Guest Reviews
- johanne (10/5): - Great service, very clean & tidy, well maintained. Room was clean & bathroom. Breakfast consists of a good selection. Restaurants close by to walk to.
- john (10/5): - very clean very convenient and pleasant staff
- Joanne (6/5): Nice hotel - refunds slow to process - In general we like the hotel. It was our second stay here. However having paid in advance, the receptionist insisted we pay again on arrival. This was an error. Although recognised about 30 minutes later and a refund offered this has had to be done by bank transfer. Weeks later and despite sending details 3 times I am still waiting for my refund.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Très bon accueil les réceptionnistes respecte vraiment leur travail. Ils sont très agréables.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect for an overnight stay while travelling with the kids from the UK to the Vendée, and then again on our return journey too. Conveniently located and easy to find. Nearby restaurants and nice clean, quiet rooms.
- Sarah (10/5): Impeccable - Très propre, personnel agréable, très bien situé également.
- Mark (10/5): Good budget option - Convenient for overnight stay
- Timothy (10/5): - Lovely, clean hotel
- rokhaya (10/5): - noua avons été bien accueillis et avons passé un tres bon sejour
- Marc (8/5): - RAS
- ARTHUR (6/5): - Room was clean but very basic. Staff very friendly and welcoming
- David (10/5): Très bien - Confortable, silencieux, propre et le petit déjeuner très correct
- john (10/5): convenient - always a pleasant experience even thought the lift wasn't working this time. We ere offered a ground floor room if we didn't want to climb the stairs.
- Liangchueh (10/5): - good value
- Verified traveler (10/5): - From the initial contact at reception for booking in with a welcoming friendly greeting, to checking out after a restful, quiet and comfortable stay, it's been a pleasant overnight stop off on our journey through France to the UK. Ideally located just off the motorway, but it's very quiet. There are numerous places to eat close by. We didn’t use any, but friends have frequently used them and have been happy with what they've ordered (showing your Kyriad room key wallet gets a price reduction from some businesses).
- Catherine (10/5): - Friendly welcome.
- Catherine (10/5): - Stop over on way to south of France from UK with our dog. Made very welcome. Lots of places to eat nearby. Ample parking.
- Ken (10/5): - No issues, very helpful
- Valerie (10/5): - acceuil tres agreable et souriant, efficace.propreté top.
je recommande cet hotel calme et agreable a tous les egards.
- Helen (10/5): - Very friendly welcome. Good reductions at restaurants but not safe walking in road in dark to restaurants. Needs a pavement
- Magali (4/5): - Bon accueil mais chambre très bruyante avec vu sur une usine et des poubelles 👎
- Celine (10/5): Top - Nous avons passé une super nuit
Un très bon accueil
Nous reviendrons
- Simon (8/5): - Good value property an ideal stopping off point with restaurants nearby. The small issue we had with the room was dealt with by the staff who were pleasant and helpful. I would happily stay there again.
- Rachid (10/5): - Top
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good overnighter. - Comfortable overnight stay. Great staff contact - friendly and professional.
- Agnieszka (8/5): Very safe and pleasant - Stay was nice and quiet. For us it was amazing location. Close to quite few restaurants nearby lake and not too far from Rouen. Breakfast with quite few choices so everyone will find something to eat.
Only down thing and I guess it wasn't huge problem but we had to ask for toilet paper as it was not topped up after room cleaning. Other than that we felt really safe too as they close the gate to the hotel at 22:30. If you wish to be out oast that time you are provided with gate code so you can enter. Also with the room card you will get between 10-20% discount in nearby restaurants so defo worth trying food there.
- Hassanya (10/5): Très bon séjour - Séjour très agréable, chambre fonctionnelle et propre. Le personnel est très à l'écoute et souriant. Un point plus négatif serait le petit-déjeuner qui manque vraiment de choix !
- Paul (10/5): - Gtreat hotel, very nice helpful staff would highly recommend this hotel.
- Elizabeth (4/5): - This hotel is in a run down industrial area. We pulled in with our rental and lots of people stared at us. We walked in and walked right back out. Went and stayed at the Radisson Bleu in downtown Rouen. Didnt feel safe, its dirty, do not stay here.
- Paul (10/5): - Great place for a stopover on a journey to Spain from UK. We'll definitely stay here again.
- Dan (10/5): - .
- David (10/5): As Expected. - Check in receptionist was cheery, helpful and efficient. Room was as expected, and we have a lot of experience of staying here as it's 1 on our check list for this area.
- Hilary (10/5): - Very good all round.
Good choice breakfast
Convenient
Stayed before
- Steven (10/5): - Immaculate. Friendly staff and comfy beds. Very clean.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good to be back - Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable rooms and beds. Good parking. If you've not brought your own food, there are choices within walking distance from the hotel. This is 1 of our go to hotels in Val de Reuil.
- Michael (8/5): - Felt secure. Convenient.
- David (8/5): Another Happy Stay - Very friendly (and hard working staff during busy morning breakfast session). Clean, spacious rooms even though we were given a twin room rather than the expected double. No quilt tugging though, so always an upside! TV not working properly, so read, but forgot to mention it to staff on departure.
- Jacqueline (6/5): - At reception our booking could not be easily found because it was booked with Hotels.com’ -‘overseas’ as the receptionist said. The room was exceptionally small and there was a bedside table on one side of the bed and only one chair in spite of the room being described as a double. We’ve stayed at this hotel before and had better experiences.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet Comfortable Friendly & Convenient. - Clean, modern, spacious rooms with large comfortable beds. Welcomed by a friendly staff member in a roomy, well equipped and appointed reception and breakfast area + bar; benefitting from the recent construction work which was a feature of a previous stay [when downstairs was a building site and reception/breakfast was in temporary accommodation, but the prices then didn’t reflect the welcome/dining area (and there was no mention of building work when booking!)] Plenty of food choices for breakfast.
- Florian (2/5): - This hotel has bed bugs which infected my skin.
- Hilary (8/5): Convenient - Good. Used this overnight stay several times.
Breakfast choice/quality not quite so good as before
- Hilary (8/5): Hilary - Comfortable. Convenient for our overnight stop.
Pleasant friendly staff.
Restaurants in walking distance.
- Michael (10/5): Great hotel for a stop off over night - Staff very helpful and friendly
- David (8/5): No Hard Hats now Required! - Having visited about 3 weeks earlier, it was very good to see the scaffolding had gone, the reception area/bar/breakfast room was operational and not a building site. Good as 'portacabins' are, they are a poor substitute for a fully functioning and welcoming hotel, however hard the staff try to compensate. Since we paid significantly less for a much nicer experience this time, the earlier room rate was much overcharged!
- Martin (10/5): - Very pleasant over night stop.
- marek (8/5): - Good for 1 night
- john (10/5): - good for purpose
- Hilary (8/5): Convenient for overnight stay - A little slow to find our reservation.
No change available for local tax payment.
Small detail.
Breakfast, good choice, adequate.
Small room but ok for en route stay.
Reported a plumbing issue.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very helpful staff. Good overnight stop on long drive, for the money. Couple of restaurants within walking distance.
- John (8/5): Overnight stay - Hotel perfectly adequate for overnight stay.
Awakened at 5am by vehicle in car park sounding the horn several times resulting in poor sleep.
( maybe this problem could be addressed especially if it is a delivery vehicle)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Spotless, very quiet, vith views to the countryside.
- Sarah (10/5): Spotless and comfortable - All good. Staff very polite and helpful. Rooms very comfortable and clean. We’ll be staying again in a couple of weeks.
- Hilary (8/5): ine for overnight stay. - Convenient for traveling. Small room could be difficult for some people. Fine for overnight stay for us.
Restaurants nearby.
- Conor (10/5): - Quiet, clean, efficient, friendly, good parking and location for trips to Rouen and beyond. No restaurant but good places to eat within walking distance...and McDonalds nearby too.
- Divya (10/5): - Great value! Friendly staff and clean, comfortable, modern room!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Always a good stopover - There was only one clean cup for hot drinks. The other one was not in protective film covering & was sticky & had obviously been used. Otherwise a comfortable night's stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff, good clean room, great shower. Dog friendly, and choice of places to eat close by (dogs welcome in Del Arte Italian).
Convenient location for journey back to Calais.
Will stay here again.
- A J (6/5): Poor - Waited at gate to gain entry for 20 mins at 11:30
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our only complaint was a squeaky bathroom door. The staff were very polite and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature perfect
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly even though we didnt speak French.
- Madeleine (8/5): Not up to usual standard of maintenance. - Stay here a lot but this trip had badly cleaned shower screen, blocked shower drain and loose tap in sink. Will be informing hotel.
- Karen (10/5): Hotel - Fantastic hotel. Great service and value for money. Very good.
- NIMAT (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice room basic breakfast. Hospitable staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel room was clean & bright. We booked a family room which had a large double bed a single and a small bunk bed above the double. Small table with a kettle for tea & coffee. Great location for us as close to the motorways for onward travel. Lots of large chain restaurants, hotels & pub within walking distance from the hotel. Would definitely book again for one night stop over.
- Robert (8/5): We'll be back - Our first time here, but will not be the last. Very friendly welcome & check in; clean room, comfortable bed, good shower & facilities. Lots of places to eat in proximity. Secure, plentiful parking. Overall a pleasant night's stay.
- Hilary (8/5): Clean clever and compact. - Great stop over. Good family room layout with bunk above double bed but it did mean it was a bit hot in double bed underneath. Very compact but no problem whatsoever. Good sound proofing too with windows that open. Good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. These are not all mentioned on hotel web site. Only draw back was it was further from Rouen than we thought. Having the name Rouen sud suggests that it is closer but it was a good 25 min drive.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - There was a musty smell throughout the hallway and room. The receptionist was very nice and switched our room, but the second one had the same smell. It got a little better after airing the room out with the window open. Rooms were small, but okay for the price. Overall, clean and okay.
- ann (10/5): - excellent choice for overnight stay easy access to motorway good restaurants nearby very good breakfast no complaints regarding our stay thank you kyriad Rouen sud-val de reuil
- christinmark (10/5): ChristineMark - This was a very comfortable hotel with parking restaurants close by we loved it
- Saief (10/5): Good Hotel as an overnight stopover!! - Very clean, a few choices of restaurants to pick from. Hard what we required
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We wanted 3 separate beds at ground level but were given a room with 2 single beds and a bunk bed which is not good when all 3 of us were 73 years oid plus. We had stipulated that we wanted 3 beds and not a bunk bed. For us getting on and off the bunk bed was very dangerous.
The hand basis drain leaked badly all over the bathroom floor and the receptionist could not fix it. We got our feet wet going to the bathroomin the night. The light switch on the bunk bed did not work properly.
- Trevor (8/5): EXCELLENT STOP OVER HOTEL - GOOD ALL ROUND, EVERYTHING YOU NEED, BREAKFAST IS MUCH IMPROVED
- Trevor (10/5): OK Hotel - As usual this was a really good stop-over
- Mark (10/5): - it was for 1 night stay all the staff were helpfull the breakfast was good
- Trevor (10/5): Good all round stop-over - As usual this is a very good stop over hotel
- Graham (10/5): - Plenty of restaurants nearby room was quiet and in good condition.
- Madeleine (4/5): Not very happy this trip! - Generally were very happy with Kyriad but on this occasion we were not happy. The air conditioning did not work and we were extremely hot all night, only the one tea bag (for two people), a shower tray that did not drain and dirt on the floor!
- John (10/5): Conveniently placed close to our route - The hotel is very nicely appointed, check in and out quick and easy. We only stay one night and it is ideally situated for us and we enjoyed our stay. We ahall be staying there again in the future as we visit France regularly.
- jane (8/5): A good location for an overnight stay, - Clean comfortable hotel, close to the motorway network for onward travel
- Ivan (10/5): Another great stay - Excellent check in. The member of staff spoke English and was very helpful. He booked a table for us at a nearby restaurant and was very friendly and very good with our 8 year old grandson. We have stayed here a number of times and keep coming back. Very quiet location and secure parking. Excellent access to motorway.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Pleasant stay - Room good very pleasant staff perfect for stop on way home from Spain
- Sue (8/5): - Good sized hotel rooms for a European hotel. But it is a budget hotel, so don’t hold it to higher standards.
- Carli (10/5): Great value hotel, perfect for an overnight stay - Spotlessly clean hotel, very comfortable. Perfect spot to break a longer journey. It’s basic, but modern with everything you need for a pleasant stay. No restaurant or bar but there are lots of options within 5 minutes walk.
We stayed with our two baby daughters. The family rooms are large and very comfortable. Great value for money.
- Justina (10/5): - Excellent overnight stop very good value
- sally (10/5): Perfect Stop over - Nice budget hotel. Perfect for stop over on the way to south of France. Clean family room. Quiet location. Several places to eat within walking distance.
Would have preferred china mugs (not paper cups) in the room so that they are reusable. (There were 3 of us, but just two cups).
- Brian (10/5): Great hotel - Great hotel with friendly staff have stayed several times before and will do again
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Already sent review of room. It was not appropriate to our needs and was not as shown in the picture I found, showing a double bed and one single bed - not a double bed with a bunk bed overhead. I spent the night on the floor, helped by the duty manager who lifted the mattress down for me. Spoilt the overnight stay. Staff very helpful- not all negative!
- James (8/5): Very handy stop en route to Paris - Hotel is in a good location only 5 mins from A13 to Paris. Room was clean and breakfast was good. Nearby pub, Au Bureau was handy for dinner. I would use again for breaking up a long journey.
- Ray (8/5): - A nice clean and well looked after hotel, with good parking. Easy access to the motorway and in a location with good restaurants and facilities.
Friendly and helpful staff, who went beyond the routine, helping connect to the wifi.
Breakfast is a little expensive for what is offered, lovely images of frozen yogurt with fresh fruit, but the only fruit was a few pale pieces of pineapple and orange in a small bowl swimming in some juice. Get this right and it would have been 5/5
- john (8/5): - Excellent stop off on the drive south although a bit expensive for that purpose now. Wifi a bit iffy
- John (4/5): Modern but run down - Room had a nice view of the green field nearby, but my kids discovered hair in their beds. It was pretty yukky and turned them off to the hotel right away. Mattress was foam and not that comfortable. Staff did change the sheets on the bed at my request. I had to translate our concern into French, which was interesting. We were really happy to leave early in the morning.
- Paula (6/5): Nice hotel but nightmare to find! - The hotel was clean and in good condition. However it took us an hour to find it as the address took us to an industrial estate. Then we used the Google maps link on their website which took us to a different area of the city! When we rang bookings.com to say we were lost, we were disconnected. We only managed to find it by using the satellite image from their website and looking up a different road name near by and then spotting the hotel from the main road. When we complained to the receptionist she didn't say anything, However this could be due to her not understanding us. When we spoke to an English speaking waitress in a nearby restaurant, she said it was a known problem with the new estate. If this is the case, the hotel should have some clear instructions and maps on their website as well as correcting their goggle maps link. We had been driving since 9am, arrived at 5pm and spending an hour driving around trying to find the hotel with 2 children and being unfamiliar with French roads was not a good start to our holiday!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bed was with a curve
The a.c. is not working in cold mode
- KEITH (8/5): Handy for overnight just off autoroute. - Ideal for an overnight stay as close to autoroute. Friendly staff, comfortable, if fairly basic room. Breakfast adequate, but could be better. We used to stay at the nearby Balladins, where the breakfast was much better, but since being taken over by Ibis, the prices seem to have increased enormously.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent Hotel - Friendly Staff; Small but good cup of Capuccino Coffee from dispenser for €1. Nice restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
- Leah (10/5): Great Hotel - Myself and my family stayed on the drive back from Dordogne heading to Calais, was a 7 hour drive and was perfect! Left just over 2 hours to drive on to Calais.
The hotel was comfy and clean and would definitely stay again. Loads of places to eat nearby and even some supermarkets too!
- Ken (10/5): First class - Excellent hotel. Will be booking again soon. Previously called Premiére Classe. Upgrade to Kyriad well justified
- Roger (10/5): - Pleasant as usual
- Andrea (6/5): disappointed our low expectations - I was expecting very basic and cramped accommodation, but we were disappointed that the room was only equipped with two towels and two paper cups, as we had paid for a triple room (three people). The breakfast was disappointing, too, with limited selection and no fruit whatsoever.
- michael (10/5): Great stop over - Clean and tidy
