From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was outstanding. The staff genuinely cared for all the guests (shout out to Gustavo and Anny). The food was incredible—probably the best curated food and drinks I’ve had in a long time. It was also very vegetarian-friendly, except for dinner. We spent a lot of time by the pool and jacuzzi, and the DJs created the perfect vibe. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It’s truly the best of Cabo.

First of all, the whole team here is some of the best I’ve come across in travels around the world. The hotel is very clean, very organized and the food is delicious. If you are hoping for a wild party at an all inclusive, this isn’t it. If you are looking for thoughtfully curated luxury without pretension, interesting art and music, and easy access to San Jose del Cabo’s art district and lively neighbourhoods - you have found it. Instead of watching drunken tourists around a pool, you can watch fisherman, seabirds, and the resident sea lion patrol for post-fishing treats.

- Explorer794368 (10/5): Don’t hesitate to book your stay here - This is a great hotel if you want a beautiful setting outside of the Cabo craziness and appreciate higher end setting but don’t love the isolation. With the rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking the active marina and the ocean, the private beach club and tastefully decorated rooms and artsy hallways you get a great resort experience without being in a huge hotel or a super high end hotel. Adults only makes it great for a couples getaway. You are also in a little neighborhood which is walkable vs an isolated resort.

Erika and Ale at the front desk offered a welcome full of warmth, grace, and effortless professionalism that immediately made one feel welcome. Beto's gracious presence as go-to for valet parking. Sergio, the pontoon operator, conveyed the patience and confidence of a protector of the sacred. And Erik, server at the beach and cabana, elevated every meal and every sun-drenched hour with attentiveness and smiles. El Ganzo promises art, culture, and self-fulfillment. We loved the rooftop pool and the beach club vibe . We could even see humpback whales swimming by and breaching out at sea. Highly recommend this hotel for some sun and relaxation.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt elevated and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with great ingredients and care. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. The drinks were another highlight. They were incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and perfect for a beach day. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the service. It’s honestly on another level compared to any other beach club in Los Cabos. The team is attentive, friendly, and genuinely focused on making sure you have a great time. A special shout-out to Alfonso, the supervisor, who truly takes the experience to the next level. His attention to detail and warm hospitality make the whole visit feel special. He made sure everything ran perfectly and that we felt taken care of from start to finish. The only tiny downside was that the wind picked up a bit in the afternoon—but that’s just nature doing its thing in Baja and honestly part of the charm of being right by the ocean. If you're visiting Los Cabos and want an unforgettable beach club experience with fantastic food, refreshing drinks, and outstanding service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended.

- coopcarc (10/5): Monserrat for the WIN/Great Stay! - I had an amazing 4 day stay here with my fiancé the week following Valentines day. The weather was perfect with numerous occasions of spotting whales breaching and spouting throughout. The staff was top notch especially pool side. We had Monserrat (Monse) taking very good care of us each day feeding us amazing drinks (the spicey Margaritas is a specialty) as well as just making us feel at home, talking to us about the resort and where to go. She made our stay so much better. The view and rooms were excellent and very easy and affordable to get around. We learned last day of the few restaurants within walking distance if you tire of the hotel's limited menu. We will definitely be back and we hope to see Monse there waiting with her spicy margaritas!

The beach club and the rooftop bar with the DJ were a delight. The store had such unique items - I got some jewelry and a purse I’ll wear with the fondest memories. :)

The view was amazing and with all the sea life present on the daily… never a bad show. Sea lions, pelicans and the whales all showed off. It did not disappoint. If you’re looking for great service, you will find it. A young lady whose name is Montserrat, she works at the pool. The most attentive, professional warm hearted young lady there. If I were to give 10 out of 10 stars, she gets 20. Highly recommend this Hotel and make sure you give Montserret a hug or a high five for being awesome and amazing.

This is our goto Mexico getaway. Over the years there have been tremendous changes and lots of new hotels and resorts. The Hotel El Ganzo is still our #1 choice for perfect relaxation. Located right on the thriving yacht marina with a private beach, rooftop top pool, world class spa and exceptional dining. Take it from people that travel a lot, the El Ganzo is the gem you don’t want to miss!

- mangosong (10/5): Best boutique hotel in Cabo - We were attending a wedding at the JW, but I had previously heard of El Ganzo, and prefer boutique hotels, so we decided to stay there. We enjoyed our stay here very much. I loved the decor, the hotel seemed well taken care of. The water jugs in the rooms were incredibly thoughtful considering you can't usually use tap water in mexico to brush your teeth. Our room was perfect. We could hear the sea lions in the mornings (but frustrating because we couldn't see them!) We were able to see a whale or two and flying sting rays from our room! The housekeeping staff was incredible and made sure we were well taken care of. Extra towels, anything we needed. I do think the actives do need to displayed a little more prominently as we didn't know about them until after we came back from dinner. The only real complaint I have was the service for breakfast was a little inconsistent. Our breakfast was included in our room, and some days we received the fruit platter (which was amazing), and some days we didn't. Some days our server was just MIA, some days they were very present. Sometimes I would have to flag someone down for things like milk and sugar, or a knife. The quiet pool was very serene and peaceful. It wasn't heated, but it was nice to sit by. The rooftop pool hot area was fantastic. The pool is not heated, so a little cool, so I mostly sat in the hot tub, which was amazing. The bar tenders are fabulous, the food at the pool bar was also really good. We meant to get over to the beach club and just never made it. We'll have to go next time. We will be back next year, and are bringing friends with us.

But if you are looking for a boutique hotel with amazing service and all the nicest amenities tucked away from the tourist areas, this is your place. I come here at least once a year for a week to revive my soul. All of the staff attends to every detail. Checking in is a delight. The rooftop pool has a great vibe, good food, drinks and fabulous service. The beach club is equally as wonderful. Saltycabo offers different boating options right from the marina. Not the least expensive place in Cabo, but definitely worth the price.

It's close to all the Centro/farm restaurants but provides swimmable beach access and the most beautiful rooftop sunset views over the marina and mountains. It's also walking distance to a few coffee shops and restaurants and offers free parking. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they go out of their way to make it a good stay. We loved the live music and will definitely keep an eye on their events calendar for another trip!

The Wellness: My mornings were defined by the fresh air of the Marina during my daily runs, followed by an incredible rooftop yoga session with Citlally. The setup on the roof is one-of-a-kind, featuring an endless pool and a DJ booth that sets the perfect vibe for the day. The Food & Beach: The Beach Club is a short, scenic trip away. It’s cozy, well-facilitated, and the water is actually swimmable (a rarity in Cabo!). Do not miss the food—the menu by Chef Jose Luis Hinostroza is absolutely world-class. The Soul of the Hotel: What makes this place truly unique is its commitment to the arts. We had the chance to visit the 'underground' recording studio in the basement. Seeing where musicians (both famous and emerging) come to work was a highlight of the trip. Between the live music at El Restaurante and the high-level DJ lineups at the nearby Crania, the curated soundtrack of this hotel is flawless. Pro Tip: Every corner is a work of art—keep your camera ready for the murals! I’m already planning my return to play the Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus courses at Puerto Los Cabos nearby.

The previous general manager was gracious to comp us one night if we’d return to give them another chance. We arrived with no chips on our shoulders and a positive attitude to enjoy everything El Ganzo has to offer. We booked for three nights and then upgraded to a Master Suite. Very nice large room with a great view. Unfortunately, the first night a loud music was heard very loudly in our suite. Husband walked down to front desk after 11:30 and was told “oh well, here’s some ear plugs. So please be aware of loud noises. Especially if you stay in a master suite at the very end of the property. We were also very surprised to find a 15% service charge is now added to EVERY food and drink charge. We also noticed the overall customer service has gone down. We’d been staying at Hyatt Ziva and there’s no comparison. Staff would walk with their eyes on their phones texting without looking up at all. No courtesy hellos or any “how can we help”. Very disappointing. Lastly, the chaos go get a large van upon departure was almost funny.

Greeted with friendly faces and a delicious welcome drink, immediate help and recommendations from the staff for dinner and activities, and an incredible experience throughout. The rooftop pool staff, specifically Montserrat and Fernando, are SO great! They got to know us, memorized our drink order, and regularly checked on us without being overbearing. Extremely friendly and smiley all the time. Breakfast food at the hotel was incredible, especially the banana peanut French toast. The beach club across the water offers delicious lunch, great views, and access to the beach. If you’re looking for a quality, relaxing, luxurious vacation spot, this is it. 100/10 recommend, and planning to return!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and provides just the right atmosphere for a relaxing, yet still lively vacation. Monsterrat and Fernando were both amazing at the rooftop pool and all the other staff members we encountered were also very helpful.
- N4798EHscotts (10/5): A secluded fishing and artistic retreat - My dad and I visited the hotel the second week of November. We have been coming to the area for almost fifteen years, and have stayed at many hotels and fished out of the marina. Over the last few years, my dad stayed at the Hotel Ganzo with my cousin, and uncle, and my mom for their anniversary. This was my first time at the hotel, and I was blown away by the incredible food and serene beach. The head chef here has an incredible track record in the culinary world! The service is always spectacular. The Wednesday night flamenco show featured awesomely talented performers, and was really captivating. The room is clean and comfortable, and was turned down daily. For fishing, the $15 lunch boxes and free morning coffee are very good, and are always ready to grab on the way to the marina. It is a one block walk to your boat. My very few complaints are that while the beers are well priced, the cocktails are very expensive, and they don’t have a happy hour like the hotel across the street does. Also, on our last day we woke up an hour and a half later to find that at 6:30am they take away the free black coffee for the fishermen and charge $4 for a cup. It’s a small thing, but it felt like getting nickle-and-dime(d).

The hotel has such a cool, artsy vibe with creative touches everywhere, great music, and a rooftop that’s as fun as it is beautiful. The staff truly made our stay memorable. Montserrat at the rooftop was so attentive and kind, always making sure everything was perfect each time we were up there. And Aaron at the Beach Club went above and beyond for our entire group. He made us feel like VIPs the whole time, always checking in with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed. Everyone in our group absolutely loved him! Between the unique atmosphere, great food, and top notch service, El Ganzo is easily one of our favorite spots in Cabo. Can’t wait to come back!

- morganj692 (10/5): An absolutely incredible stay - It’s been almost a week since we got back from our trip, and we’re still thinking about how amazing our stay was at El Ganzo. This hotel has such a cool, artsy vibe. The design throughout is really unique and unlike anywhere else we've stayed. The food and drinks at all three restaurant options were excellent. And our Terrace King room was perfect. We spent many evenings on the terrace, just sitting in the chairs and taking in the ambiance and view of the water. What really made the trip unforgettable, though, was the staff. Every staff member we interacted with made us feel welcome and cared for. I can't say enough good things about the front desk team, especially Alberto and Manuel (and a few others whose names I, unfortunately, can’t recall). They were always ready to help with anything we needed. One day that particularly stands out was when my husband came down with a stomach bug. They directed me to nearby pharmacies to get medicine. Later that day, I messaged them on WhatsApp to ask if the kitchen might be able to make him a broth, since he was unable to keep down solid food. They checked and actually came back with two different options for him to choose from, even though neither was on the menu. They even offered to help arrange medical assistance if we needed it. Thankfully, we didn't, but their consideration made a difference when he wasn’t feeling well. Our entire stay was filled with these kinds of thoughtful touches. Housekeeping not only took great care of our room, but also left little treats for us each day. And on my birthday, I returned that evening to find a piece of cake and a sweet handwritten card in our room. It made the day even more special. Our favorite spot at the hotel was the rooftop pool. We actually ended up spending much more time there (and at the hotel in general) than I’d originally anticipated because it was just so relaxing. The views were gorgeous and calming. And again, the staff there was great, especially Montserrat, who had such an effortlessly cool presence and was always so attentive and personable. The whole team constantly came by to check if we needed food or drinks, helped adjust our umbrella to keep us in the shade, and really seemed to anticipate our needs before we even asked. The whole trip felt like a reset for my nervous system. I was sad to leave. The only negatives of our stay are fairly minor: (1) the outdoor daybed on our terrace picked up some debris overnight, so it might be helpful to provide a cover or towel to put over it. (2) When I initially booked on the hotel website, I didn't get a confirmation email and was worried that my reservation might not have gone through. I tried emailing an address listed on their website about this, but it turned out to be outdated (reservas@elganzo.com instead of the current reservations@elganzo.com). Once I called, everything was resolved, but it would be great if the website were updated, and confirmation emails were sent automatically. These are small details, though. Hotel El Ganzo delivered exactly the kind of getaway we needed. We're already talking about when we can come back.

We all don’t get time off to travel often and choose this hotel carefully. We were very pumped. The food and drinks: Amazing. Their fish tacos and fries on the rooftop are incredible. How do you make your fries like that?! We are determined to make at home because it was the groups favorite thing. I think I got the fish tacos and fries every day. Their fresh fruit purées/juice are such a game changer for the drinks. As a former bartender myself, I know how that is extra time and effort but truly makes a difference. The breakfast was solid every morning. Loved the chilaquiles. And my friends were obsessed with their green juice! The staff: HUGE massive shout out to the rooftop pool staff. We are a fun, loud group of people who were ready to have fun and they all were so nice to us and truly were the main reason we had such a good stay. Special shout out to Alan and Montsi (sorry if don’t spell right!) We felt like they were a part of our group and definitely went above and beyond! Uriel was also fabulous. They all were. We were truly sad to leave! Beach access: It was really nice they had a beach we could also go to. There’s a boat that leaves the dock every few minutes to take you to the beach club. The water was beautiful and it was a nice break from the pool. Over all the stay was amazing. There were a few hiccups but the GM eventually made it right. And we will be recommending this hotel to friends and family. Maybe we will be back another time. Gracias Hotel Ganzo! Haven’t gone on vacation in years and your hotel truly was worth the wait.

You can spend hours walking through the resort’s art exhibits. I have never used so much space in one place of photo’s. From the countless art exhibits to the artistic furnishings. In minutes of being in this space I had the feels! Staff is perfect in every way!! Rooftop staff so attentive Alan literally thought of my needs before I did :) All food was amazing. Grounds had the most beautiful zen gardens. I cannot eloquently describe how amazing this place is. You will have to see it for yourself.

Things you should be aware of are: the food was only OK and very expensive, the drinks were expensive, the hotel puts a large hold on your credit card for potential damages you make to your room and look at all of your receipts to make sure that only your food and drink charges are placed on your room. Space if you want a good Ross breakfast for a reasonable price, go across the street to George’s restaurant.

The beds are comfy & clean, the view of the local marina is serene, the room is quiet but the restaurant lively with local entertainment, the hotel is filled with eclectic art and interesting people, the beach club is easy to access, the staff is welcoming, kind. All our needs were met plus more. We will surely be back!
- Maren (10/5): - My husband & I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Hotel el Ganzo & had an absolutely fabulous stay! Lovely staff & atmosphere. The vibes of the hotel were top tier. I would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of life!
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional service in a peaceful, inspiring sett - Absolutely amazing service at this wonderful hotel! Every single staff member I encountered during my week at El Ganzo was incredibly kind, patient, helpful, and cheerful! I've stayed at hundreds of hotels over the years; I've never experienced such gentle and genuine hospitality and professionalism. The original art throughout the hotel is inspiring, as are the amazing views. I was so happy that there were many quiet spots to relax. And I loved watching the fishermen get ready to head out for the day from my terrace. I hope to return to El Ganzo and will encourage others to visit as well!

- DDiegoVW (6/5): OK but overpriced - The room and bed were comfortable, but the food was very average. I wanted to go to the sauna (spa), and in lobby they told me it closes at 5pm. I arrive at 4pm and the person at the spa told me it closes at 4:30pm. Then on the TV room it said it closes at 6pm.
- 2shaina (10/5): Roof top pool day pass was perfect! - We did a day pass for the roof top pool. I LOVE the views up there! The pass includes a generous food and beverage credit so you can really hang out all day and enjoy. The food and drinks are delicious, too. Alan and Jasmine were our servers and really, really kind, helpful, attentive, and made our experience so much better. It got a little cold and windy while were up there and the umbrellas have to go down in the wind so be prepared with your own sun protection and/or a jacket!

Incredible views of ocean. We also enjoyed the private beach club. You can walk to several local restaurants. Rooms were always cleaned.

- gyemsaxisclosed (10/5): Fantastic stay! Will be back! - AMAZING! We came on a day pass and loved the vibe so much, we checked out of our other hotel to stay. It was our first choice anyway so we didn’t mind the loss (long story but worth the move). The pool was neat (too many phones in the pool if you ask me (you know, pool shots for IG) but great staff. Alan was great. Our preferred hangout was the beach. Note: the beach is public so NOT adults only. If you want true adults only, the rooftop pool or quiet pool are your options. I wish I could remember the names of the staff at the Beach Club. They were all amazing so whoever was working from June 7-11, thank you so much! PS, On a map, it looks like you could walk to il centro. But you can’t. Way too far. But Uber is cheap and they’re everywhere. Just note, “comfort” here is not the same as what you’d expect in Canada or US. Overall, amazing service, beautiful rooms, great food (the GUAC!), the vibe. We’ll be back!
