Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good apartment for a family of 5. The only small issues was not every tv had a remote control. There was a strong smell of wet dogs in the corridor and stairs.
- Miguel (4/5): Hallway of hell - Really dissapointed With this property. The stairwell leading up to the property (4th floor was disgusting to say the least. The smell was horrendous and no lift. I had to carry all the suitcases for me my partner and 4 kids up to the 4th floor. Once inside the property the small from the corridor could still be smelt and the bathrooms were dated and smelt damp. Only one shower worked (in a fashion) from being scalded to the freezing trying to shower 6 of us was an experience to say the least. I won’t be rushing back here and would recommend not using this property.
- Dominique (8/5): Good location - Great location. Clean and very spacious apartment. We stayed in Flat 4 much bigger than we expected for the price we paid. Had to collect keys from a different address/ wasn’t that difficult as other reviews had said. Didn’t see the check in time restriction when booked but was easy enough to pay an additional £25 for late check in. The location was perfect - only slight negative is it was very noisy in the night from outside into early hours of the morning and also from 6am with deliveries to businesses. Would def stay again though.
- R7695QUtheok (4/5): Highly disappointed - We normally stay in hotels but thought we would try something different and stay in this apartment on sir Thomas street in Liverpool.but will definitely be in hotels next time
1. Pickup of the keys is a 15 min walk from the apartment. Yes we are told this but it is still very frustrating
2. Very smelly. The corridor is very smelly. We had to hold our breath going up the stairs. I can’t place what it is. Urine?poo?stale smoke? I’m not sure but whatever it is. It’s not nice at all.
3. Very noisy, yes we are in a city center so it’s going to be. But the apartment windows are old and outdated and have no sound proofing whatsoever. There was 2 old lady’s crossing the road and we could hear their conversation.which makes it hard to sleep when people are walking back from night out
4. Doors slam, there is no way for the doors to shut slowly. As soon as you let go of an open door it slams shut and is very noisy. The front door is very heavy to, which makes it hard to open when got luggage and bags.
5. We stayed in apartment 2 and it was very poor. The wardrobe has a slit in it, holes in walls. One of the dining room chairs legs was broke. The toilet was constantly trickling so was hard to sleep as they are en-suites.
6. The tv. To top it off the tv didn’t work. We came as a family so was planning on watching movies etc. and the tv didn’t work. There was sound coming out but no picture. We rang the offices but they were shut so we rang the other number and he did come and look at it for us and the following morning he sorted us out with a new one.
The guys at checkin are very polite and have really good customer service but the quality’s were just really poor.
Wont be staying again
- Alex (10/5): - Great apartment in a great location 👍
- Darren (10/5): Fab stay in the heart of Liverpool - Super clean and spacious for our family of 5. Excellent location! Right in the middle of everything. Well equiped with microwave, cutelry, crockery, oven, fridge, washing machine, hair dryer, iron etc. One thing we wanted to do was dispose of trash/glass bottles but didnt know where to do that. Might be just us but we like to tidy before we leave. Overall a very comfortable stay right in the heart of Liverpool. We will be back!!
- Natalia (6/5): - Amazing location. Difficult to get in, 5th floor, no lift. Terrible maintenance of the stairs to get in to the flat, unbearable smell. The flat has a backyard, dirty, no maintenance. Besides that, comfortable, rooms and bathrooms cleaned.
- Lauren (2/5): Will not return and do not recommend. - Check in is hard work in a different building, lack of parking, poor contact from the apartment using hotels.com, over pressuring for insurance/deposit in an already bashed about apartment. Communal stairwell is foul and smells of human faeces. Do not recommend and would not return.
- Ka Wai (8/5): - 鄰近購物中心
- Ruth (8/5): - Really well placed in central Liverpool for a one night stay. Apartment had all you needed - balcony was great (apart from the nesting seagull).
We did stay there on the hottest day of the year but with no air conditioning and being on the top floor it was extremely and uncomfortably hot.
Also a bit of a walk from checking in and picking up the keys and then over to the apartment. Staff were helpful.
- Chris (6/5): Mixed but honest review. - First inconvenience is you have to travel to the other side of town to collect the keys.
Not sure if I missed this when booking but I don’t recall seeing that mentioned.
The location of the apartment is excellent.
Second point, as you enter the properly you’re hit by a horrid smell that is there in all the communal/stairs areas. Once inside the apartment, the smell does go.
Third point, it’s advertised as being suitable for 8 people ( 2 on a sofa bed). There was no sheet for the very old and broken sofa bed, although when we told the management they did send two very pleasant ladies to drop that off for us.
There was nothing that could be done with the broken sofa bed so we had to prop it up with cushions to try and at least get it level and fit for some type use.
There is also no bathroom access for the people staying on the sofa bed except for accessing one of the on suites in the bedrooms. Not ideal when you’re 4 couples.
The three bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
I tried to organise what I consider fair compensation with the management company asking for a 25% refund as I didn’t think it fair that the couple who stayed on the broken sofa bed should be asked to pay.
They left the property very early as they couldn’t sleep!
Their first offer was a free late check at 11am 😂. This was declined although they did finally make an of £50 off which I’ve also declined and will take up with hotels.com as advised.
- Mark (6/5): - Good location but no parking. Having to pick the keys up from another location isnt ideal.
The apartment was nice but only the radiator in the corridor seemed to work and the master bedroom with en suite was cold all the time even though the radiator was turned up to full.
Nice lounge and kitchen unless you’re trying to sleep on the sofa bed. There are no blinds or curtains on the massive patio doors so there’s no way if blocking the sunlight in the morning.
- Rebecca (4/5): - Second time staying and the apartment bedrooms were lovely but the living & kitchen area need updating lots of damage to cupboards , sofa and chairs .
- Hyun ju (8/5): - Very good location and good to stay for family. Only bad thing is to need front stair. Very bad smelling after open the front door.
Office opened by 6 pm. And far distance from the property.
- Zina (8/5): - Very pleasant, neat, tidy, clean, central to all hot spots.. Apartment can do with new curtains, furniture and a few pictures on the walls for a more homely atmosphere and 2 of the showers need new showerheads
Overall happy with the apartment. Thank you
- nataliejX6901GG (8/5): Very clean - Lovely apartment, very clean and great area. Only downside is, there is no free parking and there is no lift/elevator, being with a 5 year old on the top floor and walking 5 flights of stairs after a long day and carrying cases etc isn't ideal. We booked an apartment with 2 double beds and 1 single and ended up with 2 double and a pull out couch which was a massive let down but other than those, it's a great place.
- paulapurplecurran (8/5): Lovely Apartment - Great apartment, very clean, great kitchen (all utensils available) lovely bedrooms, very modern. Only downside is there is no lift and anyone who has any mobility issues would find it difficult to climb the stairs
- Paulalou16 (2/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND - Can’t even put in to words how much I do not recommend this accommodation. I’ve actually stayed at Base serviced numerous times in Liverpool and never had an issue until I booked two apartments in 2019 way before the pandemic hit for summer 2020. When it was clear we weren’t able to go due to travel and ‘bubble’ restrictions I made several attempts to get in touch with establishment. Ignored emails, calls, eventually had to raise dispute through booking and got nowhere. Only willing to postpone in 2020 which none of us were happy doing due to pandemic and despite several attempts pleading to accept a postponement to 2021. Their customer service is appalling. I am now raising the dispute with my credit card to avoid further contact. They have no regard for their customers. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!
- McSped (2/5): Do not recommend - no communication - Me and my friends were suppose to be here last weekend (5th June) Based Serviced Apartments were unfortunately closed so obviously we were unable to stay. We have been trying to contact them for weeks to see what our options were, emailed every day and left messages. We never even received a standard coronavirus email to say that someone would be in touch in due course. I’m very unhappy with their customer service especially as they were messaging with quick replies when booking it and paying £651. I think it is quite shocking and its not just us as have read a couple of other reviews saying the same.
- John_London_1965 (2/5): DO NOT RECOMMEND - My wife and I were due to stay here earlier this month for our anniversary. Based Serviced Apartments were unfortunately closed so we were unable to stay. We have been trying to contact them for weeks to either have our money refunded or stay a different date. I am really unhappy with the customer service and the fact they have several hundred pounds of ours and our unwilling to reschedule or refund us.
- tigerking87 (2/5): Owes us £1,500 - We paid £1,500 for two apartments and were due to stay here. They closed so we were unable to stay. They will not answer calls/emails and have not refunded us the £1,500. I was really looking forward to staying here as the apartments looked lovely from the pictures but their customer service has been appalling.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Shower unfit for use. Barely a trickle of water. Door locks are not sturdy
- revans892020 (10/5): Hen party weekend - We recently stayed at the base apartments and couldn’t fault a thing! Apartment was just amazing! We loved it! Rooms clean and spacious with lovely top floor balcony views! We all had a great stay and would definitely recommend!
- Colber (6/5): Disappointing - I am a regular visitor to Liverpool and thought that I would try the Base Apartment in Sir Thomas Street.
The apartment is located above the Victoria Cross pub and is accessed from an unmarked adjacent to the pub.
I was not aware at the time of booking that I had to make time, drive to their offices to pick up the key, find street parking (and pay for parking whilst doing so). They did call me to inform me of this, but it was not clear at time of booking.
The staff were friendly and helpful, however the layout and location of the apartment made it noisy. Whilst there was little that the owners could do about the early morning street cleaning, splitting the apartment into three independent bedrooms meant that there was noise though the night with corridor and bedroom doors banging. This could be partially allowed for in the costs of the room
My main frustration was that thee apartment was advertised free cancellation. When I checked with a few days to go, I found that the opportunity to cancel had lapsed four or five days prior to my stay. This was unlike all my other bookings on Hotels.com. Most offer free cancellation within a day or so and several helpfully on the same day, if you genuinely need to cancel.
It is something to consider when booking as it meant that it did not give me the flexibility that I needed.
Whilst I appreciated a follow up call from Base, quoting me the terms and conditions of my stay added further disappointment.
I doubt I will stay here again.
- ellieb427 (2/5): Not worth it! - Stayed in the standard double bedroom with en-suite and I’m not sure what the apartments are like but the room was terrible. The shower was so small and weak I couldn’t wash my hair properly and the bed (and pillows) were rock solid to the point where we struggled to sleep. The room is small and is in serious need of refurbishment. The TV is about 14 inches and the remote is stuck together by cellotape. The only thing worthwhile about this property is the excellent location.
- rosiej150 (10/5): Great stay! - I would reccomend to big groups, draw straws on who gets the sofa bed as this was the noisiest room through the night as it appears the windows was very thin. Other than that, the apartment was Fab, each room had its own en suite with towels provided, everywhere was clean and spacious. We really would stay here again. Everywhere was within walking distance, if not it was easy to flag down a taxi or an uber! Slight downfall the check in was a bit of a mission away. We had my aunty with us who has heart failure so it didn't make life to easy for us, but we worked around it. All round great stay, we did one night only to wish we'd of Done 2!
- Roger (10/5): - Mye trapper opp til leilighet 4. Store soverom og fin stue/kjøkken. Sentralt.
- 8anon31 (10/5): Incredible as always!!! - We’ve stayed with Base a few times but this was our first time at their Sir Thomas Street location. We got our usual friendly welcome on check-in and had a mooch through Liverpool One on the way to the apartment, which was spotless as always. The apartment was very modern and spacious, and we loved having an en-suite in every bedroom! The location was perfect, everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We love coming back to Liverpool and we love coming back to Base, maybe we’ll try their apartments at The Docks on our next visit!
- 853majai (2/5): Never again - The 4 of us stayed at the Sir Thomas Street penthouse for just one night (January 2nd). First let me point out to you that you have to go get the keys at a totally separate and distant location at 136 Duke Street (at least a 20 minute walk between locations), and that when you get there you won't at first find their offices because they are not actually at that address! You get to a nondescript building entrance which leads into a closed off courtyard surrounded by apartments. After a 10 minute search we finally noticed a small sign high above the entrance with a confusing arrow telling us to go around the building (into a different street!) and to the actual office. The guy at the reception was nice and friendly, we checked in and then went to the apartment. They warn you about the stairs, but to me it should have been even more clear, because it's a serious climb. The stairs are fairly narrow and really steep, and there are hundreds of them (I had to rest half way up every time before getting to the 5th floor), so if you have any sort of luggage don't stay here. The doors are super heavy and there is no way you can quietly close them (which is interesting for a place that gives out fines for being loud). The apartment looks exactly as you see it in the pictures, but that's about the only positive thing about it. The living room/kitchen has an entire wall of glass panels, and absolutely not one heating element in the vast room. We were there January 2nd and we absolutely froze our butts off!! The only (just one!) radiator for the entire living room, kitchen and main hallway space is in the hallway and it's useless! The two bedrooms have a radiator each and they heat up pretty nicely, but the heating system obviously has a timer of some sort we didn't know about, so it turned off during the night! We woke up with no heating and no hot water!!! The night before when all 4 of us wanted to take a shower it turned out to be a production, because one of the two showers is so small, and the glass wall so short even a small child wouldn't be able to pull that off. We didn't get hand towels, there were no dish-washing sponges (so you can't really use the dishes or glasses), the instant coffee in individual packages is really a lottery, because my brother-in-law got a fresh one, but my husband opened up a bad one (until then I didn't even know instant coffee can rot away like that), the doors and stairs all creak and groan, the low and slanted ceilings might look romantic and cool but believe me they are a nuisance. All four of us cracked our heads against the low ceiling, and especially the crank handles that you use to open the windows (be very afraid of those, they are steel and stick so far out away from the window that you cannot escape them)!! The handles are otherwise totally useless because it takes you about 15 minutes turning the things to get the window open a mere inch, and they make a bloodcurdling noise while doing so. The beds are super high, so they go right up to the low ceiling and those window handles, which are a true hazard. We were painfully woken up by a flock of seagulls that landed on our penthouse windows at around 7:30 AM and started screeching and fighting on the rooftop right above our bed. But all of this is just nothing compared to what happened at about 10 AM that same morning. Fortunately, all four of us were up by then. The (smoke or heat?) alarm went off in the main stairway, and it was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talking. We checked every room, and saw that nothing was wrong, we then checked the stairway, but there was no smoke or anything out of the ordinary. The alarm blasted for about 10 minutes when I finally recognized that I would have to be the one to take action (there are a number of apartments in the building, but nobody did anything), so I called the reception at Duke Street and told the guy there what was happening. He asked me if we triggered it somehow, and I said no, so he asked me if it was coming from the stairway, and I said yes. He said he'd send someone right away, and I thought it would be their maintenance guy. I was wrong. He sent a full company of firefighters, two big trucks with firefighters in full gear. We got a knock on the door, the firefighter talked to my sister, determined there was nothing at all wrong, and then he went down to the main switch and killed the alarm. This all took about 40 minutes, during which the alarm woke half the neighborhood. To sum up, if you are looking for a nice place (they advertise a 4 star accommodation, which they most certainly are not) that is close to The Cavern, LP One and other sites, simply book a hotel.
- HayleyR1977 (8/5): Great apartments , but travel for key collection - Great apartments , but key collection was terrible , its quite a distance to collect keys and then walk back to apartment
Also didnt recieve the carpark voucher for the car park that you recommend as its given on departure but no staff on departure
- David (6/5): - Ok 👌 stay was on fourth floor, no lift and had to pick keys up from a distant place to the location I stayed
- 99alisonw (10/5): Great spacious flat - Location was spot on for shopping/bars/ restaurant it was right in the middle of the city, had everything you needed a iron, ironing board, towels, hair dryer, all ensuite ETC, was very quiet considering we were in the city Centre
- Maureen (8/5): Perfect location. - Great location although the stairs are hard work after a day or night on your feet
It would have helped to have tea towels to dry dishes.
Apartment cold at times, being able to turn heat on and off ourselves when needed would have been great
- 33traceyp (10/5): Fantastic apartment - The location and facilities were great. The apartment was huge with loads of space for 6 girls. Beds were really comfortable and apartment felt secure with a locked gated entry. Would definitely recommend!
- stephenmitchell1962 (10/5): Excellent stay ideal location - Great place to stay clean modern and very close to city centre will be returning all bedrooms en-suite apartment was like being in a converted warehouse everyone rated this the best stay in Liverpool and we cannot wait to stay again all 7 of us
- shar0nr0e (8/5): Good value and quirky apartment. - The apartment is clean, well located and well equipped. However it’s at the top of 5 flights of stairs, which was fine for us, but no good for anyone with mobility issues. The key needs to be obtained from another location.
- sgr368 (6/5): Appartment - there was no heat in the living room and the drain in bathroom was blocked, also we reported that table in living room was broken, We where told that someone would come Saturday to fix it, but nobody came and when we left Monday 11.00 , still nothing was fixed
- Verified traveler (2/5): No fun no problem stay here! - It was my first night away with my wife (married that weekend) the place ensured we never had physical relation on our first marital night! Very angry! Don’t recommend, but you do get what you pay for!
- 56calvinc (10/5): Great City and the accommodation was spot on - I stayed with Base a few years ago in Chester and this time while visiting Liverpool i booked to stay with them again.
They offered me a discounted rate as a return guest :)
I stayed at their Sir Thomas Apartments. I came with my family so it was handy to have the apartment with three bathrooms. Overall the flat was clean and comfortable.
Wife was able to cook a meal for the family on one of the nights, the kitchen was well equipped.
The living room was spacious and plenty of space for all to sit after the meal.
Checking in was pretty straight forward, they did make a point to tell me that keys were to be collected from their office, once i got there, the reception staff was informative and very helpful, they helped me booked a Anfield stadium tour for the whole family :D
I will definitely be staying again with these folks :D
- Avril (10/5): - Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Apartment was so central. Exactly what we wanted. Spotless. Would highly recommend to people
- Donrobb (2/5): Noan Apartment...A bedroom!!! - Myself and my husband come to Liverpool quite often but this has to be the worst place we have ever stayed.....we thought we had booked an apartment but in actual fact it was a cramped bedroom.
To give a positive spin on it the room was relatively clean but the whole building smelt of foist and the fresheners they have situated just make the smell worse.
The room was minute.....i could step out of bed into the bathroom. Shower was awful...just piddled water out and i felt like i hadn't had one.
There were 2 towels left on the bed and no hand towels....by the 2nd day...the bathmat was soaking wet.
There was hardly any room to walk at the bottom of the bed.
The furniture was quite modern...which was a plus.
The management company rang before our stay to warn us it was noisy with traffic being in the middle of the city....NOONE told us of the traffic works right outside with workmen working most of the night with their drills and diggers...NOT AMUSED!!!!
Staying in the center of town was handy as we didn't need to use ubers or taxis but the walk from the cavern area home was scary with homeless people begging. One man tried to steal my husbands pizza and when he couldn't get it knocked it out of his hand sending pizza and his phone flying over the road. We did give to the homeless but you can't give to everyone...needs to be policed more.
In all a good a handy place to stay but my worst stay ever.....never again will i stay here...im going back to where i normally stay.
- Dawn (8/5): Night away - Was easy to find, discount off parking nearby. The room was central to the night life. Only negative was shower cubicle was a bit small for my other half
- Kimberley (6/5): Hot and Noisy - We have lived in Liverpool before for 3 years so we knew there would be city centre noise but we didn’t sleep a wink of the 2 nights because there was roadworks directly outside as well as 2am roadsweepers. The noise was ridiculous. We had to have the window open because the room was so hot and there was no fans provided in the room, this should be a necessity in the summer. Would not recommend
- annette (10/5): Wonderful Appartment - Great Trip
- Patricia (8/5): Comfortable & clean - Great location. Bedrooms were comfortable & clean. Lounge a bit small. Well equipped kitchen although no dishwasher. On top floor so not easy without a lift.
- Tony (10/5): - Staff at checkin were superb - helpful and informative
- Clare (6/5): Ok for a night out stay - The booking in process was not great as you have to go to a separate office for this which I found hard to find and when I got there there was a long queue of people trying to book in also. When I was eventually served I was told that my room was not ready, even though by this time it was later than the 3pm booking time, and they could not give me a time that it would be ready, I was just told not to go there until they called me. I had travelled for nearly 3 hours and don’t know Liverpool well so this was less than Ideal! I got a call about an hour later to say it was ready!! Service was otherwise friendly.
There is no car parking but it wasn’t too far away so not too bad
There is no lift which I had been warned about but there were lots of stairs to the 3rd floor I was on
I was worried about security of my room as the key given fits the outside door to get in to the apartment block, the door to the apartment that is shared and my room was in and my room!
The building is on a main road so can be very noisy, the windows are old sash windows that don’t block noise out and rattled all night.
The room itself was clean and nice. It is basic but ok for one night.
The TV was broken so it had to be propped up to be able to watch it and the shower was either very hot or cold and the headboard was lose otherwise the bed was comfortable.
Location to town was great
I don’t usually leave reviews but felt I should in this case.
- Suzanne (10/5): Lush living - Apartment was beautiful and well equipped. Lovely bedrooms each with a bathroom. Would definitely recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good apartment in central position. - Lovely apartment which was really comfortable and clean. Could do with a couple of things upgrading including shower which had no power and ironing board which had seen better days. Other than that a perfect spot in the centre of Liverpool.
- Robert (4/5): Not good - Room was way too small. A double room with a metre on either side of the small double bed an 2 metres from the foot of the bed to the wall. No seating area one kitchen style chair. Not good. Very clean and good location except for the street noise, its on a major bus route with 3 stops within 100 metres so very noisy
- Remi (10/5): Sentral og sosial leilighet - Sentralt og perfekt for venner/par å benytte denne leiligheten under weekend i Liverpool.
- Faye (8/5): Great apartment, check in arrangements poor - Check in arrangements aren’t very good, you have to collect your key from apartments that are about 3 miles away, there is no lift so for us stopping in the penthouse on the 5th floor was a little gruelling, but apartment was lovely, finished to an extremely high standard & very well equipped.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - The apartments were very clean and the beds were incredibly comfy. The lounge area was perfect for a group of friends with a nice, modern kitchen.
The only Downside was we couldn’t get the radiators to work and collecting the keys from a different place. We got a taxi to the hotel as it was so cold from the main Reception which was only £2.90 so wasn’t an issue. The man at the reception was very helpful and friendly too. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location. - Only really spent evenings in there, the room felt very cheap, the bed moved(no headboard), shower was very weak. The walls were paper thin, you can really hear other guests enjoying there time...
- Stephen (6/5): - Room was comfortable and clean but TV was very poor, no WiFi, small and not what it stated on website.
- robert (10/5): Great position - Lovely clean nice room, great position. Only problem as others have stated is getting the key from the office approx half a mile away, But worth the walk!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent base for a exploring Liverpool - Excellent stay. Lovely apartment, the only drawback was having to trek across Liverpool to get the key and then trek back to the other side of the city to the apartment. It would be good if some agreement could be made with the pub downstairs to collect the key from them, the holding deposit could be done via the internet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): cosy apartment - The apartment is conveniently located, near Lime Street Station and major shopping area. The open kitchen is well equipped.
- Craig (10/5): Nice apartment, great location - We are a family of 5 and stayed for only one night. the apartment was perfect for us in a great location. Its above a pub, but it wasn't noisy.
Lovely corner position overlooking the streets below and really handy for the sites around the dockside and Liverpool one. I would recommend highly.
Some reviews have mentioned the hassle of getting the keys but we found know trouble with this and knew what to expect.
- Elaine (10/5): Liverpool Birthday Bash - 5 Ladies staying here for the weekend. Was well worth negotiating all the steps to the Penthouse the view was lovely. Well set out spacious apartment well big enough for 6 people. Very clean on arrival with lovely towels. Easy process to collect the keys on the way in and leave them inside the apartment on leaving. Thank you very much.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Stayed in the penthouse good location apartment good but 5 flights of stairs and no lift was a negative also hold card details for 5 - 10 days
- Verified traveler (10/5): Worth to stay - Comfortable, marvelous neighbourhood, home feel.
- Marilyn (6/5): Great location. Ear plugs essential! - Lovely apartment with large bedrooms, comfortable furniture and very pleasant reception staff. Two reasons it didn't get five stars was lack of dishwasher (at £150 a night more or less an essential rather than a luxury) and lack of sound proofing. On a Friday and Saturday you can expect loudness from the street below until about 6am, then followed by the excellent council clean up.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Avoid this place! Check in extremely complicated and accommodation was not as advertised.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was very nice but the checking in process I found to be very inconvenient. I had to walk quite far to another location to pick up the keys and then walk again about 20 minutes to the apartment with luggage I found this to be quite hard after a long journey. The wifi was also not working.
- Amanda (10/5): Stylish, affordable apartments near city centre. - Overall, I don't have any major complaints about my stay in these apartments. They are spacious, well designed, and cheaply priced when split with a group. I came here for a long weekend, found the check-in procedures a bit tedious but not too difficult (keys are picked up from a separate location across town). We were in the 3 bed apartment, which was perfect for our group of 7. Each bedroom felt like an individual hotel room with an ensuite, and the main lounge/kitchen/dining combo was great to socialize in. All the main Liverpool attractions are within walking distance of the apartment, and we all felt safe and comfortable our whole stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): business stop over - Bit of a pain having to get keys from another location. Was pretty noisey from 6am.
- Kamran (6/5): Excellent location - I had a two Nights stay by myself. Everything was fine, and I can recommend this flat, mostly because og its location near to city centre.
The only downside is that you have to pick up the keys from somewhere else, and it's NOT a short walk, especially if you're carrying luggage
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wrong accomodation - This was not the accomodation I wanted to book. We were then sent accross the city to find an office to check in. We were met with poor service and the shock of paying a deposit on accomodation we had already paid for. Overall a poor experience which I would not recommend to anyone.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Don't forget the bollards... - booked the penthouse suite and arranged parking. Got to the street where the car park was and discovered it had bollards after 6pm. When i called the office they seemed to know nothing about it. I eventually went up a one way street the wrong way to get to the car park. Penthouse was amazing however it is 5 floors up with no lift. Really central to everything.
- Jonny Boy (6/5): Nice but noisy - The room was pleasant and had most things needed. Could do with aircon as you are right on top of a main road so having the window open is a no go. Great customer service apart from have to collect the key from the other side of Liverpool
- Verified traveler (8/5): Could be better organized - Nice apartment which I stayed in for two days, very central and well decorated. Expect some trailing about to collect keys which is 15 mins walk across town and there is no elevator at the apartment building which is not mentioned and so is hard work with a big case.
- Verified traveler (2/5): ID - Not only is the reception miles away from the actual address, but once there they wouldn't let me stay without photographic ID. Too make matters worse, they wouldn't give me a refund.
