Additionally, we had ordered a gift sweet package from Zomato and it was allowed to be delivered (otherwise Zomato service is banned) Small room and felt mosquitoes also. And changed 3 rooms because of air conditioners not working. Staff make excuses making different reasons. Technical came and said it will work. One night staff on duty said the air conditioners plant feeding our room is not working for many days. Then why are they renting this room Comfort of stay , mental stress during stay . We can’t sleep because of discomfort

- John (6/5): The Umrao is all right for a good night's sleep and the close proximity Delhi's main airport. - My wife and I stayed at The Umrao twice in October 2025: 13th to 15th and also 25th to 26th. The grand Drive to the hotel and the lobby / entrance area are quite impressive. However these are only first impressions. The carpets on the ground-floor (to the rooms) must have been there for a long time, being grubby from use and spillages of coffee and tea over the years. The rooms for both our stays were clean and tidy. In the washing / shower room the shower, wash-basin tap and associated plumbing worked, but were clearly showing signs of age. Additionally, during our second stay the room safe was out of order. The cost for this one-night stay was the equivalent of over €200 - a goodly price even for European hotels. In both cases the beds were large and comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. A swim in the hotel's outdoor pool was very pleasant. However, also here, the paving stones around the pool's edge were showing signs of age - many of them were loose. They should be re-set and the filling around them re-pointed to make them safe again. In conclusion, The Umrao is all right if all you need is a good night's sleep and the close proximity Delhi's main airport. But whether this is worth €200 per night is a decision for each prospective guest to make. s. oben.

- christopher (9/5): A little paradise so close to Delhi airport, but you wouldn’t know it…… - Massage to shoulders and back at the spa was a much needed treatment after 2weeks on motorbike’s AWESOME I’ll accept, as a Hindu/Muslim/Sikh religion region, there’s no beef, so the burger ordered was chicken based, but sadly breakfast which was offered with eggs and bacon didn’t arrive as eggs over easy and proper rashers but an omelette with turkey/chicken bacon. Tasty but not as ordered.

They kept charging me over my booking amount. And I ended up paying more than the original amount at their website for the cheapest of their rooms. Nothing was stocked in the room.
