Not in the Main Street which for me is a plus - because it’s quiet and more secluded, yet close to go out dining. If the window of the room had more privacy, it would be more perfect.

• Rorypatrick (8/5): Unusual hotel with some nice touches - This is an unusual hotel with the rooms spread out over a large area on the edge of San Pedro de Atacama. It's about a 15 minute walk into the town centre along dusty roads. The rooms are more like desert cabins but they are very comfortable with AC and some lovely design features. The rooms connect to the reception / restaurant via pathways which at night, are poorly lit so be careful! The pool area is nice and was not overly crowded on the one afternoon we used it. We dined in the restaurant two nights & while the food was a bit hit and miss the service was impeccable. My only issue during our stay was our departure for the airport which was around 6am and the restaurant was closed. There was no offer of tea / coffee or anything else for that matter which was a little disappointing.
• Voyager42388100529 (4/5): Disappointed with this hotel - We were very disappointed with our stay at Our Habitas Atacama. First, the rooms are unsuitable for travellers with suitcases because there is no storage in the room beyond hanging space for a few very short items – nowhere for anything else, so we had to resort to piles of clothes on top of suitcases. There are also no chairs in the room onto which you could put clothes for the next day. Secondly, the breakfast offering as part of the room payment (complimentary) is minimal – in addition to fruit/yogurt/meats/cheese/bread/coffee I would expect tomato, cucumber, olives etc. They also will not provide a takeaway sandwich option for early departures unless you pay. You can also pay for a more substantial breakfast but the cost is very high – the equivalent of about £20 for scrambled eggs! Last, the attitude of the staff was very mixed. Some were friendly and attentive but others seemed to want only to upsell you items. On the plus side, the hotel pool has plenty of space to relax for those days you are not taking tours. The hotel location is also far enough out of San Pedro to be away from the evening/night time crowds but close enough to be a comfortable walk. Overall, there are better options available than this hotel.

• Oliver Beck (9/5): An authentic stay in San Pedro de Atacama - The breakfast was excellent and we really liked the decor and adobe construction of the hotel. The hotel also had lots of areas to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. The tour operator that the hotel uses was also excellent! My only complaint would be the size of the room, but it did not detract from our stay. The food at the restaurant was mostly excellent but I thought the chicken was not good.

Il y a beaucoup d’activités dans la semaine (yoga, pilates, observation des étoiles, soirées barbecue, etc.). Les chambres sont confortables et bien décorées. Le personnel très sympathique et arrangeant. Gros plus pour la piscine et les différents petits salons aménagés dans tous les extérieurs. Rien, tout était parfait!

• JulesPBucks_England (6/5): A beautiful location , but the hotel rules need changing. - Our tour of Chile was booked through Trailfinders. They suggested this hotel for the Atacama leg. I had read the reviews and there was a mixture of positive and negative comments but on the whole it seemed a good choice. Here are our thoughts. Room: 102 - although very near to reception it was really quiet with very guest walking passed. It is large enough to accommodate a king size bed with ease and also has a good sized bathroom. The down side however is that the WiFi disappears depending where you are in the room (bearing in mind this part of Chile doesn't have much phone network either!) The room was cleaned well, towels replaced every day and 2 litres of water placed in the room - very handy as the room does not have AC. The staff are very helpful and friendly - though not reception, but more of that shortly. The Restaurant - dinner was excellent and service friendly and prompt. We also ate lunch by the pool - in between excursions - and this was also superb. Decor - lovely surroundings and setting, befitting its wide offer of massage and treatments. We booked on bed and breakfast basis but due to the early starts for our trips - and this applies to most of the excursions around San Pedro - we did not eat in the hotel as breakfast was included within the excursion. However, we are leaving for the airport at 5am tomorrow morning - another early start and not ideal admittedly - so I asked if we could have a packed breakfast for the journey to the airport. I was told by reception that the hotel's policy is to charge for this service. I asked to speak to the manager, but apparently he had left for the day. On our excursions, other passengers staying at different hotels in San Pedro told us that they had received packed breakfasts (for example, the Don Tomas hotel) without any additional charge. Such a shame that this hotel does not provide its guests with the same service. We have had a fabulous holiday in Chile, but it ends on a slight sour note. We won't be staying with this hotel group again.

• Alexandre (5/5): Não vale o que custa - Aula de Ioga, encontro estrelar a noite , com explicações e uma luneta e o atendimento do Luiz Fernando no restaurante, isso salvou a minha visão do hotel, para não dar nota 1 Caro, cheio das restrições, os caras cobram café , não tem nem café na chegada , custo absurdo pelo que entregam, tem hotéis melhores e pela metade do preço na cidade, outros que custam 50% separam seu café em uma embalagem com frutas , sucos , sanduíches, esse querem usd 25,00 mesmo vc não consumindo o café , na chegada já sacam do seu cartão usd 200,00 de futuro gasto , o kimao que fiquei tbem , custa metade , atende melhor o ainda tem café sem custo e preparam seu café . Outra coisa , hotel nesse preço com piscina gelada , sem ar condicionado no quarto , falam que são a favor da natureza e a válvula da privada estava vazando muita água , avisamos várias vezes e está lá vazando , geladeira não funcionava , tivemos que pedir algumas vezes , e aí vai , não voltaria nesse hotel nem por 50% da tarifa…

There is much better alternative in town! - The restaurant and the staff at the restaurant No A/C in the room, no shutters in the room, no proper internet, no proper wardrobe or cupboard, no kettle nor coffee in the room, super tiny room, windows on the main door with no shutters, no direct access to terrasse but more importantly the fact that they are constantly trying to sell you something. Raised a few times some of those issues but the Manager Oscar Rodriguez didn’t seem to care. Not sure if it comes from the fact he had limited interest on making sure his clients are satisfied or too busy to sell them touristic packages or maybe the consequences of Ennismore taking over the management of the property. Overall it was very disappointing and if someone comes to say that they are very sorry, we tried to raise the issues 3 times during our 5 days stay so not really acceptable post mortem based on the standing they are willing to portrait.

Gostei do restaurante, gostamos do atendimento. O quarto nao tinha ar condicionado e era muito quente. Tinhamos que ficar o tempo todo com o ventilçador ligado. Pelo preço pago na diaria, creio que o ar seria um item basico para o hotel. Inclusive vi muitos hospedes realcmando da mesma coisa. Que faltava o ar condicionado.
• GlobetrotterMX_10 (4/5): Disappointing experience - I waited almost 3 months to write this review as I want to give a fair assessment of our experience. The hotel is a pretty nice luxury boutique hotel. Its service however does not match its image or branding. We were there at the beginning of the year and it was evident that the hotel was understaffed: temporary workers were running the administration and sometimes they had no idea of what we had requested or booked (such as a tour from their partner travel agency or the date of our private transportation to the airport). If you leave the hotel at 5 am you expect that once you get back at 2-3 pm the room will have been cleaned. This was not the case: twice our room had not been cleaned at 3 pm. Also beware of the partner travel agency: they stood us up once. Our recommendation is to book well in advance with an outside travel agency (we tried several and the best by far was Horizonte Turismo). This hotel was picked up by our travel consultant. We let him know all the issues with this hotel as we do not think it should be recommended. Our Habitas Atacama is part of a larger and international group with properties in different countries. We will stay away from any Our Habitas property.

• NickyA143 (8/5): 4.5 Stars – Oasis in the Desert - We stayed at Our Habitas in Atacama for 4 nights and it truly felt like discovering an oasis in the middle of the desert. The surroundings are stunning, with the landscape creating a peaceful and unique atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed in an adobe style, which feels both authentic and incredibly effective for the desert climate. They stay pleasantly cool and comfortable, and everything was very clean. The decor throughout the hotel is cohesive and stylish, creating a calm and harmonious environment. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always happy to help. A highlight of the stay was the wellness centre. I had an amazing massage from Loretta—possibly one of the best massages I’ve ever had. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. Everything we tried was delicious, with the pork dish being a particular standout. The only slight disappointment was one night they did a barbecue and it wasn’t up to the standard of the main restaurant. However, our wonderful waiter Luis Fernando, sorted everything out for us. A couple of small feedback points: a luggage rack and a chair in the room would be very helpful, along with a few more hangers. Another thing that might improve the experience would be a shuttle service to the main shopping street. It’s only about 10 minutes away, but walking there in the heat can be a bit challenging. Overall, a wonderful stay and a truly special place in the Atacama.

• Paulo (8/5): Um oásis no deserto - Ótima localização. Camas boas. Restaurante no hotel muito bom. Equipe bem atenciosa e sempre disposta a auxiliar. Café da manhã bastante adequado. Chuveiro muito bom, tendo em vista estarmos no deserto, surpreendeu. Os quartos são bons, porém fomos no verão e os ventiladores aliviam o calor dos quartos, mas não resolvem totalmente Tivemos problemas de acumulo de água no box do chuveiro, mas prontamente resolvido pela equipe de manutenção. Na semana que estivemos hospedados, por incrível de pareça, choveu quase todos os dias e acho que as atividades de recreação e interações com hóspedes ficou comprometida, houve queda de energia e internet, mas totalmente explicável pelas condições meteorológicas (até caiu granizo). E fomos nos dias de carnaval e houve tambores e barulhos por horas, atrapalhando algumas noites, mas alheio a vontade do hotel.

Receptionist (the woman with many star tattoos) assigned incorrect room type without checking reservation, and response was dismissive (“not my problem”). No apology. Check-in took 30+ minutes while visibly exhausted from trekking. For a $300+ per night property positioning itself as experiential hospitality, service did not meet expectations. Plus, the restaurant food is a disappointment.
• kenyac571 (8/5): Phenomenal Tours with Trekana - The highlight of our stay was really the tour service. I mean that's really what you go to the Atacama desert for, right? We found Our Habitas Atacama to be a desert oasis. Despite some of the negative reviews here, our stay was perfectly fine. It’s a decent, comfortable place to stay while exploring the area and I appreciate the complementary wellness activities they offer. The absolute best part of our trip, however, was the tour service provided by Trekana, especially Paolo. When I wasn’t the most responsive during the planning stages, he stayed patient and kept me on track and because of that, I was able to fully experience the AMAZINGNESS of the Atacama Desert. We did the Stars & Fire astronomy tour and I highly recommend it. The night sky was breathtaking beyond words. Our guides Katerina, Fernanda, and Etan (I’m sure I've butchered their names. I'm so sorry!) were warm, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Katerina spoke 3 languages that night to accommodate everyone on the tour. Seeing the stars like that was a bucket list moment I’ll never forget. Mauricio, our guide for the Lagoons and Socaire tour, was also phenomenal. He taught us so much about Chile as a whole and that made the experience even more meaningful. Deep gratitude to Paolo and the Trekana tour guides. You made this trip unforgettable.

Es un hotel acogedor que realmente nos hizo sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Viajamos en familia y el trato hacia nosotros y nuestros hijos fue siempre cercano, cariñoso y con la mejor disposición por parte de todo el equipo. Las instalaciones son impecables: limpias, hermosas y de primer nivel, cuidando cada detalle para que la experiencia sea perfecta. Las actividades incluidas por el hotel fueron fantásticas y enriquecieron aún más nuestra estadía. La comida del restaurant y el desayuno fueron excelentes, todo delicioso y muy bien presentado. Queremos dejar un agradecimiento especial y muy emotivo a quienes hicieron nuestra experiencia inolvidable: Oscar, Maca, Pedro, Aurora, Paula, Jaime, Eduardo, Armando, Ari y Fernando. • Carole (7/5): The worst of the 6 hotels stayed at during Chile trip - Food and layout Scam through booking.com that hotel was aware of- only stopped by my bank- the hotel should be making guests aware. Reception poor arranging airport transfers and had to send passport details 3 times. Difficult to get drinks by pool and had to ask for a breakfast menu. Should be more aligned with the tour operator - our stay included breakfast but do did the tours, the tours included evening drinks and snacks which weren’t needed before dinner.

Leuk dat ze verschillende faciliteiten organiseren zoals yoga, star gazing en sound healing. Slechte prijs-kwaliteit verhouding: het was 450 euro per nacht met veel kleine gebreken en de service was niet altijd goed. Zo hebben we een keer een uur op ons avondeten moeten wachten, heeft de schoonmaakster ons geen nieuwe handdoeken gegeven om te douchen en hebben we een kapotte föhn gekregen. De parasol aan het zwembad was kapot en werd niet gemaakt, terwijl er al zo weinig schaduw aan het zwembad was.

Cheguei lá achando que se tratava de um hotel 5 estrelas, pois era como estava classificado no booking, mas uma atendente muito mal humorada nos disse que o hotel era 3 estrelas e não sabia o motivo de estar diferente no booking. Nos exigiram o pagamento de um caução de 250 dólares mesmo a estadia tendo sido integralmente paga antecipadamente. A arrumação do quarto era péssima, a ponto de termos que ir pedir papel higiênico. Não tem ar condicionado. Café da manhã com poucas opções.

It took 7 hours, several WhatsApp messages and 3 personal discussions to make them pick up the phone and confirm airport transfer for next morning. I would not expect such approach in 350 USD / night hotel.
• Francesca (1/5): AVOID THIS HOTEL!!! - WORST hotel experience I’ve ever had. Completely unsanitary, uninhabitable, and appalling attitude by the hotel manager and staff. I paid 700 USD per night for a room that isn’t worth 100. The photos don’t show the reality of the old and basic rooms you get. From worst to least bad: 1. Sewage smell everywhere. An unbearable sewage odor comes from the canal next to the hotel, which is used as a trash dumping ground. On top of that, the hotel recycles brown water and sprays it throughout the garden, spreading the smell all day. The terrace is unusable, and opening doors or windows is impossible. 2. No ventilation. You’re forced to keep everything closed because of the sewage smell, making the room suffocating. 3. Small rooms with no functional space. Barely enough room to move, let alone place belongings. We had to put everything on the floor, including the extra pillows. 4. Zero privacy. People can look directly into the bedroom from the street. Both the room and terrace lack proper privacy. 5. Constant noise, impossible to rest. The fan and mini fridge are extremely loud, which is unbearable in such a small space. 6. Old, damaged facilities. Chipped sink, patched-up walls, worn-out rooms. This is not what’s shown in the photos. 7. Everything is about charging extra. Like the extra 1 egg I ordered in my included breakfast (which I had to fight for). Even the nightstand is covered with products they’re trying to sell you. 8. Poor housekeeping. Dirty towels left on pool chairs for hours. Overall lack of care. 9. WiFi rarely works. 10. Staff behavior. Overpromising, underdelivering, and most of the time passive-aggressive. Overall unhelpful. I complained several times, was promised a solution, which never came. I wasn’t able to rest. Finally, they moved us to a different room on the second night, at 10 pm! And 30 minutes later, the sewage smell came in again. When I demanded a full refund, the manager Oscar Rodriguez told me to file a complaint through Booking.
• eugenio (6/5): Bueno y lindo pero con algunos detalles a tener en cuenta - El desayuno es muy completo. La propiedad es hermosa y con amplios jardines. La zona es muy tranquila. En general el personal es muy atento. La habitación es bastante oscura, con mucho olor a humedad. No tiene vista. No tiene aire acondicionado. Tiene un espacio exterior pero que no tiene muebles, solo dos asientos hechos de hormigón. No tiene closet cerrado. Tengan cuidado con la cuenta al final de su estadía y revisen bien. Me quisieron cobrar dos almuerzos y bebidas que no me correspondían y desconfiaron de mi palabra. Todo muy mal manejado. Una pena que un lugar de esa categoría ponga recepcionistas tan maleducados.

Unfortunately, one incident slightly affected our visit: one of the front desk employees was extremely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful when I simply requested a refill of our body wash. Aside from this isolated incident, everything else was lovely. I would especially like to highlight the hotel’s excursion partner, Trekana, and give a big thank you to Paolo. He was incredibly patient, polite, and helpful. Paolo designed an amazing itinerary for us and took the time to carefully explain every detail and answer all our questions. We truly couldn’t have managed without him. Thank you to Paolo and the Trekana team for making our trip so memorable.

• laurif995 (10/5): Excursions- paolo was amazing! - I never write trip advisor reviews, but I felt that the quality of service we received from Paulo at Habitas for our Atacama excursions (through Trekana) warrants recognition. From our first interaction, it was apparent that he genuinely cared about the quality of the experience my family would have—he listened carefully to our description of the types of experiences we were seeking, and then designed a well thought-out, customized itinerary. When we changed our priorities part way through our trip, he immediately got to work revising our plans, staying late and even working on his day off to make it happen. And when one of the activities we had planned got canceled, he creatively figured out another option that would provide a similar experience. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and I have to say that Paolo at Habitas is a true standout—his efforts unequivocally enhanced our vacation.
• Adriana Fernandes (8/5): Recomendado. - La habitación es muy cómoda, se puede ir caminando al pueblo, personal simpático, estacionamiento disponible, buen desayuno, y los jardines son muy agradables para leer un libro o relajar. El viernes el restaurante ofrece un asado y la carta del restaurante se reduce a 1 plato. El asado es muy caro por lo que ofrece, y los acompañamientos no estaban buenos ( vegetales crudos y poca variedad). Mi sugerencia es mantener la carta actual para que el huésped pueda elegir de mejor.
• Hendrik (7/5): - We stayed at this accommodation for five nights. The grounds, rooms, and restaurant are very cozy and beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable here, and it was the perfect base from which to explore the Atacama Desert. Minor criticisms: We didn’t receive clean towels on a single day. All of the towels had stains, some of them quite large. The staff is very friendly, but sometimes inattentive. Especially in the restaurant, we had to wait a long time in the mornings before we could place our order. In the evenings, we had to ask to order more drinks, and part of our order were forgotten. The breakfast was pretty much the same. After five days, it became quite repetitive.
• joane (5/5): Sympa mais il faut se mettre au niveau des prix demandés - Dans le style bobo assez charmant et bien placé des chambres sans fenêtre des lumières quasi inexistantes une piscine non chauffée un petit déjeuner inclus avec un buffet très petit et si vous choisissez chocolat chaud ou capuccino vous devez payer en supplément une eau difficilement réglable dans la douche.. Des prix français pour un service qui ne l'est pas...les serviettes sales restent sur les transats toute la journée, les assiettes sont rarement débarrassées...

Breakfast - If you want to spend more time at the property rather than going out and explore the beautiful Atacama desert, they do offer a nice bunch of activities like Yoga wellness classes and so on. Good breakfast and food. Too expensive and poor laundry service (5 t-shirts 1 shirt 2 jeans 1 sweatshirt few underwear and socks 79 USD), clothes were given back in less then 12 hours but most of them were still wet and definitely not ironed), cocktail bar nothing special, staff very nice but sometimes inexperienced, if you have your breakfast included in the deal but you want it to go, you have to pay 25 USD more!!
• Marlene (9/5): Site enchanteur - Architecture harmonieuse, Jardin intérieur super paisible avec plusieurs endroits différents sur le site pour contempler et se déposer. Personnel très sympathique. Restaurant sur site très bon. Certaines chambres plus proches des limites du resort sont singulièrement exposées au bruit/aboiements des chiens errants, ce qui perturbe le sommeil pendant la nuit. Dans mon cas, cela m’a réveillé à chaque nuit. Cela dit, il semble que ce soit un problème qui semble être répandu à San Pedro.
• bridgettem124 (10/5): Beautiful property & amazing staff - I stayed at Our Habitas Atacama on a solo trip, traveling throughout Chile. I arranged airport transportation and tours through the hotel. There is a short walk to town and I enjoyed being on the quiet outskirts. The room was very comfortable, the food at the restaurant was very good, and I enjoyed afternoons at the pool after desert excursions. The Pioneer Studio was very spacious, bigger than I was anticipating from the pictures. The highlight of my stay was the warm and helpful staff. Everyone was amazing from the front desk to the staff in the restaurant. They were so helpful with any questions or requests I had.

Perdimos el desayuno que habiamos pagado! Te exigian 20 dolares por hacerte un pack!. POdrian haber puesto, al menos un cake o algo para acompañar cafe. No pido buffet completo pero algo mas si. En Hotel de Santiago nos prepraron pachk sin coste y era mucho mas sencillo y barato. Solicite servicio de bicicletas , muy habitual y estaba todas en mantenimiento, me digeron. No hay duchas en la piscina si te quedas y haces check out ya no podras ducharte tras el baño

La persona que nos recibió hizo comentarios claramente racistas (no hacía nosotros sino hacia una cultura/religión concreta) 2. Nos cobraron más de 50€ extra porque no aceptan el pago en USD con tarjeta de débito y si quieres pagar en Pesos Chilenos (que es la única opción con tarjeta de débito) te meten un impuesto. 3. Pagas por un desayuno incluido pero si tienes que salir antes de la hora a la que abre el desayuno, no te preparan nada para llevar (en otros hoteles si que hacen esto ya que en San Pedro es bastante habitual que los tours salgan muy temprano).

Upon arrival (2pm), the rooms weren't ready, so we waited about an hour to check out. The rooms were tiny and very dirty. The sinks were chipped. The next day, when we returned from a trip, we found the room unmade. The pool was a greenish swamp where they poured liters of disinfectant every morning. A word of advice: don't stay at this hotel.

• Jacques (5/5): 5 nights and almost 6 days in San Pedro de Atacama - Thank you to Millaray who was outstanding as our preferred waitress. The tours organized through the kind of in-house agency (Trekana Adventure) and Cristobal the guide we had three days in a row. Rooms are comfortable but not outstanding. Cleaning of the room is done approximately. The laundry service is expensive and you are paying for ironing that is not properly done. Staff at the restaurant showed good will but, excepted a few of them, they are not handling very well there tasks, either in taking orders or delivering at the table (for what ever reason three days in a row I was delivered food that was already cold). While we were generally welcome at the front desk, some staff need to learn how to handle their customer in a respectful manner.

The Pilates and yoga sessions were a highlight — relaxing, well-guided, and perfect for reconnecting with myself. The staff, both administrative and operational, were genuinely kind and always ready to help. Their warmth made the whole experience feel personal and special. A wonderful place to unwind in the desert.

We arrived at Our Habitas at 10, after a long tiring trip, but our rooms were not ready, I finally got my room at 14 and I was charged extra money for “an early check-in”. Our first tour, to the Moon Valley, was at 15:30, we hardly had time to unpack and get a quick shower. The guy at the reception desk was unfriendly and pretty impolite, he insisted on charging a 150$ deposit on our credit cards (50 dollars per night) as a guarantee (what for?). They charge you money even for breathing at Our Habitas. The hotel is nice, but the location is not the best one, a trek from the village centre, where all tours leave you, and where all restaurants and shops are located. Our walks to the hotel, under a scorching sun, felt exhausting.
• Angela (5/5): Pretty facilities, average cleaningness, really poor service - facilities are pretty, the doorman and restaurant staff are lovely A lot of poor things: - toilet was clogged - we called several numbers and texted the whatsapp, no one responded on time, fortunately someone picked up and came promptly - one day we were out of the room from 7am to 2pm and no one cleaned the room, we asked for it to be cleaned at 3ish, and the lady, in her rude tone, said she’d leave at 3pm. We texted the hotel by whatsapp, not a single response nor apology - There are no bicycles available, despite advertising. no transfer to the city center - Entertainment program is poor, yoga classes at 10am, knowing that all tours start very early in the morning - Reception personnel were the least professional, certainly not trained to be working in a claimed 4 star hotel - Poor checkout experience, they wanted to charge us twice Would have been fine to pay 100-150 usd per night, but for 300 / night the standards should be dramatically higher
