• Alice (10/5): - Great location 5 mins walk from main square but in a quiet location. Amazing value for the junior suite with a great balcony.
• olivia (4/5): Okay but could have been better - When we arrived the staff was not very friendly and helpful. Parking was difficult due to codes and the parking being away from the hotel. We had to ask for help from the hotel staff which we got, to get into the parking and out again. One couldn't open a window in our bedroom at all and there was an aircon which blew right onto the bed. So we were either hot and stuffy or in a cold draft. it was clean and quiet.

• David (10/5): - Location was right in the middle of things which is exactly what we wanted - great private parking which was super easy to access (extra charge but super convenient & reasonably priced seeing as we were right in the centre of Lille) ... breakfast was good but area was small, got busy and was a bit cramped ... room was spacious, clean & comfortable ... staff were friendly & helpful - we enjoyed our stay!

• SHIRLEY (8/5): Great weekend break - Lovely hotel in a convenient location so easy to get around. Staff are all welcoming and friendly, good service, and clean rooms. Good range of choices for breakfast and lots of restaurants near by. We ate in one evening and their burger was great.
• Vicky Nga Yung (8/5): - The hotel location is great, very close to the main tourist area and not too far from the Eurostar station. Room was very clean and super helpful staff. When I was there, the aircon on the sixth floor was not working, as the room faces the sun, it can get quite hot and stuffy, so we have therefore asked to move to another room. The staff was able to arrange that on the following day but the other room was also quite stuffy and it did not feel like the aircon was on. I’m not sure if it was turned off because the weather was still a bit cold but we have decided to just have the window opened. So it was a bit noisy at night on the weekend but at an acceptable level. I would still recommend for its quality and location.

Rooms were clean and very comfortble. Breakfast was amazing. Good selection of food. My mobility scooter broke down and they managed to sort out the hire of a wheelchair for while I was there. Nothing was to much for them. Definitely recommend A*

• Matthew (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay, the Junior Suite was perfect for our family, well appointed, clean, and with a balcony to soak in the atmosphere. The staff were fantastic: would recommend and will be coming back.
• Brent (10/5): - Hotel was close to the main square. Room & beds were clean and comfortable. Due to the unique windows in the hotel it was a landmark to be able to easily spot from a distance. 2 areas that challenge the hotels rating: 1) Parking is paid and you have to check in prior to being able to park. This is offset in that there is an ample pull out in front of the hotel to stop in while you check in. 2) Some of the finishing painting / carpentry appears to have been hurried. It does not impact the stay but it was noticeable.
• Helen (10/5): - The hotel is in a very good position for walking to sights and restaurants. The room was clean, a good size and well appointed. The only downside was that the air conditioning was switched off at this time of year (end of September) and on a sunny day the room was very warm. The windows would only partially open and at night had to be closed to keep street noise out.

Parking was convenient and secure, if a little tight. The hotel and room was comfortable. Quite a lively area
• Megan (8/5): - I had a good night’s stay at the Best Western Why Lille. Comfortable room and bed, free minibar, nice shower and bathroom and a very friendly greeting on arrival. There were some maintenance issues with my room which was a surprise for a relatively new hotel; while disappointing these did not affect my stay. The restaurant’s evening offering is limited but the food was nice. Good location to explore Lille.

• patrick (10/5): - Great location, easy parking (if you pre book), some very nice rooms - we had a suite and it had a fabulous huge roof terrace with sofa and sun beds. The best thing about the hotel by far is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they all go out of their way to help you- the staff exceeded my expectations by a long way.
• Jennifer (8/5): Lovely stay in lille - Wonderful welcome from Jean-Baptiste on reception who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful, giving us lots of recommendations and handy tips. Room was lovely and big, well furnished and good to have choice of foregoing a full bedroom clean for 2 free drinks in the bar! The only thing which spoilt it slightly, but not the hotels fault was noise from the local bars, expecially as Euros were on during our stay!

The room wax well equipped but a bit on the small side. Weather was cold when we were there and the room heating was not working well. The bathroom was particularly cold. The hotel staff kindly provided an additional electric heater which helped.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great getaway base! - We had a wonderful family getaway to Lille over the halfterm weekend. The Why hotel was the perfect base. Easy to walk anywhere in the city and plenty of shops and restaurants and museums nearby. Very comfortable and convenient. We visited during and after Storm Eunice but experienced very little disruption; everything ran smoothly and the hotel were very helpful.

• Stuart (8/5): Great hotel in good location - Great location and lovely staff. Room was nice too with fantastic shower and really comfortable beds. Unfortunately there was a bit of a drainage smell in the room. We did put up with it because the hassle to move rooms after unpacking would have been worse - althogh I'm sure they would have moved us had we asked. The breakfast was great. Freshly squeezed orange a real treat! Whilst everything was quickly replenished and staff were realy friendly, more attention could have been paid to making sure bowls, cutlery etc. were available.
• Nellie (10/5): - I stayed at the Best Western Why with my wife and 2 children. In my opinion it is an excellent hotel. The location is very central, we could walk everywhere, no need for the car. We used the underground parking (additional charge), which was private, safe and right by the hotel. The rooms were very clean, modern and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a "spa" feel to it as the toilet was in a separate room. The toiletries were high quality Rituals branded which was a nice touch. We did not eat in the bar restaurant, but it was busy and looked good. The check in was fine and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was a buffet which was OK, did the job but quite to the same quality of the other features. Covid controls were good with plentiful sanitizer, screens and compliance with mask usage. All in all highly recommended
• Grace (6/5): Hotel okay - some issues - This is a nice hotel but the shower water was cold! We reported it, someone came to our room to check it and left. It turned out when checking out the next morning it was an issue known to the hotel and other people had experienced the same. Also in our room (4th floor) there was damp on the ceiling. We knew people staying on the 6th floor and they also had a damp smell in their room.

It was also refreshing to have a free mini bar that was restocked daily.There was also a good selection of hot and cold food at the help yourself breakfast bar in the hotel restaurant.

• TERENCE (6/5): Small and noisy. - Hotel is okay and staff are very helpful but don't control guest behaviour. Breakfast is served in a very small room which is also the bar area later on in the day. Breakfast is average and a little disappointing. Noise at the front of the hotel is horrendous from returning guests in the early hours. Some guests returning at dawn were permitted to make as much noise as they liked keeping me awake for most of the early hours.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Quirky Hotel, Central Location - Quirky hotel in a good central location, near the train stations and Old Town. Comfortable retro style seating in the reception area. Room was spacious with a large balcony, raindance shower, free toiletries and minibar. Friendly reception staff. Unfortunately we had to wait a few hours for our room to be ready when we arrived and, despite being out all day during our visit with the sign on our door, our room wasn't cleaned again during our stay. The aircon didn't work well enough to keep the room cool to the temperature set, so it was too hot during the night and, being above a busy street, too noisy to keep the windows open as an alternative to using the aircon. Despite these two issues, it was a good short stay overall and we might consider staying here again.

• PF (10/5): - This is a really lovely hotel. Quirky, but really modern and the rooms are big, clean with great furnishings, a waterfall shower and lovely bathroom suite. The staff were really so helpful too. My only slight complaint would have been with the time we visited Lille, over a weekend in late July. Lots of restaurants were closed, even the hotel's restaurant on Saturday night! Did genuinely love the hotel though and it was great value for money.
