- Tracy (8/5): - Amazing location just 15 minute walk to collesem and eateries on door step. The accomodation amazing collecters art work etc. No space to make cup of tea and shower toilet a little tricky.otherwise wonderful. Check in easy and hosts so accomodating
- Robert (9/5): Nice quiet place to stay for up to many days and it has a good location - The room was bigger than we expected from the photos. Room was quiet at night unlike the last 2 places. Courtyard view was fine. Owner gave us a hot water heater to make coffee. Place was kept very clean. Security was very good. There was someone home to answer the door on arrival unlike some other places. TV worked OK. Bathroom was very clean. Location was near the train statin, a supermarket, and good ethnic restaurants. We were tired of Pizza and pasta. Area appeared safe at night at least to 11 PM. Would stay again. The son speaks English but we had to deal with the mother most of the time and she does not so good if she if got a translator device. Elevator was broken for a few days but not their fault and they are on the first floor not higher as in some places with no elevator. Might get hot in the summer as they only have fans and no AC. Room has a shared bath so that made the room a bit on the high cost side.
- Rosemary (9/5): Convenient and affordable location in Rome - The location was really great for the metro and good restaurants. The proprietor was helpful and interesting. She has a passion for antique posters, and collectibles. Although it was fine, we weren’t used to having an all in one location for the shower, toilet and bidet.

- Hannah (10/5): Amazing place, great locatio in rome - The host was lovely and cleaned the room and tidied everything up every day The toilet is in the shower room

- Mark (7/5): Fun and simple - Good location, 10 mins walk from main station. Fun decor (old movie posters and toys). Shared bathroom was fine, but a bit odd (toilet is in the shower stall / wetroom style I guess)

- Richel (10/5): - The elderly woman was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Although she could not speak English, we were able to understand each other through gestures. She maintained the room to an excellent standard. The room itself exuded a distinctly Italian ambiance, complete with antique charm, a quality that extended even to the view from the window. Nothing. Totally perfect!

- Medeea (9/5): - Thank you so much for everything, we really enjoyed our stay!
We were first and foremost impressed by the cleanliness and the way the family takes care of the house. And the attention to detail is something to appreciate. We felt very warm at Vacanze Romane.
- Inna (10/5): - There was no breakfast, some tea bags near the teapot would be helpful

- Pirouzi (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly host, everything was clean and no problems with anything, great for the price.
- Hannah (10/5): Great location and wonderful stay! - Cute decor and lovely large room. Lovely Italian lady who keeps the place exceptionally clean and tidy throughout the stay. Nothing!
- Ruzzel (10/5): The accomodation is accessible and near to tourist spots. Nonna was very kind and maintains the room and premises clean. -
- Abraham (7/5): Good - Big room with high ceilings. Bed was comfy and bathroom spotless. Easy access close to Termini. Walking distance to most attractions. No onsuite bathroom.
- Khin (10/5): Exceptional - A very clean rooms, unique design and kind hosts.
- Monika (10/5): Perfect for a 2-night stay! - Perfect location, very unique internal design (loved it!) and a very kind Nonna who kept the place tidy and clean all the time!
- Joseph (3/5): No English spoken - Location to station. No English spoken..Owner did not answer door or phone calls for an hour and a half while we waited outside to get our bags to go to airport. If we had booked a particular time for transport we would have forfeited tickets and we could have missed our flights.....as it was we were late getting to airport
No breakfast provided although it is stated as a bed and breakfast.
No coffee or tea facility in room.
Toilet in shower recess and shared bathroom.
- George (8/5): Would certainly recommend it. - The bed was the best that I had in 3 months in Italy. Movie posters on walls gave it real character. The non english speaking lady was very nice. Her son spoke English. Bit pricey.
- Angelina (9/5): Clean and comfortable, excellent location near Roma Termini Station. - Location was excellent, we got to Rome by plane>train - and from the station to the hotel we walked 10 minutes. It is also close to bus stops and metro station. 15 minutes walking from Colosseo. Bedroom and toilet really clean, the lady owner would replace the towels (and tidy up a bit) every day. Shower with hot water and no problem with heating/electricity. Another positive was that on our last day we could leave our bags at the hotel to go for a walk, even though we had already checked out. One thing the owners might do is to describe how to find the hotel - there is no sign just intercom, so we were a bit lost. We rang the phone number displayed on Booking and it was all sorted though.
- Jocelyn (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the decoration, gives you a true roma experience instead of some hotel. Lovely hosts, always cleaned & tidied the room.
- Marcello (10/5): A vacation stay to never forget, wonderful memories. - Location was 100 ft from Metro, 3 blocks from a Supermarket, Rita and her husband were extremely courteous hosts. We would definately stay there again. N/A
- Vishal (10/5): Beautiful property, vintage posters, and the hostess is just an angel , though we couldn’t talk in Italian but could eas - The location Nothing to dislike
- Jordan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cassà (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ana (10/5): Vacanze Romane quite simply was the perfect place to stay for what was a beautiful holiday. - I have delayed writing this review as I don't feel as if I will be able to do justice to the overall experience we had in Rome, however it is fair to say that Vacanze Romane contributed to this fully.
First and foremost, the hosts were as hospitable as can be. Whether it was the advice on what to see or where to eat, or the welcoming way in which we were treated as part of the family, I cannot express how grateful we are to have a new set of grandparents. I am lucky enough to speak Italian and I think this enhanced the experience but sign language and pointing are just as valid ways of communication. If you find yourself in need, their son will explain any of the technical details.
Breakfast was not offered, but the apartment is located right around the corner from Regoli Pasticceria where you can have a coffee and Maratozzo (deluxe cream bun. I had hazelnut. I still think about it at times). Also there is no kitchen but, trust me, there is enough on offer in terms of high quality, affordable food in the area to keep anyone happy.
The room itself was very clean and comfortable. It was starting to go from warm to hot during our stay, but there is a fan on the ceiling which provided all the cool air necessary. A private bathroom is provided with a shower.
The place is in an almost ideal location; there is a metro station practically outside the front door and a lively park just beyond that. It is walking distance from Termini and a plethora of sights.
Honestly, just go. It was marvellous. There is very little to say regarding things we didn't like. The son of the wonderful owners is a fluent English speaker who can help with any practical issues you may face. I honestly have no complaints.
- Vivek (9/5): Superb - The house owner was very sweet and welcoming The house was difficult to find, as it's not a hotel. We had to struggle a lot .
- Sviatlana (9/5): Fantastic location, quiet neighbourhood and wonderful Nonna! - The location is perfect, the area is very quiet so you get to sleep easily, but less than a 15 minute walk to the colloseum, and 10 minutes to the main train station and subway stops. The decorations in the house were really cool, the room is cleaned daily so you always get new towels, and most of all, the hosts are extremely sweet (and a wonderful Nonna!), they leave you be, but are always there if you need anything and try their best to give you a great experience! Thank you for the stay! While the bathroom is big and spacious, the toilet is located inside the shower area, so if you need to go, you have to take off your socks. The bathroom area did start smelling a bit after a few days of being there, but it was cleaned daily.
- Xiaodong (7/5): Good - Location Bathroom inthe hallway
- Irene (9/5): Superb - It was a room inside an apartment where an Italian old couple leaves. The room was really really clean and it smelled really nice. The bathroom was really clean too. Everyone is very welcoming and nice.
The lady cleaned the room every time we left the room and we find it more tidy than we left it.
The decoration is very unique with a retro Italian vibe from different italian movies. It is much prettier than it looks in the pictures. We recommend this place.
The location was really close to the city centrer for your sightseeing and next to Monti, which is a really nice are for your food and drinks. The area was a little scary for two female travellers. But if you are really careful with your staff you wont have any problem.
The couples didn't speak English but we communicated perfect in body language. But when you arrive their son will be there to welcome you and to give you all your information you need in decent English.
- Kristi (8/5): My second stay here. A good budget option for Rome. - Good shower pressure and hot water. Super close to termini and 15 min walk to coliseo! Friendly hosts. Super comfortable bed and fun decor. Good price. Bathroom/shower configuration is awkward but it gets the job done for a few nights stay in Rome and is clean.
- Gary (9/5): Superb - Clean and comfortable..quiet. good location near rome terminus Shower and toilet in together so got wet feet if you used the toilet after the shower
- Alireza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Riley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Knezevic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Milena (9/5): Superb -
- A654 (7/5): A cozy shared apartment near Termini - Good location
Welcoming hosts
Quiet apartment
Good hot water pressure Room cleaning was "too much" - we expect to find our personal belongings untouched in the room where we left them, not look for the stuff around the flat. Please respect your guests' privacy more / ask first.
- Zekeriya (3/5): Poor -
- Veljko (10/5): Exceptional - anselmo and his wife are great hosts, all compliments both for room and location
- Le (8/5): Very good -
- Amand (9/5): Superb -
- Daria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gvantsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeremy (8/5): Very good -
- Nino (8/5): Cute old building with vintage feel of Rome - The location is perfect. Close to the station. If you are planning on traveling to close by locations it’s very comfortable. The shower head is broken and you have to chase it around the bathroom to wash yourself
- Cristina (9/5): Nice B&B very near to everything. Excellent hosts - The hosts were an old couple very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. With a window to a big interior courtyard and it was very quiet Nothing. Just mention that the bathroom is shared with another room. We had no problem with that
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sepehr (9/5): Superb -
- Stavie (9/5): close to the centre, confortable room, lovely host (baci/baci) - The house was located close to the train station (5min walking distance) and to the centre. The old man who is the host was very helpful and hospitable (he wasn't speaking English but we managed to communicate with him). It did felt like we were living in our parent's place but there was nothing wrong with it. I enjoyed it! As about the room, it was confortable and the bathroom (shared) was always clean and there was warm room. Do have your flip-flops with you, since the bathroom is on the same corner with the shower. We were in Rome end of August so it wasn't so warm, but since summer in the Mediterrenean region is like hell, a fan or an air-condition in the room wouldn't be a bad idea for other guest who will stay at the room in June/July.
- Ted (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diego (9/5): Superb -
- Brooke (7/5): Good - Nice family home Need the shower head fixed and the floor vacuumed
- Tidydownes (8/5): Very good -
- Nikola (8/5): Would go back. - Convenient and safe location, few minutes from Roma Termini, metro stop infront of the building, walking distance to Colloseum and other tourist spots. Extremely nice and hospitable hosts/owners, the hosts provided us with electric kettle, mugs, tea and cold bottle of water was brought to our room when we arrived. Bathroom and room were clean. We had privacy all the time. Check in and check out went smoothly. As other guests mentioned, bathroom is a bit difficult to use (shower and toilet in the same area, floor in toilet area can get wet, bring your crocks), we had no issue with that, we knew what to expext and overall it was good value for money. Blinds on window were locked - it would be better if they could be opened, but there was a ceiling fan anyway.
- Ricardo (8/5): Very good -
- Jim (1/5): miserable - Have to be crazy to stay here: have to walk through the owner's living room and kitchen to get to your room. the bathroom is shared with no lock on the door. the toilets are IN THE SHOWER so you can't take a shower without bumping into them. BIg sign "DOn't use too much water." the hallway lights are on a 20 sec timer so have to grope your way back to the room in the dark. no sitting area in the room. while the location is central still considerable walk to attractions. might as well stay farther out and use excellent public transportation and get a BETTER ROOM. Owner is quizzing you every time you come in and out, like staying at your parent's house only worse. everything
- Usahan (10/5): Alla prossima volta!!! - - Anselmo, the manager is a real gentleman and he was very helpful during our stay. Our room was very neat and clean with a large window opening to a nice and quite alley. They offer daily room service, AC and a brand new mini fridge.
- Location is great, just steps away from Termini station, a main subway line and a bus stop. Anselmo may not be the best English speaker, yet he is smart and there to help you all the time. Just use Google translate and you find yourself chatting with him about anything.
-The place is a great value for money with its pleasant and friendly atmosphere. The location was so good and close to all attractions that we skipped taking the bus or metro and kept walking anywhere.I still feel the pain in my legs:)
- Arianna (8/5): Grazie Sig Anselmo! - Great position very close to Termini train station and metro line A right in front. Clean and cozy
- Di_77 (8/5): Very good - Unique roman place to stay
Very hospitable hosts
Unique ambience and atmosphere
Close to Termini station to quickly get to the airport by train
Close to city center - easy access by busses or walk Toilet combined with shower
- Nasreen (10/5): I would stay there again every time. - Excellent location. walking distance Roma Termini, colosseum and other attractions. Metro station few meters away. The place is very clean and comfortable. beds are made and towels changed daily. The owners are very nice and respectful. we had a great stay. Nothing
- Raghid (8/5): Good place to stay in Rome. People are kind and generous - The location is near everything. The owner is very kind . Nothing.
- Sean (10/5): Lovely stay in a lovely and very centrally located place in Rome. - Anselmo, the owner, was one of the nicest people we have ever met. He welcomed us into his house, gave us advice of what to do in Rome, and even let us check in late as we had a problem with our train connection. The house is decorated in a lovely vintage style, which really sets the tone for your stay. Nothing to say here.
