Front desk staff very knowledgeable in recommendations to all my questions! Just down right nice friendly humans! Location yes more residential but walkable to all things Hanoi city center and quiet Unless ur not a walker then 3-5$ grab front desk will order one for u! Rooms are dated but clean super clean! Excellent Excellent staff!

- eric (9/5): Emplacement au calme et excellentes prestations - L'amabilité du personnel , le calme ( quartier des ambassades et double vitrage ), l'emplacement est idéal pour ne pas subir le brouhaha de la vieille ville qui n'est qu'à un quart d'heure à pied et de surcroit le trajet est plaisant ( batiments , boutiques..). Le petit déjeuner est parfait. Pas de piscine mais il y a tant à faire dans la charmante ville d'Hanoï.

I reached out to the hotel before arrival to share the significance of this journey, and the response from the team immediately reflected sincerity and care. Sylvia extended a thoughtful upgrade gesture after understanding the personal context of my trip. Front Office engagement was consistently warm and attentive. Thuy ensured clear communication regarding payment links and follow up arrangements. Sylvia engaged personally and made the stay feel intentional. At check out, Nhi handled the departure smoothly despite simultaneous guest arrivals. The Housekeeping team maintained high standards throughout. Duy responded promptly when I requested additional items and delivered them to my room swiftly, reflecting efficiency and attentiveness. Sun’s efforts demonstrated quiet diligence and attention to detail. Hieu ensured that my luggage was sent up to my room promptly upon arrival, which added to a seamless check in experience. Toan and Quynh Anh welcomed me warmly at breakfast and were attentive and professional throughout. Chef Hang thoughtfully prepared the hot soup dish fresh, which added a comforting touch to the dining experience. I would also like to extend my appreciation to Vu Hoai Thu, Assistant Front Office Manager, for her steady leadership. That level of coordination amongst the teams reflects structured leadership and a strong service culture. What stayed with me most was the tone of hospitality. My stay took place during Tet Festival, a period when occupancy is typically high and staffing demands can be challenging. Despite this, the team remained efficient and attentive. During a season of reflection, Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi felt like my first home in the city. I am grateful to the entire team and look forward to returning to Hanoi.
- KWONCA (10/5): Experience Hanoi - Overall, it was a great experience. Everything you need is in one location: an excellent restaurant with a wide range of international and Vietnamese options, a spa on the 11th floor, and a very smooth reception process—check-in and check-out were quick and easy. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, though they will likely benefit from an update within the next few years. The spa ( Alba Spa) offers many packages (massage and cosmetic treatments), and it’s spotless. The therapists were professional throughout. I also used the on-site luggage storage while traveling for two weeks, then returned to Hanoi before my flight back to Europe—no issues at all. Breakfast was very good, plenty of Vietnamese and international choices, a different soup every day, and a cook who makes excellent omelets.
- Hueni (4/5): - The hotel is located in a nice area, very close to other restaurants, shops and caffe. The breakfast was good and staff serving very professional. The cleaning staff was very nice, leaving us different written notes in the room which made us smile every day. Very very human and touching. The hotel has an odd smell from the carpets and old furniture. The bath is small and the distance between the toilet and the shower is really limited. Old and dirty room carpets, with blocked windows - obviously a hotel in need of renovation. We booked a superior room cathegory but it did not meet our expectation so we asked to have a room change. Unfortunately the reception staff just told us they are booked out and then never came back or checked in with us. Then they avoided us completely. The hotel restaurant (where we wanted to eat upon arrival) had a powerful smell of chlorine so we decided to go somewhere else instead... The hotel blocked a large sum of money (over 500 euro) on our card for more than 1 month. I would not recommend it.

On both occasions we were upgraded to a suite on the 10th floor. Both spacious and quiet, although it would be fair to say could do with new carpets. The location is perfect. Close enough to walk to the majority of the touristy stuff but in an area with lots of local restaurants frequented by the locals. Staff were helpful in so many ways. Hung in the bar/restaurant made the small area really welcoming. We stayed here at the end of a month in Vietnam and the food at the hotel was lovely. Definitely not bland hotel food. We were also made to feel very welcomed by Toan who worked in the restaurant and the breakfast restaurant.

The hotel is close to a number of embassies and within walking distance to most tourisr attraction. The staff was very kind, polite and helpful. Both Ms Phuong and Ms Trang provided excellent service during the BKFST. It is the place for us to return to whenever we are back in Hanoi.

Staff were friendly and helpful, professional and enthusiastic. Breakfast choices very good, staff were welcoming and helpful......happy start to the day. Room very comfortable, could adjust air con to exactly how we like it (not too cold). Asked for quiet room higher up and it was. I would definitely come back.

We were booked to stay for five nights but extended it to six as an extra night in this lovely hotel as it was a much better option than an airport hotel we had booked. The hotel is very convenient for all the sights and interests that Hanoi has to offer, making it easy to get around. There are many restaurants in the area serving most people’s tastes. The hotel has every amenity you need, the breakfast is varied and very nice. The bar is small and very friendly. The big selling point are the staff, who without exception, were kind, friendly and very helpful.

A testament to their dedication to service can be illustrated by the actions of a staff member named Thu who went above and beyond. There was a package that I had arranged to be delivered to the hotel during my stay that had not arrived by the time I was preparing to check out. I had a flight to catch later that evening and was not sure what to do about it. Without having to ask, Thu took the initiative to ease my concerns and resolve the issue. Thu worked her magic and after a few phone calls had tracked down the package and had it expeditiously delivered to the hotel. Thu's resourcefulness and dedication made it possible to receive my package and make my flight out of Hanoi on schedule and with peace of mind. Thu’s actions spoke volumes about the level of care and attention to detail that the staff at Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi provide. She went above and beyond her duties, turning what could have been a stressful ending to my trip into a positive and memorable experience. - 628tuy_nn (10/5): Wonderful stay. Highly recommend - I recently stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi with my family. From the moment we arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Check in was smooth and quick by Ms Chi. The room decoration just basic and quite old. But the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping team kept everything spotless throughout my stay. The location was perfect and close to local attractions, restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again.

- Khuuthaphuong (10/5): Great Experiences - I just got back from another stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hanoi, and honestly, it was just as good—maybe even better—than the last time. This place has pretty much become my go-to whenever I’m in the city, mainly because the service is amazing and the staff are genuinely friendly. I showed up at a weird hour, about 4 AM, after a long trip. Mr. Phuong, the night manager, was a lifesaver—he checked me in quickly and made sure everything went smoothly so I could get some rest. That kind of help, especially at that time of night, really means a lot. The rest of the stay was just as great. Thuy, Minh, Thu, and Nhi at the front desk were always super helpful and quick to sort out anything I needed. They really went out of their way to make things easy for me. The hotel itself is comfy, clean, and well-kept, but honestly, it’s the staff that make it special. Their kindness and attention really stood out. No doubt I’ll be back here next time I’m in Hanoi. Highly recommend it if you want great service and a place where people actually care about your stay.
- JohnC-Bangkok (10/5): Excellent Top Quality Service In Hanoi - This hotel is highly recommended - although an older property, the rooms are comfortable, food was excellent, but what really stood out was the amazing staff - front desk, breakfast and downstairs cafe - they recognized my hilton hhonors status and were always as helpful as they could possibly be... The price is also very reasonable - and the location good in a downtown central area - so I will be back for sure!

The location is excellent — conveniently situated in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore Hanoi's cultural landmarks and enjoy the vibrant local scene. The staff were the real highlight of my stay. Special thanks to Mr. Minh, Ms. Nguyen, Mr. Sky, and his Front Office team for their warm hospitality and professionalism. They made check-in smooth and were always available to assist with any request throughout the stay. Ms. Hong also deserves special mention for her exceptional service during our late-night dinner — she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. A big thank you as well to the wonderful breakfast ladies on the morning of July 5th, 2025. Their cheerful attitude and efficient service made for a pleasant start to the day. Overall, the Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi provided a welcoming and comfortable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

- T8321TUrichardm (10/5): Wonderful Staff – Great Breakfast – Ideal Location - We will definitely stay again. - We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi in May 2025 for 6 nights and loved every single day. From the moment we were welcomed inside, to the moment we said goodbye, we were always presented with big cheerful and genuine smiles from the wonderful staff. No matter what time of the day or night we came or left, there were always staff waving hello or goodbye. All the hotel facilities were fine….the waiting lounge was comfortable and spacious, the downstairs bar and dining was relaxing and inviting (try their Bun Cha….outstanding!!!) and all up no problems at all with anything. Our room was lovely and spacious with plenty of storage and a good size bathroom, yes the carpet was looking a bit tired but that shouldn’t bother anyone as it’s such a minor thing. Our room was our oasis when the streets of Hanoi got too much for us. The hotel location is great, just out of the way enough from the real tourist areas yet walkable to Hoan Kiem Lake and Old Quarter (or a cheap Grab/ Taxi if you prefer). We found walking was terrific as there was so much local activity between the hotel and the lake area. We always felt safe, we always had locals saying hello as we past them plus we found some terrific restaurants (also street food but we didn’t do that). I think the location is a real drawcard to staying here. (the big bank next door will change up your dong denominations if you need - so handy) Buffet breakfast was outstanding…..plenty of selection, Eastern, Western, Hot, Cold, Juices, Fruit, eggs prepared on order, and delicious pho….the dining area was spacious, very clean, very welcoming and was a highlight of our stay. But the best part of our Hilton Garden Inn stay, was the beautiful staff. From the front desk, to the porters, to the breakfast crew and even the cleaning personnel…..always professional, always helpful, always smiling, always happy to chat and always making sure their guests are happy. They felt like family….a really nice feeling when your away from home. We will definitely stay again.

- ejh4isu (8/5): A Nice HGI In A Great Part of Hanoi - This is a very nice HGI in a wonderful section of Hanoi, with great shops, food, and luxury brands all in a little area. The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and suited in a good location. The staff is excellent tending to any needs immediately. And, scoring a nightly fare of <$100 on both visits make it a great bargain. The only complaint I have is the Wi-Fi - just count on it not working every night, several times, for a few minutes a time. Its not a big deal, and the longest its been out is probaby 5 min, but it is an annoyance. Other than that, I'll always stay here on my visits to Hanoi. Oh, and the breakfast! Outstanding. Thanks Hanoi HGI staff.

We were warmly welcomed with a big smile in the early afternoon before check-in time on Apr23. What a great thing it is to have the front desk relate to tired travelers. Just the smile alone melted away our concern that we would get a room early (very early!)....we needed two rooms - we got one....all good. 5 stars all around. This Hilton's breakfast buffet is exceptional - so many choices of fresh foods - more than any one person can handle. We had our customized pho several times....so delicious, and a nice intro to the street food we would soon explore. And the staff are friendly, helpful and always had a big smile. Just an enjoyable start to a day of exploring this vibrant country.
- laragustin (10/5): Good decent clean hotel - This hotel is about 15 minutes walk to town so the location is quiet and yet walkable. They gave us a bunch of drink vouchers, which was nice. Front desk helped me with my Grab issue when I wasn't able to communicate with the driver about his payment. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom large and clean. I remember the water pressure wasn't great though. The breakfast selection was great - Eastern and Western food with a great selection and the usual egg/omelette section. The only thing was there there was no balcony for our room but turns out we wouldn't have wanted one with the air quality so bad in Hanoi.

- suecU4607VR (8/5): Just so-so, some positives, some negatives - Typical Hilton Garden Inn, almost feels like you’re back in the US with a couple of exceptions. First of all, the check-in took forever. We arrived about mid-night after a day of challenging traveling. My reservation was already attached to my Hilton Honors #. Usually, in the US and other countries that means that check-in is a breeze, but unfortunately, not so in Hanoi. Seems that the desk clerk had to complete some paperwork that perhaps could have been completed prior to our arrival. Secondly, the carpets in the room are stained and need to be replaced. The furnishings are quite tired. The hotel is non-smoking, but cigarette butts from a previous guest were found on the little balcony. Fortunately, the room did not smell like cigarette smoke, but it seems that the balcony should be swept between guests. Some of the guests in the hotel are Chinese businessmen, and they are quite loud and pushy, jumping in front of other guests in the breakfast area and when ordering at the bar. Other guests were either North American, British, or Indian, and all quite pleasant. Other positives of the hotel is that the nightly rate was quite reasonable, the breakfast bar was excellent, and the staff were quite accommodating and eager to please. Perhaps I’d stay here again in the future, but only after exploring other options.

- Cindy (8/5): Hilton helped to save our holiday after a bad experience at another hotel! - Although the rooms were older, I really appreciated that all the basic amenities were taken care of (like the bathrooms, beds, table space and hot water) and that there were ample hangers and lots of space to hang out clothes and put our things comfortably. The rooms were also really clean and the hot water was working just fine—we could shower and enjoy soaking in the bathtub without the water running cold halfway through washing our hair, like in the hotel we were at just before. The hotel itself was very nicely located in a more peaceful part of Hanoi and next to a few nice restaurants, including local food, but not too far at all from the Old Quarter where most of the attractions are. The famous jazz bar is also just about 11 minutes’ walk from the hotel. We really appreciated the professionalism of all the staff. No one made disrespectful personal comments unlike in our previous location. Staff were clearly properly trained as employees who understood that they were working in a hotel and the people they were providing customer service to were guests. We have discovered that this is something we cannot take for granted, although it seems so basic. Absolutely nothing!

The rooms were clean and well appointed, granted this is an older property with age showing in a few places. Straight shot 15-20 minute walking distance along a well paved tree-lined road to the Old Quarter. Super friendly staff. Great value, with the Hilton touch, option for those that just need a place to sleep with a hearty breakfast.

Fantastic road side eateries all around - This Hilton is at a great location with polite & courteous staff who checked us in fairly early & upgraded us to a lovely balcony suit. Local eateries, cafés & shacks serving street food were a hop, skip & jump away. Peaceful, easy walks to sightseeing places from either side of the hotel in different directions.
- trbg2 (6/5): they can do a lot better - Hilton Garden Inn, Hanoi Hilton Garden Inns attempts to milk the brand name Hilton by giving the services of a 2 star hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn at Hanoi was no different. Expect what one expects of a two star. A supposedly clean room where they cut corners. Watch how house keeping wash and dry the coffee mugs in the room and one gets the full story. They wash it in the bathroom and then dry it with used towels. Sometimes those very dry towels are used to wipe the toilets and bath. Which comes first I did not notice in this specific hotel. However, did notice them using used towels. The room we were given was claustrophobic to mention the least. The shower area was elevated and one had to be very careful or one would bump one’s head against a lot of things. If I was desperate, I would stay here but otherwise I would search for other options.
- BillB1937 (10/5): Excellent hotel and staff - This HGI exceeded my expectations. I stayed here twice this month, and both times were excellent. We are full time travelers and Diamond members. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and quiet. Breakfast was very nice. The service at this hotel is excellent. Every employee from the front desk to the restaurant members are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The breakfast host knew our diet restrictions immediately upon giving our room number. The bar staff made us a custom fresh fruit punch that was delicious. We also really appreciated the free drink coupons and the complimentary laundry machines. Small issue is that the WiFi/Internet was. weak in our room.

- USNA88JRM (10/5): Great location to explore Hanoi - We feel that this was a very nice hotel for our first stay in Hanoi. It is close enough to walk to and enjoy all the hustle, bustle, and noise of the Old Quarter, but far enough away to get a good night’s sleep in a not so noisy part of town. The front desk staff was welcoming. The breakfast staff in the restaurant were exceptional, and the breakfast was great and exceeded our expectations, especially compared to other Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the States. We were upgraded to a balcony room and truly enjoyed our stay. We will be back. Also, definitely take in some of the Rooftop Bar culture in Hanoi. It’s really fun.

- NancyL275 (10/5): Perfect place to start a trip - I stayed here for 3 nights when I arrived after 30+ hours of air travel. This stay was a personal prequel to an organized tour. It was a perfect place to recover from travel, reset clock, and get ready for next adventure. Staff are overwhelmingly responsive and helpful, suite was good, small restaurant inexpensive and tasty, and even a free laundry room where you can wash those travel clothes. Not any complaints. Can walk to several landmarks.

- thelonious22 (10/5): Nice central hotel for Hanoi visit - While most sights required a Grab or sightseeing bus ride, the location about a kilometer from Hoan Kiem Lake was excellent. Room lacked character but it was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast spread with a good mix of Western and Vietnamese food. Staff were professional and very attentive as we never had to wait more than a few seconds when we needed anything.

Excellent rooms and i think it was recently opened due to closure for renovations of the real Hanoi Hilton,. The style not the same as the most recent new build Garden inns. The layout for this being constrained by the building renovated to accommodate it . Good location , an easy walk to the main museums. One point, the taxi to and from the airport caused grief, even though the hotel organised the return trip to the airport for us, so next time it will be by the Grab app both ways. NB the hotel did nothing wrong, it was the taxi driver.

- 321ianm (10/5): A great hotel in superb Location - We stayed here for four nights when we arrived in Vietnam and had a wonderful time staff the room facilities food and everything are wonderful. Before we flew back we stayed here a couple of extra nights and it really is convenient for getting to the old city and also other parts, wonderful restaurants nearby. Will stay again when we return.
