- Jeremy (6/5): - Compared to other areas, the location is quite bleak and uninspiring. The overall set up i.e. having the apartments across the road from the reception / restaurant does not provide a welcoming, secure feel and results in a feeling of isolation. While the room was adequate and clean, the location on the second floor (with no lift) was very inconvenient. Also, the fact that pigeons were living in the roof space and were depositing excrement all over the hand rails / stairs significantly down grades this facility.

Staff was pleasant but not helpful. We needed to return from our trip to Normandy. We called and the man on the phone was rude!
- Andrew (10/5): Wonderful French Coastal Experience - Wonderful experience close to all the WW2 sites we came to see. Tucked away approx 100 yards from the beach. 5 min walk to Juno Beach Centre. Small, comfortable and clean. Staff were very pleasant, and the breakfast was simple but fresh and filling.
- Rick (10/5): - We were driving, so parking was free and easy. Juno Beach was reason for visit and it's walking distance from hotel. Go to sleep with sound of waves, very peaceful. And food, supplies all within easy walk. Beach has promenade to walk on.
- ROBERT (10/5): - The part of the hotel that we stayed in set back from the road and was very private with safe and ample parking. The beach was across the street down a path. Restaurants were minutes away by foot and there were many to choose from.My only complaint was (typical of European Hotels) the room was small but that really didn’t matter as we were touring all day. Great place to stay.

- J Murray (6/5): - The room we booked is advertised as a "double room, garden view, annex building" but unfortunately there are no windows and only a door to a tiny balcony for natural light - not much of a garden view. The room is crowded and it is virtually impossible to navigate around the bed and furniture. How a family of 4 would survive in these rooms is beyond me as there are only beds - no chairs. The rooms are stuffy and lack air circulation and the bathroom while very modern is tiny. Additionally, the lights are simply ceiling and wall spotlights which are blinding. The only other lights are two tiny reading lights on flexible stems on the headboard of the bed that barely illuminate anything so its either 10,000 watts of light or pitch black Really poorly thought out. I would bet the designer of that room has never slept in a hotel for any length of time.

- christian (8/5): Nice rooms! - I booked 1 night thinking I’d be right next to the beach. Garden view is actually a separate cottage 300m 2 blocks away. Everything seems very recent and well renovated, very comfortable. I would not hesitate to go back however, it would be nice to know that the actual hotel location is not like on the map. I had dinner at the restaurant which is in the main building by the beach. It was quite good but service was a bit long and food was a bit pricey.

- Tatiana (10/5): Beach hotel with an excellent restaurant - Many local folks and tourists seem to come to this hotel for dinner. I recommend it for dinner too, excellent food. The location is right on the beach. The only inconvenience is access to certain rooms, which has to be through the restaurant, which is really weird, especially when I had to take my dog out and had to squeeze between the tables. Recommended otherwise.

- Natasha (10/5): - You need to know where the rooms are; on the map, it looks right on the beach, and the rooms have sea views. However, when they say “Côté jardin”, it’s another building, a few doors down and across the street. If you get a room on the second floor, there is no elevator so be aware. These are just practical tips, don’t let it scare you away. The place was great, still mere metres from the beach, very clean, the breakfast was nice, the staff is excellent. Make sure to try their restaurant, it is great. We had a family room, with twin beds in a loft, which the kids loved. It’s a nice walk to the Juno Beach centre, which every Canadian has to see once. In the morning there is a fish market, giving you a local vibe.

- Michael (4/5): Disappointing - The room was not as expected. It said garden view, which gives the impression of ground floor or a view of a gatden. There was no lift. 2 flights of stairs with luggage. No garden view, only view of next door's house roof from the 2nd floor. No continental breakfast, only a €16 pp buffet option, where we were told to pig out to get value. Very poor WiFi Generally i big disappointment.

My colleague was in a room with a loft, the other had a room with a little garden. We reserved dinner as well and liked how engaging the waiter was. I do speak fluent French which made interactions much smoother.
- Matt (8/5): In the middle of everything - Nice hotel in the middle of Juno Beach. Great spot to visit the Canadian Memorials. The hotel is spread out to multiple buildings that are close to the main reception/restaurant building and are easy to get to.

Pleasant garden area as only very small balcony. Easy walk to seafront and plenty of restaurants.

- Darla (8/5): - The location of the rooms in the hotel is ideal. Right overlooking the beach with great views. Be careful because I think they also own a property just off the beach called the residences which will not have ocean views. The room was very spacious, tidy, and comfortable and the bathroom was modern and updated and clean. The arrangement is a little odd-- one checks in at the restaurant desk and walks through the restaurant diners to get up to the rooms. No elevator, you'll be lugging suitcases up multiple staircases. The stairwell and at times the room itself smelled odd-- like seafood or other smells wafting up from the kitchen below. The first night of our stay it was cool outside, so we closed the windows while we slept and the smells in the room that accumulated from below were terrible. So, windows open the next two nights. There is no AC, but even in July we were okay. We did have a little portable fan with us. The area around the hotel is lovely and lively.
- Travis (4/5): - Not great. It is a tired facility that lacks many of the usual amenities. I would not recommend staying in Courseulles unless you absolutely had to. Bayeux is a better location in my opinion.

- cole (10/5): - If your goal is to tour the Normandy beaches (the hotel is located on Juno) this is the perfect choice. The superior beach front room large actually a suite with that would be excellent for an extended stay. The restaurant overlooks the beach and it has a good selection and was extremely popular.Highly recommend and I would certainly return

Seems like they are buying surrounding g homes and renovating them to hotel suites. The restaurant was top notch. Amazing food and service. Saw a few seafood platters that were outstanding. Breakfast buffet was good but should be served until 11am for checkout time.

Restaurant is pricey and food is good but not great. Might be best to book direct, seems to be a big markup on price through Hotels.com Our room was in the ‘Cottage’ and was spacious and light. Lots of on-site parking

The rooms were comfortable and great able to put shutters down but still keep the air flowing at night. The patio was lovely, straight onto the Promenade. Location you could not fault.

- Lester (8/5): - Fabulous location overlooking Juno Beach. Balcony big enough to sit out on and enjoy the evening sun. Had an extra bedroom, which we didn’t need, but plenty of room. Good sized shower room. Cleanliness good, and towels changed every day. Good restaurant with excellent service. Good parking. Staff friendly and helpful.

Extremely disappointed at checkout, we were charged for 5 days breakfast. Which rought the cost of the hotel to just under £600. Not worth the money. I intend to complain about this, as I was sure that the cost of breakfast was included in the overall price

Juno Beach (Canadian landing). the Juno beach centre is nearby and is interesting, but limited. Good beaches for sunbathing. Important to know that most tourists there are french-speaking and most staff do not speak English. Check in was by a fluent English speaker, but nobody else we dealt with spoke English. They were generally willing to help with my not-great French, but people with no French should be aware.

Dinner was excellent although service was very slow. 21/2 hours was longer then we expected as we took the first seating. Servers were friendly but disappeared with no explanation as to why our meals were delayed. As others have noted; the manager is very gruff, no small talk or effort to make guests feel welcome. At least that was our experience. Overall, very good, will recommend if you want to be where the action is.

Excellent location just across the road from the beach, and far off the main road. Good car parking, nice to have own patio area. Good breakfast. Cons: no real facilities..a vending machine and coffee facilities in central hall but no mugs from which to drink a hot drink. Lots of single use plastic. Toilet door didn’t stay closed. Needs weeding. Towels changed every day despite not needed yet dirty floor not cleaned once. Main reception is across the road and along a bit in a separate building. On check out they forgot my bill and tried to make me collect from main reception. The card machine then didn’t work so I had to go there anyway. The guy at reception laughed. I didn’t find it funny, I had a channel crossing to catch and left 30 mins late because of this.

- Simon (8/5): A gem of a good hotel - Most, if not all, of the bedrooms seem to be located in annex buildings which are one street back from the main sea front, but what you might lose in sea view you certainly gain in terms of a peaceful and secluded location with gardens for relaxing, and very easy access to the beach if you want it. Breakfast is a typically French buffet, taken in a breakfast room, or in the garden if you prefer. Dinners beautifully cooked, well presented, plenty of choice a la carte and on menus, and a reasonably priced wine list too - you can dine in the open air terrace or indoors (but reserve a table if you need the sea view while you're eating!)

Small rooms, typical of Europe, modern, clean, quiet neighborhood, walk to many restaurants, supermarket. The breakfast (12 euro) was very good. Check in was hurried, but easy. Parking in the lot fills quickly at night, but was easy to find parking on the main street. A very safe area.

Also, the hallways and stairs use a timed lighting system. I was left in the stairway in the dark twice, once with luggage.

Hotel staff was excellent as well as the onsite restaurant overlooking the sea. Ease of parking adjacent to hotel and great location. Staff both at hotel and restaurant went out of their way to accommodate.

- Mike (8/5): Not on the beach but close - We were surprised to find the Garden Annex was situated 100 metres away down an alley which was a disappointment. BUT !!! This was a really great holiday in a loverly place with so many seafood restaurants a fresh fish market serving the local boats with the most amazing choice. So Fresh, So Cheap, delicious and quality food from the best to the work like establishments. Try the place opposite the line of market stalls at the end where the port x over bridge is situated they will cook & serve the fish you chose with a local wine or other drink almost as cheap as taking home to cook yourself. Enjoy this treasure of North West France which just happens to be next to Juno Beach the 1st place liberated on D Day by the Canadian troops who were so brave make sure you wander thro the dunes and gun emplacements Least We Forget Enjoy Mike Sullivan

- Simon (10/5): Great hotel - We weren’t expecting much as the room was very reasonably priced and the location is excellent. How ever once in the room it was large and very well organized. All the furniture was nice. The bathroom and toilet were very clean. We had a great seating area as well as our rooms for a comunial area. We had a family room, so one double bed in one room and then 3 singles in another room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Beware - this was a 'bait and switch.' The hotel is not the one advertised. It is a separate building all together about 1/2 mile down the road and not directly on the beach (but close). Our room had no windows or AC and was very hot in the balcony where the kids slept (even with the balcony door open).

- Verified traveler (10/5): Beachfront Normandy! - Delighted with our water front rooms in newly renovated "Cabot" building about 60 meters from main hotel - enjoyed delicious dinner in hotel restaurant - some reviews for this hotel reflect a disappointing experience in an annex building - room choice is key for a good experience at this one. All staff very friendly !
- Toby (4/5): Unfriendly staff and poor customer interraction - Sadly the staff were dismissive off hand and whilst not rude made the guests I was with feel as if we were a distraction. Service was functional but there was no charm at all by any of the staff that I interacted with. I certainly won’t be staying again. The redeeming point was the food was better than average. There are better hotels nearby where the travelling guest is at least greeted with a smile
- Ody (2/5): - I reserved for a sea view room in the main building of hotel instead I was send to the Annex 500 meters away. I asked the rude male receptionist my reservation says main building not annex He said it’s not the annex blatantly lying to me. I will never go back to that hotel. The staff is rude and unfriendly. The only good thing about is that it’s on the ocean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): On the beach - Be careful when booking as there are separate buildings down the street (annex). The location is great! The staff were not overly friendly towards English speaking clients especially in the restaurant. Being the off season I can understand but when a meal is $200CDN we expected better service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hotel, weird restaurant hours - The fact that my score is not so high relates to the restaurant, not so much the hotel. The restaurant starts service at 19.00h in the evening. In my culture this is way too late especially given that it is difficult to find a restaurant open after 14h.
