• Tiara (3/5): - Nothing I waited 4 hours to check in, the front desk was rude, I had to wait even longer to get my room because they gave my room original room to others. It was hard to sleep at night due to the overwhelming amount of noise, there was a smell coming from my room.

We’re pretty chill travelers but when you have a baby with you there’s certain things you need… 1. The front desk guy was talking on the phone for a good 5min while I was standing there to check in 2. The room smelled disgusting 3. The room was not clean, there was someone’s chapstick still under a table 4. No towels OR toilet paper???! When we called down to get some delivered to our room it took 30+ min… 5. Pillows were literally nothing to them 6. Was told by the guy at check in that check out was 12pm and got kicked out at 11am 7. We couldn't even watch the T.V. there was a huge glitch/line throughout it Again - we’re not picky travelers, but I would definitely not stay here again or recommend staying here.

• Andrews (5/5): Despite my complaints it was overall not horrible, you get what you pay for. - It was a good price for the oceanfront. The bright lights that come on at night makes it hard to sleep. There was no toilet paper. Our room wasn't clean, no one swept we had to wipe down everything before we used it. Dirty sock from previous guess was behind the bathroom door. If the hotel invested in real cleaning services it would be considered a nice room.

Smelled really bad of stale cigarette smoke and it was a non smoking room. Asked for towels and was continually given floor mats. Base of toilet was not clean. Out of soap, and shampoo. Had to purchase our own soap, shampoo and toilet paper.
• Joy GH (5/5): It was a 130 a night hotel. Not much to expect. Not 5 star by any means. - Other than the bright lights on the balconies, it was daylight all night! The attitude of the guy in the lobby out in the parking lot. The 7-11 at 6am and the noisy sirens at night.

• Trevor (3/5): Beware. - Location and walking distance from beach. Room was not clean. The towels were not washed and just folded for the next guest. "Stuff" was on the towels and they were damp. It wasn't due to the rainy day because of seeing stuff on the towels. I couldn't believe it. Pants from the last guest left in bathroom, hair on the tub, fuzz ball in corner of bathroom. I tried two rooms and the same situation with dirty towels. When I asked for clean ones, they only had one to provide us with. The hotel was not full as we were definitely in off season. Because we were past the cancellation date of our reservation, we had to pay for half of our reservation. (2 nights out of 4). I felt we should have gotten a full refund due to the towel issue, but we did not. Unbelievable that the hotel would recycle towels. I kid you not! This wasn't a 3rd world country were maybe you would experience something like that... The refrigerator did not work. I had counted on having one so we could eat some meals in our room. We high tailed it out of there for another hotel after the second dirty room with pre-used towels. I had hoped in off season that about $90 a night would be a fair price for a lower scale hotel with decent reviews. Aweful, you get what you pay for.

Love having the 7-11 next door. I don’t see enough of the reviews mentioning the sink and how it was literally overlapping the toilet - that was really uncomfortable. That space was so small The pillows .. oh lord. Flat like pancakes. Simply awful. I’m not exaggerating Putting two together didn’t even equal one regular pillow. If you’re staying here please heed my warning and bring your own!! Also being on the 3rd floor left much to be desired. Next time if we would stay here, we would definitely request a lower floor.

• chrissalynns (10/5): One of my FAVORITE hotels anywhere, hands down! - I wish I could write a review that was able to express how much I love this understated, welcoming gem that sits amidst a city full of overhyped chain "resorts" that wouldn't remember you if you stayed there for a year straight. This place is EXACTLY what I look for when I am booking a room. I am a business owner/operator that travels pretty extensively for work. In fact, travel is such a regular thing for me and my family (which for me, includes my small and talented group of employees along with my spouse and child) that we spend the vast majority of our downtime in hotels, because paying for a place we never visit is just not very intelligent in my eyes, especially when it will never be "home". So the genuine comfort and relaxation that I enjoy when I find a place like Oceans 2700 is hard for me to describe. Virginia Beach is the city my business is most connected to, and the place that I spend the most time at when not on the road touring. This last few months I have been making the rounds in various area hotels, because we have had a good focus of work here, and this hotel is where I feel the most at home, relaxed and at ease, and the place that I am greeted with a smile and a genuine interest in how I have been, because I am ALWAYS remembered here, always treated like I was missed while I was elsewhere working. The rooms are exactly what this property portrays them to be. They're clean, they have the necessary amenities for me and my little circle to be able to kick our feet up and rest, and the staff, especially the wonderful young woman that works her tail off day in and day out, are beyond any expectation I could have for a small, affordable, independent property. I have one of the most HECTIC schedules you could imagine, and most times, its late - VERY late - when I get to a property to check in. This is the ONLY place that I have not had a single issue when I show up at 2am nearly unintelligible from exhaustion, needing to check in, or get a new key because I lost mine, yet again, not just here in VA Beach, but in any city really. The personal considerations they give naturally to their guests is unreal because so many places do not see the person, just the booking number and dollar amount. If you want a different vibe, one that makes you feel welcome and valued, this is my ONLY recommendation. I will book this place over, and over, and over, and do so knowing I will have 0 complaints every last time. Don't sleep on this place. Sleep at it I stead. You'll be glad you did, and you might just find that you don't even want to leave when the time comes. But hey, why take my word for it when you can find out yourself for an unbelievably low cost. ;-)

• Sheliah (4/5): I would not go back I told the girl this morning that the remote didn't work she had nothing to say - It was clean The remote would not work the TV would not change channels the volume on the remote would not work I told the lady at the desk several times it could be the batteries she said no I am at the little thing hanging on the TV that didn't work so finally I just gave up so we had no TV to watch but one channel and no working remote we should've got a refund or a discount because of all of this it was very noisy and loud people were hollering alarms on cars were going off all night long it was a noisiest place I've ever stayed there was wrecked a marijuana smell And I would not go back

All the rooms were covered in vomit, mold in the fridges and dirt an dust all over the place as if they only made the beds. The receptionist at the time was "helpful" and explained how other people didn't do their jobs as if it wasn't hers job to double check to make sure the room was ready for a new guest. She stated that she would issue a refund immediately. I called on 11/13 and she said it was issued directly to Booking.com even thought I paid at the property and have a receipt. I reached out to booking chat CS who said they didn't receive any refund for the stay. I tried to call her back. I asked for the # she got on the confirmation that she got when she refunded the stay but she could not provide this information. She began to yell at me and said I was not allowing her to help me. BUT i paid at the property NOT booking.com. I asked for her corp /#and she told me good luck finding it an hung up. booking.com is also no help. No #

The room was crawling with cockroaches, which immediately made me question how this place is even allowed to operate. On top of that, there was a horrible smell in the room a mix of mold, sewage, and something rotten. It was unbearable! No guest should have to deal with such filthy and unhygienic conditions. I couldn’t even relax or sleep properly because of how dirty everything felt. Management clearly doesn’t care about cleanliness or customer experience. STAY AWAY

• rachelmT457VA (2/5): Terrible management and poor conditions - This property is severely mismanaged and fails to meet even basic hospitality standards. Rooms are outdated, poorly maintained, and have an unpleasant odor that makes them uncomfortable to stay in. Cleanliness and upkeep are clearly not a priority here. The management staff lacks professionalism and basic customer service skills. Instead of assisting guests or resolving issues properly, they tend to dismiss complaints or shift responsibility. Situations that could be handled with courtesy and efficiency are instead met with indifference and unhelpful attitudes. Considering the condition of the facilities and the level of service provided, the prices charged are unjustifiable. There are far better options in the area, cleaner, safer, and run by people who actually understand hospitality. Not recommended. Look elsewhere for a decent stay.

• Kendra (1/5): Lacking - Not too far from the beach. Harris teeter around the corner for essential needs. There was damage to our room when we arrived. I brought it up to staff that way I wouldnt receive repercussions for something that wasn't my fault. I also requested extra pillows because theirs were tiny and flat and uncomfortable. She said that we would receive them the next day and someone would check the damage. She wrote all of this down on a sticky note. Our room was never cleaned, nothing checked, and we never received the extra pillows. One night we came back around 2 am and there was no parking and I tried to get into contact with front desk to see where to park. No one was in the office and I had to actually call the hotel number to get in contact with someone.

• carl (10/5): - I enjoyed a one night stay on a rainy September Saturday. The hotel was great. The building has been there for decades so it is old, but perfectly maintained, newer appliances and fixtures, immaculately clean. The room wasn't super big especially with two queen beds in, but big enough to shower sleep and chill. It's VB oceanfront so dozens of food beverage and shopping options within blocks. One block from the beach. Lots of convenience stores but only one full grocery store in the area and it's about three blocks away from this hotel so that was great. There's a small pool, barely any lobby to speak of or other common areas. Just a door to a balcony, the steps are outside as well but right next to the parking.

The room smelled as if a deodorizer bomb was set off and had to air out the room for two hours and still ended up with a headache by morning. The bed was like sleeping on the floor and the pillow was paper thin. There was debris between the sheets which tells me the sheets were not changed. This place definitely needs to be updated.

TV did not work the first night, employee was in the room trying to fix it for quite some time, cable company was called. No compensation of any kind was offered, front desk employee was rude when we tried to talk with them about the problems we had. Photos are very misleading, do not recommend staying here.

• Sarah (4/5): - No idea how this place has a very good rating. Mold/mildew smell is layered with air freshener so cloying you can taste it. Gross, sticky floors. Holes in the sheets, two flat, OLD yellow pillows, yellowed sheets and blankets, stained towels. Hairball on the shower wall and layers of crud/dust in the ridges of headboard. Half a roll of tp on the back of the toilet, no roll dispenser. Check in was friendly/easy and close to beach are only positives. Bare bones amenities at ridiculous Oceanfront prices. Lesson learned, never again.

It is beach town many visitors due to this the room smells horrible old stained dirt couldn’t sleep, shower so dirty it doesn’t have hot water it mildly warm water. The property have three floors no elevator so if are 3rd floors with luggage good luck.

The room needed work: Bathroom door would not close, no hand towel for sink, toilet paper holder not installed, bed needed to be shifted down to make better room for the sofa and table, TV was impossible to work without help from the staff, and the room was noisy at night from traffic from the road. If you want a clean place to stay, with good rates, near the boardwalk then it is fine.

• Cesira (4/5): - A few pros: Walkable location. Easy parking. Affordable (however, you very much get what you pay for) Cons: There were stains on the sheets, towels, and curtains. They only gave us three (very small, thin) towels for the two of us - when we asked for more, we were told to trade our dirty towels for new ones. When I tried to clarify that we actually needed more to shower (for hair and body), I was told to wait until they were done cleaning other rooms… no one ever brought us another towel. Also, I’m not sure if it’s because we had a room next to the hotel’s utility closet, but our shower never really had hot water. There was one shower where it switched from scolding hot water to freezing cold water throughout.

The table between the beds was falling off the wall. TV remote wouldn’t work most of the time. Telephone wasn’t working. Tried to call the office, no one answered.

• Lois (8/5): - The desk clerk was very friendly. Our room was clean. The noise from the traffic was kind of annoying. The pool was clean and refreshing. Being able to walk to a few dining places was nice. Parking was tight, not a big area to park. My overall experience was a 4 out of 5.
• Susmit (8/5): - The property is very conveniently located and is just 2 blocks away from the beach. Hotel staff are very friendly and all the amenities work. Lots of good food options nearby. Rooms are in good shape and well kept. This is the best that you will get at this price point. Its a little bit difficult to find parking, but it seems there is 1 parking allotted per room.
• Manuel (8/5): - Clean room. Nice and friendly staff. Good low budget place to stay close to the beach.
• Lynne (3/5): Not my best choice on this trip - The pool looked clean. Refurbished interior was nice Had to change rooms first thing due to cleanliness. Then tv would not work and had very limited options. Remote was supposed to be replaced and wasn’t. No hot water 2 of the 3 nights. Would not accommodate a ground floor room. Room was not tidied up with fresh towels for entire stay. Bed’s uncomfortable and only 2 very worn pillows per bed. I rarely ever give negative review but for the price I expect hot water at least, and not have to time mine around other guests.
• Melissa (4/5): No more - Huge bag of condoms found in the room with a black purse full of the same. Bathroom was ok, but tub was dirty and unsanitary.
• Jackie (4/5): - This establishment is suitable for a brief overnight stay, but perhaps not ideal for extended visits. The pervasive odor of mildew is quite noticeable. While the property is generally well-maintained, the humidity presents a challenge. Unfortunately, there are no windows available for ventilation, and the bathroom fan is the sole means of air circulation. I observed that keeping the bathroom door closed offers some improvement. The receptionist is notably professional. It is unfortunate that undesirable individuals frequent the premises, a situation that management seems unable to fully address. In my opinion, addressing the mildew issue and cleaning the shower curtains to eliminate mold could significantly improve the overall experience.

• Wil (2/5): Cutting cost at your expense - Water was Cold I drive in and checked in near 1200am and had an 9am appt. I woke up around 7 and the water was Cold in my room I wasn’t able to get a shower I had to go get another room and change my appointment to 1pm. The hotel agent’s explanation was that there was no maintenance the on site until later…….very terrible experience
