Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very good location and the rooms look like how it does in photos.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A simple but very clean & comfortable Inn. My room was in the front, so a bit noisy, but Luang Prabang isn't a loud place so it wasn't really an issue. They you direct over to their larger & more elegant hotel, the Burasari Heritage, for a lovely breakfast in the morning, served by a warm and friendly team. All in all a completely pleasant stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the building is so cute.and room is wide much.
when rooms light was broken, they fix ASAP.
im so thankful all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - เงียบสงบ ห้องพักสะอาด บริการพนักงานน่ารัก แนะนำดี
- Neil (8/5): Nice place to stay - Chose the Cafe de Laos as is is very conveniently located in the old city. It is particularly convenient if you want to get up early to see the monks pass by - they walk right past the front door so it is very very easy to give alms to the monks. The room was comfortable and clean - all good except the shower which was underpowered and looked like it could do with soe attention. Apart from that a very nice place to stay. The coffees in the Cafe are also very good.
- Tuck Yip (8/5): Enjoyable stay - good location..walking distant to most temples and nite market. Restaurants and cafes are all nearby.
- Anna (10/5): Small guest house in the centre of luang prabang - Perfect setting for our short stay. We used it as a base to go out and explore the town, the river and waterfalls. The staff were always helpful, the room clean and quiet but the whole town is woken by the early alms giving. We didn't find this a problem as it adds to the atmosphere. We were glad to have air conditioning after hot days out. The cafe was relaxed and served excellent coffee! We felt that we were part of the town, and could come and go easily.
- Julie (6/5): Good location for Tak Bat, but noisy - The hotel is in a good location, especially for Tak Bat, but it is very noisy. If you can’t sleep through noises from outside, you probably won’t enjoy your stay. There are lots of noises from the temple, starting around 3:40 am, and you can hear everything through the walls. The hotel is nice, but not a great value. You can find something better for the price
- Melissa (8/5): Excellent location - If no one is in registration area, step outside to see if there is a sign telling you where to find owner since he has multiple properties.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A glimpse into Laotian-Colonial House - Very cosy place with sense of serenity.
There's good in-house Barista too
- Verified traveler (4/5):
- Michael (4/5): Never stay there again - Too small, old run down with no evidence of future repairs. Whoever gave this place a good review must be homeless!
We are used to nice rooms like we had in Viet Nam for $45.00!
- Edward (8/5): A pleasant stay. - Great location. Just a short walk from both the Night Market and Wat Xieng Thong, yet on a relatively quiet strip near several nice boutiques and shops. Beautiful and large room, with attractive woodwork. We arrived early and the room was quickly prepared to enable us to check in a bit early. The staff was also very accommodating with left luggage when we checked out, enabling us to enjoy the day in this very special town. I recommend Chang Inn.
- stephen (10/5): Chang Inn - We were upgraded on arrival to the hotel around the corner.
This is one of the most charming hotels I have stayed in.
Superb locatioon, excellent food and service and friendly staff
- Hans Kurt (8/5): classic hotel in the middle of the old town. - Well situated with a nice garden, only the car park in front of the new rooms disturbs
the tranquility as already early mornings cars come and go
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Location - My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location couldn't be better. The room was warm, inviting, and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. English is not really spoken by the cafe staff, and so ordering and paying for things was sometimes a challenge. We received things we didn't order, and overpaid for other things because it was too difficult to explain. But really, this isn't even a complaint, as it isn't fair of me to expect anyone and everyone to speak English. Yes, as others have mentioned, the Monks' bell rings at 4 in the morning. This is not a problem if you just let it be part of the total experience. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
- A (10/5): Adorable Bed & Breakfast in center of it all - The Chang Inn is adorable! Whoever decorated this place is a genius, very simple but chic colonial and hipster-Laos aesetchic makes you fall in love with what could otherwise be a dull inn. It is basically a guest house, no formal reception or services. It's located right on the main street of Luang Prabang, the monks process down the street right in front of it and the night market is a short walk down the same street. I ended up renting a more upscale room for the second half of our trip and regret it. I should have stayed at the Chang Inn the whole time!
- Verified traveler (8/5): great location - Enjoyed my stay at the heart of the historic centre of Luang Prabang. sole negative point is that they were doing some work on woody elements of ground floor ( polishing floor etc....) and all furniture had been removed . it would have been nice to see the ground floor as it appears on the photos!
