Nice spot to see Mont St-Michel from a distance in the morning. If you like sheeps, you will be able to see them pass by twice a day. Very cool to see them with the dogs doing their job.

- Catherine (10/5): - Reception staff very friendly! We didn’t use the dining facilities but there was a restaurant. Clean and comfortable room and bed. This hotel is perfect if you want photos of the green fields in front of Mont St Michel as it is directly across the road. I was lucky enough to see the farmer herding his sheep early in the morning and got some great photos (both with and without the sheep). If you don’t mind walking, it’s a 20min walk to the shuttle (and this will save you parking fees). We walked this road at 11:30pm after visiting Mont St Michel and there were other travelers walking at this time. Great stay.

Parking lot was large and free, and there is a path through a farm you can walk directly down to Mont Saint Michel (allow 25-30 minutes) so you can avoid paying for parking at other parking lot for bus. Front desk personnel were also very polite and helpful. Property was very nice and very clean and comfortable. Had a great AC. And while we didn’t eat at the restaurant downstairs, I heard good things. Would recommend.

- Carole (8/5): Mt St Michele hotel - We could see Mt St Michele from the street. You must drive and park closer to the tram. As you would expect there is much climbing of stairs to see the Abby but it is so fantastic. This was a good place to stay unless you want to spend much more and stay in a hotel right in the village at the base of the Abby.

Arrived fairly late in the evening and left early the next morning to get to Paris. Staff were pleasant and the room was clean. Somewhat strange layout for the family room, and the rooms are a bit sterile with little decoration and no carpet.

A convenient parking lot gives you the option to leave the car behind if you wish to walk 5 km to the Mont, or drive 4 minutes to the nearest paid parking near the shuttle or a 2 km walk to the Mont. Clean rooms, large showers and a breakfast buffet with a few more choices than what is normal (it has eggs and cereals as well as the usual croissants and baguette options, as well as fancy coffees if you wish). Great for a stay at the Mont.

Free parking lot, optional buffet breakfast, spacious room, great choice for overnight stay when you arrive in the evening, walk on the path on the same day, next day can check out and drive to the public parking of Mont st Michel and start the climb.

- dahlia (10/5): - I highly recommend this place and certainly would come back if I ever going back there again. You can see Mont St Michel from the hotel or you can walk there for about an hour. Or else, take a free shuttle which about 5 minute driving. Room very spacious for 4 of us and clean. Just a reminder: please call the property if you think you would arrive after 6pm to make sure to get the key. The downsize: for some reason, there quiet few flies and some "manure" smells, not sure if it's because of farming area??

I was disappointed to find on arrival that there was only a receptionist, who could not leave the desk so we could not get a tea or coffee and there was no bar or dining room. I had read a review that said the dinner was great. When I looked back the review was 2021. Apparently it had all closed nearly 3 years ago. There were no restaurants within walking distance, so could not have wine with our meal as we had to drive. Not what you want when you have driven a long way already!

Fruit in breakfast basket old eg over ripe bananas…maybe improve presentation of fruit, wash the apples and grapes and shine them up for better presentation. We ended up arriving a bit later than the check in time and they were able to put a key in a locked box for us to get to so we could get to the room. Very much appreciated! - Carol (10/5): Nice inn - It is a simple inn. The check-in and check-out were very fast and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean with easy access from the parking lot.
- Christoph (10/5): Location location location - The hotel is in the best possible location. During the day you can walk to Mont Saint-Michel (about 45min to 1h depends on the route you take). In the evening you have a nice view at it from across the street. We took many nice pictures from there. The hotel itself was good. Room had a nice size. It was clean. Only downside was the wifi was not working. If you plan to work from the hotel I would recommend to the the breakfast. It was a nice buffet with many choices. Great value for the price I would say. In the evening there are some good restaurants within a 10 min car drive in required.

Little did we know that we'd fall in love with the area in which we only stayed one day. The hotel, the dinner, the little sheep that walked from the field, to barn, to field morning and night made this a place we will surely visit again. We couldnt ask for a more perfect experience. We loved it there and even missed it after we left.

The food is excellent and they offer gluten free options. Suggest people who smoke outside at night move away from the building. Even with the window shut the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming.

Only stayed 1 night but staff was around late when we checked in around 9:30 and then again to help us find our room and even help carry our baggage to it (it was upstairs and we had heavy bags - no elevator) around 10:30 pm after we returned from eating (dining room was closed and so was almost every place in town which was surprising considering France had just won the World Cup just hours before). Really my only complaint was the very annoying lights in the room that kept turning off and on every time you got near it which was often because the room was small. Beds were so-so and shower was a handheld one.
- dawnellen_@yaho (4/5): - While this hotel was well located in that we could walk to Mont Saint Michel, it was still a mile walk from the bus station (which is the same as the Mont Saint Michel welcome Center.) We are a fit family with backpacks so we were able to walk a mile to the hotel and then the 2 miles to Mont Saint Michel, but others might not be able to do so. There is no taxi or bus service from the bus station to the hotel. Be prepared to walk the mile. The room itself was the most disappointing. It was on the ground floor right next to the lobby with No air-conditioning, no fan, and only one little window to open for fresh air. There are no screens on the windows so all the flies came in, and most disappointingly was that it was where everyone went to smoke outside, so we could not even open our windows. The staff was not empathetic and said there were no more rooms available. It was clearly the worst room possible to get in the whole place. The staff was limited but friendly enough. They accommodated our vegetarian food needs at the attached restaurant very nicely. It was sursidingly quite good, actually. The location was excellent for us and we were excited to be so close to walk to Mont Saint Michel early in the morning, but the room itself left much to be desired.
- John (6/5): Near Mont Saint Michel - Many French hotels seem to have small rooms. This one did a bit too small but not as bad as their showers which an average size man has trouble turning around in. Also many lack air conditions. This one had none and it had been hot all day. The windows opened, though, and the later evening breeze cooled the room as long as you kept you door open. However you could really smell the farm across the road and with farms, there's flies. Finally for 9 Euro the breakfast is not worth it, but there is really no other place and you cannot be sure that in the small towns a cafe will be open. Many are not. These are general thoughts. Specifically the room was very clean and the bed comfortable and very near Mont Saint Michel.

- Arjale joseph (8/5): Very nice hotel but poor location - Everything was amazing except for the part that the hotel is 2km from the bus stop. It is a nice walk in the morning but could be a bit dangerous at night as there's no lights on the street. Almost got run over walking towards it.
- Emily (6/5): Location to Mont St-Michel ideal, hotel so-so - The hotel is about as close to Mont Saint-Michel as one could get without actually staying at the Mont! We saw a herd of sheep crossing the road by the hotel on our first night--wonderfully atmospheric and aromatic! The room itself was fine, crowded, and the shower was tight. The front desk people were not as friendly as in the other hotels in which we stayed in France--dismissive, perhaps because we were American? Breakfast was fine, dinner was just okay.
- canadian (6/5): Convenient location for visiting Mont St Michel - Pleasant staff, dinner in restaurant very good and breakfast nothing special but satisfactory for the 9 E price. More like a motel than hotel. Our second floor room was tiny, no window but skylight that opened, narrow twin beds, one chair, no rugs on Lino floor, no amenities such as Kleenex or shampoo. A bit like a college dorm, although the bathroom was modern, clean and practical. Lovely location. No tea or coffee making facilities.
- Hiker Gal (4/5): Inconvenient location if you don't have a car - The bathroom had a shower head in the corner of the room surrounded by a curtain. There was no shower stall or tub. After I showered, there was water on the floor of the bathroom by the toilet, etc. Not a good situation. I had to be very careful not to slip. Hotel staff seemed rather dismissive instead of welcoming. I had to figure out how to get around the area on my own. No maps were provided to this traveler without a car, and the hotel isn't centrally located near Mont Saint Michel. Good thing I brought a flashlight for walking back from Mont Saint Michel in the evening. Otherwise, it would have been a long trek in the dark. It rained the morning I left to catch a bus to Pontorson train station, and walking for 20 plus minutes in the rain with luggage was a hassle. On my way, I ducked into another hotel to get out of the rain. Staff there, in contrast, was so kind. Welcomed me out of the rain, handed me a towel to dry off with and offered me complimentary tea or coffee!
- Sheri (6/5): Nice hotel for the price - Great view of mont saint michel. Room was spacious. I wish the bathroom had a wall mounted shower head that sat above my head. Our washrrom hadn't a handheld shower head mounted at knee level.
- Mailman (6/5): Ok hotel in a great location! - This was a really, really odd hotel (but not in a bad way). We had a triple, which was three separate beds instead of a double and single. The room itself was spotless and also had plenty of space! The bathroom was modern, spotless and large BUT the shower unit was a hand held affair and once you drew the shower curtain across the bath it acted as a blackout sheet! :) WIFI was odd as well. Only had three codes for the room and you couldn't share codes between multiple devices! WIFI connectivity was also spotty at best. When I could connect it was on the slow side. However the real selling point was the hotels location. It was a literally down the road from Mont Saint-Michel! Easy walking distance to the Abbey (take some good shoes) if you wanted to avoid the crowds at the shuttle stop and also avoid the 11 euro car park charge! Would I stay here again? Probably not. Look like plenty of other, much nicer looking hotels in the area that didn't come up on the Expedia search. Dont get me wrong, the hotel itself was ok. Nothing terrible about it but also nothing terribly good about it either.
- kulipi (8/5): Just perfect! - The hotel is located in front of the Mont-Sat-Michel and the walk there through the lambs fields was really enjoyable. The food at the restaurant is excellent

- Ana (8/5): Convenient hotel to visit Mt. Saint Michel - The hotel has a restaurant that offers all meals and cocktails. The breakfast buffet price is 9 euros (as of May 2017 - pretty good deal for the area). Mt. Saint Michel is visible from certain parts of the property, and you can walk there through open fields full of Blackface Sheep (30-45 min) or drive 5 minutes to park and take the shuttle. The abbey closes at 7pm (beautiful architecture and views!). The town has a lot of commerce most of which is closed after 7pm...perfect time to really enjoy the architecture. Shuttles to the parking lot run until 11pm.

- Chieko (8/5): Reasonable, efficient, with a good restaurant. - An ideal place to stay to visit the Mont St. Michel. Modern and clean rooms with minimal fuss (i.e. reasonable rates) and an excellent restaurant. We were entertained by the chorus of sheep twice a day. Not complaining.
- Jon (10/5): Great Stay Near Mont St. Michele - Great hotel with sight lines to Mont St. Michele. Large room with modern decor and amenities. Beds were soft and very comfortable. Free WIFI which works really well and free parking. The only problem was you need to either make a reservation for dinner in the hotel restaurant prior to your stay (it books up quick) or take the 5 minute drive into town to find a restaurant.
- Bill & Judy (8/5): Great hotel for it's location near Mont St. Michel - The location was close enough to allow us to walk to Mont St. Michel within 20-25 minutes. This allowed us to get some enjoyable exercise and take in all of the sights of St Michel. The choices of food were many and delicious.
- Sara (10/5): Perfect location, a bargain for the price - We absolutely loved the hotel, the dinner in the restaurant downstairs was absolutely delicious. We stayed on the second floor and it was easy to get to, although it was chilly outside it was a very short walk to the parking lot and front desk/restaurant. The room was lovely and quiet with hardwood floors and a skylight, rather large for a European hotel and the bathroom had a bathtub which was exciting. The location was just beautiful, less than five minutes drive from the parking for Mont St Michel. If you have a car, it's definitely worth exploring in the area.

- Colin (10/5): Excellent Location - We have just stayed at this hotel for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is well situated, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are well maintained and the food and hospitality is excellent. The hotel is located directly opposite Mont Saint Michel with a fantastic view of the Island and the daily sheep run is a bonus to all animal lovers. We would highly recommend this hotel.

- Aderito (10/5): Scenic and Quaint - Stayed one night with family while visiting Mont St Michel. Rooms are comfortable, hotel has lots of free parking, very quiet area in a quaint part of town. Breakfast was fantastic (very reasonable cost), watched hundreds of sheep pass by while we ate breakfast, on route to the fields across from hotel. Hotel overlooks a large green field that opens up to the bay and Mont St Michel in the background - very beautiful. Hotel is very close to restaurants just down the road, as well as their own restaurant on site. Went for a nice walk down the road to a market/store that sells local specialties including aged Calvados wine.

We loved the country feel - there was straw in the back alley from the farmer driving by. Pretty and relaxing. We ate in the restaurant - Ithink it was quite authentic food - couldn't really understand the menu - good service. Quiet location.
