I don’t know where to start to describe this amazing experience. The staff must be the most relevant memory of our stay, thanks to Tom, Elena, Ashok, Serigne, Selvia, Mary, Christley, Shaneer… and all the team everything was made for us to have the best experience possible, all the details and special attentions to surprise us were exceeding our expectations. The room was really clean, comfortable, the facilities and the staff at the swimming pool was really nice, making sure we always had everything needed. Breakfast was also a really good time with many different types of food, made by chefs that made us discover culinaries experiences from all over the world. - Husain (7/5): Mixed experience - My stay at The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal was, overall, a mixed experience — one that showcased remarkable grandeur and elegance, yet unfortunately fell short in several areas where a property of this caliber should excel. To begin with the positives, the architecture is undeniably stunning. The property truly delivers an impressive palace-like atmosphere, with magnificent design, grand proportions, and a lobby that immediately creates a sense of luxury and sophistication. The scale of the hotel is exceptional, and the furniture and interior detailing reflect the refined aesthetic expected from a prestigious five-star destination. The check-in process was also smooth, efficient, and professionally handled, which set an excellent first impression. However, for a hotel positioned at this level, the operational and culinary standards were inconsistent. The buffet offered variety, but quality was noticeably lacking — particularly in the meat selection, which did not feel fresh nor reflective of the premium standard one would expect. While the Italian section was fortunately the saving grace of the evening, overall dining quality should prioritize excellence over quantity. Service attentiveness also requires improvement. Basic dining essentials and utensils were not consistently monitored, which affected the dining experience. Housekeeping, while acceptable at first glance, lacked the meticulous precision associated with true luxury hospitality, as certain areas of the room were clearly overlooked. Additionally, the corridor carpets had an unpleasant odor, which detracted from the otherwise elegant environment. More concerning were the service inefficiencies: calls to reception for luggage assistance went unanswered for an extended period, and the mishandling of luggage during departure was disappointing and inconvenient. While the hotel did eventually resolve the matter, such oversights should not occur at this standard.

- Sindhu28 (10/5): Perfect stay - Everything about this place is exceptional. This is our second stay here. The girl at reception Albina was very welcoming and sweet. She even gave us late check out without us requesting for it. Only sad thing was we didn't get to stay as late since we had another engagement to get back to. Every staff we met were extremely pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much for them. They sent special cake platter as treat because it was out wedding anniversary that day. The whole ambiance of the place is superb and the view is more beautiful than it is in pictures. Breakfast is scrumptious with a lot more dishes than we could try. Hope to go back again some time in the future. Not a single thing.

Bereits beim Frühstück blieb kein Wunsch offen und selbst die Restaurantleitung Nikhil servierte uns dieses am Tisch. Besonders möchten wir die Leistungen der Lounge-Leitung von Dipika und von Chefkoch Ritesh Dixit erwähnen. Einer der größten Pools, die wir je vorfanden, überzeugte durch Top-Service, der z.B. durch Janak erbracht wurde. Wir danken dem ganzen Team und kommen immer wieder gern.

- Abdulrahman (8/5): Excellent and Comfortable Stay, Very Luxurious, Great Value - The hotel is very luxurious and the breakfast buffet was great. Room service was exceptional. I just did not like the horse paintings that they had. I understand that it is for decor, but in a lot of cultures it is prohibited to be in a room with paintings that have real life drawn creatures. Another thing being the shower, the shower hose is extremely close to the faucet which makes the hose get stuck most of the times. I actually got injured a bit because of that, I would recommend that such rooms must be looked at by product and UX designers.

The service truly stood out—especially the manager Mr. hashim saleh who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade, which made the experience even more special. At one point, I needed a charger, and the team handled it quickly and efficiently without any hassle. It’s small gestures like these that really show the level of care and attention to detail at this hotel. Overall, exceptional hospitality and a memorable stay—I would definitely return. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall design created a calm, luxurious atmosphere. Small details — from thoughtful amenities to impeccable housekeeping — made the stay feel effortless and relaxing. Breakfast: Breakfast was a highlight of the stay. The selection was extensive, offering both international and local options, all fresh and beautifully presented. Service was attentive without being intrusive, making it a perfect start to the day. Pool: The pool area was excellent — peaceful, well-organised, and ideal for unwinding. Comfortable loungers, attentive poolside service, and a relaxing ambience made it easy to spend hours simply enjoying the surroundings. Overall, the experience reflected true Ritz-Carlton hospitality: refined, professional, and genuinely welcoming, especially Mr Subham, who was very polite and quite helpful. A wonderful stay that I would happily recommend and look forward to repeating. While the overall experience was excellent, a few minor areas could be improved. During peak breakfast hours, the restaurant felt slightly crowded, which made the pace of service a bit slower than expected for a luxury property. These were small points in an otherwise outstanding stay but addressing them would further elevate the guest experience.

Regarding the buffet at main place, the average waiting time even for drinks was 15 min. On top of that waiters kept forgetting things 😀 Tables were rarely cleaned.
