Guest Reviews
- Akshay (8/5): - Location and staff Small rooms
- Calum (10/5): - Outstanding value for money and location and the staff very friendly and the rooms were perfect. I’ve paid 5 times as much for less. 10/10 we will be back
- Nicole (4/5): Could be so much better!!! - The beds were comfortable and the price incl. Breakfast wasn't bad at all. Firealarm just before midnight was a welcoming addition to the extremely noisy nightlife just outside the hotel. Staff at breakfast not wearing a uniform didn't look professional at all.
Location otherwise good.
Could have been cleaner and in desperate need of modernisation.
- Rook (8/5): Weekend stay - Spacious room. Very comfortable bed. Varied choices for buffet breakfast, Helpful staff

- Angela (8/5): - Great Hotel, staff were very helpful and perfect location. Definitely stay there again. Not much
- Walker (4/5): Could be better. Hit and miss. - My room (408) felt quite dilapidated and in need of some TLC. The curtains were dirty, the wall had paint missing and the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall.
I have stayed at this Hotel quite a lot this year, and it feels very 'hit and miss' as to whether you are in a good room or not. I'm generally not one for complaining but the room I was in this weekend was not what I'd expect from a 4-star Hotel.
- Jaki Jay (9/5): - Central location, comfortable bed, fridge in room. Parts of the hotel looked a little tired.
- Louise (9/5): -
- JOHN (4/5): Reasonable. - A great location for local shops. The guy at reception twice tried to charge me more than the booking price.
- Mark (10/5): - The location Still no ginger ale in the bar
- Diane (10/5): -
- Bill (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Mike (7/5): - Good location, close to train station. Breakfast was great. Room facilities such as tea, coffee, milk and toilet roll wasn't replace in the three night stay, I had to go to reception and ask.

- Christopher (2/5): I would never stay here again - Nothing Very poor bar, no real restaurant just a handful of bar snacks, rooms were small and poorly maintained, we were booked into the wrong room initially, not welcoming and some of my fellow guests were dubious. Dont be fooled by the pictures on the web site.
- karl (7/5): - Shower Picked a twin room but was ment to book dobble
- Toby (7/5): -
- Mark (10/5): Brilliant - Nice and clean staff brilliant
- Lunjie (4/5): Disappointed - In the city center Too noisy, the sound insulation is very poor
- gemma (7/5): Friendly hotel with parking - Huge hotel
Nice bar area Breakfast felt rushed, like we were an inconvenience
- Teasdale (9/5): -
- Timothy (9/5): Good times in Darlington - When we stay in Darlington we normally use another hotel. We chose this one as it was cheaper so we were surprised by the breadth and quality of the breakfast. Our room was very quiet despite the city centre location across from a lively pub. Minor issues over our particular room. There were marks on the bath near the drain hole, the toilet roll holder was fragile and the fan didn’t come on with the light.
- John (10/5): Really enjoyed our stay, - Great location, spotlessly clean, and very polite and professional staff. Nothing
- Andy (8/5): - Good location, helpful staff
- David (10/5): Wonderful! - The staff were absolutely brilliant. Lauren, in particular, made us feel super welcome 😀 Nothing.
- Gemma (7/5): - Good location

- nadine (9/5): -
- Deborah (3/5): Dreadful and would not return - Nothing The layout of the hotel - different lifts for different floors- breakfast room and toilets on 1st floor, no ice on the premises, parking fit for a push bike
- Hope (5/5): - N Needed deep clean and room was shabby
- Mann (9/5): -
- Marian (6/5): -
- Vicky (1/5): Very let down - When we arrived we thought it was nice until we got in the room which was rotten no other way say it the bathroom was dirty muck in all corners the carpe where tredbare and dirty everything was dirty the bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress protector was not clean all in all I would definitely stay here or recommending it
- Patricia (8/5): -
- Ernest (9/5): Darlo great town - We have stayed many times ,easy walk from train station plenty of nightlife and your in the centre off it Drinks were expensive in the bar
- imonje (9/5): -
- Joseph Peter (4/5): Wouldn’t be back - Central Room was far too hot, there was pigeons nesting outside the window and bird mess everywhere window hardly opened if any and the outside windows were totally un moveable, bathroom was riddled with damp, car parking is near non existent, staff were pretty rude
- Matthew (8/5): -
- Neil (10/5): As above - Everything was faultless again as I am here regularly for exactly that reason. Outstanding staff, brilliant facilities as always. Highly recommend 👌 👍 Nothing
- Nicholas (6/5): Acceptable, but disturbed with noise - The location was excellent. It was very close to the centre Noise near the hotel and from in the hotel was very very loud.
- Simon (8/5): Very happy with my stay, value for money, comfortable and clean - Location was ideal for what I wanted and room was big, comfy and clean. The only issue was that my window looked over the town centre and it was really loud in the morning. However it was Easter weekend and they had some festivities on so would probably be quieter at other times.
- Tom (8/5): Cheep & cheerful - Good value for money No comments
- Jone (10/5): -
- buck (7/5): Very comfortable bed, great location, lovely staff who try to put any issues right. - I was disappointed to find that breakfast wasn't included in price. One or two issues to be sorted but the staff were very good. Friendly and efficient, couldn't ask for more. The TV controllers don't seem to work very well(I had 2) that needs improving. Seemed to get hot water out of cold taps as well as the hot. Small issue tho really.
- Paul (4/5): Was ok but would not stop again - Location was good and the room was clean, Breakfast was good The hotel has limited parking so I had to park on the street until 0730 and then move my car. Room was well presented tidy but very small i found i was walking into the bed a lot.
Hotel showing signs of needing work, carpets worn in places and I felt like the cleners was doubling up as reception staff.
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Ebuzo (9/5): -
- Sally (8/5): Lovely hotel, wonderful staff and clean room - Great price , lovely breakfast and great staff / clean comfy room. Can’t think of anything.
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Chloe (7/5): - Good location Very dirty and old style room. Lots of dust and dirt in every corner. The bottom of the shower curtain was stained and dirty. Would expect to pay £50 for that kind of room not £80
- Elizabeth (7/5): - It was a nice room and the staff were extremely friendly. However room 360 had their TV on extremely loud at 11.30pm and again at 6am which I do understand is not the hotels fault but it did spoil the stay for me. See above
- Janet (8/5): - Location
- Gemma (8/5): Darlington - Central to city centre
Staff welcoming
Room had everything you might need Room was exremely warm, couldnt open the window as it wouldnt stay open - there was a fan though thankfully
Mini fridge needed a wipe out
- Julie (8/5): Good value for money. Perfect location for our trip - Great location, reception staff very polite and accommodating.
- Alan (9/5): Great location friendly staff. - Breakfast was very good 👍. Good range of hot and cold food. Excellent staff.
- pinkpippa (10/5): -
- MARTIN (9/5): Excellent location - Excellent location for the Town and all the amenities. Not far from the train station. Getting upstairs and downstairs was a bit of a maze. Both by taking the lift or using the stairs. All a bit confusing on your first visit.
- Lesley (7/5): Central hotel - Convenient for what we needed. Bed very uncomfortable.
- Ghezzi (7/5): -
- Geoffrey (10/5): Excellent staff reception very helpful location brilliant clean and comfortable - Quirky with style Nothing
- Philip (6/5): Basic but clean. Excellent breakfast. Perfect for 1-2 nights - Location exactly where we needed Nothing

- Linzi (7/5): I'd use again - Great breakfast
Very helpful and pleasant staff A few minor issues in the room in need of maintenance 0 toilet roll holder not completely attached to wall
- Geraldine (10/5): Very comfortable, great breakfast and very nice, helpful staff - Great central location within car parking Nothing
- Rodger (8/5): - Excellent location
- Abe (8/5): -
- Christine (6/5): Nice hotel, shame about the food in the bar. - Lovely, helpful staff. A comfortable room, and a beautiful restaurant for a good quality breakfast. The evening food served in the bar was well below any quality I have ever experienced. A limited menu with poor ingredients. The meals seemed to be warmed in a microwave. Some was inedible, like a rock hard Naan bread and sone sort of luke warm, dry wedges that were advertised as fries.
Bar was poorly stocked too.
- William (9/5): Convenient and competently run -
- Göran Hellström (5/5): - Läget är perfekt Dåligt isolerat, mycket ljud utifrån, tvål dispenser sitter alldeles för högt upp (1,50cm), skållhett vatten och mycket svårt att få fram kallt vatten.
- Guest (8/5): -
- Sonia (7/5): - Loved the location Difficult registering for parking although reception were very helpful in helping us resolve . There was a strange smell in the room and the seagulls kept us awake from 3 am not to mention the clock bonging every hour . Even with windows closed hardly managed any sleep
- Mary (9/5): Very enjoyable weekend stay friendly staff . - Very central location in the heart of Darlington. Secure car park . Very good choice of breakfast and good quality food. There was nothing to dislike weekend stay
