- Frederick Jacobus (8/5): We had a lovely stay. The cottage is furnished tastefully. It's cozy and welcoming. - Location was great. We expected off road parking. There is a driveway, but only a very small car will be able to use it. We parked on the street in the allocated parking spot. Everything was fine.
There are panel heaters in both bedrooms and hot water bottles are provided, also other heater for the living area That we had to park in the street.
- Jakkie (9/5): -
- Engela (9/5): Superb -
- Liza (8/5): The street leads to the informal housing area ; we weere subjected to a vagrant - - Vehicle had to be parked outside - the path next to the house is too narrow for a vehicle - Also, the gate at the entrance was dark (after hours) - no lighting - and therefore a huge safety risk
- Karen (10/5): Great ! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back! - Fabulous! Very well equipped, extremely comfortable. Lorna an excellent host. Just beautiful. An extra loo or 2 bathrooms would be great but it suited our needs.
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tracy (7/5): Pleasant - Plunge pool and nice patio Bedroom windows couldn’t open and it was a very hot evening
- Munro (8/5): Enjoyable. However the house needs maintenance. - Location was what we expected. Layout was good. All was nice
- Chris (10/5): The house is well situated in Prince albert and very well equipped, a cozy, comfortable place - The location, size, facilities, pool as well as Prince Albert and its quirkiness, just great. A pleasure to stay at the house. The Aircon was also welcome as well as a great level of space.
- Gail (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location. Lovely plunge pool and interesting historic building.
- Stefan (8/5): Very good - Requires some maintenance

- Carina (10/5): Exceptional - The property is impeccably maintained, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting that is perfect for relaxation.
The accommodation was both comfortable and tastefully furnished, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. The attention to detail truly made our stay feel special. The surroundings were serene, allowing us to unwind after a long road.
It is clear that a great deal of care and effort goes into maintaining this exceptional overnight destination. Parking a problem with large vehicle.
- Annelize (8/5): Very good - The aircon was a treat. The unit was clean and neat. No braaiwood either complimentary or to purchase.

- Crawford (10/5): Exceptional - Immaculate place, beautifully furnished. Lorna was awesome. Loved the rusks and fresh milk. The area was great too.
- Nicolene (9/5): Superb - Awesome facilities, with everything you need. We didn't want to go home!! The one bed is extremely firm and uncomfortable. But everything else was fantastic.
- Leonie (8/5): Very good -
- Petra (9/5): Superb - Lovely little house with lots of attention to detail. We loved the backyard, patio and pool. We were not so fond of the numerous dead animals in the house, zebra skin etc.
Car better stays outside, because the way to the potential backyard parking is very narrow. Also no WiFi.
- Werner (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (8/5): Comfortable and clean - Sweet and cosy house with all the basics covered and easy to get to the main sights in Prince Albert.
- Daniella (9/5): Superb -

- Sandy (9/5): We went for the Vino Camino and it was really nice. Great atmosphere. We have always liked the town. - It was near everything and just overall nice. Laura was fantastic. So helpful and accommodating. It would have been nice to have Wi-Fi. The fact that there is no TV was not a problem.
- Nine (9/5): Lovely stay. Will go again. - Beautifully decorated. Well kept cottage Just cut the sipres tree and take away the flower Bed in the middle of the parking and guests can park off street.
- Francois (8/5): Very good -
- Caren (8/5): Great location and comfortable stay - Great location in town, owner friendly and provided useful local information. N/A

Our host went the extra mile to organise us braai wood after she saw we were on motor bikes. Nothing

- Kerry (8/5): Home from home. - Lorna is an absolute gem, she was warm and friendly and met us at the cottage, she took us through the house and recommended an amazing restaurant for supper. The cottage is gorgeous, it's super clean and spacious and the kitchen is so well equipped it was astonishing. The whole property is comfortable and felt like home from home, we loved it so much we have booked again for our next trip. We loved everything

- Allen (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable stay - close to amenities - all in walking distance. All facilities clean and comfortable - Enjoyed the peace and quiet and the pool to cool off in Narrow driveway
- Louhani (8/5): Gem found. - Love the whole town and location!!!!. Lots of character and authenticity 😉 Loved the swimming pool and character of the karoo decor. Could have stayed a month. Well equipted. Will be back. Parking in the street without windows from the house to see if verchile is safe. Maybe help with luggage would have helped since beggars hang around the vehicle while you unpack. I also suggest a keysafe with a combination for when you check out. Thieves entered the house just after we left and stole a couple of things. Could also easily have been out stuff.
- Francois (9/5): Superb -
- Heidi (9/5): Superb -
- Douglas (8/5): Blessed 😇 to have stayed over in a little old church. We were very comfortable there, pity there was a town power outage - Easy to find. Beautiful little ‘huisie’ in Prince Albert, and well equipped. Very clean and comfortable. The driveway was a little narrow, however we managed to get it and out, with some guidance.
- Muller (8/5): Very good -
- Willie (9/5): Superb - Very clean and facilities perfect
- Kevin (8/5): Typically Prince Albert - Clean and well equipped, comfortable. Typical of the properties in this area, unique and historical. Well situated It was necessary to spray the rooms for mosquitos, this meant closing the doors. As the windows don't open it made the bedrooms very hot when the fans stopped due to load shedding.
No Wi-Fi

- Kayla (10/5): Our weekend at Bod Huisie for the Rugby World Cup 2023! - Everything about the Bid Huisie was so cosy & homey. There was nothing.
- Lindie (9/5): Superb -
Nothing
- Brand (10/5): A lovely stay that was too short. We will have to come again. - This is a beautiful gem in Prince Albert, we will definitely come again. The location of the property is great. The host was super helpful and gave us great recommendations on where to dine as well. Excellent value for money
- Christa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ellis (8/5): Beautiful home and would easily stay there again. - Clean, safe and well positioned. Being woken up at 6.30 by a local wanting to wash the car outside.

- Gerda (8/5): Very cosy cottage with everything you need for a stay in PA. - Very friendly host and well equipped clean cottage. We enjoyed our stay in this amazing little village. Excellent restaurants on the door step. We loved this place. If I have to say: a blowdryer would have been handy! The host immediately helped us out on this one. Thank you!
- Suzanne (7/5): Good -
- Karin (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage, good value for money. Well equipped. Loved Prince Albert. Will be back. Not apicable
- Clinton (10/5): Exceptional -

- Andreas (10/5): Perfect gem - Location, ambiance, value for money Nothing
- Margaret (10/5): we had a great stay - great location- great decor ?? hairdryer
- Hall (9/5): Cute, and spacious outdoors space with pool - Really cute little former church, with deck and pool out back. Better garden furniture would be good! To enable guests to make full use of the big verandah. And the back door didn't lock.
- Antoi1973 (9/5): Superb -
- Janina (10/5): Made to feel very welcome - Very warm welcome. Communication was excellent so we knew what to expect. Very comfortable accommodation and well decorated Nothing comes to mind
- Ellis (8/5): Very good -
- Leon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (10/5): beautiful and well equipped house - great spacious and very clean house with nice pool. very well maintained. warm welcome there were a lot of mosquitoes (and those seemed repellant resistant) during the night
- Thibault (6/5): Cute house but needs some improvements against mosquitoes and heat - The house is beautiful and the rooms are big. The swimming pool is very nice. The place is well located and walking distance to a few restaurants.
There were a few annoying things that didn't make our stay as enjoyable as I thought it would be (see other section). I would go back if some improvements were made. Load shedding was a BIG problem. I know it isn't their fault but it did impact the quality of our stay. It was 43 degrees outside during the day. The house got extremely hot. Then there was a 5.45 hour load shedding from 00:00 till 5:45am. It was IMPOSSIBLE to sleep because it was so hot in the rooms. The fan and the A/C would't work (because of lod shedding) but what we hated was the fact that the windows were sealed so we couldn't get the cooler air stream from the night. I should have definitely slept outside on a couch, it would have been better.
There were SO MANY mosquitoes. We killed at least 10 per room. I feel like some mosquito nets would have been really helpful because it was impossible to sleep.
Don't put your car in the backyard if you have a SUV. It's quite easy to get in but getting out is quite complicated.
- Marcelle (8/5): we enjoyed our 1 night stay over - very cute and quite authentic dogs barking next door
- Adriaan (9/5): We had a wonderful stay in this tastefully decorated little house with everything that is needed. Very comfortable and p - The rooms, kitchen and living room, and the pool. Parking was limited.
- Berdene (8/5): Very good -
- Willemfouche (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities and very authentic
- Tanya (6/5): Pleasant -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annamarie (9/5): Superb -
- Linmari (10/5): For the perfect Prince Albert stay - Favourite place to stay when visiting Prince Albert! Look no further - Bidhuisie has all the features of the perfect stay.
Check-in and host communication was hassle free and extra accommodating.
Will definitely be back (for a third time!). Not one negative comment
- Rene' (8/5): a well priced and positioned stay over for a night or even a weekend - nice and private . - No breakfast at site - all OK ,was all requirements , well done out and met our requirements for a one night stay over on route to CT and was able to squeeze my Prado down the very narrow driveway - it was however off road . Nice easy walk to dinner up the road at a crazy restaurant called the rude chef ( met her and she is will of bull but quite a character ) food and setting was must enjoyable would return and do recommend it ( ask for the ruse chef - quite a story )
I would stay again not 1 item i could say that we did not enjoy or like , it was cold but warmer than Kuilsfontein .
we did a quick try to O for olive - a must do tour very informative - dont do the other well know option they only do oil .
Gaye Gurneys at the top of the road is also a must - lots of places to have breakfast and can walk to all options . Wife was also able to buy some wools at the Yarn shop so all happy . Must do the swartberg pass to Calitzdorp - and visit BoPlaas winery
- Pieter (9/5): Superb -
- Miles (8/5): Very good -
