Location handy to shops and the Spa across the road is Devine. Food and service could not be faulted. The over priced laundry left a bad taste in my mouth. Paid $40 for a normal load, no ironing. Paid $7 for same load in Ubud. Outrageous. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows lumpy. Mini bar did not get restocked for my 5 night stay.

• Wendi (1/5): Not happy. - When we arrived, there was construction happening next to our villa. After 4 hours of a nail gun being used, we asked if we could be moved to another villa away from the noise. The staff were obliging and moved us away from the noise. Unfortunately, the room we were moved to had not been cleaned (fat on the kitchen bench and softdrink on the bedside tables), and the pool had mould in and outside of it. If the problem had just been the cleanliness, we would have had housekeeping come and clean it. The mould, however, could not be removed quickly, so we could not use the pool. We decided to leave after one night. We were told the cost was non refundable, and the receptionist had a form ready for us to sign, saying we wouldn't give a bad review. We refused to sign it.
• Maria (5/5): Okay stay - Second stay the first time wasn’t the best but I believe in giving second chances. Staff were amazing. Pool on both sides of property don’t get more then one hour sun which is crap for tanning or pool lovers. Villa was extremely dirty this time round! Walked in hair all over bed, dirty tissues in laundry hamper around bath looks like it had never been cleaned in years, bathroom bench full of oil. Breakfast was below average every morning had to wait over 10 minutes for bacon having the rest of our breakfast go cold.

Every villa comes with its own private pool which was beautifully clean and perfect for relaxing and swimming any time of the day. The service was incredible… from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with drinks and told to take our time and relax, even though our room was already ready. The staff collected our bags straight from the car and greeted us with big smiles every single day. The villa itself had such a nice vibe. The large open living area with huge fans blended perfectly into the outdoor pool space, making it feel so tropical and peaceful. The bedroom was air conditioned, spotless, and really comfortable. Everything about this place felt warm, relaxing, and welcoming. We would definitely come back again! Everything was great!

• Darren (10/5): Bali Hospitality at Its Best with Amazing Staff and Beautiful Villas - We loved our villa at Villa Kayu Raja, Seminyak. The villa was cleaned daily and was always kept spotless. The private pool was a great way to cool off after a long day exploring Bali, and the rooftop pool was also fantastic for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. Kayu Raja’s biggest asset is definitely its staff, who always greeted us with smiles, offered local knowledge and advice on where to go and what to do, and were always happy to help with anything we needed. Any issues we had were very minor and addressed quickly and professionally. All in all, a fantastic spot with a great location and Bali’s best staff. Nothing. Like all holidays, you’re bound to encounter one or two very minor issues, it’s how they are handled that matters. Both of our minor issues were resolved immediately, which is a real credit to the staff at Kayu Raja.

The 24 hour security made us feel safe, the room service was exceptional, breakfast daily which again was great, ALL the staff were so friendly, welcoming and showed kindness and care, villas cleaned daily, nothing was too much trouble. Our Daughter loved her room & own bathroom. The pool space is phenomenal. Upstairs pool & bar is amazing & every Friday night is Bbq buffet all you can eat for $20 AUD- a must try! Without a doubt, this is one of the best places I have ever stayed!! 🌺 everything was even better than I expected. The villa is beautiful, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to relax from the moment you arrive. I also booked the floating breakfast, which was such a lovely experience. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff arranged everything perfectly. One thing worth mentioning is that the pool is much better in real life than it appears in the photos. The pictures really do not capture how large and impressive it is!! The same is true for the room, which felt even more spacious and inviting than I had imagined. What really made this stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. Everyone was genuinely kind, warm, and always available to help with anything. Their attention and hospitality went far beyond what I expected. I would recommend Villa Kayu Raja to anyone visiting Bali. It offers an amazing combination of comfort, quality, and value. 10/10, I would definitely stay here again! 🌞💫 Everything was Perfect!!

• Krishantha (8/5): - The villa is in a very central location, close to many popular Instagram attractions and about a 15-minute walk to Seminyak Beach. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the villa itself was very spacious. The room was reasonably clean, although a little more attention would make it perfect. Only concern was the noise from the nearby road. I stayed in Villa No. 01 and struggled to sleep due to the traffic noise. I would recommend requesting a room further away from the road if possible.
• Mitchell (7/5): Good value for money - Great private villas - swimming pool and would Recommend the in villa BBQ (we had Balinese style). All staff were very welcoming and friendly! Bed was quite hard but luckily we were too tired most days so it didn’t bother us too much. Breakfast was often the same thing every day - great egg selections you can ask for but no bacon to be seen, only to get told that there is bacon on the last day after we already had breakfast. If you have early tours and day out trips, the breakfast starts at 7am which on some days like going to nusa penida or ubud by 9-10am meant no breakfast available

The facilities are good with the rooftop bar and restaurant and room service, laundry, spa etc. The pool lovely and clean, the bed very comfortable and nice sized bath and shower. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone!
• Charlotte Trishika (8/5): It was a peaceful stay overall, the staff was polite. - I liked the private pool, and the ambience within the room and the restaurant. The breakfast spread could be more diverse and cater to more cuisines and they could have a better water policy. They gave us 3 small bottles complementary for water for a family of three (which isn’t enough for a day’s stay) and after breakfast hours they refused to fill up the bottle we provided to take with us during our day’s activities. While I don’t mind having to buy water, access to it at a place of stay at any given time is a basic human right and a sign of good hospitality.

The breakfast buffet was really good and had ample supply. We loved having our own pool too. Layout for the common area works when weather is not very hot because the ceiling fans don’t cool it off as much. Rooms were a little dated and could use some good deep cleans especially behind the bathroom sink bowls. Could see spider webs in the top of bedrooms. Shower head in one of the bathrooms was not tightly fitted and sprayed extra water.

This was my second time staying here and they really made me feel welcome and looked after, especially as a solo traveller. The villas are clean, secure and provide privacy. Would be happy to stay here again

We booked a 9 night stay at Villa Kayu Raja through Booking.com but unfortunately had to leave after only 3 nights due to safety and hygiene concerns. The main issue was the private pool deck area. Several floorboards were not properly secured and felt unstable underfoot, which created a genuine safety risk when walking around the pool. There was also visible mold around the pool edging, which added to the overall concern about maintenance and cleanliness. In addition, despite placing the room service sign out, our room was not cleaned during our stay. We also experienced ongoing issues with insects inside the villa, which made it difficult to relax and feel comfortable. We raised these concerns but felt that they were not properly acknowledged or resolved. As a result, we made the decision to leave early and find alternative accommodation. While Booking.com provided a small travel credit, we were not reimbursed for the unused 6 nights, which was disappointing given the circumstances. I would strongly recommend that the property address these maintenance and hygiene issues before accepting future bookings. Based on our experience, we would not stay here again.

My favourite was the roof top pool. The bed was a little uncomfortable, it was abit droopy like sleeping on a hammock.

Staff very attentive and accommodating when I needed to change rooms in an emergency (rain leaking through roof into room). Can hear other neighbour in the pool, often loud obnoxious Australians! (I am Australian myself 😅). My first room did not uphold constant rain, the roof leaked onto floor and bed and had to move. Staff accommodated this immediately though.
