- Ka Yu Andrew (10/5): Wonderful stay - I had a wonderful stay at Riverside B&B. The service was excellent, and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great advice on local attractions. The rooms were clean, tidy, and cozy—perfect for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
- Charmaine (10/5): Great B&B in Bainbridge Yorkshire - Excellent B&B.
Room lovely and comfortable. Personal touches.
Breakfast excellent.
Host is so friendly and informative about surrounding area.
Would definitely recommend a stay.
- Brenda (10/5): - The room, although small, was beautifully clean. Tea coffee etc was topped up every day. The little fridge had fresh milk every day. Roxana was an amazing host who welcomed you with friendliness and good advice. Breakfast was simple but well cooked and cooked just for you. There was a lovely little garden overlooking the river which enabled you to enjoy the calmness of nature. There was a comfortable lounge/ dining room to enjoy during the day should you need a rest from the walks!!! There were nice walks from the hotel, which was in a pretty little village.Next to the property was a lovely tea room offering home cooked foods, and across the green a village pub.
- Philip (10/5): - Super host, wouldn’t hesitate to go again, wholeheartedly recommend
- Jeremy (10/5): - Loved our stay, great location. Our room was compact, but well appointed and clean. Only minor gripe being a very small shower. Absolute highlight was our host Roxana. Lovely from start to finish, friendly, helpful and an amazing chef because breakfast was awesome.
Will definitely return when we go back to the Dales.
- Jayne (10/5): - Lovely B&B. The host couldn't be more helpful. Very generous breakfast. Great amenities in the room including fridge and hair dryer.
Couldn't fault the place.
- Edward (2/5): Riverside b&b Bainbridge - The pictures on website did not show the condition of building. Broken windows some boarded up. We did not stay there, we had to find elsewhere to stay. We can send pictures of the true condition. It completely spoilt our holiday
- Janet (10/5): - Roxana is a wonderful host. The rooms were lovely and breakfast perfect. I would highly recommend staying here. The only downside would be the location of the rooms on the 2nd floor so access is difficult if guest are physically challenged. Otherwise, this place is great.
- Andrew (10/5): - Roxana is a great host and very knowledgeable about the area, the cooked breakfast in the morning is very nice and the rooms are excellent. Definitely worth a repeat visit or short stay for walking in the area
- Karen (10/5): Amazing place to stay - The Riverside was a beautiful place to stay. Amazing views. Lovely lady in charge. Breakfast was. Really nice. The was nothing I. Could complain about. Perfect weekend away. Will definitely recommend and. Come back

- Sarah (10/5): - We have had such an amazing stay in Roxanna’s B&B. Lovely little card in our room to say congratulations on our engagement.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a lovely stay here at the weekend, we were the only guest due to it being the end of January. The room and facilities were lovely, the bed was extremely comfortable, great when you are knocked out from the country air!.Thee room was very clean and tidy with everything you could need for a short stay. Roxanna the hostess was delightful, very chatty and helpful, the breakfast was of a high standard and all freshly cooked, with a number of different options to choose from. I would highly recommend.
- John (10/5): Great stay ! - Lovely room, great breakfast, superb host. Thanks Roxanne !
- Peter (10/5): - Roxanne is an excellent host
breakfast was vey well cooked, especially the eggs which were free range fresh and tasty
room comfy with everything you need
house has a lot of character, and though I did not need good selection of books and games if weather wet
- GRAHAM (10/5): Home from home - Amazing. Roxana is an excellent hostess the rooms were very clean, tea, coffee and milk were provided in the room, the breakfast choices were very varied and nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning in the not too distant future
- Maggie S. (10/5): Lovely Riverside ambiance, wish we could have stayed longer! Roxanne was lovely, helpful and accommo - Beautiful place and surroundings 👍
- Rob (10/5): October short break - Very friendly host with great knowledge of the local area and a great breakfast to start the day.
Thank you Roxana and we look forward to seeing you again
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not what I expected - This is a 2 floor walk-up and not at all suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It is not mentioned in any description which is unfortunate as I would not have booked it had I known I had to go up 2 flights of stairs on crutches. The handrails that were hard to try to use as they are up against the wall not allowing a good grip.
I was looking for a B&B in Leyburn. This B&B is not in Leyburn but about 9 miles away. There was only one place in this village to eat and it quit serving food at 8pm.
Though there is free wi-fi, it is not possible to make mobile phone calls or send texts from the B&B. It is necessary to walk some distance away to get mobile phone signal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location central to village - Staff amazing nothing to much trouble, beautiful clean room , large ensuite. good view of bridge and river. breakfast perfectly cooked , good portion size , love the help yourself to toast when you want it. Good quality local products.
- Geoffrey (8/5): A memorable stay in the Yorkshire Dales - We have stayed here before and as always we had a very pleasant stay. Roxana is an excellent host.
Unfortunately now we are getting older the staircase is difficult to manage. However we appreciate that this is unavoidable in a building of this nature and character.
- Tim (10/5): Great Place to Stay & a Great Breakfast - RiversideB&B in Bainbridge is a great place to stay, it is clean, warm & well furnished. Roxana is a really great host and cooks a fantastic breakfast My son & I stayed in room 3 a twin room with great views. We both slept extremely well. Guest info:-The river Bain is the Uk's shortest river & as shown in one of my pic's it also has an Archimedes screw hydroelectric generator just up the river - I've never seen one before-it generates electricity for 40+ houses
- John (10/5): Excellent Dales B&B - Overnight stay in Dales. Delightful welcome, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Great views from and around house.
- Craig (10/5): Cosy BnB - Cosy BnB with a lovely host. Excellent breakfast
- Cazzita (8/5): Fab little B&B on the river - We really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it. It's small, I was expecting the four poster room to be a little bigger but once I got over that, it was great. The situation is really gorgeous - between two large craggy hiils and right on the river by a bridge. The sound of the rushing water was very relaxing and it qas nice to be able to sit in the garden next to the river. Parking is limited but still fine. The breakfast is wonderful as is the landlady, Roxanna.
Very quirky, clean and tidy with a lovely view from the dining room.
The only bugbear was the dvd player in the 4 poster room, it would not work properly,
Overall, really lovely and we will be back!
- Ian (10/5): - very friendly and helpful
- Tony (10/5): Nice location, excellent service from our host - Easy to find in a beautiful little village, lots of lovely walks nearby and very nice places to eat. Would highly recommend this b@b to anyone.
- Stephen (10/5): The Perfect Location in the Yorkshire Dales - Bainbridge is perfectly placed to explore the villages and dales. It's easy to head in any direction. Riverside was perfect for us. Roxana is a wonderful hostess. Her B&B is comfortable, spotlessly clean, very quiet. We would love to stay again if we return to the Yorkshire Dales.
- sue (8/5): Very nice B. & B. Roxanna was lovely. - Roxanna has good knowledge of the areas, local and further fields. She gave us a very warm welcome, nothing was to much to ask and she makes one of the best Full English Breakfast I have had. Overall I would stay again
- Kirsty (10/5): Lovely - Such a friendly welcome! Cosy room and delicious breakfast. We will go back!
- M (10/5): Warm, clean, comfortable in every way--and a good - We searched the internet to find a room with twin beds (not all sets of two travellers are mates!). Having booked this we were delighted when we arrived. The room, clean and tidy, was pleasingly arranged. The beds were cosy and comfortable. The shower was hot and satisfying. The location was quiet; we slept well. Morning brought a hearty and delicious breakfast as well as the pleasure of conversation with our hospitable host who provided helpful directions and travel tips.
- Aussie on tour (10/5): Idyllic setting. - Arrived to a warm welcome from Roxana. Great sleep. Woke to an excellent breakfast. Sad to leave. Hope to return soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly hostess.
- Cathy (8/5): Hotel - In YorkshireOops! Please add a bit more to your review.
- Andy (10/5): On tour - 1 day in the dales as part of tour including NE England first, and after the dales, the peak district.
- Stephen (10/5): Amazing - no complaints. Best breakfasts in ages. - Very warm and hospitable - Roxana (owner/host) is very friendly and willing to help in any way. The breakfast for us was the highlight - very generous buffet of cereals (including real Alpen muesli!), fruit, juices, with a full cooked breakfast with many options, and toast/jams. All things are replenished/refilled without holding back - very generous. Roxana offered to buy us soy milk when we told her we don't normally drink milk (vegan).......nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms were nicely decorated and equipped - not massive, but it's a Lake District cottage!
The only negative I can think of is a personal thing - we had a fixed head shower rather than one you can hand-hold and move around......but that's all I can think of that I'd change!
Beautiful surroundings, and 2-3 really nice pubs/hotels for evening meals nearby.
Close to Wensleydale Cheese factory too - highly recommended.
- Gill (8/5): Situated in lovely part of beautiful Dales village - Warm, friendly welcome from hostess. Room clean, cosy with all amenities. Hostess brought fresh milk for tea on arrival after hard walk on hot day.
Hot English breakfast cooked fresh to order. I will definitely return and can highly recommend it.
Tea shops in village and mine host and staff at the pub is very friendly.
- Not Provided (10/5): Peaceful weekend - Lovely weekend away perfect hotel and great host
- Peter (10/5): - The most friendly and welcoming hostess. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Highly recommended.
- Carol (10/5): Best B and B in The Dales - Roxanna was the most wonderful host, she could not have been more helpful or welcoming - just superb!
- Steven (10/5): Great Bed and Breakfast in the heart of the Dales - Lovely room overlooking the river. Roxanna was an excellent host. Breakfast was great. Thoroughly recommended.
- James (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful place, Roxana was lovely and made us very welcome
- Verified traveler (10/5): Delightful B & B - Riverside is a delightful B & B full of character. Roxanne is a treasure, full of knowledge of the area & always cheerful.
- Eddie (10/5): A Little Gem - A Little Gem Roxana really looks after her guests. Nicely situated in the village of Bainbridge. Wi- Fi is excellent a rare treat these day's. Would strongly recommend if you are touring in Wensleydale.
- Chris (10/5): Riverside - Excellent b&b
Really appreciated the homeliness and was made very welcome. Breakfast was one of the best. Very friendly and eager to please
Will certainly stay again
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful b&b with character - We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Riverside B&B. Roxanna was very welcoming but wasn't intruding. The room was perfect, bed comfortable and the tea and biscuits went down well! The views from the room were beautiful. Breakfasts was great and Roxanna gave us lots of tips for things to do the next day. Would definitely recommend.
- Steve (10/5): Lovely B&B - What a lovely place. Everything you would expect from a rural retreat with outstanding views.
- Angela (10/5): An excellent B & B. Highly recommended. - 1 night stay en-route north. This B & B was fantastic and the Landlady really pleasant and helpful. Situated in a beautiful little village next to the river. Everything about this B & B was good and I have recommended it to friends and family. I would highly recommend this to anyone considering a stay in the area. I would certainly use again if in the area.
