Guest Reviews
- Leon (8/5): - Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, and location of hotel was close to lots of stores
- William (8/5): - The actual location was a surprise as it is in a strip mall. The room was very clean and well appointed, with new carpet. The shower was excellent. Comfortable bed provided a good sleep.
- Walter (10/5): - Had a lovely stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and facilities were clean.
- derek (8/5): - Many shops n fast food places within walking distance
- Harold (8/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): - nice interior & room - great staff!
- Annette (8/5): - A good little place overall
I appreciated the cleanliness of it very much
- kathee (4/5): - I WAS SURPRISED IT WAS TWO FLIGHTS OF STAIRS TO THE ROOMS. THE TOILET WAS EXTREMLY LOW. THE TILE FLOORS IN THE BATHROOM WERE VERY SLIPPERY. NOT MANY CHANNELS ON THE TV. THERE WAS VERY LIMITED PARKING DUE TO THE PUB NEXT DOOR. I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL SOMEPNE CAME OUT OF THE PUB TO GET A PARKING SPOT
- Edobor (10/5): - Very couteous and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean
- Marj (8/5): - Its in a strip mall. It was clean and in good repair.
- Susan (10/5): - Rooms were very clean. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a strip mall but has good security. You can’t get in front doors without a room card. The room was cramped but had a very good shower. Good to know ahead of time that there are no elevators and all rooms are on second floor, 2 flights of stairs.
- Tianna (6/5): - The headboard of the bed would shake whenever the people in the suite beside us would open/close their door. The bed itself was also extremely noisy too when ever you sit/toss/turn.
Tv is a good size but the image quality is poor and the tv guide wouldn't load.
Free breakfast is fine however, there was no serving utensil for the boiled and peeled eggs so people were just using their hands. Also no hand sanitizer in breakfast area.
FYI this location is right beside a xxx store.
Staff here are friendly. When we first checked in around 9pm, i was kind of surpised that I was questioned about how I got into the building. Was just an unusual thing to be asked. I booked the room on expedia and there was no indication that doors to enter the hotel would be locked at a certain time.
- Catherine (10/5): - Good place to stop for the night. No complaints.
- Glenn (10/5): - The bar downstairs was a bit loud.
- Leanne (6/5): - Hotel was fine. Very friendly staff. The beds were noisy. The mattress must have a cover on it so every time you moved or turned, it sounded like you were rolling on a hige potato chip bag. Not a restful sleep.
- Lacy (6/5): - Located in a strip mall, the breakfast the next morning was terrible - only stayed one night and that was more than enough.
- Pamela (2/5): - We didn't even get to stay at the hotel because we came after midnight. Did not get a refund
- Joanne (8/5): - Doors are locked. You have to ring to get in. You may have to wait at the doors or front desk for service. Not for the impatient!
- Kevin (10/5): - The outside looked a little strange as it was actually in a strip mall in a shopping area… However, it was beautiful inside and run very well
- Pinaki (6/5): - The overall experience was not satisfactory due to the front desk staff. All were unwelcoming, and particularly the next morning front desk staff, Ravneet. Ravneet was rude as she tends to argue with customers. When we showed that the syrup was not coming out of the tap, she asked us to pour it into a cup from the tub. This type of staff should not be in the service industry. I am disappointed and dissatisfied. I will never recommend this property to my friends.
- Vanessa (8/5): - Finding the hotel was the greatest challenge. I was expecting this to be in a strip mall, and the exterior building sign and the stop mall sign for the hotel wasn’t lighted sign. I think a lighted sign would make a big difference. The breakfast area was a little crammed and messy. I also think that the shared containers of continents and food allowed cross contamination and was off putting.
- Lee (10/5): Great staff - All was good at the hotel itself. Where we encountered issues is the website said there were 2 floors and there wasn’t. Stairs are very difficult for both myself and my husband. The staff was very helpful where they could be. Had we known this information beforehand we would have booked elsewhere.
- Tim (10/5): - I was surprised how nice this hotel is, clean and in a good safe location. I would go there again.
- JEAN RAYMOND (8/5): - Nothing special here.
- kevin (8/5): - It was a little pricey
- Sue (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Recommend
- George (10/5): - It was perfect for the price and value. Clean, spacious and friendly staff.
- Frazer (10/5): - Relaxing
- Gilad (8/5): Good - Nice simple small hotel at the outskirts of the city. Nice breakfast. Safe building.
- Alexander (4/5): - This place was a negative surprise with tough parking, locked building because of transient people outside. Would not recommend.
- Florence (8/5): - Better breakfast options please
- Megan (6/5): - When I first arrived I could not get in to check in. The doors are always locked which is wonderful for safety but inconvenient for guests attempting to check in. Also made me second guess the area I was in. The sign was also very small and not very noticeable. The front desk staff were helpful, polite, and informative. As I walked up to my room it was evident the dirty carpet. Once I arrived in my room there was an overpowering smell like a perfume that had been sprayed over a smell the carpet holds? There was also a stain on the couch which made me also feel a bit icky about where I was staying.
- Ceyhan (2/5): - Dirty,noise
- Ryan (8/5): - Good value. An elevator would have been better than lugging my giant suitcase up the stairs but can't win em all.
- Mohammadreza (8/5): - Rooms were very clean. There was no specific parking area for guests.
- Theresa (8/5): - Air conditioner was way to loud kept me awake other than that everything was good
- Jason (10/5): - Good
- Holly (10/5): - Really nice staff and helpful. really close to St. Vital Mall. Many food options and convenient public transit.
- Teresa (8/5): - Parking is a hassle! I had to wait for someone to leave to park by car given it’s beside a restaurant and stores .
- Preston (8/5): - The hotel is comfortable, very clean and in good condition. It's also well located. This is my second time staying there and I'll definitely go back.
- Ma. Carlia (10/5): - Great location
- Brian (10/5): - Convenient location. A little tight for parking if you have a larger vehicle
- Bruce (8/5): Good Place to Stay - All the staff there was friendly, and helpful, the room was good, price was fair, the only negative feedback I have was the cable TV was out for the full stay,
- Pamela (6/5): - The TV didn't work even though they kept saying it would. Had to unplug tv and leave for 15 mins then plug back in and still didn't work. When complained again, they said it would work now. It never did. Mentioned this at check out and was told it was a cable issue. This was never mentioned the evening before. TV is a given when booking a hotel room, not an option. Staff was unconcerned and said it always happens. If they are that aware, perhaps they should get it fixed!
- Krystle (10/5): - Would stay again.
- Roderick (2/5): Won't stay here again! - This hotel is clean. The challenge with this hotel is that one can hear through the walls, the doors bang loudly when shut ,we had too much noise in the hallway with kids running up and down the hall through the night and a lady banging on a door as she was locked out and the occupant was not letting her in.The coffee is lousy and one morning not available in the breakfast room.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok - Need key to get in but can’t get key until you check in. Weird. Ring doorbell and wait until the ONE employee is available to let you in.
- Craig (10/5): - Nice clean room
- Julia (10/5): - Arrived late from the airport.
- DOREEN (6/5): - accessible to everything..
- Olivia (6/5): - Breakfast was poor. We had to wait a long time for plates.
- Gloria (8/5): - The hotel was good. The room was clean. The noise level from other guests was frustrating. There was a party next door both nights.
- Shae (8/5): - It's a good place to stay if you're looking for a minimal place to stay, nothing fancy but gives you what you need. A nice bonus though is there's a great bar right next door and they also have a continental breakfast with an option to make a nice big waffle!
- Minok (6/5): - The heater was running throughout the night, but the room still felt a bit cold and dry while sleeping. The front desk staff in the morning were very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, the evening staff weren’t as welcoming.
- Elijah (10/5): - I loved this hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the room was nice. The only thing I did not like was that it was located in a strip building next to a restaurant, so on some nights, it was very difficult to find a parking space. Other than that, I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again.
- Kim (8/5): - Perfect for our needs! Excellent staff, good facility - clean, well stocked, totally adequate continental breakfast, good location and good value for our money!! We would definitely stay again!
- Melanie A (10/5): - It was a great place to stay! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant/bar next door is amazing.
- Daniel (8/5): - not very acessable and no elevator
- Mary (8/5): Try the Econolodge - To the city for a fun weekend. The rate was reasonable and the reviews were good, so I thought, what the heck, try Econolodge.
Glad I did.
- Michael (8/5): - Good for the value
- Samuel (8/5): - Overall good experience. Only downside is the level of noise made by other guests at the hotel.
- Spencer (8/5): - The property is located in a plaza next to a fairly busy intersection. The plaza has DollarTree, Red Swan Pizza, Money Mart and a risque lingerie store. The four nights that I stayed, fire truck with siren going by was a nightly occurence. There might be a fire station near by. Aside from this, the property is very clean, well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- aldeo (8/5): - The place is ok
- Roberto (10/5): - simple and clean hotel, convenient location.
- Eric (10/5): Ecolodge @ Winnipeg - The staff was fantastic and in the future, we will stay at this Econolodge again. My only wish is they have a hot breakfast in the morning. Other than that, my family and I were satisfied staying at this hotel.
- Gowtham Raj (2/5): - Breakfast was crazy bad, area is very bad
- Iqbal (10/5): - Good service
- Lora (10/5): - Very pleasant front desk girl. Rooms were clean and comfortable
- Igor (10/5): - Great stay
- Vicki (4/5): Overpriced for a less than average hotel. - Overpriced for the hotel. Our bathroom counter had shaved hairs all around the tap. Not accessible for folls with mobiltity issues.
- Leonard (8/5): - Pros:: Room neat & really clean, free breakfast was
Good & Staff was friendly & Helpful 👍❗️
Cons:: Motel signage poor & hard to Find ❗️
Small TV, no Ch Guide & Remote lacked most
TV Functions 😖⁉️ Len C
- Stacey Marie (10/5): - Great location, great price, and very clean and comfortable accommodations overall. Excellent customer service (reception), and a safe and cozy experience.
- Bernard (4/5): - The sheets and pillows smelled awful and I saw hair on the pillows indicating the bedding was not changed. Parking is limited due to the bar patrons using all available space, breakfast was good. I will not be returning to this place.
- Daryl (4/5): - Overall the property was ok. Was disappointed to find the bathroom wasn't really cleaned and didn't have the toilet flushed out when I first checked in. The location was under renovation outside which was awkward to find the main entrance when I first checked in. Ended up going into the restaurant next door instead of the hotel. The staff were friendly and were helpful at check in. The area isn't the greatest around the hotel. Not sure if I would stay here again.
- Terri lynn (4/5): - Wasn't very happy with the noise. Also didn’t like the fact there aas no elevator for all our luggage. As someone with mobility issues it was t a very mobility friendly environment. The breakfast area wasnt well stocked, oatmeal was dried out, no milk or OJ and cereal tasted stale
- Lorne (6/5): - They are in the midst of renovations at the front. There was no signage and when I checked in there was no one at the front desk so I couldn’t tell that I was actually at the right place. It was annoying this morning when I left that I thought that it was snowing but it turned out that they were shaving our sanding the styrofoam so I got covered in white flecks as I left.
- Michael (10/5): - Very friendly staff
- sheila (6/5): - Their neighbours (Adam and Eve sex shop) was a bit disconcerting
- Ben (8/5): Good service - Customer service was good and staff very friendly. The breakfast was decent but the waffle maker does not seem to work well.
- Loana (8/5): - Our stay was great, very accommodating and friendly staff, they are still renovating, and there was no place to take my dogs to do there business, but otherwise it was great
- Yuet (8/5): - Good location!
- Cynthia (2/5): - Under renos which fine but we couldnt find the entrance. The entire facility smells like stale cigarettes and im pretty sure the people next to us were smoking in the room. Do not recommend
- Misty (8/5): - I had a little trouble finding the place. As of September 2024 it was under construction and the name was not overly visible to me. It is in the middle of a little strip mall, so I was certainly not looking for it there. I was looking for a stand alone building.
The room was perfectly comfortable and nothing wrong with it or the bathroom. There weren't too many channels on the TV, so if you are looking for that, you might miss out. I found something to watch and was ready to fall asleep almost as soon as I arrived, so it wasn't a big deal.
The breakfast area is pretty small but did have several choices and you can fix a waffle if you want something hot, like I did.
The front door is locked and you have to either be buzzed in or use your room key to get into the building.
Since it is under construction, I believe everything is new. My room did not have carpet, which I love because it feels cleaner to me. I think all rooms are on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. There is a wide staircase to get to the 2nd floor where my room was.
- Ebrahim (8/5): - Everything was good clean i recommend this hotel to other one
- Patricia (6/5): - Hotel under construction on the outside
Little sketchy
Staff was nice
- Shannon (8/5): - The room did have a smell to it
- Shannon (10/5): - It was a good area to stay close to the mall
- Glenn (8/5): - Overall, the property and the stay was good, and frankly, better than I expected. I can see what the owners have done and are doing to improve this property, and they deserve a lot of credit. When construction is complete, it will be a very good stay. Now, if only they would figure out a way to put in an elevator!
- Gerald (6/5): Acceptable - The front of the neighboring building was renovating. The bed was very noisy if you moved at night.
- Yuet (8/5): - The washroom is a bit run out.
- Ken (6/5): - Construction in front of the entrance. Didn’t smell right.
- Earl (6/5): - I'm used to the area, had to live there for a year. Its not that safe. The hotel backs onto a Beer vendor that is open until the early hours (maybe 3am). The beer vendor attracts unsavory people in the early hours. Plus TAPPS (sports bar) is next door to the hotel. Mostly convenient, but Friday and Saturday night crowd is often drunk and noisy.
- Barbara (8/5): - The property itself was clean, convenient and comfortable.
It was under construction, and therfore the area around was unconvenient.
- rick (10/5): - the motel only is one floor, but you have to go up a flight of stairs. No elevator. The rooms were clean. The breakfast is your typical bread, waffle maker, cold eggs, yogurt, juice, coffee , cereal. Open from 6:30 to 9:30.
- Sanampreet (10/5): - Its 2 star hotel but more than 2 star. Clean , nice staff, parking.
- Susan (10/5): - The hotel was in a shopping mall with restaurants close by. For a pet friendly hotel, there really any place for the dog to take care of business.
- Abdolkhalegh (10/5): - The staff were hospitable and kind.
- Roger G (10/5): - Na
- Fredrick (10/5): - Was highly impressed with the quality of the rooms and the staffs extremely helpful expecially unity one of there receptionist.
- Michelle (8/5): - Staff were so great! Room was clean. Although marked as pet friendly there is really no grassy areas close to take your pet. Additionally, the area behind the building we did walk with the dog was full of litter. Great hotel if you are not travelling with pets.
