- 971tracye (10/5): Beautiful & Safe Hyatt! A++ - The location was right off the freeway and walkable for nearby restaurants. The property is gated and pristine! Clean outside and in, with friendly staff who spoke English. The breakfast is phenomenal and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and most importantly, quiet. Parking is free and convenient. We will stay here again next time we visit San Jose.

I will say this: if you are looking for a cheap stay after flying in DO NOT BOOK HERE. It took us 2+ hours to go 10 miles in San Jose traffic. If you’re staying in San Jose, definitely stay here. If you’re looking to regroup after a flight, pick a closer spot.

The only negative point, in my particular case, was the noise coming from the highway. However, I believe this may not be an issue in other rooms.
- 783przemyslawz (8/5): Hayatt Place - Hotel is in good location, easy access to town. Rooms are spacious, had two double beds for myself. It's clean and tidy. Food was great. Staff was brilliant, friendly and helpful, really pleasant experience.

The free breakfast was excellent and had a great selection of freshly prepared hot dishes along with the standard breads, pastries, yogurt, fruits etc.

Breakfast is fantastic, especially the omletes made to order. Appreciated the early check in and late check out. Staff always willing to help in any way.

They’re very attentive and courteous actually preempting any request you may have. Special mention goes to the restaurant staff where they exceed in friendliness. Special shout out to Salvador, Carlos and Wilfredo. People make the business and these three are a huge part of the success of this hotel.

- Paul (2/5): - Never stayed there. In making my reservations, Hotels.com interchanges hotels from San Jose Costa Rica and San Jose California. So when you’re looking for the best price, you may not realize you booked a hotel in a foreign country. So when I asked for a refund, they refused, even though I had booked another room in San Jose California, using their platform, after I realized the mistake. What a terrible customer service position to take. Will now have to cancel payment with my CC company because Hotels.com refuses to do the right thing!
- Steph2310 (6/5): Nothing special - Ah well it’s a Hyatt place. Lobby Being renovated so it’s a mess now. Overall experience is average. Rooms smell of stale air. Can’t open the window. A/C makes more noise than a plane taking off. A big plus: the breakfast is good for that hotel standard. Staff is pleasant. Not great. Well located as there are plenty of good restaurants around.
- JSo82 (2/5): MOLD, high humidity and non-functioning air conditioning - Severe humidity issues in the 4 rooms we stayed in. Air conditioning does not function correctly. Humidity damage apparent in our rooms, peeling paint. musty smells. Stay away if allergic or sensitive to mold. We had to change hotels due to the unhealthy conditions.

- LizLo (8/5): High quality stay - Comfortable stay, good meals in restaurant. We were disappointed that the restaurant did not have any red wine for our dinner! The only other issue was the confusion around parking. We were told to download an app which was not working correctly. We wasted a lot of time trying to clear it up, and ultimately the parking guard just waved us through.

I was surprised that the staff knew it was my birthday and had a small cake and card waiting for me in my room...they really did go above and beyond the call of duty.

The room was clean and comfy, the restaurant food was tasty and well priced, and the staff were very pleasant and professional. There was nothing about this hotel we didn't like. Various staff members, especially Caesar and Marilyn, kindly spoke Spanish to me as I practiced learning the language. This made my day:)

- chancelperry (10/5): Definitely stay here! - Had a very good stay at the Hyatt San Jose. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very nice and accommodating, and the breakfast was huge compared to other hotels that offer a buffet. Parking was free. Would definitely recommend staying here.

- XXX (8/5): - No heat. Had to use two blankets at night. Front entrance had no signs telling you where the lobby was or where to go next. Climbed two flights of stairs to find another empty lobby area With no directions, And then found the front desk through the next set of doors. Other then that the staff was friendly and helpful. Walmart was just across the highway, about 150 yards away which made it easy to pick up things you forgot or needed. Thanks

There were quite a few excellent restaurant options in the plaza area. Parking was free, safe and easy. The hotel was close to the highway and the staff was fluent in english

- Leonard (8/5): - The facility is next to a small mall and across from Walmart so it is really easy for family to get a bite or just coffee (Starbucks is 5-7 min walk). The nearby traffic is busy so you will experience wait for able to merge tot he circle. The facility is good and clean. In room Wifi (to our room number) didn't work but the lobby WiFi works everywhere. The connection is not friendly to VPN as it slows down a lot. I thought the hotel is only 25KM (or 16 Mi) away from airport with HWY so should be 20-25 min but it took 1 hour to get there (traffic jam is crazy with people walking on the side). So plan your time accordingly. It's a good hotel for business or family and I would recommend or come back again.

- hector (10/5): - The day we checked in they told us that there was no reservation even though I show them my Expedia receipt. Expedia costumer service had to get involved because they did not wanted to honor the reservation that was already paid for through Expedia. It took a while between Expedia costumer service and the hotel back and forth but finally they were able to fix the issue. Other than that we had a good time there. Good location, easy access for the surrounding areas. Awesome breakfast as well.

It was not the right choice for me if I knew the location.
