Guest Reviews
- Monica (5/5): - Good place. I think 5 out of 6 times I have stayed here, the pool has been broken. Also the food selection seems pretty poor. There used to be more items and now its very far and few between.
- Monica (10/5): - Limpieza
- ALYSSA (10/5): - It was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A fair amount of wear and tear on carpets, bath and shower fixtures, etc. Also came across several box elder bugs throughout the room.
- Dalexus (10/5): -
- Saterra (3/5): Not going to stay again - Breakfast was good The pool area was closed and that was the whole reason I chose to book a night there. Also the side door to go outside was not a secured/locked door, it was just open for anyone and it would slam shut every time someone used it. It would slam so hard it made my door slam even with it shut. I didn't get any sleep because people were in and out of the building constantly, all night long. The door would slam and it would startle me and my dogs.
- Crystal (8/5): -
- Sheryll (10/5): - Friendly staff, cleanliness
- oscar (2/5): - No comfortable chairs to relax in. Carpet was crusty. Pillows were lumpy.
- Tosha (10/5): -
- Justin (10/5): -
- clairecY9808GM (10/5): Minot ND..., - Efficient front staff. Clean comfortable beds and fluffy towels. Parking for RV was muddy. Needed 4 wheel drive! Light breakfast was light
- David (10/5): -
- Carolyn (8/5): It was ok. - Close access to everything. The pool and hot tub were down during our stay. They didn’t offer much of a breakfast No Protein all sweets.
- Kayla (8/5): -
- Brittney (10/5): -
- Mary (10/5): -
- Adam (1/5): - The staff was rude and did not tell us the pool and hot tub was down!! Very disappointed.
- Kent (10/5): -
- Kamol (10/5): Good -
- LeanneM1228 (2/5): Never again! - The bathroom was dirty, it was the room beside the check in counter and if I had to guess the guy working the counter uses it to clean up as his color beard was the same as what was in the sink area in our bathroom and there was toothpaste in the shower! He was also smoking a joint when we checked out. The room next to us had the TV blasting all night
- Ronald (5/5): Loud! - I liked the location, shopping and hospital are close. I didn’t like when I checked in. A group had rented a party room that spilled into the lobby, they were so loud the person at the desk didn’t hear me arrive, so I stood there in the noise for a while. I later went outside where one of the party guests were being rude to me. Not once but twice, I didn’t know these loud drunk people and didn’t deserve to be treated that way by someone who was intoxicated!
- Jeffrey (9/5): -
- Melanie (8/5): I’ll stay here again - Great staff
- Stephen (10/5): -
- Ronald (8/5): - Price seemed best among the more reputable motels Odd smell when first entering. Never smelled like it before. I guess I got accustomed to it
- Elizabeth (7/5): It was convenient and a good price. - It was clean and the mattress was comfortable. The pillows were terrible. The room smelled a little funny.
- Maureen (5/5): -
- Brandi (2/5): - There were ants in the room. Ice machine didn’t work. That room type should have a king option.
- Michael (10/5): - Stayed there many times, will for sure be back
- Julie (8/5): - The air conditioner didn’t work very well and you could hear a lot of upstairs and adjoining room noise.
- Mike (7/5): - No chair at desk
- Relax49726746166 (10/5): One night stay - Clean rooms, comfy bed and friendly staff. Breakfast was good but wished they had eggs. Would stay here again when in Minot.
- Jessica (4/5): Didn’t match the rating online, very disappointing stay. Didn’t feel clean and I - Online check in was easy but then the front desk is almost pointless There were beard hairs all over my bathroom counter and sink and a woman’s hair on the toilet. I was woken up at 2am by the room next to me when they took a phone call and it sounded like they were IN my room. Also the room was TINY. The coffee machine in the room was old and lined with white residue on the edges. I had to unplug the fridge in the room bc it would suddenly rattle so loud I couldn’t sleep. The front desk lady in the morning didn’t have most of her teeth and it’s pointless to tell them anything was dirty in my room so I just checked out and left
- Helen (1/5): Choose a different hotel - Leaving it the girl who worked on reception on an evening was very helpful, chatty and friendly. Day time receptionist was rude, the hotel was dirty. We had to change rooms, the heater wouldn’t shut off and it sounded like I was sleeping next to a semi truck. The rooms are dated and stuffy. Would not recommend and will not be going back.
- Margaret (10/5): - The breakfast was good a nice location
- Daniel (8/5): - Clean room. I just needed some sleep and it was perfect The breakfast wasn't anything to marvel over but it was enough to get me started and down the road.
- 310jeffj (8/5): Eh,ok. - Cheaping out on breakfast. Went to Microtel because it was a good place with a great breakfast. NOT NO MORE. NO chocolate milk, scrambled eggs, potatoes, meat.... just cheap machine pancakes and oatmeal in a bag. Will not automatically stay here anymore.
- Bill (9/5): -
- Matt (10/5): - Nice clean room
- dawnm918 (4/5): Will look for a different hotel next time - Booked it because it had a hot tub and was closed. Our keys didn’t work most of the time. Our fridge was set to 1 and everything froze. Our Diet Coke exploded.
- Derek (9/5): -
- patricialZ9939XJ (6/5): Time for some updates!!! - Needs a lot of updating. Pool is closed and looks like reading reviews it has been for a while. Cleaning and inspections of the room are definitely needed. First room I was in had dirty sheets. Also the breakfast was the most basic continental I’ve ever seen. Milk, cereal, apple or banana, coffee or a danish is your options. Could’ve thrown in some muffins or something. They have a pancake machine out but nothing to make any with which I thought was odd. The cereal is in a dispenser and there’s 3 choices.
- Tom (10/5): - The front desk staff was great and helpful
- Nicole (9/5): -
- Lisa (8/5): - We were disappointed that the hot tub was not working still. It’s been a long time. I think if they don’t want a pool and hot tub anymore they should take it off the website. We paid more because we thought they had one. Breakfast is mid. No protein served. Not even a boiled egg. Very plain Jane. Clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable so no complaints there.
- Lynette (5/5): It was a comfortable place and the price was very reasonable. No frills. - The employee that checked us in was very friendly. The hotel was decent, but nothing to brag about. Breakfast was your standard continental breakfast - muffins, yogurt, etc. Bed was comfortable. There was a used towel hanging on the hook of our bathroom door and a used coffee pod in our coffee pot, which made me question housekeeping, We had checked in late (around 11 pm). We were starving, so after we brought our stuff up to the room, I went down to get some chips or something from their pantry. The gentleman who had just come on shift would not sell me anything from the pantry because the computers were down. I suggested he charge to my room once he could and he simply told me couldn't do anything. So I paid $2 for a snack bag of chips from the vending machine. :(
- Edith (10/5): - The room was very clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Parking lot is well lit and safe
- Benjamin (4/5): Won't be staying here again.😒 - Desperately needs a renovation. And not talking about the ones they did with silicone and galons of paint. Haha. Not even worth what I paid it. The best thing to do would be to take a bulldozer to it.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Nice property and good stay but our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke.
- Karen Louise (10/5): - We came to Minot for Hostfest so the hotel was close to the event and easy to get to. Breakfast was good and there was quite a bit of variety. Staff was very helpful!!
- s (4/5): - We were very disappointed in this location. Upon arrival we were informed the pool and hot tub were down for maintenance and were told “we should have known already.” I wouldn’t have booked if I had. They ran out of pancake mix on Friday morning. No one was around or at the desk to manage the breakfast area. Eventually another visitor tracked down a cleaning staff who searched for the desk clerk. She in turn threw a container of frozen pancakes on the top of the microwave and rudely told an elderly gentleman how to use the microwave if he wanted them. The remainder of the muffins and toast were extremely limited and not refilled/monitored. Throughout our 4 night stay, clerks were only at the desk in the evening. Otherwise you had to search. Sometimes there was a note where to find them but mostly not. Comforters were stained and the rooms were worn down. We opt not to stay at high end locations but simply want a location that has good service, clean and matches their description. This is not it.
- Wanda (8/5): - The staff was polite and very helpful. There was a miscommunication that resulted in my room being occupied by someone else when I checked in and went to my room. The desk person worked quickly to figure out the problem and the solution was excellent with an upgrade to a new room
- Darlene (8/5): - Room was good , breakfast was a poor continental , very short of supplies and still over half hour till was finished snd no one refilling , staff could be abit more aware of where shuttles pick you up for going to Hostfest , second day we knew the routine . The toliet could use a good scrubbing under the rim , mold was awful . We would definitely stay again
- 986cliffords (2/5): Urinated soaked mattress - The room i stayed in out of 2 beds one had been urinated on by a previous person. And covered up with clean bedding. Would not recommend and this is not my first time staying with them. Don't plan on staying there again next time im in area for work.
- Chase (2/5): - So pool and hotub were both closed and did not know until check in. The breakfast was horrible pancake machine and cereal were your choices. Multiple visits from the local police due to other unruly guests. At one point the police had to break a door down to apprehend someone.
- Brad (6/5): Comfortable and cozy. - It was convenient to all the local amenities. The room was smaller than anticipated.
- Arlys (10/5): - Enjoyed the dog area, nice bench to sit on.
- Kailey (1/5): Not enjoyable - The staff was friendly. The room smelt like urine. There was a used bar of the previous persons soap in the shower. Water took 5-10 mins to get warm to shower, no exaggeration. Carpet felt dirty and was stained. Only two towels. Pillows were lumpy and hard. Mattress was hard. Breakfast pictures showed serving dishes with warm food options but there were none. I don’t usually do these but we’ve honestly never stayed in such a bad room. Hence the review.
- Debra (10/5): - The staff were great…friendly, always on top of things. The management allowed us to use their conference room as a meeting room for our reunion and it was perfect! Thank you!
- Cindy (6/5): - It was a big let down to not have the pool & hot tub available. That was one of the biggest reasons we booked there. They should let people know when the pool will be unavailable in advance so we can make other arrangements or a discount should be offered.
- Kathy (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful
- Lori (8/5): - Stayed here a couple years ago and again tonight, friendly staff clean and comfortable
- Nicole (4/5): It was an overpriced bed for the night - The front desk clerk was the only bright spot at this hotel. The room was the size of a closet, the whole hotel smelled like mildew, the pool was out of order and the breakfast was absolutely awful
- Cindy (10/5): - Family friendly and clean. Breakfast wasn't great but really what do you need. They had pancakes, toast, muffins, oatmeal pkgs, yogurt and danishes. Coffee all day long.
- Gayle A (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff, very clean.
- ROBERT (10/5): -
- Greg (10/5): - The only thing is the dead bolt wouldnt lock.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the issue i had was based on the cleanliness of the pillows, it had a strong oder, maybe from pet saliva (maybe human). they definitely were not changed out after previous customer.
pillows were not comfortable, they were like couch pillows or pillows that were folded and put into the pillowcase.
- Christie (6/5): - Nothing unique
- Angela (8/5): - Pros—across the street from Walmart and a short drive to the mall, restaurants, etc. Gas station 1/2 block away. Quiet and seemingly safe—no issues over 3 days. Has sugar free syrup and hot chocolate at breakfast. Our shower (maybe all) was super powerful! A/C was nice and cold.
Cons: hottub and pool out of order which is why we booked that one. Fridge froze our veggies.
Side notes: Breakfast options: toast, muffins/dainishes, pancakes, oranges, apples, yogurt, cereal and porridge. Coffee, Tea, Juice.
- Amanda (7/5): -
- Lorna (10/5): -
- DAVID (8/5): - All good slow check in and not mush choice of breakfast.
- Allan (10/5): - Nice staff, felt at home
- Heather (10/5): - It was good
- Heather (10/5): - Everything was great except therevwas really no breakfast. Pancake machine didnt work the juice machine didn't work. Just some danishes and muffins
- Edward (4/5): - Terrible breakfast and staffing was not motivated to help.
- Ronald (6/5): - Afternoon staff didn’t care about her job. She actually utter under her breath she hated her job. She also told us if we had any problems to wait until after 11 pm to report them because she would be gone. She also gave me the wrong room ( single bed instead of 2 beds) she told me it was because the staff didn’t clean enough rooms.. will not stay there again!!!
- Scott (8/5): - Decent
- Becky (10/5): - More choices than pancakes
- Andrew (2/5): - At check-in, the first thing the clerk said to me was "whatever it is that you want, the answer is no." She thought it was very funny, then called me honey for the remainder of our conversation.
After we checked in, we ended up canceling our reservation after one minute in our room which wreaked of mold and mildew. The person at the desk was good about the cancellation.
- doug (8/5): - Continental breakfast is bad… very few options, it’s just bad. If you want a decent breakfast at your hotel, book elsewhere. Elevator floor was covered with something sticky at 5:00pm and it was still there at 8:00am the next morning, front desk staff were aware of the issue. Vending machine had few options with many empty spots, and what was there was visibly expired, some with expiry dates in early July, Microtel you can do better. Property is getting a little tired, in our shower/tub the paint was beginning to peel, it doesn’t look very good.
Positives:
Beds are comfortable, location is quiet, front desk staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel is in a good location. Close to Walmart and a few restaurants.
I have stayed here a number of times before, will likely return again but hope to see a few minor improvements, especially the things I mentioned above.
- Stephanny (4/5): Unsettling - The hotel was a little rundown, and the room was not clean. There were stains on bedding. We had to take the top cover off the bed completely because it was dirty and the skirt on the bed had white stains on it. There were fingerprints on the headboard area and the couch on the windowsill look very worn down and not clean. There was a cobweb above our light by the TV and I found a bug on the mattress. I said a prayer and went to bed.
- William (8/5): -
- Y9111BXdineshk (8/5): Good - To improve the guest experience, the hotel should consider augmenting its professional staff. Furthermore, addressing the issue of a slight odor in the rooms is recommended.
- Reynaldo (10/5): - The stay was ok. Staff was awesome facility needs work. Breackfast needs help
- Edwarf (5/5): We only stayed one night but made the decision never to stay again. - Breakfast disappointing. Just 2 cereals to choose from and muffins and toast. Some type of protein would have been nice. We had checked in online and the clerk still had trouble finishing the paperwork. Clerk wasn’t dressed properly to make a good first impression for the motel.
- Aprilwine22 (5/5): Location was great, bed was good, but the musty smell in our room was the worst. - The bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice. Our room was so musty smelling. The only way to help that was to freeze yourself out.
The sidewalk out front was uneven and you could not get the luggage cart into the hotel with lifting it over the bump.
- Shanda (10/5): - Nice staff and clean
- Angela (8/5): - Clean and safe.
- Karla (6/5): - It had everything you’d need for a quick trip. It could do with a little more upkeep.
- Brandi (8/5): - Room didn't look like pictures
- DON (2/5): - We discussed the loud conditions with the staff, and they were unresponsive.
Friday night and Saturday night at 3:30 in the mornings, were loud partying in room next door
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (6/5): - It’s not taken care of very well. I’m on the third floor and it’s very noisy! Toiletries are very limited. Bedding is worn. The TV is attached crookedly on the wall.
- Cody (8/5): Very good -
- georgina (6/5): - Swimming area needs some care. Our room wasnt ready when we checked in even though i did the early online check in. Had to give my credit card info again . Have had a better continetal breakfast.
- Grayson (8/5): - Was an excellent stay for a small budget, staff were extremely friendly and ready to remedy any errors. Hotel provided transport to city fair at a cost as well!
- Renae (8/5): - Nothing special, just an okay stay. was ridiculously expensive, realize it was state fair time but these rooms were definitely not worth the price.
- Robert (8/5): - Another great stay
