!
Also worth a mention for the local curry house down the road, probably had one of the best starters in any curry house I've been to, and I've lived in Leeds / Bradford area so have sampled quite a few!
