Guest Reviews
- 429disneys (2/5): Avoid at all costs - Small, outdated rooms, very poor guest service/ experience with staff. Personal item left behind in the room, after check out staff can’t seem to find anything. Magic. Really wouldn’t recommend, even as a budget hotel.
- Sunshine41460520578 (10/5): Great service - It is a budget hotel but the staff are very friendly specifically Alex. He was provided a great service to me. And the check in and check out procedures is fast.
- GrandTour66161718266 (10/5): Reception staff is hospitable to the guest. Hotel local is great, making it easy to reach the tourist spot. - 前台工作人员热情好客。酒店地理位置优越,前往旅游景点非常方便。
- E485YIsa (10/5): Pleasant Stay - I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was excellent. Sandy and Dicky were especially helpful and friendly, making the experience even better. I would happily stay here again.
- Unique_Happy_Travel (2/5): Grand Name. Zero Points. Midnight Door Knocks - My third qualifying stay at Ramada Hong Kong Grand and, once again, Wyndham stay points were NOT credited.
Support failure:
- Called Wyndham Rewards Diamond support on Nov 22, 2025 (14m 21s) → no fix.
- Called again on Nov 29, 2025 (47m 33s) → still no fix.
- My Wyndham account has no tool to submit missing stay points for this property, and Wyndham.com offers no working path to report it.
Late checkout chaos:
As a Wyndham Diamond member, I receive **late checkout until 2:00 PM**. Instead, hotel staff and housekeeping pushed us out:
- **11:00 AM knock** telling us to leave immediately.
- **11:00 PM knock** (yes, PM) again telling us to “get out,” with no courtesy or verification.
Hotel truth:
Rooms = fine.
Service = disorganized.
Rewards crediting = broken.
Housekeeping timing = absurd.
“Grand” in the name = misleading.
Wyndham Diamond benefits should not be a scavenger hunt or a door-banging surprise at midnight. This property needs internal correction, staff training, and a real audit of its points automation.
- Steven (8/5): - Shops and restaurants nearby.
- Joan (4/5): - Convenient location but completely rundown. Dirty towels in room at check-in, and when I tried to call room service for fresh towels no one answered. It was only an overnight stay thus my husband and I didn't bother complaining. But definitely won't be returning.
- nampo (4/5): - Hongkong hotels tend to be small in general I understand .This room I was in had three single beds but hardly any room for their luggage.
- Hiu Fai (8/5): - It’s very convenient but the bathroom is a bit small
- David (8/5): Nice and Relaxing - Nice hotel good customer service and close to everything. Great location
- GEDE (6/5): - The location is very good
- H366DOdavidc (6/5): Mixed experience - Good location with disappointing service staff - Great location and not expensive room rates. Easy access and convenience to activities -- food/drinks/public transport/shopping, and even a nice park nearby.
- Wai Man (8/5): - About 7 minutes walk from Jordan MTR so it is still convenient for transportation. Hotel is a little bit dated but it is clean. Staff and the cleaning ladies are super friendly.
- Sabrina (4/5): - I like the location of the hotel, which is really convenient for everything. The price is also very good for a 4 stars hotel.
However, I'm not satisfied for below:-
- "Fitness center" only offers few equipments located outdoor close to street. It's not really useful in HK which weather is humid & always > 30C° in summer.
- Bed linens were not changed for > 1 week long stay. Was told it's supposed to be changed every few days. It's changed only after requested.
- Suspected the room has bed bugs. My daughter had serious bug bites on both legs & I had few on legs & arms. No new bites after changed room. However, the itchiness had lasted for ~ 1 week and the marks have still not gone.
- Foroogh (6/5): - It was near to
- Don (2/5): - The Ramada is prominent in the US. We expected a room that was at least adequate, but it was not. It was too small, and cramped. The bathroom was way too small. Later they showed us a different room that was larger but not what we would like. it was a waste of money.
- william (6/5): - Room is pretty small for a deluxe room .there is no place to accommodate luggage .bathrooms is so small just allow one person to standing up. Location is convenient to access MTR station and variety choice of restaurants nearby.
- Betty Sau Mui (10/5): - Lower price in the area convenient to restaurant and shopping?
- Chin Yee David (10/5): - My wife and I stayed at the hotel for over ten days between mid-May and June. Overall, the experience was mixed. The hotel is a bit old, but the location is extremely convenient. During our stay, the Duty Manager Kenneth Lien was very professional, thoughtful, and attentive which truly impressed us. By the way, the housekeeping lady on the 25th floor was also very friendly and kept everything very clean.
David/Eva
- Mr Narayan (10/5): - ENJOYED OUR STAY.
- edward andre (6/5): - Good for one night, good location, super hard mattress
- SzeMang (8/5): - Everything is fine ☺️ except the room is too small 😔
- Bak Soong (6/5): - Wifi connection is lousy, difficult to get connected or get cut off after a while
- Chin Nga Angel (6/5): - Okay,no additional comments.
- Steve (6/5): - The hotel has very few amenities
- Steve (6/5): - Inconvenient location and few amenities
- Elizabeth (4/5): - Beds are hard. The room is too small for two singje beds. There's not much room to move in the room for two people.
There's sleeper available for single use.
Amenity, two Chinese tea bags.
- Tsayem (8/5): - it was a great place to stay.
- John (8/5): - This property is clean.
I wish there was wifi services during my stay.
- Yen (6/5): - Staffs are not friendly
- Max (8/5): - The hotel is optimally located, close to the busy part of the city but also quiet enough. The room is clean but small, can't do much in there except for sleeping.
- STEPHEN (6/5): Vancouver Steve - Beds were not comfortable due to lousy bed matter. One could feel the coil springs underneath. Shower curtain moved and sticked to my body when showering. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is excellent
- michaelcostellonsw (6/5): Affordable hotel in the TST Precinct - A centrally located hotel in the TST Precinct and close to both Jordan and Austin MTR stations. A short walk to the buses of Nathan Road. Many interesting sights and places in the vicinity of the hotel: Rosary Church, Kowloon Cricket Ground, the Hong Kong museums of History and Science, and Temple St markets, to name a few. The rooms are tiny but spotless, and breakfast offers both western and Asian cuisines. Ideal for the traveller who spends most of their time on the move in HK.
- Simon (8/5): For the price, spectacular!! - Really good for the price. Bed was not the comfiest because they just put 2 mattresses together but it was fine. Staff were very good at fixing my remote control. Would definitely stay again.
- Patrick (10/5): - Close to the centre of things. Excellent facility and staff service.
- Michael (8/5): - Convenient and satisfaction services.
- Patrick (10/5): - Great location. Friendly staff!
- Chris (6/5): - Guest room small and bath room tiny. No good for a 180 lbs person.
- winston (8/5): - Convenient location and reasonable price are the best parts of this hotel.
- Candy (8/5): - Convenient location, affordable price
- Chin Nga Angel (8/5): - People is friendly. Good location for walkable to public transit (subway trains & buses), local stores, park & various choice of eateries.
- Pui Ling (8/5): - Hotel needs to do some renovation. But overall is good.
- peter (4/5): Small and Cheap - Rooms are so small. Not like photos. More like a boarding house you hear every door open and shut and people walking in corridors. Twin is 2 single beds wuth 49cm between. Bathroom is tiny and show leaks all over the floor.
Not cheap. Approx AU 300 for tiny.
Good points . Location is good close to Nathan Road and MTR
- Amy (8/5): - It was a really nice place. But the rooms were smaller than i expected. Washroom doors are slide doors, which had a gap peeping into the suite. Also the elevators took very long to go up and down. The free wifi kept disconnecting (barely connecting).
- Randhoj (10/5): - A very good, thank you very much, I enjoyed staying, Cheers!
- Rolf (6/5): - The standard double rooms are fairly small
- Conya Sau Chun (6/5): - There is no closet to hang clothes.
- Hubert (6/5): - My room this time was so much smaller I don't think I would use this hotel again.
- Prakash (8/5): - The hotel location is very convenient to go around the tsim sha tsui and jordan area with close to jordan mtr station and city bus stops. The room is in a slightly smaller side but it is clean and quiet with a good city view. The hotel staffs were very friendly from the start and the check in and check out service were also very smooth. We had a very pleasant stay in Ramada on our 2 weeks HongKong visit.
- Margaret Suk Mei (6/5): - pretty convenient but at least twice i had to call for maintenance on my toilet for plumbing issue.
There's no luggage console.
- Hubert (8/5): - Very good room cleaning service and she was very nice friendly !
- Jessica (6/5): Ok.... - Very small rooms but location is good. Questioning the cleaniness of the room. I got bit once and my husband got bit twice by something in our bed. Huge bite of some sort.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was good as they provide tea and coffle each day.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Front of the hotel staff should have lessons in hospitality as no eye contact, never a smile in fact quite rude.
The only place in our recent travels that required payment to store luggage.
The best person in the whole hotel was the cheery doorman
- Merry (6/5): HK Visit - room was clean, location was good. room size was probably smaller than I expected
- Verified traveler (6/5): Shopping Trip - Location was very good, room probably a bit small, staff were friendly.
- Sarah (8/5): - A great location for exploring Kowloon and convenient for links to get to Hong Kong island etc. The room was a bit small and basic, but it was very clean, and the staff friendly and helpful. The concierge really went out of his way to help us with our octopus card. Would stay again.
- Felix (6/5): - There is no gym available
- ma (2/5): - location
- stanley (4/5): - Front counter service is poor
- stanley (4/5): - Poor service overall
- Wayne (10/5): - Good
- Vaibhav (4/5): - Overall not so great property.
- Kei Kay (10/5): - Great price for type of property. Beds are NOT up against the wall on one side as is the case with a lot of hotels in Hong Kong. Clean carpeted rooms. Standard queen room has a shower that's tiny, shower curtain sticks to body with draft. Premier (handicap) room is spacious like North America motel rooms, including a bathtub! Note that Premier Rooms are right by elevators, but no worries elevators don't "ding" on arrival. Front desk was very efficient and accommodating. Requested extra blankets and got them delivered very quickly. Note that buildings/hotels in HK don't have heat, ventilation is really a/c. I even requested a heater and was delivered very quickly. The extra blankets were very lightweight and warm, no problem sleeping. Mattresses were a bit too hard for us who aren't used to that, have to say they are the norm in HK though. A bit of stale smell here and there in room and in lobby, not a huge deal. We had great entertainment watching turtles on rooftop garden from queen room side, lawn bowling, cricket and kids soccer on premier room side. Love the location for my purposes. That part of HK is condensed, can cover a lot of ground walking within 15 minutes.
- Isao (8/5): - Location
- rochellev595 (6/5): Trip for New Years Eve Fireworks and Disney Land -
We were quite apprehensive about our booking after reading the other reviews however the accommodation was not as bad.
Pros:
Transport - The hotel is very centrally situated. The MTR is a 5 minute walk called Jordan station. From the airport we took a bus, the A21 to Jordan station and then walked. We got very lost. Hence to get to the hotel from Jordan Station, you need to use exit D and then turn left when you come out. At the robot turn left again and walk straight down and you will see the hotel on the right hand side, in an inner road.
At Jordan station, you can take the train anywhere by reading the signage. To get to Temple Market, you can also walk through the station which is faster (P1 exit).
We got our Octapus card from the airport at the ground floor in the middle. This can be used for restaurants also. The money that is left over will be refunded however they keep 15 hong kong dollars as a service charge per a card.
Restaurants: There are alot of restaurants to eat at which is walking distance to the hotel including a seven eleven.
Cleaning of the Hotel room: On one day, we slept in late and the room could not be cleaned. The cleaner said she will clean later. We didn't think she would come back however before the end of her shift she came back to clean the room. She was amazing and we appreciated her approach.
Cons:
The room is like a matchbox. It is extremely small. There is no place to put your big suitcases. The bathroom is the size of what they have on a ship cruise. There is literally no space.
The breakfast is extremely limited and mediocre and the dining area has an old smell. If you are a big breakfast person then it would not be suitable.
There is no porter so you need to push your own bags.
Would stay again because of the convience however not for more than 2 nights.
- WINGCHEUNG (4/5): - small room and dim
- Verified traveler (6/5): Worse mattress!! - The restaurant staff and the cleaner are nice. However, the quality of the bed mattress is horrible. We can feel the spring coils (all over the bed). After we asked for any solution, they only gave us one more blanket to cover the mattress. The wall paper is very old fashioned. We thought we went through the time channel to go back to 1960's.
- James (10/5): - Love lower floor there is 7/11, grocery store, 2 restaurants, plus a few other shopping stores
- Stephen Chiu Fan (6/5): - The toilet is too small, and very hard to take a shower, and also the quality of the slippers are very poor, and the room is too small. The location is excellent and very convenient.
- Francopacitto (4/5): Unpleasant stay. - Great location! Other than that, the rest of the establishment and staff are sub-standard. Staff not very helpful. Rooms are small, especially the bath and toilet area. Nowhere to place luggage, other than on the second single bed. No laundry service. Breakfast is average. I won't be back here, for the price.Poor value for the money!
- Victor (6/5): - Location is decent. Room is not well designed. Cannot find place to hang up clothes. Only 1 wall outlet was working.
- Alfred (6/5): - The room is tiny. If you thought shower stall in a cruise cabin was small, think again. The shower curtain sticks to your skin during shower.
- Voyage01156034907 (10/5): Pleasant Stay on the 28/F - This is the second time staying with Ramada Hong Kong Grand. I feel thankful for the room arrangement of duty manager Ms. Sandy Lau, and the front office team was well managed also. Moreover, the housekeeping team was very helpful and they cleaned my room well. Hope that they could maintain the service quality and the cleanliness of the rooms.
- Ket (6/5): - The drain of the bathtub was plugged .
- Mayank (6/5): - Front staff and concierge staff were not at all helpful. They were rude and not providing any help whatsoever information we asked them for .
The room size and bathroom was very small.
I do not recommend this hotel .
- YingHung (10/5): - Comfort
- Sivaprakasham (6/5): - Beds could be better. Rooms were very small but Overall it was ok for the price I paid.
- Ruby (6/5): - The property needs updating and the restaurant on site had limited selection of food.
- Kok Chong (8/5): - Convenient.
- Patrick (6/5): OK Place - It was just a place to stay. Nothing special. Room and the bed were exceptionally small and my feet hung way over the edge of the bed. About a 15 minute walk to the harbor.
- Alison (8/5): Friendly - Friendly staff, small but adequate room.
- Michael (8/5): Hong Kong quick stay - When we arrived they had cancelled our second room again no notification was sent but they did find a second room for us at a better rate the the one from hotels.com the rooms are very small but worked for our stay as the location was great , the place could use a good cleaning but we have had worse during our travels, at that price it was Ok
- David (4/5): - The staff wasn't helpful at all. They were always in a bad mood and stresssd
- xiaomin (6/5): - Room is small
- Ronnie (8/5): - The hotel room is clean but small, it equipped with a samll fridge and a safe. The queen size bed is comfy. Walkable area, close to Temple St. the shopping street and loved the open food stalls with pipping hot food. The hotel is close to MTR, on 23 Austin Ave. not Austin Road. Me and my friends made the same mistake.
- Yi Hung (6/5): - not my first consideration
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ramada at Tsim Sha Tsui no good - Room too small.
- Lyndsey (6/5): - Amazing location, rooms are small but that’s standard for Hong Kong. Cleaning staff in particular were so lovely.
The only problem was the walls are incredibly thin so if you are at the end of a corridor, you will hear everything going on outside the room.
- Donny Tong C. (10/5): Perfect date to stay - Very clean and walking distance to all. Safety to get in and out
- Shienfei (10/5): - The hotel location is easy to reach by public transport
- Lee Keung (10/5): - Very convenient location. Quiet area. 5 minutes walking to bus routes and MTR station. Foods and restaurants on the neighborhood.
- Lee Keung (10/5): - Cleaningness is good. Buses and MTR networks is very convenient about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Foods, restaurants, convenient stores and shopping centers in the neighborhood. Location is in the quiet area, about few minutes walking to the busy prime areas in Kowloon.
- Yi (2/5): - Small room and poor design and maintenance.
- Chun Yat Enzo (4/5): - The bed was uncomfortably hard. The double bed option was 2 beds put together, but you can feel where one bed ends and one bed begins and is uncomfortable to be not on one side or the other. Just get 2 single beds. The room smelled like mildew, and the wifi was inconsistent and would disconnect me every 15 minutes or so. Considered changing to a different hotel near the end of my stay
- Kunling (8/5): - New technologies saves lots of time for passengers.
- Reyvenson (6/5): - This hotel needs a major update..our towels are even all worn out and has holes on it.
- Cecilia (6/5): - Location is OK but a little far from MTR. Walk to any shopping is great. Tiny room but it is still OK because it is in Hong Kong. Color of the hotel make it looks so old & not very clean. A little smelly all the time which makes it not feel too good.
- Nastiti (8/5): - Booked a standard room double but at check-in the staff said it is fully occupied, so I was given a standard room twin on 29F. Enjoyed a good view of the bay. Didn't like the entertainment option from the TV. Wished they provide international news channel or movies.
- 8joq (4/5): Old hotel - Very old hotel with dirty carpet and broken aircond. It is not very well maintained and I even got bite by bed bugs. Been here before but it was during winter. This round came to stay during summer and the heat is killing us. But it has good and convenient location.
