- joshgP3474GV (10/5): 10 out of 10 would recommend! - I recently took a 12 day trip to Sapphire beach. I traveled with my wife and kids and I must rave about the staff! All the members of the staff were truly amazing and very accommodating especially WiFi! He went out of his way on a day after work to take me out fishing in a kayak! What an amazing experience!!! The location was absolutely beautiful! The crew works very hard to keep the resort clean! It was very peaceful and never too loud.

- 549beccav (8/5): A long (bumpy) road to paradise. - This was a fantastic resort with helpful and friendly staff. A little bit off the beaten path with a long ride on a bumpy road! Which isn’t too bad once you sink into the quiet relaxing spaces - pools, including an adult only pool, beach front views, and wonderful dining options on site and near by.

- Veronica (9/5): Too far, not worth it - The staff are probably the best part of this place. It does have a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. The palm trees all around the area give it a very tropical feel and looks beautiful. If it wasn't for Eddie going above and beyond for us, I probably would've rated this much lower. He was truly exceptional and so thankful for all his help. The A/C in the living room did not cool enough so we had to keep the one in the room fully running at all times to make up for the living room, otherwise it got too warm. The cealing fan handle was so high up with no string and impossible to reach. The area fan provided did not even work which we needed since the living room A/C was not cooling enough. The microwave also did not work so we were unable to warm up leftovers there. Thankfully the stove did work though. Unfortunately, the location of the property was also extremely inconvenient and far from everything. It took us about 45 minutes just getting there from the ferry or "water taxi" as they call it which you must take if you are coming from Belize City. You cannot go to a store or any other restaurants because they are too far. Be prepared to either take a taxi, rent a car or rent a golf cart and you will spend some time driving to get anywhere. If I had known this, I wouldn't have booked here. As if that all wasn't enough, we couldn't even go to the beach or get in the water because there was a massive wall of seaweed. I'm not even exaggerating. That was the whole point of staying by the beach is to enjoy the water and we couldn't even do that. Its very sad because the property itself is beautiful, but I would not stay here again.

The staff were incredible—so friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. They truly made our vacation special. The beach was beautiful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The location was also ideal—about 40 minutes from town—so it was nice and quiet, which made it even more enjoyable for a laid-back vacation. Our apartment unit was fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay. It felt comfortable and convenient, and we really appreciated having all the essentials available. There were also small grocery stores within walking distance, which made it easy to grab anything we needed without having to travel far. A special shout-out to one employee, Wifi who was absolutely wonderful. He was incredibly kind, always had a smile, and went out of his way to help us—especially when it came to arranging fishing. His helpfulness and positive attitude really stood out and made our experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would most definitely go there again!

- Jackus1965 (10/5): Great Resort - This was our first visit to Sapphire Beach Resort. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a warm smile from Eddie at the front desk. He then took us for a walk through the resort and explained all the . amenities. All the rooms have great views either of the ocean or the three pools on the property. The property was well kept by all the maintenance workers who work so hard every day to keep the place clean. The room we stayed in was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Everyone on the resort treats you like Family. There was one worker in maintenance named Wifi that went over and above to make your stay enjoyable. He would take you out fishing bring you fresh coconuts, and sugar cane and always had a smile in his face. This young man worked so hard everyday so our beach was clean. We has such a great experience that we will be back next year. Thank you to all the stuff that made our month visit enjoyable.
- 722theresao (10/5): Wonderful resort and people - We just returned from a 28 night stay at Saphire Beach Resort. Overall we were very happy with the resort. We stayed in a one bedroom, ground floor,pool view suite. The room was very well equipped for a long, self catering stay. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioners worked great. We really liked that we were just a few steps from both the pools and the beach. The beach is truly gorgeous but the water was very murky the whole time we were there. It was a 30 minute, very scenic golf cart ride north to Tranquility Bay where the water was very nice and the snorkeling was decent. The resort grounds and pools were beautiful and well maintained by their very friendly landscaping staff. We appreciated having a good restaurant and bar on site. There were many good restaurants just a short golf cart ride away. We really enjoyed the good fishing off the dock and the great fishing out of the kayaks. Come to the island prepared for the no-see-ums as they can be ferocious. A special shout out to Wi Fi for getting us set up for fishing. He was always smiling and helping everyone with whatever they needed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. If we go back to Ambergris Caye we would definitely stay at this resort.
- Seaside606659 (6/5): People and services amazing!!! Infrastructure, food and trash all over the island were disgusting! - The water and vews were amazing! Even though the property is only eight miles from the main town, it takes around one hour to get there. The roads are in horrible condition and you must rent a golf cart to get there! Groceries are extremely expensive and expired! On the other hand, the workers in the resort were amazing. Number one happy guy WILFRIDO! He is always so happy and willing to help. Wilbert, the bartender at the pools was also incredible! I enjoy the stay put want to warn people about the sand flies and trash everywhere! The only clean area was by the resort because Wilfrido and his coworkers keep it so clean!
- ElizabethM6375 (10/5): Another great stay at Sapphire Beach!! - This was our second visit to Ambergris Caye and second time at Sapphire Beach Resort. We had such a great experience with welcoming staff the first time, it was a no brainer to choose anywhere else. It is far from town, a 40 minute airport car transfer or 60 minute golf cart ride but worth it to be closer to the reef and further from the crowds. Eddie in hospitality is very friendly, was invaluable with helping us set up our accommodations, arranging transport and setting up tours. We were thrilled to find “WiFi” Wilfredo still working there, both of our trips he has been very welcoming with his infectious smile, he shared his love of the island with us, he went every mile to make sure our stay was comfortable with helping us get our kayaks situated, cutting down fresh coconuts for our kids to drink from and even had us try sugar cane! He also gave us some tips on fishing including good kayak spots. Eric takes great care with the landscaping and fun to talk to, Will is such a friendly and welcoming bartender and Silvino keeps the perimeter safe and welcomes you back from your daily travels. Sad to leave but excited to return. Thanks for another great vacation!!
- doremit987 (10/5): Spectacular Resort perfect to get away !!!! - The location is a little bit far away from the main city but worth it. All employees are amazing, incredible atmosphere, clean room and around the resort. Indescriptible birds and ocean sound. Great activities to enjoy outdoors like paddle board, kayak, snorkeling, etc. We really had an unforgettable time.
- Emanuel (7/5): Serene Getaway - I liked location away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. Accommodations were perfect for me and my friend traveling - 2bedroom with unsuited bathrooms with sea views. Falling asleep with the sound of the sea was delicious.. The beach is not really swimmable and it trashy outside of the resort area. This has to do with the trash issues in central America more than the accommodations. But if you are looking for pristine beach conditions you will have to head to Secret Beach about 40.minute golf cart ride away.

Far enough away from everything to be really peaceful. The weather had the adult pool shut down and even though the beach was right outside I couldn't enjoy it. Nothing anyone coudo about that though
- Laura (6/5): It was a good choice for a random visit but much to far from the city - Staff were great and the food was amazing! The beds were uncomfortable and our shower barely worked. We were also a little surprised by all the bugs and critters.
- Andrei (10/5): Fazit: für uns in Belize der beste Aufenthalt - wir würden definitiv wieder herkommen. - Die Ferienwohnungen werden durch das Ressort vermietet, gehören (soweit wir es mitbekommen haben) aber den Eigentümer, die diese auch verschieden gestalten. Unsere Wohnung 18B war liebevoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns ab dem ersten Tag heimisch gefühlt. Alle Mitarbeiter des Ressorts waren super freundlich und haben uns jederzeit versucht zu helfen und unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Nachts gab es einen Wachmann, der regelmäßig seine Runden drehte und äußerst wachsam war. Die Poolanlagen (insgesamt 3) waren sauber und es hat uns echt Spaß gemacht uns darin abzukühlen. Spiele, Kayaks und weitere Sachen gab es kostenlos an der Rezeption. Einziger Nachteil, (ohne dass das Resort was dafür kann) war die Straße in den Norden (das Hotel ist etwa 40 Fahrminuten von San Pedro entfernt), die zu dieser Jahreszeit noch nicht aufgeschüttet wurde. Zur Hauptsaison wohl nicht so ein Problem.

Restaurant hat vor 18:00 Uhr schon geschlossen, obwohl die Öffnungszeiten laut Rezeption bis 21:00 wären. Aufgrund der Lage war dies für uns sehr negativ, da keine andere Möglichkeit etwas zu essen in Fußnähe ist.

The location was just so far away from the main strip of San Pedro/city, and taxi fare was $100-$200 USD depending on the time of day. The resort was beautiful besides the Sargasso sea weed (almost all the resorts had this problem) which made the beach front smelly and inaccessible to our small children.

Nestled on a private stretch of Caribbean beachfront and offering three lovely pools, it’s the perfect spot to truly unwind Silvino at security greeted everyone with warmth and made checking in feel like arriving home. Eiden, the concierge, was a magician—setting up every activity flawlessly and always ready with great tips. Eric, who cares for the resort’s lush gardens, keeps the landscaping immaculate—walking through feels like wandering in a tropical paradise. And Josh, our coconut server—nothing beats sipping fresh coconut by the pool while the ocean breeze rolls in. The ambiance is wonderfully tranquil and serene—a place you can truly escape the world. - T9462ZFdustinw (4/5): LOW BUDGET RESORT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE - We stayed in unit #11 with our family of four. First of all, don't let a agent or the property fool you about how far this place is from San Pedro. 10 miles doesn't sound far but on a golf cart and a rough gravel road, it's a long ways. The beach was not accessible due to seaweed and the resort made not attempt to clean it up. The restaurant and bar do not keep consistent hours, they would close early or not even open up. We had to ask numerous time for wash clothes and hand towels. The cooking utensils were horrible and old. The water pressure in the master bedroom was a trickle. Both safes were locked in the rooms and could not be accessed. We requested for them to be opened and was told they would have to be replaced. They finally replaced the safes on day 5 of our 6 day stay. Please don't let the pictures fool you, this is a low budget "RESORT". Spend the money and stay in town or somewhere other than this place.

- Amparo (1/5): 100 USD fine for losing my room key??' C'mon!!! - It's an OK place, too far from town, with beaches full of sargasso where you can not swim. The restaurant is fine and service is good. But dont you ever, ever lose your room key (one of those very simple keys that cost 5 USD in any country), because you will be charged 100 USD. My friend dropped it in the sea (along with her cell phone and several other personal items) and we were forced to pay 100 USD, although they admitted to having 2 extra keys, for cleaners. Because of that, and because of he guy at reception that was less empathetic than a stone I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. IT WAS THE ONLY BAD THING ABOUT BELIZE. Shame. Beautiful country and beautiful people though.

Eric, wifi and all the ground staff were excellent and had good customer service. The other crew from Stephanie and Samantha were excellent also. I also had some work done to the condo and Josh who did the work was excellent. Eiden who is in charge of the resort also did an amazing job to coordinate and organize everything! Also one of the grounds crew WiFi that’s what they call him goes the extra mile always. Sapphire Beach is a great place to stay ‼️
- 269dono (10/5): Sapphire beach ambergris. - We had an awesome time. Safe ,clean, friendly people especially one particular employee Wilfredo Chan . I arrived with no fishing gear and he lent me a pole all rigged up for a 2 week stay at no cost . Every day he would go out to the dock and cast net bait fish and give it to anyone who needed it. After he was off duty. If you wanted a coconut he would get you a fresh coconut from the tree and open it for you just because he is such a nice person. He made the stay very special for us and all the guests. I would give him 10 stars if I could . Thank you Wi-Fi . For making this trip a fantastic experience. We’ll be back in the fall. Don Ozbun.
- W7182VQterrir (10/5): Best Resort in Belize - My daughter and I just got back from the Sapphire Resort yesterday. We had a wonderful & peaceful stay (no thumping music - totally quiet)! Even though the resort is a hard 10 mile golf cart drive North of town, we enjoyed our daily drives where we even picked up 2 elementary students one morning and dropped them at school - that is HOW SAFE this island truly is. While going into town, we meandered onto various resorts and were always welcomed to look around. At the Sapphire, Wifi made our trip a resounding success. Each day after work, you can find Wifi on the dock catching fish for dinner. Wifi shared his poles and fresh caught sardines we watched him net. On our last night, Wifi and Erik took us out in resort canoes where we caught all the Snapper we could eat for dinner that night (they cooked them and brought them to our room!). The Sapphire is a beautifully landscaped and nestled boutique resort that is clean and has all amenities needed for cooking. Be sure to grab all the groceries you will need as you drive from San Pedro (there are 2 small groceries located about 1/2 mile from the resort & many just a little north of the town bridge). We ate resort tacos on arrival day and they were delicious! Seaweed was bad this trip so we need to plan another trip when the sargassum is gone.

Bar was great when it was open; Wilbur and Edwin were great. Pools and property were clean and meticulously maintained. Loved our single poolside room. The kitchen was well appointed and very clean. It was high sorgrass season on the beach and you’d need a bulldozer to deal with that stuff properly. Definitely rent a cart in town on your way in so you can visit some other beaches. Fishing off the dock was great. We took advantage of the bikes and kayaks on site. Staff were awesome, friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience. The beaches in the immediate vicinity north and south were covered in trash - definitely not the resorts fault, but someone should deal with it. The Saturday BBQ is not to be missed! - X323PFrebeccab (8/5): Sapphire was excellent! - Great place to stay overall. The condo itself was really nice one bedroom with full kitchen. Its pretty, well designed and has everything you need. Only basic salt and pepper for cooking and some garlic salt though so bring spices in your checked luggage if you have favorites. Do your homework on grocery stores on the island before you arrive at the condo so you feel well supplied when you arrive! The pools are really nice but felt like there could have been more deck chairs. The beach area is soooooo beautiful and well cared for, the grounds were so beautiful! Landscaping crew always hard at work! Really enjoyed lounging and reading at the beach, hot days but cool breezes forever. Swam in the area by the dock, 4-5 ft deep and a seaweedish bottom so if that bothers you bring some water shoes. We brought fishing poles and husband fished off the dock, with the help of the outstanding fisherman WIFI to help him out! The staff were nice, helpful and always available. Check out the lil grocery down the street if you get a craving for an ice cream, snacks or any basics, Bonitos! Took a bicycle there! Restaurant at Sapphire was decent, nice people there as well. Did not enjoy the pool bar, prob just us though. Will miss sitting on the beach there as well as our lovely patio at the condo. And Wifi!! San Pedro is fun but being a bit far away is the best for peace and tranquility.

He was so helpful and always met us in the parking lot to make sure we got in okay. If you are an animal lover, there are cats and dogs to keep you company. Friendly, but well behaved. Must have golf cart to get around, but the drive is exciting and you notice something new every time! Locals appreciate a drive to or from work if you have room. Very safe.

From booking you a snorkeling tour to catching you bait for fishing and getting you coconuts. The rooms are very comfortable as well. The road is a bit rough and a 40 minute drive to town. However, you get used to it and after all you are trying to get away. Special shout out to WiFi and Ms. Vicky for helping me catch fish off the dock and cooking them for me. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

- tomeT4864SL (8/5): Great Resort for Peace and Quiet - We stayed at the Sapphire from 1/28 to 2/8/25. It is 10 miles from town and the roads are rough. However, once you arrive you vs are in paradise. We stayed in a one bedroom beachfront suite. Literally 50 ft from the water. The resort is immaculate clean and all the staff are the friendliest people we have ever met on vacation. The seaweed and litter on the beach is a little annoying but they do their best to clean it up daily. They have 3 pools and an outdoor Tiki bar which are all great. They also have a on site restaurant (Gem) that has amazing food. There are a few restaurants nearby that are also very good. Chat n Chill and In D Wild. You can also rent a golf cart $55 per day and visit town and also go north to Tranquility Bay. Very beautiful there.

We rented a one-bedroom condo that was well equipped and free bottled water in a cooler. The smoke detector worked so well that we couldn’t make toast without it going off. So no cooking. There is no cable TV so internet streaming with poor access was infuriating, The beach is beautiful except that no one cleans the beach so you must walk through 10 feet of seaweed and garbage to swim or use their watercraft. I don’t know what the owners are paying HOA fees for. The pools are clean and great but the resort is just down the street from a gravel pit so from morning to night loud trucks grind by on weekdays. A noise fence would be great. Lastly, the resort is 10 miles north of San Pedro on a road so bad that a taxi takes more than 30 minutes to get to town and that taxi will cost $50 each way to get to town. A $100US to go shopping, a restaurant, Secret Beach, etc. is not much more than renting a golf cart for $75 a day! And don’t get me started on the “gringo pricing”in Supermarts! However, if you want to get away from the hustle and expense of San Pedro the Sapphire is great for long-term rentals
- Viola (8/5): Quiet remote stay on the island. - The property was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. The pools were lovely but a bit small. All music at the bar was off by 9 pm making for quiet peacefull nights. There were not enough loungers around the pools or at the beach area. The road to town was terrible, very bumpy and muddy. The mosquitos were very bad so be sure to apply bug spray as soon as you get there. The restaraunt menu was very limited so travel to other restaraunts was necessary.

Rocking chairs on porch to enjoy sea view. Nice trees to give shade and hang our hammock on. Staff was friendly. It's a long ride to town (45 minutes), but there are some interesting restaurants within 1/2 hour. We enjoyed the adventures with our golf cart, but if you don't plan, ahead for food. Nice shower and AC. This is an property with individual owners. There were lots of residents gathered and chatting about all the complaints they have with the place. There were some unfinished buildings. There was a lot of seaweed and garbage on the shoreline. I noticed them raking, but they left the seaweed and the garbage on the edge. The wifi access was very bad. We only had breakfast at the restaurant and found it uninteresting. If you have a golf cart, make sure you have gas, cause there is none in the north.

The one thing I would always remember how everyone made my visit so memorable this was the best birthday weekend. I will be back soon. There was not nothing to dislike about being in paradise. The location was perfect away from the crowds, the beach was not crowded. If you had to dislike anything about the resort is that I did not stay long enough.

- Jennifer (10/5): - We enjoyed our time at the property and I personally would live there at the property. :-) The only things that drove me crazy was the grime and rust around the sink and all the mosquitos in the area. Couldn't enjoy the pool because the bugs kept on biting. You are literally attacked by them as soon as you walk out the door. Couldn't swim at the beach because of the seaweed, but there were people attempting to clean it up but you cant control the sea. Also, the location of the property is located in Mexico Rock and about 45 minutes - 1 hour on a golf cart from the water taxi in san Pedro and depending on the weather conditions. Please take that into account when going. Secret beach is about 20-30 minutes by golf cart. Please purchase food in town before coming in as there are no markets and very limited food options in the area. Overall, I would recommend if you want something quiet, secluded, and away from the hustle of the city.

- Johanna (2/5): - The staff at this resort were very rude. And everything was about a money grab. I even had to remind the staff several times About the VIP package which included free breakfast . After having a disagreement with the front desk, employee, Lisandro, he then advised the Staff working at the dining restaurant to charge us for items that we previously were told we were included in the free breakfast package . He had the staff repeatedly come back and charges for different items after the disagreement . They claimed there was 24/7 available for assistance, but when we called for several different issues regarding our room, no one answered the phone until the next day around 10 AM. The air conditioner, and two out of three of the rooms were not working. We asked him to take a look at the toilet that would not flush, they sent a maintenance man who did not look and told us that it was fixed. We then had to ask him to go back and look at the bathroom, which then forced him to actually fix it. These people were rude and unprofessional, and I will not recommend this stay to anyone. They tried to charge my card without my permission/authorization for an activity that I told them I was not going to partaken and was simply considering it. No written contract, nothing was agreed-upon for this activity, and because they were upset that they could not make that money, they proceeded to charge my card, even after I told them no. As someone who travels quite frequently, this was not great

If you're looking for tranquility in the form of sitting on the beach with a book or simply watching the sunset on the dock this is the place. There's a great little restaurant and bar, three pools (one of which does not allow children) and the service is awesome. We'll continue to go back to Sapphire beach each time we visit Ambergris.

- 100vickies (10/5): Sapphire Beach Resort is a gem! - Sapphire Beach is a gem! It's a beautiful resort right on the beach. The staff is awesome and very responsive. They offer kayaks, canoes and bicycles for use at your leisure. There are 3 pools on the property which are all very nice. Unfortunately, there is no shade at any of the pools. There is a tiki hut between two of the pools for cocktails and refreshments. On Saturday evening they offer a limited menu BBQ dinner at the pool, which was fun. There is a restaurant on the property - open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - and the food was absolutely delicious! Would also suggest getting your booze at the Duty Free shop at the Belize airport before coming to San Pedro - it is much less expensive there! We took advantage of the airport shuttle offered by the resort (it's $100 US roundtrip for up to 5 people) and we were grateful for it! On the way from the airport we had the the shuttle stop at the grocery store in town for a supply stop - it was a lifesaver!! Would highly recommend a golf cart rental. The resort arranged for the cart for our stay, which was on the property when we arrived and was returned after we left. Its such a fun way to explore and learn about San Pedro and we put it to good use! All sites state the resort is 10 miles north of San Pedro Town - but note that it is about 40-45 minutes by golf cart. Secret Beach is about 35 minutes. Within a 15-20 minutes golf cart ride there are a number of bars and outdoor dining locations (both north and south) If you like a massage, take advantage of the spa! The resort arranged beach massages, which were absolutely faboulous! They suggest you bring bug spray (which we found to be ineffective) and benedryl (both cream and oral pills), which we did. The "no-seeums" are agressive. A member of our group was bit up badly and while there we were told to use baby oil or coconut oil to ward off the no-seeums. Bring that with you too :) Enjoy Sapphire Beach - We hope you have as great a time as we did!

- Clayton (4/5): Not so much. CCB - 5 days too long here. To remote location, road is not maintained very uncomfortably ride off roading surfaces and must take it to get around. No water taxis to and from this hotel. Hotel is in need of maintenance, showers are in need of servicing requested and no change. Water trickles out. No pressure. pool bottom needs repair paint worn off so gives the effect of algae but actually isn’t. Tiki bar open when bar tenders shows up. They tell you specific hours but never the same, One day not open at all. So if you want a drink must go to small restaurant on property And that particular day other employee in restaurant does not know how to make drinks. Insufficient supplies. Ran out of pineapple juice and other items on menu. Be sure to get a golf cart from San Pedro when you land prices can be negotiated to $35us a day weekly rate as at the hotel it is $75us daily and they do not have available carts on property at all times and you may find you ll be stuck without transportation as we did one day. Taxis are $60us each way. Recommend if you want to be this remote staying at a location with water taxi service you may pay more rate wise & resort fee includes Transfer back and forth daily. In the end you ll save money ie margarita ville or stay closer to San Pedro. Caulker cay is suppose to be much nicer smaller easier to get around. Positive weather was beautiful. People are friendly. Water and views amazing. Next time not a next for me. ✔️ed off list.

Rooms were spacious, clean, well supplied and offered great wifi and visual media. Staff was helpful and attentive. Housekeeping was excellent. Great stay, lovely pools and beach. Property is located 10 miles from San Pedro. Road is slow and rough. There is a dedicated taxi company associated with resort. That was helpful and efficient to be picked up at airport and return to depart. Cost is $100 return trip. We enjoyed our stay at the resort. Be aware that it is a distance and large expend to travel back and forth to San Pedro. Golf carts are for rent, but the cost and effort is not likely worth it. Would recommend property to families and couples.

Great staff, so helpful and welcoming. Clean property with great security. Beautiful beach. Some additional outdoor loungers would be nice. Front desk reception (Heidi) arranged a snorkel tour with Amigos del Mar tours. Kyle and Bert were the best guides and so fun. They made our trip a worthwhile experience. Looking forward to a return to sapphire next year.

Piles of single-use plastic litter on beaches, road etc. The hotel employees rake it up from *beach with the sea grass and dump it on neighboring properties. They could be part of the solution by picking out the trash and properly disposing of it. They should also provide trash cans on beach and around property. Saw many visitors/owners trying to do their part! Bring: bug spray (it is the tropics after all), reusable water bottles, ground coffee, and as many groceries as you can fit. (Food prices in Belize are high, and variety is low). I implore you NOT to buy/accept drinks in plastic bottles - as it will likely wind up in beach or ocean here. (Glad the resort has that dispenser,)

- Nicholas (10/5): A week of paradise - It is so remote you feel away from the world. The staff is great and so is the food. I would go again in a heartbeat They get a fair amount of retirees. It would be nice if there were some railings for steps
- LucyEudy (10/5): Pretty and secluded resort with outstanding on site food. - Sapphire Beach is like a little village in a secluded area north of San Pedro. The condos vary in size, but most units are private in their setting, with beautiful palm trees and white sand throughout. There are three pools, a tiki hut bar, and best of all a beautiful beach with piers going into the water. They have an on site restaurant serving three meals a day and the food is outstanding. The only downside is although they have many activities to offer, for most you have to go into San Pedro (about 30 minutes away) and for some of the better adventures you have to go to San Pedro, then take a water taxi to Belize for the adventure. Which is pricey and time consuming (about two hours altogether. If you just want to kick back and relax, it’s a very affordable vacation!

- 169peterm (6/5): Nice quiet location - This resort is far from town, and a golf cart is a must to get around. The resort has 3 small pools with no umbrellas for shade. On-site is one small restaurant. On the plus side, if you want peace and quiet, this is it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Strongly advise when visiting to bring coconut oil and benadryl as the no- see-ums ( sandflies) were aggressive during our visit.
- IRYNA (8/5): - This place's so quiet, which I like. Dark gets so fast, and you can’t hear anything except wind. Beach is beautiful, but you could not swim in the sea because it is dangerous. The facility did not recognise VIP status and didn’t upgrade my room. First, I received the room with no lock on a balcony door at all. I asked to change my room and waited more than 3 hours to get it done. In that room, the blanket had a big bloody stain right on the top. I was completely exhausted to ask a staff for help because they promised and never did. So… I just went to previous rooms and switched blankets. After I got a key for a new room, I realized that it fits for any room, which is not safe. The resort has 3 swimming pools, but one of them was officially closed, and I would never put my foot in another one with dirty water. Third one had a clean water. Be aware those pools are really small. This resort located around 40 minutes driving from town. I did not rent a golf cart for mobility because the road was with huge pedals, and I saw how carts stacked in the middle.
- Peter (6/5): - The property is 15km from San Pedro and about a 40min golf cart ride. So if you want peace and quiet, this is the place. I would strongly suggest renting a golf cart for the week(better pricing) to get around. The location has one restaurant on property with friendly staff. Within walking distance is one other beach bar. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the resort. They were super helpful and responsive to our needs. The two negatives are the location and secondly the Sandflies which were bad while we were there from Jan 5-19. One final note, before leaving San Pedro hit one of the grocery stores to stock up as the units do have a full kitchen. That way you will have some choice to get you started.

- Lahaie (10/5): Loved the facility overall, would probably choose a place a little closer to town when we come back - The location was a little far away for our liking, but being the first time there, it was perfectly fine overall. Had meals at the restaurant 2 or 3 times & they were great, seemed reasonable priced The 2 days that we took time to go to the adult pool, there were lots of bugs & debris in the water, so we really didn't get in. The other part about the pool specifically was the BLANKET of mosquitoes near the pool, made it nearly impossible to sit still
