- Niklas (10/5): Schönes Hotel direkt gegenüber der Bergbahn - Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder! Frischer Orangensaft beim Frühstück und eine große Auswahl, top! Wellness sehr schön, hervorzuheben ist die angenehm warme Wassertemperatur in allen Becken… Zimmer etwas älter und mit Teppichböden, hier könnte man eventuell etwas erneuern, ist aber nicht weiter schlimm.

Erlebte so etwas noch nie. Der Teppich sicherlich schon Jahrzehnte alt Das Frühstück ist mangelhaft. Das Personal ist sehr passiv. Die Angestellten an der Rezeption sind sehr schlecht ausgebildet, und sprechen kein Deutsch. Der Übernachtungspreis ist keineswegs gerechtfertigt.
- Joseph (6/5): Some Good Some Bad - Hotel National is a nice hotel, with authentic Swiss elements, but there are multiple reasons that we would not return. First, there are better options at a lower price point (we stayed in one earlier in the week). Second, depending on where your room is located, the sounds of the train can be a nuisance. Finally, there were very limited dinner options as part of the half board package that are not conducive to the varying tastes of individual family members. The front staff were very nice and helpful, but in our experience there were simply not enough positives to justify the expense.

Otherwise the room was adequate. Breakfast was OK. The omelets were fresh made but the crepes seemed pre-made. On our last day, we didn't have hot water.

Med hems - to senger og eget bad til barna, ble det en super uke å være 4 pers. på et rom. Utrolig bra service, flott spa og helt nyoppusset rom. Og suveren beliggenhet, rett ved Sunnegga heisen. Vi kommer gjerne igjen:)

Hearty breakfast, ski storage and boot warmers in basement and fantastic spa (whirlpool and sauna) were perfect complement for skiing. Staff was very welcoming and gave us lots of advice on skiing and rentals. Room was spacious and balcony overlooking the Matterhorn was icing on the cake!!

The hotel is just steps away from a good ski rental shop (20% discount for hotel guests) and the Sunegga funicular.

The best parts were the phenomenal staff, the spacious rooms with beautiful Matterhorn views and lovely balconies, and the breakfast. One cool thing is that our friends were staying next door and we were able to join our balconies and enjoy the view together. We really enjoyed our stay!! The only bummer was that the pool was broken - it had sounded great after a chilly walk in town.

His staff was so professional and personal. How many people get excited to spend time with the hotel general manager? We did, we loved this place. The spa was awesome and just what we needed after our ski days!

- Paula (10/5): Heaven in Zermatt - Absolute perfection. I arrived exhausted and with terrible neck pain. I had JUST made the reservation, so my room needed to be prepared. I was offered a seat anywhere I wanted (lobby,bar, terrace, restaurant) and promptly served a complementary beverage with a trio of olives, peanuts, and chips. I was escorted to my room where I discovered a balcony with a view of the Matterhorn right in front of me. A decanter had been filled with fresh cold water for me! I went to the pool and found the most heavenly oasis. Soft lights, natural water without a bleach smell. A projector overhead provided a wall of peaceful images of sea life, butterflies, bubbles.. All in soft off white colors. I never wanted to leave! Breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous and included American favorites such as crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. Real eggs, not that powdery stuff! I could go on and on. Stop reading and just book this hotel. I'm very glad that's what I did!
