• Mia (10/5): Super motel proche de Yosemite - Nous avons eu le droit à un surclassement (suite) car la chambre que nous avions réservé était à côté de celle de personne ayant des enfants. La chambre était très propre et grande. La réceptionniste était adorable et nous a conseillé des restaurants. Le petit déjeuné était très bon, il est possible de faire des gaufres. On peut aussi prendre des glaçons gratuitement dans la machine mise à disposition. La lumière extérieure faisait un peu de bruit la nuit

• Michael (8/5): Ok - It was very clean and They need to do some soundproofing if you rent or go to stay here make sure you get on the second floor of the newer part. Do not get a ground unit anybody tip towing above you you’ll hear like a drum very poorly insulated against noise.

• Roseleen (8/5): Good value motel in the centre of town. - Great location in the centre of town near restaurants and historic buildings. We had a room in the motel part at the back of the historic Sonora Inn where you check in for the motel. Inn had a swimming pool (not heated) gym and dining area which we could also use. We had a corner room with a nice view over the stream (think it was called delux King). Room was very clean and decor and bathroom were relatively modern and new. Breakfast was better than average with some fruit, yogurts, boiled eggs, waffle maker and good coffee. Server was happy to make a delicious decaff for me too. Parking in front of the motel with lots of spaces although can imagine it gets full if motel is busy. Lots of outdoor seating options which we were able to enjoy with the sunshine. Would stay again if I was in the area. Bedside light wasn’t working. Sensor fan switch which came on when you moved in the bathroom but at least it wasn’t too noisy. Room was located next to the ice machine so got woken by people filling coolers at 6am. Also some early morning noise in town but to be expected in town centre.

• Tamara (8/5): Good deal for the money not a 4 star reaort - Overall good value for the money. Great location, able to walk to everything. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was remodeled. The creek behind the room was a pleasant surprise to hear the rushing water. While I will note cons i do think overall it was what I expected for the price. If I paid more per night I would have been disappointed As soon as we walked in the room smelled like cigarette smoke despite the property being non smoking. I opened all the windows to give it fresh air and that helped alot. We kept the windows open the entire stay. Room was next to laundry room so heard washer and dryer being used early. (Not sure if smoking stale room could be due to old motel or employees smoking) there was a leak coming from the laundry room. The breakfast was basically all carbs and nothing diabetic friendly. The bed was uncomfortable and room tight. The neighbors upstairs were so heavy footed that even playing white noise didnt drown them out sleeping.

• Stew99 (10/5): Quiet Room in the Heart of Sonora - Hotel Lumberjack is a modern/updated classic 2 story motel. The room was quiet, it is about a block from S. Washington St (the main drag in downtown Sonora). The room had many convenience amenities; microwave, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, large TV with over 50 channels. On the desk, there were USB charging ports, HDMI port (didn't use) in addition 2 AC power sockets. AC power sockets was also available bedside. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast (waffle maker, yogurt, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, hot and cold cereal, milk and juice, coffee and hot tea, etc. Heating/AC is provided by, motel standard, under window heat-pump. These units are kind of loud by nature. The room is not spacious if you’re going to spend a lot of time in the room moving about. I’d defiantly stay here again.

• lisa (1/5): Avoid rooms within three doors of the staff laundry room. - Location our experience was significantly impacted by excessive noise caused by an industrial washer and dryer located next to our room. The machines ran continuously from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., producing a loud, intermittent humming and vibrating sound. The noise was persistent and disruptive throughout the day, making it difficult to relax or enjoy our room. When moved to the next room over we could still hear it.

• Helena (9/5): Lovely place to stay - We stayed at this hotel during our skiing trip at Dodge Ridge. We could not find a place closer and this was a good 40 min drive option. This hotel is perfectly placed just a block away from the lovely Sonora downtown, which offers many great restaurants, gift shops and more. It is recently renovated so the rooms are clean and modern looking. Interestingly enough, the room still smelled like the classic motel - a little damp. The personnel at the reception were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfast was very simple but good. Most restaurants offer 10% discount when you present the hotel room key card.

• Marc (9/5): Great MHotel in lovely Sonora - We were positively surprised by how wonderful Sonora is, and the Hotel Lumberjack is right behind the main street, where you can find a variety of restaurants and stores. During check-in, the staff gave us discounts for some of the neighboring restaurants too. The next day, we visited a lovely farmers market in Sonora. Overall, amazing location. Most importantly, we can confirm that the breakfasts at Hotel Lumberjack are great. Our room was renovated and had all the amenities that we needed. There was plenty of parking, and we had no problems finding a spot. It might have been my european mistake, but I imagined that our stay at the Lumberjack hotel would be in a hotel room... within a "typical hotel" building. So it was a bit of a surprise when we arrived and we saw a Motel. It turns out that there is another building that looks more like a hotel (where the swimming pool is located). Interestingly enough, the rooms at the Motel are renovated and nicer that the ones in the Hotel. We stayed at the Motel and it was great... defying expectations that I learnt from American films and series.

На ресепшене сказали парковаться на парковке банка, где стоят таблички с предупреждением об эвакуации 👍 Чистота сильно хромает. Стены комнат сделаны из «бумаги», слышно абсолютно все со всех сторон, как будто в комнате с тобой живет еще 10 человек. При этом отель не придумал ничего лучше, как разместить зону для курения прямо напротив комнаты! Откуда всю ночь доносился громкий смех и запах травки! Поспать почти не удалось, жалко потраченных денег!

Unfortunately we had a VERY noisy guest in the room above us that kept us up all night. It wasn’t just footsteps, it was very loud crashing/ banging noises until 4am. Very sad because everything else was great.

• LeahSydney01 (6/5): Ok place to stay in Sonora - We stayed here for one night as part of a road trip. Our room was nearly renovated which was nice, although a bit on the small side for 3 people (we had a room with 2 double beds). The aircon worked well and was needed. There was a microwave in the room. This hotel is part of a complex which includes the Sonora Inn next door. Reception is in the Sonora Inn, as was breakfast which was basic but adequate.

• F3815CYdanielc (10/5): An experience I want to repeat - We actually stayed at the Hotel Sonora and loved it. It was really fun staying in such an historic place. We were on the ‘ghost floor” and I saw one! The hotel staff were outstanding!!! Complementary breakfast was good. Entire hotel was clean. Sure it smelled like an old building in the hallways, but it WAS an old building and that was part of the adventure. The room didn’t smell and was perfectly clean. I’d like to stress that - the room was odor free and clean. (I’m super fussy about the cleanliness of the hotel rooms I stay in.) Hotel was in the midst of the town. I wish we had more time to explore - the town was very very interesting. Bottom line: I can’t wait to go back. Next time it will be my destination and not just passing through.

• joaniec355 (6/5): Great Stay on a Budget - Place was very clean and renovated nicely. The price was a good deal for the area. There were a couple of drawbacks. The room was very small, so not much room to move around. Also, the bathroom door was a rolling barn door, which wasn't my favorite. Breakfast was functional but not fancy or elaborate. Location is outstanding.
• Margaret (6/5): Probably would not stay there again - Location, staff, selection and cleanliness at continental breakfast Mattresses were old and uncomfortable, especially the one farthest from the window air conditioner. We think everyone used the 2nd bed escape the direct wind from the conditioner The runner between the beds was so old that all the non-slick stuff was worn off and it skidded very easily. After each of of had nearly fallen when stepping on it, we rolled it up and put it in a corner so we wouldn’t get hurt. (Put it back and reported it at the front desk when we checked out.) A personal prejudice: cheap plastic eating utensils for the continental breakfast. Have you tried eating a nice hot waffle with cheap, easily-broken, dull plastic knife and fork? Broken screens in original buildings. Took the building from looking historical to looking run-down.
• travelprin (10/5): Fun weekend getaway - Location incredible, room clean & updated, staff very friendly & helpful. Wish pool had rail to help get in. For older folks would feel safer entering water.

• roberto (9/5): Soggiorno vicino allo Yosemite - Buona posizione per poter visitare il parco Yosemite. Camera spaziosa e pulita. Staff molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione basica ma con possibilità di farsi dei waffles freschi sul momento. Possibilità di parcheggio proprio davanti alla struttura. Niente.
