Our flight arrived early so we requested to have atleast 1 room available for early check in, surprisingly they had both rooms ready before noon. Rooms and hallways were a bit dark. We had an unfortunate fall in the street unloading baggage and handing keys for valet in a pothole that has been there ‘quite a while’ per the team. I did call back to the property on Wednesday 13th and staff (Claudia I think?) was going to send me a photo of the street after Council responded to me report of the pothole issue.

• Philippa (10/5): 10/10 all round excellent hotel experience - We love the vibe of this hotel! Eclectically styled, with generously sized rooms and excellent customer service. This is our favourite Sydney hotel! I didn’t like having to leave.
• Jhana (9/5): Great lil place to stay! - The ambiance and decor at reception, on the floors and in the rooms. Brooding but also that little bit extra. Loved the quality amenities in the room and space. It can tend to be darker than most hotels but it does make them stand out. The bath plug would not stay closed which made the lovely bath a bit less enjoyable

• Saadyat (6/5): - Staff are lovely. Room size. Location unbeatable. I honestly found it strange that this property is rated so high and features in different top hotel lists. The rooms are DIRTY. I lost my earring and when I looked under the bed, it was disgusting there. Most of the walls have some kind of stains, which I think are easy to clean off but nobody cares? Shower drain had hair from previous guests :s Even with all the positives, room upkeep is a an absolute non negotiable if they want to be top rated.

• Darryl (2/5): Booking.com and QT Hotel were intent on ensuring that my stay was unfriendly. - Room was quiet. I booked QT Hotel because Booking.com very enthusiastically highlighted (in reassuring green, no less) that a taxi to the airport was included — a detail that mattered when you’ve got an early flight and a low tolerance for chaos. What followed was an unexpected side quest involving multiple phone calls, emails, and texts… all in pursuit of this mythical ‘taxi voucher’. QT’s response? A masterclass in the fine art of distancing: apparently their third-party arrangement with Booking.com exists in a parallel universe they bear no responsibility for. Fascinating approach to hospitality. The hotel itself leans heavily into a “dark, moody” aesthetic — atmospheric if you’re into that — though credit where it’s due: the room was quiet. Pre-paid breakfast included a juice in a plastic bottle and a coffee without a pastry. All in all, an experience that has ensured I won’t be returning — even under highly incentivised circumstances.

We stayed for 3 nights and I let you know it was a special occasion (wedding anniversary) so an acknowledgment of that might have made our stay a little more memorable. • Christiane (10/5): My favourite hotel in Sydney - Best hotel in Sydney - have been coming here since 2011 and it never disappoints! All staff are amazing - it’s a home away from home for us It’s a lovely boutique hotel with quirky interior. Beds are comfortable. Great for a romantic getaway. Fabulous for staying alone for work. The hotel restaurant is great too, and the little breakfast bar makes good coffee.

• stuart (7/5): expensive but ambiance is worth it although will need to be convinced to go again given poor service - atmosphere and location are amazing service in the bar is appalling , no one in charge. when you do get served it takes forever to get your drinks and its as if you are imposing on the wait staff - they have no social skills at all
