- Guest (3/5): - The location was nice. Lots of food options close by. Shower handle was broken. Hair all over the shower. The sheets might have been changed/clean but it was difficult to tell. The most disappointing part... there was an issue with the payment because the night front desk person placed a charge on the wrong card and it created a lot of problems. The GM was suppose to have corrected but instead he charged my debit card $107.50 with no explanation... on top of the room rate. I requested multiple call backs with zero communication to settle this matter.

Housekeeping service may sure I had everything I needed, and the room was very clean. The breakfast was good too.

Every single member of the staff that I spoke to was extremely friendly . . . cleaners in the hall, ladies on duty at breakfast, people behind the front desk. The hotel was very clean, very comfortable, very quiet. We have no real complaints at all. My daughter, who works for a company who inspects buildings for damage, did notice some water spots on the ceiling . . . none of the rest of us would have even seen them.

- Crystal (7/5): Great staff, the manager ( I forget his name is always so nice) Kim and Taylor at the front are some of the kindest peop - Location to Thomson I may have missed the information regarding housekeeping but we needed new towels and the trash changed by day 4 and had to request it. When we sent message through the communication app, it’s not received well. We got new towels right away after request but the trash could not be changed because the housekeeping was gone for the day. Nothing to solve my issue just, sorry they are gone, I’ll send up towels. This was Wednesday at 3 pm and we had been there since Sunday. I thought they would at least bring towels and take trash every other or every 3rd day. But again, maybe this isn’t the policy anymore and I missed that somewhere. The laundry facilities take quarters but the hotel is cashless and does not give change. This was inconvenient. The QR code cost extra to use for the machines. Room drawers had lots of dead bugs inside. The staff is so amazing at this location!

Pool area was closed all weekend, even though when booking it said was open and that was a big reason we booked this hotel. There looked like mold on the shower head and on the tub. There was used plastic spoon, fork, and knife in a side table. The vent above the toilet was very dusty, not sure if cleaned. There was a chip in the side table. And the WiFi was where you have to go to a separate page to log in on your phone and you are unable to use any systems you bring in the WiFi. Tried to ask to pay for a soda and front desk said it was for higher members. Tried to use the vending machine instead and it was out of order. The shower bar for the curtain was off a little. Check out was at 12 and they called around 11 and 11:45 to remind you it was at 12. Do not disturb was on door at check out and around 11:30 we had a knock on the door from housekeeping. Felt a big pushy to leave before check out time. Breakfast was not mine or my husbands favorite. We ended up not eating much and going somewhere else to eat. They didn't refill the milk the first day when we came down and the second day the milk was a little warm. Ac in the room did not go down to the temp it said and no matter how many times I pressed it sometimes it would not go up or down in temperature setting.

- Richard (6/5): - Heavily used for construction workers. Carpet & furniture had stains. Room rate $$ did not meet the expectations. This is the second time I’ve stayed there.

My children were profiled by the night desk agents and the maintenance man whenever they were not with me in the room. If they went outside to the car for anything or just outside the hotel in general, even though they had the key card to get back into the hotel, they were always asked where they were going or what room they were in. That is not acceptable. My kids are both over the age of 18 even if they are children of color. This hotel needs to teach its older night staff, not to racially profile guests.

- thomashM2009XA (10/5): Absolutely Exceptional Stay at Hampton Inn Thomson! - From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, this hotel exceeded every expectation. I had mistakenly booked the room under my name instead of my wife's, who is the Hilton Honors member. But let me tell you—this didn’t cause even the slightest hiccup. As I approached the entrance, a kind lady near the front desk met me halfway to the door—not in a weird way, but as if she had already reviewed the reservations and knew who was arriving. Before we even made it to the desk, she greeted me by name, which blew me away. Easiest, fastest, most personal check-in I’ve ever experienced. I ran back out to the car to grab our things. My son was asleep, so I went up to check out the room first. While the online pictures showed a tub with jets and this room didn’t have one, we didn’t care—the room was immaculate, spacious, pleasantly scented, and already cooled to the perfect temperature. The beds and pillows? Heavenly. My wife and I both agreed we hadn’t slept that well in a long time. As we carried everything in (including our sleeping toddler), that same front desk clerk met us again halfway to the door, immediately offering help with our bags after seeing the baby. We didn’t need it at that moment, but her thoughtfulness was deeply appreciated. Now let’s talk breakfast—HOLIDAY INN, take notes. This complimentary breakfast was next-level. We saw an elderly woman who’d recently been hospitalized and was unsure where to go. We helped guide her to breakfast, and the kitchen staff not only made her a plate but refilled it, made sure she had plenty to drink, and even helped her pack some food to take back to her room. That’s the kind of hospitality that you can’t teach—it comes from the heart. When we went to check out, the same front desk team member was joyfully speaking with the elderly woman, giving her full attention. But she still noticed me off to the side, gave me a warm smile, mouthed “thank you for staying with us,” took my card packet without missing a beat, and had my receipt emailed before we even walked out. This hotel is now our halfway stop anytime we’re visiting my wife’s family. We’ll be back—and next time, we’re bringing others with us!
- Thomas (10/5): Absolutely Exceptional Stay at Hampton Inn Thomson - Absolutely incredible stay at Hampton Inn Thomson! I accidentally booked under my name instead of my wife's (Hilton Honors member), but check-in was smoothest I’ve ever experienced. As I walked in, the front desk clerk met me halfway, greeted me BY NAME before I even got to the counter, and had everything ready. The room was spotless, cool, and the beds and pillows were heavenly. While the photos online showed a jetted tub and this room didn’t have one, the comfort made up for it completely. When we brought our sleeping toddler inside, the same staff member met us at the door again and offered to help with bags—without hesitation. That kindness stood out. Breakfast was top-notch. We saw staff go above and beyond helping an elderly guest who’d recently been hospitalized. They made her plate, got her drinks, and sent food with her—true hospitality. At checkout, the staff was still amazing—handling things quickly while engaging kindly with guests. This hotel is now our halfway stop when visiting family—and we’ll absolutely be back (with friends next time)!

We are not big on camping so we decided to stay at a nearby hotel. We were looking for something cleaner and less sketchy than a motel, and this was perfect. The hotel was clean, modern, and the tv had apps which was great. The hotel staff was so friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back next time we go stargazing!

The pool was closed our entire week last year and we were very disappointed it was closed this week too. We unfortunately have non refundable reservations again in a couple of weeks and are truly hoping they have it fixed and open by then.

- Richard (7/5): Good - Better than surrounding hotels Wasn't as clean as I expected and not maintained as I expected.
- Jestine (6/5): - The staff was very friendly. However, the carpet had stains and smell like urine in the first room. We had to be relocated around 3 am due to my husband being bit by a bedbug on the second night. Staff was very helpful, but no refund and/or discount was offered. We stayed the last night only because of its convenience, but will not stay there again.
- Kametria (6/5): Pleasant - Location and value The loudness at the pool that was supposed to be closed in the middle of the night
