- Kenneth (9/5): Would stay again in a heartbeat. Ema restaurant on site was excellent. Included breakfast was adequate but not memorable - Great location. Close to excellent restaurants and public transportation Noisy neighbors kept us up until past midnight. Our room overlooked a noisy back alley . Major fire station on Illinois St with frequent alarms
- JEAN-LUC (9/5): Bon emplacement - Superbe emplacement.

- min (10/5): - Great breakfast, clean room, friendly staff, great location. Do not put two bottles there which is not free, charge $5 each with small notification, it is stupid and cheating, who decide this should be fired from your team, poor leadership.
- Sylvia (10/5): Very happy with the accommodations, loved the city and will probably return sometime in the future. - The staff were so helpful in giving us directions to various attractions. Our room had a beautiful view of the city and the breakfast that was complimentary had many choices. It was a little too far from the train stop had to walk 10 or more blocks with luggage.

- Laurie (10/5): Location, breakfast and roomy room. - Room with a sofa bed and two queens was roomy and comfortably accommodated 5 adults. The breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. Location was very close to the River walk too. Nothing, perfect for a long weekend.
- Oleg (9/5): -
- James (10/5): Was great - Great location to every thing No answer
- Laurie (10/5): - Staff even presented my son with a little goodie bag for his birthday.
- Sarah (2/5): Stay elsewhere, for the same price you can probably get better quality. - The only thing we liked was the location - Everything, from the beds, to the hygiene, the HVAC needs to be addressed, the property needs to be better maintained overall. It is not a housekeeping issue, it is a hotel management issue.
- Eric (8/5): Very enjoyable. - The bed was great! Breakfast was good. Staff nice. View wonderful! Bathroom shower area needs scrubbing & bathroom spray is a must since you have no fan!
- Antoine (8/5): -
- Bean (10/5): Excellent facility and front of house staff. Still expensive for a single night. - Had to skip breakfast
- Lisa (10/5): First time in Chicago and staying in a Hyatt! - Central location, great breakfast, Ema is delicious and all the staff seemed to go above and beyond; always a smile and asking what they can do for me! It was further than I thought from River; I’m not used to all the walking but it was good for me. No complaints about the property.

- nataliaeH9064NW (10/5): Short girls trip - Our stay was brief but lovely. The area was full of things close by to do. The breakfast was amazing considering it was included. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Specifically they helped us check in early as we had an early flight. They allowed for us to leave our bags after check out. The room was spacious and clean.

- 123sheilal (6/5): It’s a okay place to stay - The hotel was OK. A very standard old room with a terrible view. Breakfast was better than Holiday Inn, It’s not bad but it’s the same every day. Location is very convenient, Short walk to a lot of place. Bus and train station also close. In conclusion, It is a safe stay. Nothing too bad nothing too good, If you’re just wanna a warm and clean place to stay. It still a reasonable choice.
- graciela (10/5): - muy buen desayuno

- laurensC4341IT (6/5): Frustrating check-in experience - Very frustrated that we were unable to check-in prior to 4:00pm despite the front desk staff telling us our room was ready. I've never had a hotel refuse to allow an early check-in when the room was ready. We were definitely not the only customers waiting in the lobby to check-in and frustrated about doing so. Once the clock changed to 4:00, the front desk staff said "okay, you may check-in now". Outside of that, which certainly set the tone for the stay, I will say the evening front desk staff were extremely hospitable when we called down for a few different items.

- Geraldine (10/5): Lovely hotel, great staff and wonderful location - Breakfast was good but busy, it finished at 9am which I felt was early especially as the queue could be long Nothing really
- Vanessa (8/5): -
- Emily (9/5): Great stay! We would happily book again. - The continental breakfast was the nicest continental breakfast I've ever had! The room was great! The bathroom was updated & clean. I appreciated the white noise machine to help with the siren noise from the nearby fire station. Aside from the noise outside, the room was quiet. I did not hear noise from neighboring rooms & little noise from the hallway. Staff were abundant, responsive, courteous, & helpful. The location was great! Close proximity to public transit & the neighborhood was quite nice, with many great restaurants. The mattress on the foldout sofa was a little on the thin side but suitable. There were only sheets & a thin cotton blanket for the foldout. We had to request an additional blanket. There was a broken drawer at the bottom of the chest of drawers.
- corinne (10/5): Family stay in Chicago - We loved this hotel so much! The staff were all so friendly, especially at reception. A special mention to Veronica who checked us in past midnight after 22h of travelling got us so excited with all her recommendations of what not to miss out on in Chicago! She was such a beautiful ambassador to the hotel and the city!
The breakfast is gorgeous and the restaurant beautiful.
Our room was so comfortable for a family of 5 and we loved the view of the skyscrapers from our beds and got to watch a spectacular thunderstorm storm one night. Beds are incredibly comfortable and bathroom really spacious with loads of space for toiletries which is great when travelling with 2 teen girls!
The location was perfect, just 2 blocks from the riverwalk with restaurants all around us, we walked everywhere for 6 days and always felt very safe, even walking at night.
We found a mess left by previous occupants that had been missed by cleaners and were blown away by the hotel's response: they had left a heartfelt handwritten apology and a bag of treats when we came back to our room, as well as a refund of one night! Nothing, we had a perfect stay, hope we can come back one day! We will highly recommend it to any friends going to Chicago.
- susanwY7433YP (10/5): We'll be back! - Weekend trip to Chicago with my sister and our daughters. Valet parking was easy and we didn't feel rushed. We were greeted with enthusiasm and provided all necessary information. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast had something for everyone! Iced coffee at the drink station was a fan favorite of our college age daughters!
- Marion (8/5): -
- Departure15936906294 (8/5): Great place to stay! - The hotel was beautiful. The room was clean. The hotel staff was friendly. The room size accomodated my family very well! The loation was well situated between most attractions.
- Michael (9/5): Nice breakfast, clean hotel, good location - Comfy beds . Good breakfast with slightly different options each day .
Close to fire department but noise did or other us. All good
- shamika (10/5): -
- Hitesh (8/5): Overall good but staff at reception is more about what teir you bliong not knowing every one starts some where - Central Staff attention
- paulaliciar (4/5): Bad breakfast with small dining area and lots of guests - Breakfast was not good at all and the breakfast space is not big enough for the amount of guests needing to eat and sit. Our family of 7 did not get to sit and eat our breakfast, we had to stand due to how packed it was and the food tasted horrible. We went elsewhere the second day for breakfast. They also charge a $100 per room deposit that they say will be given “right back” to you at checkout but come to find out it takes 3-5 business days not including weekends. Also please be advised that there is NO POOL at this hotel. We were not aware and travelled with small children that wanted to swim. We asked if we could go to their other hotel downtown to swim that has a pool since we are Hyatt members and the staff said no and were not helpful at all. Not a great trip overall due to the hotel we stayed at.

- curtf518 (10/5): Great location to explore Chicago and excellent service - Perfect location to see the city. Hotel super clean. Staff amazing. Included breakfast is very good. Only minor drawback is the noise from the fire station directly across the street (you may need ear plugs).
- katiemO1426RP (10/5): Great Stay - This was our second stay at the River North Hyatt. The staff is consistently professional and attentive and the hotel is clean and comfortable. Special shout out to Yourdalys who went out of her way to help people during the busy breakfast buffet.
- Dreamer29232615961 (10/5): Chicago spring break trip - I chose Hyatt because it was a reasonably priced hotel that was pretty central to all the things I was doing in chicago. I was walking distance from most things or a short Uber/taxi ride away which worked out great.
The check-in process was quick and easy. I arrived by train well before check-in time, and the staff at the front desk let me know I could check my luggage at the hotel for free before/after check-in/out which was a huge convenience!
The room (city view) was spacious and clean. The hotel staff visited the room each day to clean and restock. They did a great job and were respectful of belongings. Everything in the room worked (tv/fridge/lights/furnace) as expected. I could see the Sears tower from my room!
There is a fire station across the street and even though we were on the 12th floor, we could hear it quite well day and night. The hotel did supply earplugs and a white noise machine which can help light sleepers. With the noise of the furnace fan and the earplugs the noise of the firestation and traffic honking below did not bother me. As far as noise from within the hotel, things were quiet. I never heard other guests making any noise through walls or anything like that, only typical city noise from outside.
The breakfast each morning was great, and far exceeded my expectations. The staff at breakfast were quick to clean empty tables and restock items as they ran out and were friendly and helpful. My experience was if you want to avoid lines, get there early. I provided my email address for a rewards program in order to receive free water bottles for the duration of my stay which turned out to be awesome. I did also notice that if you head to the bathrooms on the lobby floor there is a water bottle filling station you could use as an alternative. I of course didn't see this until the last day (oops).
Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The general vibe was great, staff were awesome, location was great, and was super clean and comfy. Would stay here again.
- Nathan (8/5): -
- Timothy (9/5): - How easy check in was and how friendly the staff was Bed was uncomfortable and parking took a long time to get into the valet
- Alexandra (10/5): Little incident - Finding a roach at night in the bathroom but staff moved quickly to deal with it
- RebeccaM4775 (8/5): Great stay - Overall good experience, no major issues. The room was clean and comfortable. Attentive staff and responsive to requests. Breakfast was adequate, lots of options, gets busy on weekend. Location was perfect for anything we wanted to do. Short walk to the Red line, a little longer walk to the larger station at Clark/Lake. We were able to subway anywhere we wanted to go. Minor inconveniences - our fridge in the room didnt see to get quite cold enough, and the room darkening shade didnt pull down. Overall not deal breakers. Great experience and we would definitely stay here again!
- Andrea (10/5): - Todo el hotel está increíble! Desde la ubicación hasta la habitación
- Gaye (10/5): Overall I enjoyed my stay the rooms were very clean - The views the location and the staffs was very good Breakfast! I feel like they should have at least different options

- D5461DXjeffreys (2/5): Hyatt - I would strongly recommend spending your money elsewhere. This hotel appears to be poorly managed, and my experience with ownership and management was deeply disappointing. Based on this experience, I would not choose to do business with this corporation again.
- BLAKE (1/5): -
- Ana edenia (10/5): -
- Patrick (8/5): -
- Ronalyn (7/5): Is not worth I paying and parking so expensive - Room is ok but not the breakfast is no option and few food and not exactly normal breakfast Breakfast meals
- Ali Adel (10/5): Great location with great breakfast - Clean and the location is in the center which is close to everything No parking only valet or you have to go to a garage two blocks away from hotel
- PFeng33 (10/5): Highly recommend - Hyatt Place Chicago/River North - Conveniently located with easy access, this place really stood out to me. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The food was delicious and well prepared, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience that I’d be happy to repeat.
- Erika (10/5): -
- Leah (8/5): Overall stay was good, and great breakfast. - Property was great, location was perfect for where we had to go for food and attractions. Our a/c was not cool enough, and had to adjust the thermostat multiple times.
- Kyle (10/5): -
- Alexis (10/5): -
- Jessie Anne (10/5): Customer service was excellent the room and location was amazing is literally close with everything. The free breakfast - Customer service was excellent Make sure when you check in you have to agree right away for cleaning request. Because if you change your mind the 2nd day or 3rd day they can’t clean your room anymore. They can only remove the trash and give you fresh towels.
- Shantell (8/5): - Location Breakfast subpar
- DJ'can (10/5): Great place to stay. - The facility was clean and well kept. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the variety was awesome. I wouldn't say it's a dislike, but I wish they had an airport shuttle.
- Corine (9/5): -
- Isaac (10/5): -
- Hailey (10/5): Amazing ! - The supervisor at the front desk was very friendly and had a great personality. He had dreads but I do not remember his name. Great customer service skills.
- Madison (6/5): - Nice rooms. But not very clean. Hair was all over in my bathroom. The tv did not work… kept skipping out blacking out. The valet was kind of silly.
