- Peake (4/5): It could have been worse but wasn't too bad - The room and beds were clean for the most part besides crumbs and dirt underneath chair. Breakfast was amazing and had a lot of variety. The pool which was the main reasoning for wanting to stay there was not right. Me and my 10-year-old son went for a swim as soon as we got there and after getting out and taking really good showers we smelled bad of chlorine for most of the night to the point that it made me and him both feel really sick. I would say whoever is in charge of adding chemicals to the pool should definitely do a better job at keeping it balanced. Also in our room the refrigerator made a really loud humming noise that would kick on for 5 minutes kick off for 5 minutes for the whole time that we were there.

The breakfast pancake machine was broken. Our mini fridge quit working at night and there was a ton of water that leaked out (I'm assuming from the freezer)

- Cody (1/5): The stay summed up was frustrating. - Location The leaky ac unit in the suite, mold in the bathroom, no vents in bathrooms. Pool maintenance was disclosed before booking. Flooded bathroom causing me to slip in contaminated feces water and hyperextending my knee. Trying to say offering a second room at a comped price to make up for the soaked floor in our suite was tacky. The soak was from the window passed the bed wide.

The beds were comfortable and easy to get into ( handicap assessable). And good warm breakfast mornings. The sausage gravy and biscuits was exceptional! Handicap assess into the shower. It was indicated handicap assessable, but had a large step into a tub- not step in easy. And only one outside bar to hold unto when you step into tub. Should have at least another safety hold bar in the actual shower to hold unto for balance and so you don't slip while water is running

- Stewart (6/5): - Breakfast was decent, i liked it was close to restaurants and right off the highway. Young lady at the front desk was not pleasant! nit took almost 40 minutes to check me in! Apparently the room i rented on booking.com wasn't available ok all well! she had me waiting a very long time staring at the screen, i finally said can you speak with a manager about what is available? I have my grand children with me and i need two queen beds, she also wanted to debate with me about what i reserved until i showed her proof. just a overall sad experience from the front desk.

- Tiara (6/5): - I like the night shift front deck employees they did great. I didn't like that the power went out from 7am till 2pm. They didn't try or even want to accommodate us for the inconvenience. We ask for a later check out they said they can only give us til 12 and didn't really want to do that and on top of that is still haven't received my deposit back and it's been three days.

- Anita (1/5): Bed bug. Nice staff and itâs a safe area but there was a bed bug crawling on the pillow. - It was in a safe area and the staff was very nice. Hotel appeared nice and the room looked clean and comfy. The man working the front desk was kind and immediately gave us a refund and large plastic bags for our things when we informed him of the bed bug. We were there 1 hour and found a bed bug on the pillow. We documented it, packed our things in plastic bags, then left.

- Crystal (1/5): Terrible and nasty - Nothing the room was nasty there was flies on the walls, I booked a jacuzzi room didnât get that got a handicap room and the staff was rude. Everything I paid money for a room didnât get what I paid for the room was nasty I have never stayed at a hotel like this before. I called and complained they didnât do anything and made me feel like they didnât care.

- Sherill (6/5): Adequate hotel for overnight stay. You get what you pay for. - Breakfast was so-so. Food wasn't hot and some equipment was broken. Got a room next to the elevator

- Brent (6/5): - It just wasnât the best experience. Since we werenât diamond members (I believe that is what it was called), we couldnât get a late check out. We needed 30 more minutes for my kids to do their online class, but we ended up leaving early anyways, because wifi wasnât working in the building. No towels in the pool area, we had to track those down. I got a soda out of the pop machine and it was expired in 2024. They did refund me the money, but I didnât try to get anything else because I didnât want to run into that problem again.

- Randy (1/5): Incorrect Room Assignment and Unfulfilled Reservation - I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience with my reservation at the Holiday Inn Express in Madison Heights for the night of September 27â28. I had booked and fully paid in advance for a 2 Room Whirlpool Suite, specifically chosen to celebrate a special occasion â my anniversary weekend. Upon arrival, I was informed that the suite was no longer available and was instead assigned a standard room with no comparable accommodations offered. This is entirely unacceptable. The suite was clearly confirmed, and no prior notice was given regarding any changes. The downgrade not only breached the terms of my reservation but also significantly disrupted a personally meaningful occasion. I expect far better service and accountability from both Booking.com and Holiday Inn Express. At minimum, I am requesting: A full refund for the cost of the downgraded reservation, And appropriate compensation for the inconvenience, disappointment, and disruption caused. Please treat this matter with urgency and respond with a resolution within 5 business days. I look forward to your prompt attention and a fair outcome.

- Oneal (8/5): The overall state was nice the staff was nice - I did not receive my receipt so I don't know if the price match or not they said it would be one email but I have not received it thank you I did not like that I didn't get a receipt. I didn't like the pop machine took my money and you have to call the number just for your two dollars back

- Lexy (1/5): - I like that our room doesnât stink and it smells like chocolates when we got in. The sofa bed doesnât have extra blanket and pillows. The front desk lady was a not friendly, especially towards my husband. She was very friendly towards the first customer, offering her chips and water , smiling and vibing. When it was my husbandâs turn to talk to her. She changed her attitude and didnât even offer any to him. Her tone of voice is not inviting and hospitable.

- Lynae (1/5): Not happy about driving there for no reason canât swim and still being charged full price for the room - They donât let you know the pool is closed before you book and thatâs not right, people look forward to swimming definitely after booking at the hotel because of the pool
